Book feels incomplete

There are so many mistakes, and story is incomplete, I mean it was not mentioned why Bennet staying in mountain and his parents story which he didn’t liked to talk, also who gave number to willow uncle, if they found address from Emma, who breaking there house before, what happened to willow friend, and its like it was published before it was completed. I feel like waste of money as it is not on KU, I loved other guys stories but this definitely no. It has so much potential but Kaci rose and editor both didn’t even check before publishing

While these are very cut and paste easy read stories there were several things that greatly annoyed me in this one.
Firstly Emilie is starting to be more than a busybody and her attitude towards Willow was so condescending: telling her that she had to meet with the girls and explain herself and her past - it was none of her business how Bennett and she met.
Secondly the whole "protect my woman", guys on a hunting trip while they have girl time and the girls constantly needing to be saved is getting old. I can handle Alpha male but this was pushing into chauvinistic territory.
And thirdly....

These women spend so much time with wet underwear I'm surprised that they don't constantly have yeast infections.

So each book has been an increase on the drama! So much more than a mail order bride story, and hoping that there will be a story regarding side character Ashley because wow that was something else! Great!

I'm not understanding all the 5 star reviews. This is a pretty pathetic, template driven effort that badly needed an editor.

Mountain men with fantasy characteristics? I get that. Drama driven ladies with secrets? Sure. Overprotective alphas? Yup. Problems? This story is way too repetitive and nearly identical to several of the others in this series. Also, the rapey, high placed politician uncle deal is waaay over the top. Also, one of the stupidest mistakes in this story--Willow tells her story to the clueless sheriff and his officers, yet when the rapey uncle shows and accuses Bennett of illegally holding Willow, the sheriff once again forces both to come downtown and be questioned. Wha??? This is a super lazy mistake that ANY editor should have called out asap. Or, it may have been a way to pad the story. Either way, just a major annoyance and yet another way the local law enforcement are portrayed as power happy yokes who can't find their way out of a paper sack. I hate that trope.

There's virtually no connection between the leads. The sex is so-so. And the Scooby Gang seems more than a little up in the newest couples business, especially the ladies who shame Willow about keeping the mail order bride stuff secret. Frankly, not their business, and their moral outrage is hypocritical as hell, considering most of them were also in need of financial rescue. Not very girl friendly here.

Lastly, as usual, there's a jealous girl villain. That's a really lazy and misogynistic trope that should die. There are lots of ways to tell a story and build tension than to place two women into a smackdown type sitch.

This isn't a good book.

TMTTM is the fourth installment of Kaci Rose’s Mountain Men series. The twist with this one, the heroine is a modern-day, mail-order bride.

Willow has nothing left after her father loses his battle with cancer. No money. No job. No family she can trust. When she’s so far down on her luck, she decides to leave her home and head to the Mountains where she will marry a stranger she’s only communicated with online. But she’s also carrying a big secret with her.
Bennett is looking for a mate now that the rest of his mountain friends are all loved up. He knows he’s found it in Willow, but he is also knows she keeping something from him.
As they actively work on getting to know one another, Bennett introduces her to mountain life. Their attraction to one another is instant and sweet. Bennett is a great hero who is a gentle giant and is very protective of his woman. I love that he prioritizes Willow’s comfort and feelings. She is a fighter but she’s also looking to be taken care of and cherished.
The suspense behind Willow’s secret keeps the story moving and there’s even a big action scene.
I enjoyed the sweet surprise at the end and this couple gets their HEA.
Take Me To The Mountain is probably the best of the series. It’s a quick and charming read.

Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Willow is out of options in Chicago so she signs up to be a modern mail-order bride. When she arrives on Bennett’s doorstep she doesn’t know what to expect, but the gentle giant she finds is a wonderful surprise. But what will happen if he finds out she is on the run.

Bennett and Willow’s had a sweet relationship. Bennett was a giant teddy bear who just wanted to make Willow happy and protect her. I loved seeing him take care of her and protect her when her past comes calling. Willow just wants to restart her life and she embraces living in the mountains. I really enjoyed their relationship and how it progressed over the weeks.

Overall, this was another enjoyable instant love romance but with a mail-order bride scenery for this one. I look forward to learning more about the new mountain man Storm.

Take Me to the Mountain by Kaci Rose is a modern mail order bride romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Vincent Skye and Isabelle Turner. This is the fifth book in the Mountain Men of Whiskey River series.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Bennett and Willow. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Take Me to the Cliff to be released on audio so I can get Jack and Sage's story.

Vincent and Isabelle did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like mail order bride romances, mountain man romances, or contemporary romance.

