Despite the fact that she is a romance writer, Samantha Christy's favorite television show of all time is The Walking Dead.

And contrary to the fact that her heroines drink things like wine and Cosmos, she prefers Bud Light.

She also loves fan mail and answers all of it.

She went to college and all that, getting a degree in something she never uses. She's also got a gaggle of kids (4) and a pretty decent husband.

Samantha Christy’s “Texas Roses” is a beautifully written story with incredibly likeable characters, solid plot development, and serious steam. Quinn & Amber recognize in each other what they’ve been missing and never knew they truly wanted- in their own lives or from anyone else. Christy interweaves themes of redemption and found family together with a familiar trope that I won’t even hint at because it’s serious spoiler material. And it’s a pivotal and unexpected event that brings both Quinn & Amber’s histories front and center in the development of their relationship. Within that twist they find that found family becomes true family. What I truly appreciated about this story is that the development of Quinn & Amber’s relationship felt natural, I never felt like the author was forcing the situations or events, or changing the characters from who they really were. There is a lot of heat between these two, as well as some well-placed angst, but ultimately, their HEA is exactly what they each needed. While “Texas Roses” can be read as a standalone, it definitely made me want to go back and read the other interconnected books.

Feeling lost and alone in a crowded room is the only way to describe Amber. Her life has been one tragedy followed by more heartache. So when she meets up with Quinn, she wants to keep him at a distance and make sur her heart does not get involved. But Quinn has his own family drama and needs his own escape from reality. Can the two heal what is broken inside each other? Or is this just another messy encounter that will leave them both feeling more despair? Samantha Christy could not have ended this book any better. We all fell in love with the Mitchel sisters and to now be part of the next generation just puts a smile on our faces and joy in our hearts. This entire series is a must read!!

Heartbreakingly beautiful! Book 3 of the Devils Horn Ranch series. That was an absolutely Perfect ending to a series which links so we into Black Roses. Maddox book I loved as it was so nostalgic for me, Aaron’s book was my favourite and wasn’t sure how Samantha could top it. But this is not only the best of the series, but I think for me, my favourite off them ALL!. The Mitchell sisters is my go to reread and audio, so this series has meant that much more. Amber & Quinn’s story has made me laugh, cry several times and when you throw in all the hotness…... This one is deep and reopens wounds that haven’t quite healed. “I Once was lost but now I’m found” is quite apt for this one. This is definitely a journey of discovery, of finding not only oneself but of finding your place, your family. Quinn and Amber are both very lost, until they’re not and that makes for a fantastic read. Samantha smashed it with this one. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️ Bring on Calloway Creek, I can see a fabulous series ahead.

To lose, be lost, or unknown.

It is a feeling many of us share at one time, but Amber Black has felt this her whole life. In more ways than one with no end in sight. She has accepted her fate and moves through life with no attachments.

Quinn Thompson is well known for all the wrong reasons because of his ruthless family. Especially his mother Karen. The epitome of a “Karen” before it was a thing! He would love to lose his family, be lost in his own world free to do what he wants with his life, to be unknown from his name sake.

When these two souls crash together it is instant attraction and holy hotness the fun they have. But this wouldn’t be a Samantha Christy book without REAL life problems, PAINFUL memories and decisions, and the question… can LOVE be enough???

Bravo Samantha for another amazing, twist and turns, one more chapter read! And that epilogue!!!

Wow!!!! What an amazing book!!! I think this has to be my favourite book so far of Samantha’s.

Texas Roses is book 3 in the Devils Horn Ranch series, and we finally get Quinn’s story! We first meet Amber in the epilogue of Black Roses, as the daughter Piper gave up for adoption. Quinn and Amber are kindred spirits, both of them having dealt with enough pain and disappointment throughout their lives to know they never want to be tied down in a relationship…or do they?

My heart just aches for these two, for the bad hands they had been dealt, for the way that shaped who they were as people, they way they came across as strong, independent and uncaring, yet skirting just below the surface of that facade was their total vulnerability, their pain and destruction.

The chemistry between these to is palpable, literally off the FREAKIN charts!!! There are no boundaries between them when it comes to that, and that makes for a sizzling read! Their justification for their temporary relationship, what with having an expiration and all leaves nothing to the imagination as they explore each other so freely, but whether they like it or not, what happens between them is so much deeper, it’s raw and emotional, and just EVERYTHING!

