Alice lives in London, UK, with her husband and son. By day she's a compliance manager for a pharmaceutical company. By night she writes fantasy romance about shape shifting mermen, water monsters and time-travelling witches. Her first book, “A Merman’s Choice,” was published in January 2019 by Black Velvet Seductions. It is the first book in the Sea of Love fantasy romance series, inspired by the landscapes and legends of Brittany and Wales. The second and third books, “Music for a Merman,” and “Mermaids Marry in Green,” are out now. Before I get into it, let me first start by saying that my review is solely based on my thoughts as a reader, and not that of a professional.

I could probably gush over the beauty of this anthology because yes, it's truly just that, BEAUTIFUL! Love has no titles and Rainbow Desire is the perfect example with the turn of every page.

We start with Love comes in many shapes by Alice Renaud Ariel, Maia and Bryony tell the tale of forgiving your past to moving on to the future without looking over your shoulders. Then we get into James by Callie Carmen which explores the love between best friends Sam and James and highlights just how important honesty is about one's feelings.

Omg Trust in Love by Gibby Campbell happens to be one of my favorites of the collection as Brad and Brigid made my heart swell with joy and their story also added to my understanding of being transgenders.

Her Rogue Identity by Patricia Elliot is not only about love, but also loss along with discovering and accepting the truth about one's self. I just loved the development between Ashlynn and Wes despite the circumstances of how they started.

The Holy Trinity by Viola Russell Highlights the hypocrisy of practicing what you preach along with coming to terms with your children’s decisions by trying to understand them by simply loving them and being supportive.

Midnight Queen by Annabel Allan is about fulfilling a high school fantasy that leads to clarity along with forgiveness in moving on to a second chance for loving truly and honestly.

Flowers for Kate by Estelle Petersen is that sweet and plump cherry on top of a delicious dessert. Estelle does it again with Kate and Laura who both turned out to be related to the characters in her story Lessons on Seduction which I highly recommend you read if you're into a spicy, passionate romance. Flowers for Kate is about opening up your heart to a new possibility of forever love while closing the chapter on an unsolved one that's linked to fate.

Rainbow Desire is a high recommendation as the BVS crew does it again.

Rainbow Desire showcases a diverse range of romance stories with LGBTQ+ themes, superbly written by stellar authors. Having read previous anthologies by Black Velvet Seductions, I was once again impressed by the high-quality short stories in this anthology.
