This book is an informational text to describe aspects of a police officers job that is age appropriate for younger children Pre-K- 1st grade, as it uses simple language. This is a great text to use for themes such as community helpers, careers and safety. The texts illustrates both male and female officers, which shows individual in non-traditional gender roles. This text has not won any awards, but can be a great addition to the classroom.