Even when something life changing is dropped on them, it actually makes them stronger, affirms that what they have is something worth fighting for. And with danger lurking around the corner, fighting is exactly what they need to do!

I just can’t explain thoroughly enough just how much love I have for this story! I want to say soooo much but can’t, you will soon see for yourself! Having lost my reading mojo really bad last year, I read this book IN ONE DAY!!!! I literally could not put it down!

A hundred stars for this book, but for the purpose of Amazon and goodreads, it’s absolutely a 5 star read!

This story is hands down my favorite of the series, which isn’t a surprise because Piper’s was also my favorite. I wasn’t this story to be so emotional, but it was in the best way possible.

Quinn’s family is wealthy, but it’s dirty money. He doesn’t want to be associated with them and has worked hard to continue to distance himself as much as possible. Amber has never gotten close to anyone, she keeps everyone in her life at a distance and for good reason. She is lost, she is just living her life. Amber and Quinn found each other when they both needed it most and when life threw some curveballs their way they had each other to lean on and support one another.

I loved the chemistry between Quinn and Amber. What may have started out as something physical, quickly turned into more. The pain and heartache are real in this story and you can feel every ounce of emotion coming off the pages. My heart was breaking for them, especially for Amber and it was so easy to feel her pain through everything.

I HIGHLY suggest reading Black Roses first to get full picture of Amber’s story, but even if you haven’t read it you can still easily enjoy this story.

If you’re looking for an emotional, small town, forced proximity, little bit of suspense, strangers to lovers romance this is one to read!

Samantha is the Queen of emotional, heartbreaking stories packed with tons of steam and surprises. I don’t want to spoil anything so I told her my review was just going to say “Read this book with a box of tissues and don’t read any reviews that might spoil something”

This is the third book in the Devil's Horn Ranch series and ties into a previous story, Black Roses. I have enjoyed all the books of the series and being back with this family, but Samantha took the saying “save the best for last” and really delivered! This story was so emotional with off the charts steam.

Amber and Quinn are both lost souls who prefer meaningless flings as opposed to relationships. When they see each other at a wedding, things escalate quickly to some smokin hotness on the ATV and on the counter! Amber and Quinn are both guarded due to wounds they have and it makes for a really interesting journey to them finding themselves but also love in each other and a family. Quinn’s family has caused nothing but trouble and they hate him almost as much as he hates them. You should remember from the previous books about trouble the Thompson family has caused and that gets explored more. Amber has abandonment issues. Her mother died when she was young, her father is now really sick and her biological mother Piper gave her up for adoption. I loved all of Piper and Amber’s scenes. They were so emotionally charged and it was such a progression throughout the book to get where they end up (which was a PERFECT ending).

Together, Amber and Quinn were perfection. All of their scenes were captivating and their sex scenes were dirty but oh so yummy! It has been awhile since a book made me laugh and cry so much. I mean really truly cry! And all the surprises just blew me away. Thank you Samantha for writing this genius story that was absolutely perfect.

If I had to choose one word to describe this book it would be “Phenomenal”

Quinn will always be a Thompson but by blood only. He will never be a part of that family. People judge him because of his last name but he knows who he is. He won’t settle down nor have children because he won’t ever subject anyone else to the fact that all Thompson’s are very much despised.

Amber all but hides herself from the world. She can’t get to close to anyone. Everyone leaves eventually so what’s the point? Seeing the people around her and how they are with one another just reminds her of what she doesn’t have. She suffered a loss and about to lose another one. Will she ever find herself? Will she ever know who she truly is? She likes to have fun… to live in the moment and then forget it all again. Will she ever feel like she is a part of something?

There is SO much story to read and this book is a MUST read!!!

I absolutely love Samantha’s style of writing. She not only writes with her heart on her sleeve but she will make you feel so much. Every word, every action, and every energy will go straight to your heart.

