Victoria Pade is the bestselling author of numerous contemporary romances, six historical romances and two mystery novels. She began her writing career after leaving college to have her first daughter. That daughter was seven years old and there was a second daughter, before Victoria had her first book accepted for publication. That novel and the three that followed it were historical romances. But the exit of her husband and the urge to do more contemporary writing that explored the kinds of problems she was facing inspired a switch.
3 Stars! ~ Delia never thought she'd see Andrew again after their passionate holiday fling three months before. She's surprised to find out that he's Andrew Hanson, and Hanson Media is vying for their advertising account. Andrew's lead a footloose and fancy free life up until he'd received an email from his brother Jack, saying his allowance would be cut off if he didn't return to Chicago to help the faltering company. Acting as the new sales manager for advertising, Andrew is pleasantly surprised to see Delia again. But Delia drops a bomb; she's pregnant and Andrew is the father. When Jack hears this he goes ballistic and insists that Andrew does the right thing and marry Delia. Of course, Delia won't have anything to do with that idea, until Andrew convinces her to get to know him better. When they marry, Delia is suddenly faced with the uncertainty of whether Andrew married her for her, or to prevent further scandal from touching Hanson Media.
At first Andrew's portrayed as a selfish 28 year old who never had a care in the world. We see Andrew's outlook do an about face rather quickly. He does redeem himself but only after learning many hard lessons. Delia's spooked by their age difference, she's 37 and has a hard time believing Andrew could really care for her. Delia's character wasn't completely developed in my opinion. It was harder to tell her emotions. Although their chemistry was intense, their emotions were harder to gauge and believe in.

1.7 Stars. Public Library 1/30/15. The description sounded interesting enough to give this book a try but I wish I hadn't. Delia is on a tropical family vacation when she meets Andrew they have a one night stand that results in a pregnancy (and is surprised even through she had unprotected sex with a stranger). Contrary to the description she is never his client...a prospective client at best. Most of the book isn't about the baby at all but Andrew's family/work troubles and Delia's baggage. I'm not a big fan of age differences in characters and Delia is almost 10 years older. She takes on a very judgy condescending attitude about Andrew once she learns he's that much younger. Andrew isn't a peach either but he mans up (after a little whining) and takes responsibility. The story and characters weren't bad just not for me. I'd recommend this for woman (37+) they might enjoy the age difference... I did not.
Delia and Andrew met in Tahiti. There was an instant attraction which led to a one night stand. Three months later, they run into one another in Chicago. Once Andrew finds out that Delia is pregnant with his baby, Andrew must convince Delia that marriage is the best deal for everyone.
