The storyline and writing in Quiet Mafia is fantastic and you just get so invested in these characters. There is TONS of action and suspense from beginning to end. What I’ve come to learn through reading this series is that I absolutely hate reading series with 3+ books about one couple. I love this author’s writing, but I find the storyline far too complex to have extensive breaks between books. Personally, it takes me quite a while to figure out what’s going on again and it just comes across as the two MCs finally getting everything together, but theeeeen …. there’s another big reveal/conflict. It’s just gotten to be too much for me. Will I read the last book when it comes out at the end of the summer? Damn skippy I will. Will I like it? 100%!! Will I willingly dive into series like this again? Never, lol. Still rated the writing/story as a five because she absolutely deserves it and doesn’t deserve to get dinged for my peri-menopausal brain limitations, so there it is 🤷🏻♀️. If there’s ever a JL Drake standalone, I’ll be all over it like a rash.

I reread the whole series.
There are constant flashbacks within the chapter and then the characters is pulled back out of the memories.
Multiple POV.
Fake girlfriend for the Hero who is actually really nice and has her own reasons for wanting to pretend, not including any romantic feelings for the Hero.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Other man drama, interested parties but it's part of the plot to pretend for the heroine to be interested.
I think it's my old pet peeve, the author didn't say at the outset, when I read book 1, on release, or book 2 that it is a 4 book series.
I appreciate that if you love the story 4 books is great but I am a reader who won't read the series until it's out unless I'm tricked as I'm not told at the start.
The plot is complex and although the author does a recap as a foreword to the book you need to read them one after the other to know who is who, there are loads and loads of characters and twists and I couldn't remember who was who or who was on whose side so you need to the whole series. It's important to read the series in order.
Reading book 3 in march and book 4 in August doesn't work for me, I wish I'd waited

The Cliffhanger Queen strikes again! But I ain’t mad at her because I know she is getting ready to give us one hell of an epic ending to this mafia love story! It’s going to be a killer for sure! (wink, wink). Quiet Power is where we see Sienna take the bull by the horns and demand the respect that she is deserved. Her whole life she has been played like a puppet, but that ends here and now. There are power plays going on here that have been in development for years and let me tell you right now, blood doesn’t matter one bit. All of her life she has been searching for answers and the one person she thought could give them to her is too hung up on misguided hate and distrust. Living by hate makes a very bitter person indeed.
We get answers!! Ohhh do we get some answers but man, hold on to your butts because some of those answers are NOT what you expected! You know what’s even better??When Trigger and Tess are involved in getting those answers. You know it’s getting ready to be dark and dirty when Devils Reach shows up! This was an amazing build up into what we can expect to see for the final book and I can not wait for the mayhem that ensues!

I have never been sucked into a story line as I was with Quiet Power. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. It never slowed down from the very 1st page. The twists and turns, ups and downs, action and love. The characters are perfectly built together. The intense need and love and chemistry between Elio and Sienna is brought in 100% that you will wish you were Sienna.
Jodi has outdone herself this time and how she keeps it all going will blow your mind. But as you know Jodi loves her endings as I call her the CLIFF HANGER QUEEN this may be the worst hanger ever! I literally screamed at the very end.

Sienna and Elio are fighting a war from two different sides and the chaos surrounding them threatens to destroy everything they thought they knew. The lies, deceit, and coercion are constant- the webs woven and characters in play will keep your head spinning! Drake keeps you reading, needing to know what happens but not wanting it to end. And that cliffhanger- Damn girl! You did it again!!

I’ve been simply enraptured, obsessed, and pre-occupied with Sienna and Elio’s story. I’ve loved the instalments, savoring their bumpy relationship and the emotional dips, curves and highs. Family – crazy, mysterious, wild family! - and devastating twists and turns have been a huge part of their story. Carrying on from another jaw-dropping cliffhanger, started the next leg in the journey…
And what a trip it was. A plot was crafted and as it played out, more revelations and secrets surfaced. And yet more questions. Always more questions! Things I thought were true, suddenly became murky and vice versa. What stayed true was the relationship between Sienna and Elio. Their paths were on the same goal, and they both sacrificed to make it happen. Their times together were explosive and reconfirmed their commitment to each other… Everything else? Well, that was still uncertain…
With another jaw-dropping cliffhanger, I am glued to the edge of my seat, fingers tapping refresh on my kindle, (im)patiently waiting… ~Diane, 5 stars

Enter the ride of your life with Quiet Power...... book 3 of the Quiet Mafia series. I am overwhelmed with how much I love this, literally from cracking the cover to closing after that last page. The set up of information is a brilliant and fun way for readers to reconnect with the rich character list. The story is packed full of suspense, action, surprises, and so much more.
Also, I adore seeing characters appear from previous novels. Those treats and the way J.L. Drake keeps them alive and fresh is an awesome feat. The character webs and connections are fascinating! I can't handle how much I would enjoy a walk through her mind.
Elio and Sienna (along with the rest of the characters) will keep you on the edge of your seat. Whether you are rooting for a character or wanting to "throat punch a nonna" you will enjoy the ride. I was consumed with excitement and anticipation reading the continuation of their journey. J.L. Drake is still the master of breathtaking cliffhangers....(Love it!)! There are no words to adequately convey the level of emotional tie I have to the next chapter, after reading Quiet Power.
If you miss this series...... you are missing the read of a lifetime! So incredibly engaging - my Hubby is as engrossed as I am.

