A war is coming, and the lines have blurred.

It looks like Motshan has betrayed us, giving up our location and killing off our people like flies. Now, I’m the one picking up the pieces.

My father is dead, leaving behind a divided family that we may just be able to take advantage of. Only if we can call a truce with Motshan, and come together.

But I also want revenge.

The gang that kidnapped me is still out there, living their lives without punishment. And the man my father hired to kill me, is still a mystery. I won’t be able to rest until all those who wronged me are taken care of…for good.

There will be a lot of lives lost before I can get my happily ever after, but nothing is going to stand in my way this time.

I enjoy her books….. she is still putting in the work. Leave the drama out of it on post if you haven’t read the book. People who post to try to bring others down are no better.

I have removed my original review. The author has plagiarized work and profited off of it and I refuse to support their work any further or provide positive feedback.

This book was simultaneously everything I could have asked for and just not enough.

The beginning? *chef’s kiss* Absolutely perfect. The angst, the genuine heartbreak, the total unsteadiness of everyone in the Triad. Everything is in shambles and all anyone knows is that they are out for blood but don’t know exactly who they want it from or how to go about getting it since most of their assets have essentially been destroyed. They have manpower but nowhere to point it.

Now… I have some slightly ambivalent feelings with the way the situation was resolved between Scarlett and Motshan after the events at the end of “Liars” (if you know, you know). I don’t know how anyone, especially Scarlett, could make heads or tails in any competent manner after that night or trust their memories, but I also don’t know how much weight they carry for me in the long run in terms of rating the book. It’s like, “Yeah, this whole plot point has some holes in it I don’t like and are bothering me, but it’s all in service to something greater in the plot so maybe look at it that way”. Plus, Motshan isn’t a big enough personality to compete with either Scar or the boys anyway.

Now, we get to my favorite part of the whole book that doesn’t involve nookie of some kind: the ENTIRE middle section. The whole 30% or so section that might as well have sprung from the forehead of Frances Ford Coppola like Athena did from the forehead of Zeus. This huge, sprawling, epic action sequence was not only inspired–it was the la petite morte for all us reverse-harem mafia romance readers who love our heroes and heroines blood-soaked, violent, and utterly psychotic. What I wouldn’t have given to be a Go-Pro on Scarlett’s dress!

The largest downer in the book came after this point in the book. After the events of that day wrap up we don’t get to see the wrap-up of events between the two gangs, we get time devoted to a subplot romance I couldn’t have given a toss about, and we get a lot of waiting around. It’s just too much down time and too much discussion about babies. Nothing turns me off more than constant talk from men about when they can get to knocking a woman up.

What did I enjoy in the later 15-20%? Um, hello, Sebastian and Tristan! I don’t care if it felt a little forced. Sword-crossing is always okay in my book. And the sex. Lots of varied, spicy scenes.

Dana has concluded this trilogy in a challenging year, but she has done it with aplomb. I still remember “Scars” was one of the first RH mafia romances I read when I started reading these sorts of books last year, and I feel in love with the down-and-dirty Scarlett: the mafia princess who ran away from that life when she found out what her evil father had in store for her and decided to go somewhere else and make a life for herself. Years later, she’s made a life of her own with men who love her and her own power to wield. She may have never truly gotten away from the mafia life, but the mafia life she has she runs on her terms.

2022 reads book 23

This was way too short! I felt like it wrapped up way too neatly, there was never any doubt in the big fight scene that everybody was going to make it without a scratch.

The Seb and Tristan storyline should have started after their little bout of fun in book two, that would have made it so much more believable. Plotwise everything just went so fast.

As a whole, the series reads very fast and has a lot of smut (with a lot of gore added to the sexytimes as well, be warned), with some plot thrown in. I'd say it's a 3 star series for me. A little dissapointed with the perfect ending, but I know a lot of people do like it, so who am I to complain (minus the baby/pregnancy thing. Why.)

4.4 stars.
This was ok.
I don’t really have any major complaints.
I would’ve liked a couple things more if they were given enough time to develop…but not enough that the book’s ruined for me.
The sex was hot.
The relationships were sweet and I liked how they developed with Scarlet. They could use some work when it came to the way they developed amongst the guys though.

This just felt like a wrap up book.
Everything came together just a tiny bit too easily and then it was ending.
So. Meh.
It was ok.

