Throughout her accomplished career, Maria Dadouch has demonstrated an unwavering passion for creative writing, and her talent has earned her numerous accolades. After completing her education in creative writing at the University of California, Los Angeles, Maria went on to win a multitude of prestigious awards, including the Sheikh Zayed Award, Katara Prize, Shoman Award, Arab Forum Award, and Daybreak Award. She was also the recipient of the Claire Carmichael Novel Scholarship and the Hedgebrook Fellowship, and was shortlisted for the Itisalat and Arab Forum Awards.

As a highly respected author and speaker, Maria has been invited to share her insights at various high-profile events, including the Riyadh Book Fair, Sharjah’s Reading Children Festival, Emirates Literature Festival, and Abu Dhabi Book Fair. She has also been invited to participate in writing retreats at prestigious locations such as Hedgebrook and OMI, where she has further refined her craft.

With more than 60 published works in both the Arab world and the United States, Maria's writing has been widely celebrated and recognized. In addition to her writing, Maria is also dedicated to helping others learn about the craft, and is the instructor of the only Massive Open Online Course on "How To Write a Picture Book," which has reached over 60,000 aspiring writers.

Prior to her work as an author, Maria also made a mark as a screenwriter, having written for the popular comedy series Maraya and creating animation for Spacetoon. Additionally, she served as an editor-in-chief for Fulla Magazine. As Maria puts it, "I'm a good storyteller."

من امتع و ألطف قصص اليافعين التي قرأتها لأطفالي هذه السنة!
القصة ملييييييئة بالمواقف الطفولية الحقيقية، و قد اختارت الكاتبة مشكلة طفولية واقعية و حلولها و كأنها فعلاً طفلة صغيرة خالية من بعض المثاليات التي نراها في قصص الاطفال

ابنتي ضحكت كثيييرا ، و جذبهم استخدام شخصية اولاف في القصة، و ايضا كانت تعليمية من خلال الحصة الدراسية عن انواع الاشكال الهندسية

كرمة كارميلا هي شخصية اطفالي المفضلة الان، سنكمل السلسلة بإذن الله و سنقرأ اكثر لماريا دعدوش

شخصية كارما طفولية واقعية جدا قريبة من سن ٦-٨ ، أحداثها فكاهية ولا تخلوا من قيم يكتسبها القاريء بطريقة غير مباشرة.
هذه القصة تحكي عن موقف تتعرض له كارما وتقع في مأزق وكيف تتصرف.
أعجبتني جدا وتمكن ابني في الصف الثاني من قراءتها بسهولة وأضحكته واستثارت فضوله لآخر صفحة.

نص رائع حيوي متدفق مليء بالمفاجآت. لا يمكن ان تمل منه. كما ان فويس شخصية كارما ممتع لاقصى درجة. الافكار والمواقف الطفولية، والإيقاع المتلاحق، وطرافة الحوار والفكرة. كتاب جميل بالفعل.
