I enjoyed this book and learnt a lot of useful Greek from it. I know some people turn their nose up at reading books written for children and prefer to read translations of Agatha Christie, but I've always found it useful when beginning to read in a foreign language. The characters in the book are likeable and there's humour. There's also information about Sparta and how Easter is celebrated in Greece.
