"You're my girl. Aren't you?"
"Yes," I agree. He nips at my neck, making me whimper with need. I'm so close.
"Say it. Say you're my girl."
"I'm your girl," I rush to say.
"And I take care of my girl. Be my good girl and give me what I want. Come for me."

J/p romance at its finest!! 4.5 stars!

Sometimes you just need a great insta-love story with a deliciously possessive hero and a not-so-innocent starlet heroine. I freaking love the celebrity/bodyguard trope, and Ella Goode knocked it out of the park with this one! ♡

Guarding her body de Ella Goode

Argumento:

Insta love

Ella writes Insta love like a boss. Growly Alpha male leads who can back up every dirty word that pours from their mouth. With one look these men know instantly they’ve found their forever.

The female leads are relatable. Always genuinely nice so you can’t help you like them.

It’s a definite yes from me.

I want to be her everything.

Another good story by Ella Goode. Locke falls hard and fast for Sadie. He's possessive and makes his whole world about her. The whole stalker thing was wrapped up quickly and without much drama. Virgin h, no deets on his past but doesn't seem like a virgin or MW, no cheating or abuse, epilogue is years later.

Simple love story of a bodyguard and an actress.
This is a fast-pace novella so don’t take things too serious if you want it to be enjoyable.
Insta-love.
Virgin h.
Implied that H is a virgin and if he’s not, he doesn’t appear like a whore.
OMs want h (a stalker and a co-star)
HEA. Epilogue 25 years later which upgraded my ratting from 3 to 4⭐️

Sweet and Entertaining!

Cute story and a quick read under two hours. Sadie Monor and Sawyer Locke was a couple that wanted the same things in life. To love and show devotion to someone special. Sawyer and Sadie did not know what was ahead of them but found stable ground to stand on. The story had drama and a little bit of suspense thrown in.

This story is definitely worth 3-stars because of the interesting plot, but it did have errors in the book. You some time did not know who or what was taking place as others have mentioned in the book. I believe this book could very well be worth 5-stars if a decent editor was used.

All in all…….good story to read on a slow day!

Not up to her usual standards

Still a good book but there were quite a few mistakes. Seemed a little disjointed. Characters popped up at 70% with no previous mention like we were supposed to know who they were. Like they needed to be there to advance the story (i.e., Sadie has someone she trusts in the hospital) so they were squeezed in without bothering to go back and add them earlier in the story. Ending was very anticlimactic. The bad guy was some random that she had no connection to (at least we weren’t told what the connection was). His name is in the book 2 times on page 88. Locke has pictures that were so horrible his dad didn’t want to look at them but we don’t know what they were or even how Locke found out who the guy was. Was he an obsessed fan? Did she know him somehow? Why was he fixated on Sadie? What did he want from her? Confusing. Also, there’s a rundown on what happened to people who hurt Sadie but the manager is left out. He was one of the worst so it would have been nice to hear about him experiencing karma as well.

The characters were good and the chemistry was believable but this may be my least favorite Ella Goode book. Still a fan. This one just seemed to move very fast and didn’t always make sense.

** 2.5 stars **

Okay this was kind of a hot mess.

The story all around was pretty good but there was so many continuity errors that blinded this read for me.

Like the blurb at the front says the male OC is called Nathan but actually that’s just the name of her first driver. The male OC is actually called Sawyer Locke, also just referred to as Locke. Which Sadie happens to know somehow before he even introduced himself? Also Sadie says a few things super definitively that Locke just doesn’t really acknowledge or regards it as her not being sure, which is either a continuity blip or messy writing.

Also the whole plot line with the rich kid stalker is fucking pointless. I genuinely had trouble keeping track of all the shit going on in Sadie’s life and who was the threat. Not to mention, I felt like we were forced to be so back and forth on Charlie and the guy from the auction for them to just be borderline irrelevant people.

