This book contains works by Poe, Burrage, Courier, Nesbit, Cram, Doyle, Benson and Cholmondeley.
This is a perfect book for younger readers two sample different author's works and decide what they like and what they don't. These are classic tales written by undisputed masters of the pen. What can I really say about the writing in this book? It is phenomenal to say the least.
Horror is definitely my genre and reading the masters of the genre is always enjoyable for me. I love books like this because the writing does not get monotonous and changes up every chapter. Each writer has their different style and panache.
Just a great read all the way around! I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed this collection of classic scary stories; I liked most of them, and while a couple were a little too creepy for my taste, I thought that all were well-written.

Grabbed this one out of the bookcase for the 2017 reading challenge - A book with a cat on the cover.

I think this was purchased for my middle son at a book sale at his school. He's 24 now, so if I had to guess, I'd say 13 years ago.

We're a creepy family and we like the old classics so this lived up to expectations. Some of the stories I knew already but it is a solid collection on the whole. Quick and easy read because you can stop after finishing a story without having to rush back and forget plot.

With regard to that incredible cover I had to pick this one up. Creepy Classics Pt. 1 was a very good anthology too. What about this one? Black Cat, Between the Minute and the Hour, A Tale of Terror, The Violet Car, The Dead Valley, The Leather Valley, The Thing in the Hall, Let Loose... many a great tale by classic authors. The illustrations weren't as good as in the first volume but the atmosphere definitely was. Great add-on when you want to dig deeper into the world of horror. Really recommended!

As volume 2 of a three-book beginner's guide to the masters of Gothic horror literature, "Creepy Classics II" is a step up from the first volume in terms of material choices. Poe gets his turn here once more, but authors like Arthur Conan Doyle, less associated with horror, are also showcased to great success. "The Dead Valley" and "Between the Minute and the Hour" are rarely anthologized hidden treasures of the genre.

i though that it was a great book for people looking for a book that gives multiple spine chilling stories that are also interesting and not just scary. it had suspense an the feeling of weird creepy that sometimes cant be captured in books. the book over all was an interesting read and gave good stories for those who didn't want to stick to one book and get goo short spooks.