Amber’s heartbreak becomes your heartbreak… Her fear becomes your fear… and her tears will fall from your eyes… Amber is all full of sass that will have you laughing uncontrollably. Each character have their own POV and you will experience every emotion from tears to heartbreak to love and so much more. Samantha you crack me up with all these sassy comments… Amber: “Would you please rip off my panties and make me see Jesus”… had be choking from laughter…

Thank you so much Samantha for writing such an amazing story. This one will not soon be forgotten.

I cannot wait for Tag’s story…

Loved it!

This book is outside my normal genre, but I adored it.

It has been a damn long time since I've read a smutty romance novel that made my cry. Jeezuz.
Listen. I am not one for super emotional romance novels because they tend to be stupid. I like dark, kink, and raunchy. I am not a fan of romance novels that involve babies or pregnancies at all... in fact I tend to despise them.
but I am sitting in my office right now with tears in my eyes. guys. this book made me jill off more times than I'd like to admit, AND it made me cry.
kink, food play, dominating woman, two total whores who hate relationships and end up falling for each other, butt stuff, and then BAM someone drops off a baby one day and is like "yo, this is yours." abandonment, adoption, lost mothers, dead dads, drug deals... wow. describing it right now makes it sound ridiculous but seriously. it was amazing.
also Imma need more cowboy recs.
anyway here's the book. bye. Imma go cry in the office bathroom now.

In this 5 star novel, our heroine Amber is both so strong and incredibly fragile. I loved the way her and Quinn’s relationship transforms, grows, and enriches. Samantha Christy books should come with free tissues, just saying! Too many things I want to say would be spoilers, so I’ll just implore you to read this one if you are a daughter, a mother, a woman.

Texas Roses hit close to home for me. Being adopted myself I could relate to Amber on so many levels. Ms. Christy does a fabulous job reaching deep inside her characters with every emotion. Quinn and Amber have so much they are dealing with and readers feel every moment of it.

I knew Quinn was unique when he took a stand against his family in earlier books. As strong as his was, it still affected him which makes him the perfect fit for Amber. She needed someone who felt what she felt but also willing to push her when needed. The twist the book has will touch your heart and bring on the tears. But it was needed for Amber to finally let her walls down.

The story isn’t just Quinn and Amber’s journey, it’s Amber and Pipers as well. I love the Mitchell family and how they don’t require blood to be family. And once you are family, they protect their own.

If you are a Mitchell sister fan, this series is a must. Their legacy continues!

Hard to read

I had to stop reading this in the end… I couldn’t get past the absolutely outdated and ridiculous way they were parenting. That may seem petty, it’s a book and it’s fiction- but a doctor telling you do to cry it out with a 6 week old, saying they should be sleeping through, putting her in her own room. Totally outdated and wrong advice and I cannot physically read anymore. I just hope that no young parent or people without kids reads this and thinks that what should be happening. Seriously needs to be looked at again. I couldn’t read past it- and won’t be reading from this author again!

I cried big, ugly tears… amazing story

This is book 3 and the final part of the Devil’s Horn Ranch series. If you haven’t read Texas Orchids and Texas Lilies… you need to before you read this because you need the bigger picture to truly have all the feels that this amazing story brings. It’s an incredible series in its own right but I also recommend reading all of the previous Samantha Christy series, because they are all amazing and they all interlink with each other.

That being said… you could read this as a standalone title, but you won’t get nearly as much enjoyment as if you take the plunge and read them all.

So, this book follows Quinn Thompson… best friend of Aaron (book 2). He’s a player…he’s sexy, suave and could charm the birds out of the trees. He’s also the son of a notorious gold digger and the nephew and grandson of one of the most revered families in their town. That’s a legacy he’s far from proud of and has done everything he can to throw off the family association - including moving onto the rival families ranch and working for the owner, Aaron cousin, Maddox.

A certified playboy bachelor, Quinn is a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy. Or f**k ‘em and chuck ‘em as the local women refer to him. But, he’s lost his wingman.

Capitalising on his best man status as he watches his best mate get hitched, he meets Amber Black - A cousin of Aaron’s - but there’s something different about her. Unlike the rest of the family, she seems distant and uncomfortable… like she doesn’t fit in.

They immediately hit it off and when Amber admits to having the same one-and-done philosophy towards hooking up, Quinn can’t help but feel he’s onto one heck of a night.

