One king down, three to go. Now that rebuilding efforts are officially underway and Bella has bonded with her first King, she must travel to the Court of Winter to find the second Stone of Power.
The adventure doesn't go as planned when an unexpected person stands in their way. Now Bella faces trials that could break her in more ways than one.
But those same trials help Bella learn just how powerful she truly is, and that strength may just be the thing that saves Winter from the hands of evil.
Will Bella be able to strengthen her magic and purify the Court of Winter? Or will one person ruin Faerie for good?
Jarica is an American author. She prefers writing paranormal and fantasy books. When she isn't writing she is playing her xbox with her husband and fellow nerd. She has two crazy boys who make writing a challenge, but one she gladly accepts.
This book was...adequate. Nothing that happened felt very exciting or interesting. And that fact is a disappointing one, because Bella actually found and fought the Winter King.
I am not sure what happened to the side characters, but they are all written like they are the same person. It honestly feels like only Bella and Jacob have a personality.. I would say Bowden, but he's a less interesting version of Jacob.
SPOILER*** But honestly, even that lacked pizzazz. She finds him (with Jacob and Gerwyn) and they battle and lose. The next 5 or 6 pages is of her saying she is in a dungeon and then counts days.. upwards of 60. She busts out of her cell using magic, draining her. The king hears the ruckus, drags her to the throne room, beats the ever loving *insert word here* out of her. She takes like a 2 second breather, magic flares, she slams him into the wall TWICE with magic and he's dead... DEAD!! She finds her "dead" parents alive in the Winter realm.. father frozen, mother weakened in the dungeon. She has two conversations then traipses away on her next adventure.
The epilogue was sweet, and I will read the next book because I am a glutton for punishment and honestly hate leaving things unfinished.
I never read these the first edition of this series. This series was supposedly added to and re written. I was very into the story and number 2 was already out so... that's the reason the first book did not get a full review. Take note that the beginning of the story shows that this story begins on a future time on Earth. I think it's somewhere around 2100 and something. Faeries left their world that was devastated by war. Oh and time runs faster here than there. Yes our heroine doesn't know she's fae. Oh and a college student. But believe me even with other series doing the same trope you are still going to love this cast of characters and the developments. So far no bad cliffhangers. Seem more like happy for now or a rest between one quest and another. Number three book is just about to be released so time to rest and regroup for me.
I really am not sure what to rate this. The book was a bit more entertaining than book one, probably because we were solely in the faerie world. The writing, characterization, and very obvious and convenient plot should probably make this a 2 star book. It is very self published/not have developed my craft kind of book. Having read more recent books by this author i am having a hard time going back in writing level. And yet as with book 1, I was strangely entertained which i'm usually not in books I rate 2 stars. So I guess this is another 3 star book. I am going to try the next book but I have low hopes it will be the book to break this author's 3rd book in a nonomegaverse series causing me to dnf the series curse.
Bella and her men continue on their journey trying to heal the winter lands, unaware of the perils that await them there. Her knights and bonded grow closer as the challenges they face help them learn how to work and use their magic together. There are unexpected surprises that are sure to delight, as well as moments that offer pure joy to combat the moments of hardship they face. Together this group can face anything, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Harsh at times with a slice of cherry pie happiness….
Wow! I enjoyed this book better than the first. There was some major growing with the fmc. She was tested against harsh situations but she always came out stronger. Her previous super naïveté was diminished enough that she was like a completely different person in this book. There was always something happening in each chapter and there was plenty of good to balance out all the crap. I can’t wait to read what’s next!
Veiled Fae really pushes Bella and her guys to work together and learn about their magic. There is action and steam. Even a few unexpected twists! I'm really enjoying watching these characters grow together as they fight against the villains of the Winter Lands. I'm excited to see what's next!
Book 2 was so good! Winter was an unexpected journey and was very different from Spring! Well written and more character growth! Loving Bella and her Knights and her people!
I am loving this series! I loved seeing Bella and her guys relationships grow and develop. I love the storyline and all of the twisty turns! I am very excited to see where the next book takes these amazing characters.
This second book…phew. The crazy obstacles Bella had to face was ridiculous but the fact that she was able t find her inner strength to get through it was amazing.
The people she saved…what a twist and that ending, I was so happy for her and Jacob. I can’t wait to read the next book!
I was excited to see Bella’s design skills to come out more. I noticed a lot of what is built comes from Jacob. I am also excited to see the kingdoms be remade. On a side note am I the only one who thinks it’s weird when a MC has a screaming orgasim not far from her parents?

It’s time for the winter fae! Who’s ready? Not these characters, that’s for sure. Things don’t go as planned for them, but it’s such a good story. I didn’t want to stop once I’d started. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next for these characters.
Bella and her men journey is underway. This book had so many twist and turns and I was left speechless at the end of this book. I can't wait for book three.
This is just a sweet series. Our heroine is sweet, but a badass all in one little package. She’s always thinking of others first. It’s why she’s a great queen.