J.L. Drake does it one more time and captures the dark gritty nature of the mafia and adds her own little spice with sexy scenes and unbelievable action.
I have read all of her books and this series just takes it up that extra level of amazing intensity.
Also who doesn't love a crossover from other books??
Sienna finds her true self and becomes the dangerous woman she needs to be to survive Elios world. But she's not done yet!!
Ending with a monster cliffhanger, it'll have you begging for more.

Hold on to your hats! Your in for a wild ride! If you thought books 1&2 were great then this one will blow your mind! I could not put the book down! So many twists and turns! And of course with her famous crossovers, it makes it even better. I won’t give anything away but this series, like all her other books is a must read! Can’t wait for book 4!! Sienna and Elios relationship are tested as well as their loyalty for each other and for their family when they find out sienna is coppola blood ( capris enemy). Secrets were unraveled and both are fighting a battle to come on top. LOVED the cross over with Devils reach and was super happy to see Tess and Trigger. I can’t wait for the la finale !

OH MY GOSH!! Jodi is seriously the best author ever. This book is fire!! I tried to take my time to read it because it’s like a heart break when you finish it. Seriously 10/10. This book is sooo good!!

Book 3 OWNED ME no joke the storyline build up and characters that you thought you knew, the history we assumed we knew and the romances are a special twisted world. This book deserves full attention no spoilers in my review the only advise, smoke and mirrors remember this when you sit down to read this journey of epic Mafia life.

Each book in this series just draws you in deeper and deeper. You are left hanging time after time, begging to know what more could possibly happen to poor Sienna Giovanna and Elio Capri. Are they ever going to get that happily ever after that is dangling just in front of them? The plot is absolutely phenomenal and so compelling. The characters are so developed that you can see them before you if you just close your eyes. The punches keep coming, never giving Elio and Sienna a chance to even guess at what a life together could really entail.
Sienna's secrets are slowly being revealed and they aren't pretty. Her mother, Elenora, hid so much of her past from her that Sienna never knew her birth name was really Alessia Coppola. The Coppolas are the sworn enemies of Capris and they both have been competing for the same accounts and territories for decades. This series is so addictive and now we are one the third book. This book will suck you in from the very first page and you won't quiet reading until the very last page. There are twist and turns like crazy, some moments that are like a rollercoaster and lots of action, but most of all love. Elio and Sienna have some of the best chemistry that there is and I just love them so much. I don't really want to tell you about the story. You just need to experience it for yourself. I will say that this book will make you fell all the feels, be on the edge of your seat, and so engrossed in the book the world will just fall away. I loved this book but I'm telling you I about lost my marbles with the ending. Now I need the next book like yesterday.

OH MY EVER LOVIN' HOLY HELL! This series is messing with my head & heart in the very best of ways, and it's not even over yet! Quiet Power is the newest port of Elio & Sienna's story, and every time I thought it couldn't get any crazier, J.L. Drake leveled up AGAIN! There's been a lot that has happened to this point, and the layers are still being unraveled so I have absolutely NO CLUE as to what is going to happen next. Sienna is finally coming into her own as Queen, but it's still quite the journey since there are so many lies & deceit from those dealing in hate & bitterness. There are a lot of answers but I'm left with a lot of questions in all new directions, and the twists coming in hot take us all the way to another brutal cliffhanger ending that I have a love/hate relationship with. See, I don't want this journey to end, and yet, I also need all the answers which have me all twisted up inside LOL! This is a fabulous series that I will revisit when all books are out all over again to see how much I missed as I turned the pages so quickly! Anyway, that's enough out of me, it's time for you to experience it for yourselves as I cannot HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ENOUGH!

What an exciting read this was. There were so many characters and so many double, treble and quadruple crossings that it was extremely hard to keep up at times with who was loyal to who. The hits just kept on coming. Everyone just wanted the upper hand and was trying to keep overpowering the other. My poor head has been a mess for days just trying to keep up with things.
Elio and Sienna are supposed to be rivals now; opposing families at war. The grandmothers and brothers and double agents in the houses are scary and caused the breath to be sucked straight out of me, but I couldn’t put it down. Sienna was growing and getting so powerful and brave. She has so much gumption and can work her way out of so many situations, it was impressive. Elio was playing his role to perfection and everything seems to be going in the right direction…. Until the next bombshell.
The ending had me screaming at my kindle! Nooooooo...give me answers! I definitely need to know what happens next.