I do have some points to make on the whole series’s. These books are quick fun reads but there are things about them that have problems like in the third book has major editing issues for a few chapters and there was a plot point that was brought up in the third books that I would have expected to see throughout the others bc the FMC from the first book usually had a chapter in the other ones. I’d honestly read a lot of the 2 star review on the other books bc they sum everything up. This book also had major plot points that were skipped over. I’m honestly extremely disappointed in how this series turned out to be. I really like the first book, for what it was an insta love quick read but the series had just gone so down hill that I really can’t force my self to read anything else last the 6th book. Since I’m writing this after reading that.

Quickie Review: I was so happy to finally get Bennett’s story. I have been itching for him to finally get him a woman after all this time. And it was perfection. I couldn’t have asked for a better woman than Willow. She was sweet as can be. My only fault in this book was with Emelie. I have always loved her character up until this book. While I still love her, she definitely overstepped her friendship boundaries with Bennett. It was like she felt she was entitled to information about Willow that she had no business knowing. So yeah, she definitely irked me in this one. This series is doing fine, we can stop with Emelie being the main character in every one’s life. 5 Stars.

Willow needs to get out of Chicago quickly after her dad dies and she signs up for a mail order bride website and meets Bennett. He’s the perfect gentleman and they begin their lives on the mountain. Bennett knows she is hiding something from him but he is patient and doesn’t push her. Will she come to him with the secret in time?

I have to say I did like this book much better than book 3. I connected with the main characters Bennett and Willow much better and felt their story was really fluid. While there were quite a few editing/grammar mistakes it wasn’t enough to deter me and I wanted to finish the book! I truly do love these mountain men and I think what the author created is special. And she’s right, these are the kind of men any woman would be lucky enough to call their own. I’m excited for book 5!

Kaci Rose is back with the next book in the Mountain Man of Whiskey River series and y'all this mountain man is here to make you swoon and feel.. protected. Kaci Rose was new to me when I happened to upon this series and it seems to be one of those never looking back things now.

Take Me to the Mountain gives us Bennet and Willow's story and it was so so good. Loaded up with heart, heat and allll THE moments. Y'all, while these two were a touch unconventional from the start.. they packed a serious punch to the heart.. alllllll those feels! and their chemistry? Undeniable and unforgettable in every single moment they shared.

I've missed one book in this series... the third, last one and I plan to rectify that asap through Kindle Unlimited.

I recommend this book and author y'all if you like an easier romance with the most perfect happy endings.

Bennett hasn’t had the same luck as his friends when it comes to finding the woman he wants to spend his life with. When he sees Willow on a website for mail order brides he knows that she is the one and doesn’t hesitate to bring her to his home.

Willow is going through a difficult time in her life, and she now finds herself in danger. Bennett makes her feel safe and cherished and she begins to have hope for the future, but her past is about to catch up with her.

Everything Willow has been through has made her stronger and more resilient while Bennett is determined to show her she can trust him with her heart and her life. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as it brought out the protective side of Bennett and the strength of Willow 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

I enjoyed Willow and Bennett's story. Although I think it's very similar to the previous book, kind of. Idk, the conflict felt kind of similar to me. And I don't really like that Emelie involved herself in Wilow and Bennett's business. Like it's not her place. I get that she wants to protect Bennett from getting hurt. But still, that was weird. I really liked Willow and Bennett though, from the start of their relationship until the last page of the book.

A modern mail order bride and the perfect man!
5 stars overall, 5 stars story, 5 stars narration

I am a big fan of this Whiskey River series, and I couldn’t wait to read about Bennett’s mail order bride romance that was mentioned at the end of book 3. I absolutely loved this book. This series is getting better and better! Despite their unconventional way of meeting, Willow and Bennett immediately felt a connection with each other. I love the warmth and respect in Kaci Rose’s characters. I love how the handsome men are protective without being overprotective. Bennett is like the perfect man: considerate, supportive, handsome, respectful, possessing a beautiful house, and cherishing his woman. Willow is very relatable as a normal woman who has gone through a lot. It was also great hearing from all the couples in the series and reveling in the wonderful sense of community that they fostered. I was so pleased by this story that I will definitely re-listen. The 3.5-hour length was perfect; it felt like a complete, satisfying romance.

The narration by Vincent Skye and Isabelle Turner was perfect! They each embodied all the characters and matched each other’s character voices extraordinarily well. Both narrators wonderfully conveyed the warmth between Willow and Bennett and are both great action scenes and bedroom scenes. Isabelle Turner has a very pleasing and musical voice. Vincent Skye is wonderful as Bennett with his deep, masculine, sexy voice. This series has had a bounty of excellent narrators, which is a real gem to find in a romance series.

