A Man of Power, Patience and Passion

Power … When Griffydd DeLanyea departed his ship in Dunloch, he thought his stay would last no more than a fortnight. Unbeknownst to Griffydd, Diarmad MacMurdock, the man he had come to see, was not merely interested in a trade alliance….

Patience … Griffydd always believed that good things came to those who waited, but the Welshman had never wanted anything as badly as he wanted Diarmad's daughter Seona….

Passion … Whether in battle or in love, Griffydd preferred to guard his feelings carefully. But the day would come when Seona would be his wife.

There is more than one author with this name

Award-winning author Margaret Moore actually began her career at the age of eight, when she and a friend concocted stories featuring a lovely, spirited damsel and a handsome, misunderstood thief nicknamed "The Red Sheik."
Unknowingly pursuing her destiny, Margaret graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. During that time, she also became a Leading Wren with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve, where she learned to use a variety of weapons and had the weepy experience of being tear-gassed.
In addition to being a wife and mother of two, she's also been an award-winning public speaker, synchronized swimmer, an archer, and studied fencing and ballroom dancing.

Margaret sold her first historical romance and the premiere book of her Warrior series, A WARRIOR'S HEART, to Harlequin Historicals® in 1991. Since that time, she's written over 25 historical romance novels and novellas. She has also written for Avon Books, as well as a young adult historical romance for HarperCollins Childrens Books. She now writes for Harlequin's new single title imprint, HQN.

Her books have been published in France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland and India.

I loved it! The characters were fantastic, real in their worlds, the author had exquisite poetic lines scattered throughout the book, worthy of national awards if they could be spun into full poems! I also loved the purity of the characters and the honor present in even the antagonists of the story. Indeed, the most heroic act of the whole book is actually conducted by one of the antagonists. All in all, this is one of my favorite books, but I am biased because I identify very strongly with both of the main characters. I will have to read some other books in the series to see how they are! I imagine I will like them, but probably not as much as this one since I loved the silent, honorable, and lonely hero, and the fiery and underappreciated heroine.

Undeveloped storyline and infantil charachters. I basically don't like Harlequin books, there just doesn't seem to be any depth to them. I finished this book only because I can't seem to leave a book unfinshed when I start it. I will not look for this author again....bored me.

This is low on my priority list because of the amount of books that I have, and so if someone wants it before I can get to it, no problem.

Very good. The story was wonderfully put together. The characters seemed real and kept you reading to see what happened to them at the end.

I absolutely loved this! It wasn't the simple "beautiful woman meets a man" type of story. I thought the characters more relatable & the story just kept flowing along. I could not put this down.

Had more depth of character development than I expected. This landed on my keeper shelf.
