Dr. Udawatte doesn’t belong in Timber Falls, and she’s known it since the moment she arrived. She’s a city girl through and through, and Chicago is nothing like this dinky one-horse down. The only thing that’s made her residency here bearable is her roommate, Dr. Trout. And now he’s leaving.
Greg Trout never intended to stay in Timber Falls; he promised his mentor he’d move back home so he could retire. A promise he intended to keep...until he fell in love with his roommate. When an unexpected job offer changes his options, he’s determined to find out how she really feels about him…and decide if he can live with breaking his promise.
After all, it’s Christmastime in Timber Falls, and you know what they say--there’s no time like the present.

"No Time Like the Present" by Fiona West was a funny, sweet, and heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance featuring endearing characters and a touch of holiday magic. The connection between main characters Greg and Tharushi was apparent long before they made things official, but I completely understood why they were afraid to risk their friendship by acknowledging what they felt. I particularly enjoyed their banter and cute nicknames for each other, as well as Greg's silly dad jokes. They were opposites in a lot of ways, but I loved them as a couple and thought that they truly brought out the best in each other.
I finished this story with a big smile on my face; it felt just like a hug in book form. I highly recommend "No Time Like the Present" for all fans of sweet contemporary romance and look forward to whatever Fiona West comes up with next.

5+ stars for this cozy, clean Christmas read with a cultural twist. Timber Falls is quintessential small-town life with quirky characters and homespun goodness. It’s the perfect backdrop for a holiday novel.
Tharushi and Greg have been roommates that have been secretly in love with each other for years. They’re so adorable and their slow burn is just the right pace.
I loved the pacing and how Fiona West gave glimpses into Tharushi (I had to look up how to pronounce that name!) and Greg’s romance. It was not something that happened so quickly (in the span of a few weeks like most romances) but a gradual thing that happened over the course of their residency. Fiona West gives glimpses to it in an easy-to-follow way, while also including glimpses of characters from past books as well.
I enjoyed how Tharushi showed she loved Greg in subtle ways, and how Greg showed his love with a bit of an extreme that was cute. It really was just one lovely story!
No Time Like The Present was filled with sweet moments, snowball fights, and learning that sometimes wonderful things happen in unexpected places. I loved this sweet story and give it 5 stars.

The couple of this Timber Falls book started as friends in which their relationship changed one holiday season before the hero returns home. The couple are roommates that grew closer as they years went by and now as the hero's imminent departure is coming closer, they began to realize that it's their chance to change their relationship. The question is when will they take that critical step.
This is a very nice addition to the Timber Falls series. The couple were definitely friends and the book showed how their feelings turned to wanting a deeper relationship. There's a great group of secondary characters that supported them. And it was super enjoyable to read how the book showed their expertise as doctors in some way. This book has a nice holiday vibe and a pleasing writing style. I do need some more details in some parts of the story as it would have helped make the story better in my eyes. Overall it's an enjoyable holiday romance book and I wouldn't mind reading more Fiona West books in the future.

Tharushi and Greg were two doctors in a program at Santiam Hospital in the rural town of Timber Falls, Oregon. They were assigned as roommates in apartment 1, a small apartment over a garage. I really enjoyed the banter that grew between these two characters as the months and years went by in the program. Tharushi grew up in a city and Greg came from a small, rural town. It was funny to learn why Dr Greg Trout called her Peaches. I also enjoyed watching Tharushi and Greg develop feelings for each other. It just took a long time for either of them to cross that bridge but I was so glad that they did. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Dr. Tharushi Udawatte had to do her residency in Timber Falls to try to get her career back on track. She comes across as a bit cold and prickly but she really does want to her best for her patients. Her roommate, Dr. Trout seems to know exactly how to handle her to make her unwind a little bit and allow her to cope living in this backwater town. Greg Trout has already made commitments to return to his own backwater town on finishing his residency and can’t find the courage to let Tharushi know that he’s smitten with her. As his leaving deadline rushes up, he’s still frozen in indecision. I really like Fiona West’s characters they definitely have their quirks and are more likeable for it. This gentle Christmas romance ticks all my boxes.
Romance, contemporary, sweet; series but standalone read Cute contemporary romance. Friends to more after 2 long years of residency. Medical/hospital setting for background/setting. Saying the words that they had feelings kept them apart, but they finally realize it’s worth the risk. Sweet, natural fall, that was a lovely read.
A nice book, good storyline, great characters. I’m leaving off one star because I found it a bit hard to get into at the start and found the book in general to be a bit slow at times, but there were definitely more positives than negatives, or I wouldn’t have finished it in the first place. Watching Tharushi and Greg grow closer together as the years pass, and acting like a couple without even realising it is just so cute. When they finally see what everybody else sees it is just beautiful. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my voluntary and honest opinion.
I'm not sure why I hadn't read this yet but I'm glad because it was nice to be back in Timber Falls. I loved Greg and Tharushi and finally getting to see inside their heads and this was a nice, quick insight into their relationship. Also, throughout the whole read I was just yelling at them in my head "Just tell him already! Just tell her already!"
This book promised a sweet holiday romance, and delivered exactly that, right down to teh search for a Christmas tree. Adorable, and I'm already looking ahead to the next book. (But I'll read this one again a couple of times first ;o)
This book was about doctors. It had so much good information. The characters in this book were very interesting. The romance was fun and loving. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
This is a story about change and possibilities. Two roommates who have shared a house and gotten to know each other now have a decision or two. Read on and enjoy.