The only thing I liked about this book was the spice. Other than that, everything dragged on for so long!!! Ugh!!! The way things were resolved left a lot of unanswered questions and holes in the plot. It felt unfinished. This whole series could have been wrapped up in one longer book. All this book was is more filler. It would have been much better as a 1 book series. I felt so frustrated because the series started out so strong. I still love Scarlet and the guys, but things were rushed because of so much filler

Way to short. Felt rushed. Editing was bad. But the smut as always was exciting. The whole Tristan and Seb story line I think should have happened long before this book. There was a lot that could have written into one book. For only 200 more pages the author could have added it to the other book, instead of waiting.

So now that it is over 🙄. I can read something else.

From here on there may be spoilers .

So it had been a bit since book 2 so I almost went in blind. It took me a minute to remember where we left things and when I remembered that Seb was shot I was on the edge of my seat . Then he coded and I almost Coded right along with him. Dana wrote this entire scene/event so well that you are nearly feeling the emotions of Scar.

Then He lived and I was absolutely excited to continue. Dana really had me thinking we were losing him .

The talk of them having kids throughout the book was so good, I absolutely loved the idea of them having mini Sebs/Tristans/Elliotts running around. As a parent, I dont know why but it makes the characters seem that much more real and relatable when there are kids involved.

I loved that Her and the Triad are getting a chance to relax now after all the tension in the last few books. I really hope that Dana will continue this series if it be more books or even a spin off.

A Quote that I highlighed while reading (I kinda got distracted with reading and didnt highlight much)

"(SEGGS) on the beach is for the birds, seb. I really dont want to get sand in my "V" " Chap 23

So where do I start?

I want to give a huge thank you to Dana for letting me be apart of her ARC team.

This book was everything I could ever want, it was funny, sexy, sad but every minute I kept wanting more. The blood, the comical, the sex! I couldn’t have expecting anything other than that from Dana.

Who doesn’t love the sexy Triad boys? Seb is so funny but so loving. Tristan is the boss man but still loving and great. Elliot is a hard ass, protective but loves Scar.

READ, READ, READ this book!

I love this series🙌🏽🙌🏽

Omens by Dana Isaly Review

Lord have mercy I was NOT prepared enough for this trilogy to come to an end!! Dana had me sitting on the edge of my seat when Liars ended with that damn cliffhanger!!!

With Omens she had my emotions up and down and even had me straight up wheezing at some scenes!!

I said it before and I'll say it again, Scarlet is my fucking spirit animal!! How is this bitch so fucking hot and so fucking badass while maintaining that soft feminine quality that less bad ass women have?!?!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm all kinds of jealous of Scarlet. I need me 3 sexy, bad ass men who simp for me and only me the way Seb, Tristan, & Elliot do for her!!! But hubby said I can't have my own harem.

And WTF DANA?!?! How dare you drag out alllllll the feels with that ending?!?! ❤️

If you haven't started the Triad series I highly recommend it!! You definitely won't regret it!!

Great series! I can't wait for the spinoff! In omens, Scarlet is ready to be done with everything and go on vacation with her men. But there are still some things they have to take care of. Her father is dead, and Mosthan may have betrayed them. Scarlet doesn't think he has and reassures her men that he hasn't. They have to help him take down some people in order to get the name of the man that tried to kill her. Will this finally put her at peace? Will she get the life she always wanted but never thought she could have?

What a good ending

I’m waiting on my physical copy to arrive but I needed to finish the series. I loved this series so much… I wish I had gotten the extra ending though. I know they are available in the discrete covers though. Maybe when I have more money I will do that. Cuz I know what it will probably include and I need it. Scar, Seb, Tristan and Eliott will always hold a special place in my heart now. Well done Dana ❤️

This final book in the series has been long awaited, and it was definitely worth the wait. Scarlett and her guys Tristan, Sebastian and Elliot are back for the final book in their story. Hearing more about Elliot’s story has made me warm to him as I struggled with this in the first 2 books. The relationship between the 4 of them grows in this book. They have to work together to defeat a common enemy. Scarlett finally gets her revenge, but there is always a price for information! Honestly loved reading this book and the whole series!

⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️

Worst book out of the three.

Making Seb & Tristan get together sexually...? Ew!
They’re supposed to be just friends... brothers even!

The book also seemed very rushed and slapped together. I was looking forward to this and throughly regret wasting my time with this book.

I did like though, seeing Elliot open up, and show jealously. That’s the only thing I liked out of the entire 300+ pages.

Omens was a very anticlimactic end to a meh series. The entire series has very basic generalized tropes from several different dark romances, and when it does try to do something different, it doesn't pull it off. The FMC is just another bad play off on Harley Quinn (which seems to be a common occurrence with a lot of mafia stories). I don't find her different or special in any way. The guys are all similar styles to a million other guys. We did get some MM crossover action within the reverse harem which was great. And I feel like she tried to get some depth in Elliot with his backstory. But it all just falls short. The spice though with all Dana's books was excellent, but if you took out the MM play, it was all kinda the same shit different story.