Of course, we know then and there that one night isn’t all this meeting is going to lead to. After a freakishly terrifying turn of events, Amber ends up having to stay at the ranch a lot longer than anticipated… much to Quinn surprising relief.

The two of them start to get closer and end up being neighbours, but no sooner do they start their agreed affair than other events unfold that see these two being pushed together… none more testing than Quinn being landed with a newborn baby girl that the mother claims to be his daughter.

Neither Amber not Quinn have the first clue how to raise a child… a child that might not even be Quinn’s but with Amber’s own experience of being adopted and left by her birth mother, she can’t bare the thought of passing the child into the social care system. With the help of the ranch family, they set about raising the gorgeous baby Josie.

For two people who never thought they’d want to be parents, they start to fall in love with the little one… and with each other but neither can face such an uncertain future knowing that if she isn’t Quinn’s daughter, they might lose her.

I have to say that this book made me cry… properly sob. Everything they go through… everything they learn about each other through raising this beautiful little baby girl… when it all looks like it’s going to fall apart, my heart broke for them.

I’m happy to say that there is a happy ending. Maybe not the one you expect, but it does happen and it was the best feeling when everything works out.

I’ve loved the series… every book has been such an adventure filled with so much love and incredibly sexy cowboys. Well done, Samantha Christy… you sure do know how to write a good romance.

Brilliant ending to a long wait

Now I know what followers of Samantha Christy might think… we've not really had that long a wait for Texas Roses. However, what I really mean is since this is the book based on Amber (Piper's long lost daughter from the end if Black Roses) it feels like we've been waiting for this for a real long time. Was I disappointed? Absolutely not. Did I squeal, verbally shout my excitement and do a wee dance in excitement? Hell yeah I did.

Don't get me wrong the "basis" of the storyline is pretty obvious as you kind of know how it's going to end one way or another. But what is unexpected is the twists and turns along the way, the surprise reveals and just when you think you know what’s going to happen… bam! Another twist and surprise.

When we are first introduced to Amber we connect with her immediately and know she is the one for Quinn who we have already gotten an insight into from Texas Lilies. From the get go they are legit kindred spirits. They both have inner battles and issues they have never dealt with. But of course without even realising it they end up falling for each other despite all their beliefs that they don't want to be in a relationship ever. And although they do get through a bit of a surprise they somehow take it in their stride with it ending up being the best thing that happened to both of them.

"If you mean how you like to fuck 'em and chuck 'em, then yes"

For those who have read Black Roses, I felt I really connected with this book on a deeper level than other before. Having already known the background into Ambers existence, it's easy to understand where her personality and issues have come from. So from the beginning you are rooting for her to have her happy ending. And what a happy ending it is! Out of all the Epilogues that Samantha Christy has written I believe this one tops them all (even the Reckless Rockstar trilogy).

And definitely can't forget to mention how hot all the sex scenes were! I mean damn they were hot. They definitely had me wishing they were real for sure.

"Romantic? Sweetheart, I haven't told you where I plan to put the strawberries"

But one of my favourite things about this book was the overarching theme of family. In a lot of Samantha Christy's books the theme of family is prominent, especially in the Mitchell Sisters. However, what I love about this book and the whole trilogy is the importance of family, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are blood relatives. This is clear throughout Texas Orchids and Texas Lilies with the relationships between Maddox and Andie and Aaron and Devyn. Yet, it is also clear with the workers on Devils Horn Ranch and is mentioned on several occasions how the workers are all like family and look out for one another.

"Sometimes chasing happiness means taking risks and going out of your comfort zones"

As with all of Samantha Christy's books, I would highly recommend reading it. But, I do strongly suggest you start from the beginning with the Mitchell Sisters, it just makes them all the more epic than they already are.

Texas Roses is the final book in the Devil's Horn Ranch Series by Samantha Christy. It is the best of the series and possibly her best book yet. I have read all of her books and she just keeps getting better and better. The character development is wonderful but is even better if you have read the previous books in the series. This series is the next generation after the Mitchell Sisters Series. The story is engaging, poignant and you will not want to put it down.