TAKE ME TO THE MOUNTAIN: A Modern Mail Order Bride Romance, Mt. Men of Whiskey River Book 5. A Novella by Kaci Rose. I didn't read them in any order, and they are different lengths. But the first book, Take Me to the River, is still my favorite. I did enjoy the next 4 books too.

Willow was left all alone in this world now that her father had passed away. He'd died from cancer. It wasn't until his funeral that an aunt & uncle showed up. What could these complete strangers want from her. It was not long until she'd found out what the uncle wanted from her. She'd reported what happened, but her uncle was a very influential man, and she wasn't believed. So, she had to leave and find a safe place to hide. She applied to be a mail order bride for a mountain man. Right away Willow was on her way to meet her future husband whose name was Bennett. He'd known as soon as he saw her picture that she was the one. She'd known from their emails that he would be very protective. His home on the mountain was absolutely stunning, and he was a gentle giant of a man who swore he would protect her. She had never had anyone take such good care of her. He was fine with her clinging to his side, and she was scared when he was out of her sight. They were anxious to be married. All was going well, but of course there has to be some trouble.

“Take Me to the Mountain” is another great installment to the series and I enjoyed Bennett and Willow’s story.

Bennett is one of the men on the mountain that is still single. Encouraged by Emelie to try online dating, Bennett looks at a few sites and ends up on a modern mail order bride site. He connects with Willow and the two agree to meet and give their relationship a trail. Willow is sweet and now by herself since her father passed away from cancer. Despite how they met, there is a clear chemistry and connection between the two.

I love the quiet and protective men of Whiskey River and Bennett is one of those for sure. His instant protectiveness over Willow was one of my favorite things about him. Willow went through some tough things and he was willing to do whatever he needed to do to make her comfortable. I loved Willow’s sweetness and how she went to the mountain with an open mind. She fit in flawlessly with the other woman and was strong despite her hard past. I wish the story was a little longer and had more suspense on why Willow had ran away and everything leading up to the “moment”. But their story was sweet and had steam in the right places. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Book 4 (or 5) in Rose's Mountain Men of Whiskey River series. While this book can be read / listened as a standalone there are repeat characters that interconnect. I love our main characters in this book Bennett has gone to live on the mountain and understands that with that choice the likelihood of a woman to share that life with may be non-existent...but as his friends and neighbors all start to find their women he decides to at least search - and so he finds Willow on an online dating site - only it's a mail order site...I mean, yeah is that even a thing anymore?!? Willow is meek but strong and Bennett can tell she's hiding something, but really his draw to her is stronger than any misgivings he may have. Finally, finally she comes clean about her secret and Bennett and the rest of the mountain men (and women) rally as any good group of friends would do. A well written romance that has a great balance of sweet and steam as well as danger and alpha protectiveness. Beautifully narrated and told from a multi-point of view, this insta love romance while short is still sure to please!

He finds himself on a mail order bride website and there he finds himself drawn to a picture of willow.

Willow is on the run. She is trying to escape after he father past away she finds herself needing to leave Chicago when she finds herself on the mail order bride website and talking, connecting with Bennett. Then moving to the Mountain Town of Whiskey River.

Willow finds herself feeling safe in the arms of Bennett and his friends but the past has a way of catch up with you.

I have enjoyed reading about these Mountain Men and I freaking love them. All gentle but protective and possessive and would go to the ends of the earth for their woman and each other and their friends.
I have loved each book and felt the connection in every story.
Just great. Love it. I really would love more and the suggestion of it makes me excited.

I was so happy to get to Bennett’s story in this mountain men series. I knew from the last book that it was going to be a mail order situation, but Willow turned out absolutely perfect for him. Love came quickly between Willow and Bennett, although Willow had a terrible secret That she was afraid to tell Bennett. Willow fell in love and now they were married, but if she told him would it and everything because it would bring trouble to their door. Secret is out and trouble has come. What I love most about this series is everybody comes to the rescue of whoever is in need on the mountain. Even in the small town the towns people rally around to help those up on the mountain. I love this series because all the couples you are introduced to throughout the series are in every book so far, so it just makes the series that much better to know how close they are as friends and family. I was sad to think that now all the men on the mountain had found their other halves that the series would end, but the author was smart, and incomes another man on the mountain. I cannot wait to read his story.

I LOVE THIS SERIES! Hot, amazing, talented, caring men that know how to provide for their women, oh my gosh, SIGN ME UP. Not going to lie, I totally get why Willow would be a mail order bride, I would too if I could get a guy like Bennett... or Axel, or Phoenix, or Cash... my goodness! These guys are a different kind of breed and I LOVED reading this series and I was happy to find out it might not be quite over yet....

