This is a beautiful story that both adult and children reading could benefit from and be encouraged by with the truth of how God works beauty in our lives! The illustrations combined with the writing work so well together. I also purchased this book as a gift for a friend’s five year old who loved the story as well!

What a delightful, beautifully illustrated story of God's love and our inherent worth as people created in His image! A powerful message all ages can relate to but especially important for children growing into their identity. We all need to know and be reminded that we are seen, heard, loved, and valued. This book does just that and in such a profound way with vibrant colors, lyrical language, and a unique storyline that holds you captive until the very end. The discussion questions and activities at the end are extremely valuable and will help the reader develop a greater understanding of their worth and identity in Christ based on what the Bible says. I highly recommend it!

There is a beautiful story within the pages of this book. Kelly Wilson Mize has written a lovely book geared toward children, but insightful for adults as well. The beautiful words along with the illustrations show the reader that everyone has a beautiful story inside no matter our outsides. We are also introduced to the ultimate writer of our story. Mize uses colorful words to tell her story and guide the reader into a deeper understanding of what it means to have a story inside.

I highly recommend this book for parent to read with children. Many wonderful and interesting discussions could arise as they read together. I also recommend it for adults to read and enjoy.

Refreshingly unique, this story of realizing self-worth, not based on the world's definition of value but on God's, is a message urgently needed today. While beautifully illustrated and told from the perspective of a child, this message will speak to and resonate with all ages in all stages of life. Uplifting and charming, this debut shines a light on the value of WHAT and WHO should be central in our lives...WHAT AND WHO should be valued. Very well done.

A sweet reminder

This book is a sweet reminder that our worth is not in our appearance or weight. It is a good place to start if you have unfulfilled dreams. This book has a very sweet way to send this message of hope that also reminds us to look deeper at one another.

This is a lovely upper elementary picture book highlighting the theme that we are special and choosen by God. It also highlights many vocabulary words for the children to learn.