The story follows Quinn and Amber, 2 lost souls, neither fitting in with their family and both believing they would always be alone. Quinn, haunted by his family's past, is best friends with Aaron, the son of Skylar Mitchell. He insists that he will never fall in love or get married. Amber is the daughter of Piper Mitchell. Amber was given up for adoption at birth because Piper was gang raped as a teenager, Amber and Piper met once Amber turned 18 and have had a rocky relationship since. They meet and are immediately attracted to each other at Aaron's wedding on Devil's Horn Ranch.

Both Amber and Quinn only believe in one night stands but since Amber is staying in Texas for a few days, they decide to continue "with an expiration date." One thing leads to another, Amber ends up staying longer than expected, Quinn's life gets turned upside down when a former one night stand shows up and leaves his 6 week old baby.

As with all of Ms. Christy's books you will get lots of twists and turns. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get all the feels. You will fall in love with the characters and may even get mad at them at times but in the end everyone including you will be oh so happy. Ms. Christy is a master at story telling. This is her best book yet and my new favorite. and most likely to be my favorite re-read. You will definitely not be disappointed.

Quinn and Amber

***SPOILER ALERT***

Audiobook review. Dual POV. Book three in the Devil's Horn Ranch trilogy. Older woman/younger man (2 year age difference); surprise baby that doesn't belong to the couple. Both narrators read well but Jason Clarke whistles a lot with "s" words, and Erin Mallon growls a lot. Content warnings: r@pe resulting in a baby; baby abandoned by her mother to H in hopes that he's the father; paternity issue, reveal, and fraud; su¡c¡de; drug deal leading to an arrest; h adoptive father has alzheimer's disease; death of h adoptive father; Josie isn't H biological daughter; and a cringey sex scene with garlic bread.

Opens with Aaron and Devyn's wedding (couple from 'Texas Lilies'). Their son is three months old. Quinn Thompson (26) is promiscuous, a bronc rider, a helicopter pilot, a ranch hand/cowboy, a wealthy heir, and is Aaron's best man. Amber Rose Black (28) the product of her mother's g@ng r@pe, adopted on her birthday, her heart surgeon father is in a memory care facility, promiscuous, employment head hunter is one of Aaron's cousins. The two have instant chemistry and agree to one night. The next day Quinn pilots her helicopter ride, but the helicopter malfunctions leaving Amber afraid to fly with a sprained foot. In the end they're married, Amber adopts Josie, Piper adopts Amber, and Quinn and Amber are married. Amber surprises Quinn with a "Found" tattoo. JP

Oh geez!! So many emotions!

So so many emotions.
Amber lives a lucrative but very jaded life. She’s never felt like she belonged. The product of rape, she never felt like she was truly wanted. But she was adopted by a very loving couple who did, in fact, want her very much. But after years of tragedy & disappointment, she just needs to be loved by someone who gets her & who knows her.
Quinn is the opposite in some ways. He doesn’t feel like he belongs to the world that wants him to be a part of them. They are low-key mafia-ish & thats just not who he is or who he wants to be. He knows he’s a better man than that. The family he has chosen & who he loves dearly, they’re all moving on, getting married, & having kids. So again, he feels like he & his bachelor lifestyle just don’t belong. He needs a sassy woman who understands him to come in out of nowhere & sweep him off his feet.
When these two clash together, it’s an experience neither one will ever forget. Their first encounter is more than they’ve ever experienced before. As they roll with the punches…trust me…some major punches, they realize that together, they can tackle anything. Their chemistry is off the charts & the love that neither knew they had within themselves blooms like the beautiful Rose from which she came.
All of the talk of pictures taken in this book, I just want to sit down with that photo album & stare in awe at the love they possess.

The final chapter of the Devil's Horn Ranch by Samantha Christy was one of the most genuine emotionally charged stories I have read in a while. This has become a trademark of Christy's Books in my opinion and the reason that I keep coming back to her stories over and over.

if you are a fan of Christy's Mitchell Sister series, you will love that Amber, the daughter of Piper , gets her own story as she attends her cousins wedding at DHR. A Strong women who knows exactly what she wants with no strings attached finds her perfect one night stand in the womanizing , never go back for a second time, Quinn. Well , after an undeniably hot night , Amber gets delayed returning home and proceeds to break all the rules that she and Quinn said they never do. When an unexpected surprise turns up , we actual learn that Amber is not that strong but actually can be quite fragile and that Quinn might be in deeper then he thought he ever would be. He then stands to lose everything when evil rears its evil head and the suspense that often finds it way to DHR comes to his doorstep. Christy weaves a story that keeps you wanting more all the way to the end, which might just be one of the most emotional endings to a book I have read in a while.