If you are looking for a book that has a man that is utterly devoted to his woman, who is strong in her own right and put through her own hardships, and their chemistry burns brighter than fireflies at night, this is definitely the book, and series, for you! I am a goner, I would be SO EXCITED if this author just keeps writing more and more of these kinds of mountain men because I would read EVERY SINGLE BOOK. This is definitely 5 outta 5 stars from me.

Finally, something a bit different in this series. After watching his friends find their wives, Bennett is wanting the same thing, and Emelie sticks her nose in and gives him the idea of online dating. He found that it wasn't the thing for him, and instead found a mail-order bride. The moment that Bennett saw Williow's picture he knew she was meant for him.

Willow's father died leaving her with nothing but his medical debt, and after selling the house to pay the debt off, it left her with nowhere to go. Things are a bit deeper than that, but I won't spoil anything. Bennett gets Willow to come to Whiskey River with the agreement that they will give it two weeks and after that they either marry or go separate ways. Willow knows what she wants, but she is hiding something from Bennett, something that she thinks will change his mind. Will Willow's secret change everything between them?

I loved that we got something different for this series. Willow and Bennett gave us a really good story, some decent drama and ok naughty bits. I give them 4 stars.

This is the fourth incredible book in this amazing series around mountain men. This story follows the characters, Bennett and Willow, these two characters have an instant connection and intense chemistry between them from the start. This is a mail-order bride and mountain man romance read. This book is so romantic, sweet, and loving from start to finish. This book has a bit of angst around Willow's past story but this all adds to the overall storyline. This is an amazon addition to this series, which just keeps getting better and better the more you read. I can't wait to see where this series goes in the future.

Audiobook Review:

I enjoyed this newest addition to the Mountain Men of Whiskey River series. Bennett has been one of the members of the crew since the beginning and I was happy for him to get his own story. I liked that not only was it different from the way any of the previous couples met their match, but in a way it also kind of made sense for him and his way of life.
I found myself really liking Willow. While I may have felt for what she went through once everything was finally revealed, I loved that at the same time she was still a strong, independent woman who made her choice knowingly and other than running when she felt like she was out of options, she didn’t let what happened to her change her or force her to put up with things she shouldn’t. She spoke up for herself when needed and embraced her new life.
The narrators, Vincent Skye and Isabelle Turner, did a great job with their performances on this once. I found them a pleasure to listen to and wouldn’t hesitate to check out another story by them.

This is an adorable modern spin on a mail order bride/marriage of convenience romance. With an extra helping of possessive mountain man for good measure. This was a pretty quick read (a bit more substantial than a novella but I read it in one sitting).

Willow is on the run after her Dad's death and a run in with some unsavoury relatives. She wants security and a new life. Moving to Whiskey River to marry Bennett seems like an ideal answer to her problems. Bennett is envious of the relationships his fellow mountain men friends have found and wants to find his own leading lady. He instantly connects with Willow and their relationship is adorable as it progresses. There is a real sense of their growing fondness for one another and I adored his protectiveness of her.

This is a really fun mountain man romance born from a mail order bride scenario. These two are a great match and I loved their interactions with the couples from the earlier books in the series.

Bennett is the one I looked forward to the most because, he is has been through alot. He is the last of the men to find love and he sees how his friends /brother found love. And he wants to know what that love feels like since his friends are endlessly happy

Willow is ready for a fresh new start. After losing her dad to cancer and staying at her friend's Aspen. I really want to know her story, especially selling her v-card at auction Club Red. Kaci was a tease with that one!

Willow & Bennett first meeting is full of adorable nerves and Bennett just wants her to feel safe at her new home. Willow relaxs more and more the more she sees Bennett's world in the Mountains. This is adorable love at first sight HOWEVER Willow's past is coming for her...

Love this series

I have loved Bennett in everyone of the other books and knew his story would be different.
Bennett is the other quiet guy of the mountain family but I knew he had a big heart even if it never was really shown.
Willow is a scared young woman who is still grieving her father's death and the fear of what she's running from.
Bennett and Willow are perfect for each other from the start.
I love how mountain family stick together and help each other when needed including Jack. I still hope he has his own story.
I felt like this one was missing so much that could of made it more enjoyable. The Emma story could of been so much more or why Emma really acted that way and what happened to Willows best friend? Im assuming thats how the uncle got the number.
Also there were a lot of mistakes.
I do love all of Mrs. Rose books I've read.
I can't wait for Storms book and am so happy he moved to the mountains.