Omens by Dana Isaly is a dark reverse harem romance. This is the third and final book in The Tirad series.

Dana did a great job wrapping up the series. I loved the chemistry between Scarlet, Sebastian, Tristan, and Elliot. I really enjoyed getting Scarlet, Sebastian, Tristan, Elliot, and Motshan's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, reverse harem romances, or mafia/gang romances.

Felt very rushed, like it needed to come to an end. Thought it would have been more detailed or something... definitely felt like it was missing something.

I loved this final book in this series and I am hoping for a spin-off based on the ending. 🤞🏻 Dana's writing has always drawn me in and this book did the same thing. Seb has been and still is my baby and he deserves the entire world. 🖤💀

Maybe I've become biased because of everything that's come out about Dana but I have read quite a few of her other books and this wasn't necessarily bad.... it was just... boring. The spice was dull... the story line was dull. It felt like one long epilogue.

The others in the series were really good and I literally had this release date noted in my calendar. So this was a disappointment but I guess they can't all be winners.

Can I just say that Tristan, Elliot and Sebastian aka the Triad are one set of hotties. The are definitely one of a kind. This book had me hanging on til the end. Had me up late at night until my eyes physically couldn’t stay open anymore.

Did I just stay up until 3:30am to finish this book? Yes, yes I did.

This was a fitting end to the triad series. Keep in mind, this is a dark romance, emphasis on “dark.” Read up on trigger warnings if needed.

⚠️𝐈 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝. ⚠️

We come back right where we left off, with Seb being whisked away in an ambulance with Scarlet waiting to see what happens. I won’t give that away, of course 🙃 The rest of the novel circles around seeking revenge and determining who can or cannot be trusted. Scarlet is bloodthirsty and wants to take down her family once and for all, and she wants nothing more than to do it with the men she loves at her side.

The spice is this book is 🔥 HOT 🔥

“‘𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘱, 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯.’ 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘮𝘺 𝘤*** 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢.”

While this is a RH, Dana also introduces some M/M scenes. We still get the Scarlet/Triad… uh…interactions we have come to expect, but with a little extra ✨ spice ✨

If I loved it so much, then why not 5 stars? There were a couple moments that felt awkward or forced. There is built up tension around what happened to Elliot growing up, and whether or not he will ever open up to Scarlet. Kind of abruptly, he picks a time to just open up and spill his secrets. He kept it all bottled up for so long, I was waiting for a more intimate moment or something that felt less forced. The scene read awkward to me. Incredibly tragic and pulled at my heart strings…but yet it left an awkward after taste. I also felt awkward about all the babies these characters suddenly wanted…is that just me? 🤷🏼‍♀️ this is being very picky. After all, I did stay up all night reading it 😂

Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was a good conclusion to the series. I’ve heard a spin off may be in the future, and I am DYING to know which characters. I want more of Motshan and maybe even more of Kenna. While my heart is happy with where Scarlet and the boys’ story ended, I’m not ready to say goodbye to this world!

Overall rating: 4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 3/5 🌶🌶🌶

Okay just a PSA… I’ve heard the background about this author from booktok. No I don’t approve. I didn’t spend anything on this book. I loved the series regardless and really wanted to finish it so I got it for free on KU.

As always Isaly is amazing at the smut scenes. She makes it mouth watering and exciting every single time. All different kinds of scenes and so many emotions throughout. Some of my favorite I think.

This book is a 4 stars just because of the whole “baby” / “end your birth control” storyline which starts right at the beginning. I have no problem with the pregnancy trope but it was just annoying having these stupid conversations and so much about it if her taking her IUD out ASAP so that they could “knock her up fast”. I wouldn’t mind the spin off she’s planning but I didn’t need it in this book until the epilogue.

The relationship factor of the triad now a foursome is perfect. The boys are all so different and it makes it interesting. Though if I had to choose hands down it would be Elliot. I love an overprotective grumpy man who also is respectful but he acts why he acts because he always worries about Scar. Their relationship grew so much from the beginning.
Also… Tristan & Seb!!!! Um… ok wow. Crazy. But hot!

I don’t know why but I expected more violence in this books. The ending of the last book made me feel like we were gearing up for war between Scarlet the Triad & her brother. But no. It was easily resolved and then they worked together perfectly. Even the violence scenes were either cut short, not violent enough, or too easily handled and then it was over.

Anyways that’s the end here. I loved all 3 books and though I don’t support the claims against this author I’m happy I finished it.