This author has outdone herself AGAIN! I thought the last 2 books in this series were amazing - but this book - WOW just WOW.
Still love Elio and Sienna together - but there were forces trying to tear them apart - we learnt in the last book who Sienna/Alessia really was - that wasn't a surprise to some characters in the story, who weren't so forthcoming with this new startling information.
Sienna and Elio distance themselves, and she goes on to her new found family to learn more about her past and her father; and what is going on - she wants to help the Capri's, if possible, but her family is a force to be reckoned with.
The last few chapters are quite 'explosive', some truths are brought to light and murders/murderers revealed.
Was happy to see Trigger and the MC make an appearance again - love the chemistry between them all.

I could not put this book down from page one! I loved Elio pretty much from the start of book 2 but book 3 well you just become obsessed with him!
You get to see where Sienna has so much more to her and how well she really would be perfect for Elio and his world.
We get so many answers that we’ve been waiting for but also i now have a few more questions.
Plus I got to see some old friends and I’ve been missing in this book!
Jodi sure knows how to suck you in and I can’t wait to see where Elio and Sienna go from here!

What a ride!!!! My mind is still trying to catch up. J L Drake just jumps right back into the action with book 3. No down time you’re hitting the ground running. With every secret revealed your just left with more questions. Just when you think you’re coming out of the dark NOPE not today. In this story you really start to see just how connected everyone’s lives really are,and how complicated of a web it all is. You definitely get more flashbacks into Elenora’s life and the events that have lead her to the present situation. And for J L Drake fans you get a great crossover scene. And I mean gritty action packed scene!!! You also get to see Sienna really start to find herself amongst all this craziness going on.
I am so excited for book 4!!! This is a definite recommend for me. If you haven’t read the series yet start at the beginning and get all caught up. Be warned like the last 2 , book 3 also ends on a cliffhanger and not just any cliffhanger but a No your not doing this to me are you kidding me type ending. Which are my favorite haha. As always check for any TW!! This book has spice, has some gritty action, definite violence. It is a DARK MAFIA ROMANCE. Once you get squared away with the TWs. Settle down and enjoy this ride!! Quiet Power is book three of the Quiet Mafia Series. Book two left off on one heck of a cliffy, so naturally this book kicks off with a bang! Stepping back into the world with Elio and Sienna, feels like coming home. Watching Sienna grow into the ruthless Queen was just amazing! Plus I loved the friends she made along the way. We also get some Wyatt time, which I didn't realize I needed. He is such a wonderful bestie to Sienna. Elio is a perfect Mafia King. You don't mess with his family or his girl. You do? You meet the Reaper and that... that was hot. Can I also say how much I loved seeing my favorite friends from Devil's Reach!? Eek! Minnie is my home girl and this was just the best! Reading this book made my heart so happy. And that ending? It blew me away! It's truly going to be bittersweet when we get book four. Hopefully Ms. Drake will give us more from this book world.

As soon as i reached the end of Quiet Secrets i instantly started looking forward to this third installment! I started counting down the days until i could dive into it. I picked it up as soon as i could and got back into the Quiet Mafia world. I so enjoyed it!
Elio and Sienna’s journey continues! This installment pulled me in from the get go. I was so glad to be back in this world with these two. After the second book, I wasn't sure what all was going to happen next in their story. I really enjoyed how this story continues to keep me on my toes.
I loved how i felt so much throughout reading with these characters!
With Quiet Power, Ms.Drake has created a great read that'll keep you glued to your kindle! I can't wait for more! I'll be counting down the days until the fourth installment, Quiet Empire!

I just finished this book, and my mind is shocked. How JL Drake manages to top herself with each book amazes me. The surprise pop up of characters, plot twists you couldn’t see coming, this book is packed with more action than your favorite movie! If you’ve read Drakes entire collection of books, you’re going to learn some surprising things about previous characters we love! This was definitely Drakes best work yet, and that’s hard to say as I love every single book she writes. A little thing to watch for, if you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, I hope you catch a certain reference. You’re not going to be able to put the book down, so plan for that! I can’t wait to get the next book, cause as you know, JL Drake loves to make you wonder between books. Happy reading!!!!

WOW!!! You better buckle your seat belts for this one and get ready for one hell of a ride!! Elio and Sienna's story continues right where the last book ended and more secrets are revealed with every page turned. Gosh...nothing could have prepared me for this book and all the twist and turns. My mind is blown and head is still spinning. J.L. Drake ALWAYS draws me into her stories, but she has out did herself with this one. The cliffhanger queen has me begging for more as always. So much so that I see myself re-reading this one while I wait until August. Honestly, I can't get enough of this couple and their story. This Quiet Mafia series is a Must Read!!