You wont be disappointed with this choice at all.

🌹Family is who you choose 💗

I've been waiting for Amber's book since we first met her in Piper's story!!! Wow was it worth the wait, and what a perfect pairing with Quinn 😉. Amber is a spitfire who says and does what she wants, but still has a vulnerable side underneath it all. Who better for her than Quinn with all his bluster and bravado, who also has emotional scars within thanks to his criminal family? Thrust into one another's orbit at the ranch by a wedding, circumstances quickly become interesting when this visit may become longer than a mere weekend visit. This book is filled with emotion, sexy time, hot cowboys, all the feels, family issues, and two people desperately fighting their magnetic pull toward one another. Fate may or may not have other plans, and throws in a wrench or two in their way of one and one 😉. Be warned this book, and anything in this series and any of the connected series are HIGHLY addicting. Read one and you'll immediately want to go read them all....at least that's what I unashamedly did. Treat yourself and dive into this wonderful world filled with amazing characters.

We get Amber's story!! Since the epilogue of Black Roses, I've been waiting for this one... and I knew it was going to be a tough one. Just as Piper's story showed that childhood traumas can affect experiences as adults, Amber's story shows us that even if the event happened before we were aware of our world, the impact can be great. With her birth mother giving her away and her adoptive mother dying when she was only an infant, Amber is plagued with abandonment issues that keep her from getting close with anyone. Quinn knows exactly who his mother is and how he came to exist in the world. He knows the obstacles and judgment he will face simply for having the Thompson name. While his relatives try to bring him into their corruption, Quinn fights to show everyone that his home and family are on Devils Horn Ranch. I loved watching the twists and turns of Quinn and Amber's "time-limited" affair, as well as Amber and Piper's building relationship. Of course, with the Thompson's, Samantha provides the drama that has us rooting with Quinn to prove that family is who you choose it to be. Another great one not to be missed!!

Wow. A surprisingly emotional HOT as fire read

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read, but could easily be read as a stand-alone. That being said I will likely go back and read the others in the series as well. I mean, more hot cowboys? Yes, please!

Quinn and Amber are both known to be a “wild child” and struggle with their place in their family for differing reasons. Both were only up for one night stands and Amber gave him a run for the money in the bedroom antics. What was meant to be one hot night together turned into a few, then more. This was an amazingly emotional roller coaster from cover to cover. While Amber appeared to be this secure confident brazen woman, underneath it all she was really quite fragile. Quinn struggles to be something other than the family he was born into. There’s a lot of twists and times, crazy drama (I will say Quinn’s family seemed a little cartoon villain-ish at times), and a load of smoking hot smex. Definitely recommend this cowboy read.

This book has it all. You will be laughing, crying, and hoping everything goes right. I felt a lot of emotions while reading this book. I did not want this story to end. I feel there is so much more in store for Quinn and Amber.

I wasn’t sure how I’d like Quinn from the previous books, but he really did surprise me in a good way. I fell for him hard. He is one of my favorite characters Samantha has written.

Amber is an incredible person who deserves to have some good in her life. She wasn’t dealt the greatest hand, but man did she overcome it!! I wish we could watch her grow into the woman she was becoming at the end of this book. She is definitely someone I want in my corner.

I absolutely loved this story and wish it didn’t have to end. This is my favorite in the series and so worth the wait!!! If you ever decided you need a couple to write about for a future novella please give us more Quinn and Amber!!!

Totally Loved Quinn and Amber

What an emotional read, so much happening, so much pent up feelings, and a bit of drama on the side LOL. The shocker was little Josie OMG amazing and so many coincidences happening. The stars lined up and it was most definitely fate and meant to be. It was so heart warming that Piper adopted Amber it was like everything came full circle. I was confused with the ending where Amber was adopting Josie or was it Amber and Quinn adopting Josie. Quinn's name was on the birth certificate so that seemed strange. Also it seemed Quinn and Amber got married so she also had his name. Oh well. The one thing I was really disappointed in, is that they didn't move back to Texas. Quinn left his buddy and his work on the ranch for New York. He's a Cowboy and that left me a little said.
I loved The Devil's Horn Ranch Series and it's so worth the read. Ok on to The Brothers of Calloway Creek, this should be interesting LOL

What I Liked:
I liked how Samantha Christy brought in a lot of elements from some of her previous books, since the Quinn and Amber, the main characters, are the now adult children of those books. I enjoyed the beginning where Amber shows Quinn that men aren’t the only ones that can have a policy for one-night-stands.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I was a little thrown off by the progression of the story. The resolution was much more based on the development of Amber’s character than her relationship with Quinn.

Overall:
Yes, technically this is a western romance, but don’t let that keep you from reading the Devil’s Horn Ranch Series. They are as good as Samantha Christy’s other book and just happen to take place on a ranch in Texas. You never know, maybe you’ll find our you have a thing for cowboys.

I cannot even explain how amazing this book was. I have been waiting for this book probably from the second I finished Piper's Epilogue. The love that Piper had for Amber without even knowing her was so beautiful and I cried so hard when Piper finally got to meet her but I wanted more IMMEDIATELY.

Amber was such a broken person who I just wanted to hug for most of the book. She had a hard life and is having a hard time accepting that the Mitchells want her around. Enter Quinn.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Quinn. Purple Orchids was one of my favorite books so getting to find out what happened to the child Karen had was a story I always wanted. And Samantha DELIVERED. He is one of my favorite leading men she has. He's also become the victim of his circumstances due to his family.

I won't give away any spoilers because EVERYONE deserves to get to read this love story for themselves. I will say that Samantha's writing just keeps getting better and this is the perfect ending to the series. Quinn was everything I wanted him to be and more and I adored getting to see the growth that these two characters go through. I also really loved getting to see the relationship between Piper and Amber blossom.

The chemistry is off the charts, the characters were well written, and the storyline is breathtaking. READ THIS BOOK! You will not regret it.

Also, you get to meet Tag, who is going to be the hero in the next series, and he is already shaping up to be a new favorite of mine (I say this after every book I read of hers and it is always true)

I have been hooked on Samantha Christy’s books since Purple Orchids where we fall in love with the Mitchell sisters. The Devil Horn ranch books are the same. You find yourself falling in love immediately with the characters. At first I was sad to start Texas Roses because that meant this series was coming to an end but what a story to end it with. Texas Roses was one of Samantha’s best. You find yourself wanted to know more about Quinn while reading Texas Lillies well here is your chance. We also meet Amber who we learn about in Black Roses. Quinn and Ambers story is a story of new beginnings and hope yet it pulls on your heart strings. Samantha wraps up this series perfectly leaving no loose ends. I loved this story and can’t wait for the next books Samantha writes.

OMGGG what a storyline!!! Amber is all grown up and back in the Mitchell fold with her birth mom Piper back in her life. She’s been living life on her terms until she meets a man she never knew she should be looking for. Never thought she’d want or need and yet Quinn Thompson is her missing piece. The Cowboy from Texas makes this Calloway Creek girl feel whole for the first time in her life.

I’m still teary eyed over that epilogue!!!! My heart is a gooey mess of goodness and gratefulness for the love that Amber and Quinn have found and the way things came full circle in this book.
It was better than I ever dreamt it could be!
Just you wait!!!! Grab the tissues. You’ll need them for the happy tears.

Quinn and Amber.

Oh my life, what a beautiful story. It's been a while since I've read a book that has made me cry, I cried loving tears, not sad one's.
Quinn and Amber have both had a rough life, both using the opposite sex for just one thing, to get them through life how they know best.
After meeting at Aarons wedding, they spend the night together, both telling each other it's just for one night, Amber is due to leave the next day and Quinn is flying her back to the airport.
Just after take off the helicopter that Quinn is in control of fails and they start heading for the ground!!
This is where there story begins. It's powerful and emotional but it's so beautiful.
I highly recommend this book and the first two in this series.
A massive 5 stars from me!