I have this 2.5 stars because I love bodyguard romance and the dialogue was interesting enough but overall this is a miss.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Sadie has been an actress since she was a child, betrayed by her mom who was her manager, she is tired of the whole acting thing, she’s thinking of quitting. On top of a harassing predatory director she has a stalker. Fearing for her safety the detective assigned to her case tells her to get a bodyguard. He calls his friend Sawyer Locke of Locke Security to help protect her. The attraction and chemistry between Sadie and Sawyer is instant and hot. He arrives at her audition just in time to save her from the scummy director. He takes her to his house to protect her better. There she meets Sawyer’s mom who is super sweet to Sadie. He protect her during a gala where they pretend he is her boyfriend leading to their first kiss. More sexy times in their limo and at home. Someone causes confusion about a press met and her co-star to get her away from everyone to kidnap her. Sawyer is hurt while trying to protect her but she is saved by hotel security. Sawyer finds out who the stalker is and has him sent away to a prison. (You are not told how he found the stalker and you never really meet the stalker.) Lots of I love yous a proposal and cute epilogue with four grown kids.

The couple: Sawyer and Sadie

Romance genre: bodyguard
Length: 106 pages

Plot: Sadie is a hot young actress who needs a bodyguard. Enter Sawyer Locke. Once he meets her, he knows he is meant to be more than just her bodyguard. Sadie's not sure that the limelight is for her, after all, though, and Sawyer is there to help her when her life seems to be changing too fast.

Commentary: I thought the back and forth with Sadie understanding/not understanding Sawyer's intentions was a little irritating. I always wish people would just ask directly. Of course, all romance novels would be novellas then, and novellas would be short stories. But so many of the things he said could have been taken one way or another, and Sadie always took them another. She was sweet though, and there was enough mystery to keep things moving along.

Hmm...
So I get that the author was going for an innocent vibe with Sadie, which is fine and dandy in my book. However, seeing as how Sadie has been in the Hollywood life since a child and whether her mother as her manager shielded her from the more dirty side of the business...you can't seriously be so naïve to not know what was going on when a director invited you to his hotel room under the guise of reading a script.

Sawyer has always had a thing for the Hollywood sweetheart. So of course when the opportunity arises to protect her he snatches up the assignment.

I'm not sure exactly what I was hoping for with this book...It's a finished and completed story. I guess it just didn't hit the right buttons for me.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Sadie is a famous actress that has a stalker. Sawyer is hired to be Sadie’s bodyguard. From the moment they meet, a connection forms but will love blossom? Will Sawyer be able to keep Sadie safe?
The chemistry between Sadie and Sawyer is clear to see and I liked them together.
I hated the way some people treated Sadie. I was happy she had Sawyer by her side.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Steamy, Suspenseful, Quick-Read

This novel is a solid four-stars-out-of-five read. I loved the chemistry between Sadie and Sawyer, I loved the stalker theme bringing in the OMFG moments, I wished there were more smutty scenes sooner, but all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. In many of the books I read, I get an epilogue where it's right after the wedding, but I loved this epilogue out of all others. Seriously, the epilogue was epic! Sadie and Sawyer's timeline flashed forward twenty-five years and so much happened! I'm family-oriented and baby-crazy, so Sadie and Locke getting married and having four boys and one daughter were icing and cherries and caramel drizzle on the cake! I loved this book so much! Kudos to Ella Goode!

I ate this up in one sitting!

I love stories that reach right out and grab you right from the start! Super smart and sexy Sawyer and beautiful and good hearted Sadie are perfect for each other!
The action and character reveals start right at the start. They actually let the suspense build before they fall for each other. I hate stories that begin with horny people having sex right off the bat. Who the heck does that? Its kind of smarmy.
Anyway, do read this. Its short but really good.
And PS, I got that an editor mixed up Noah and Sawyer's names but it didn't damage my brain any.

I love the whole body guard trope and really liked this one. It was well written with no glaring editing issues that plague this genre. Up until the last couple chapters, it would have been a 5 star read. It was a great mix of stalker storyline and the building of the relationship. A lot of side characters were introduced and I couldn’t tell who the stalker was going to end up being. Let’s just say that wrap up was less than satisfactory and lowered my rating to 4 stars. But overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Guarding Her Body is the story of Locke or Sawyer and Sadie.

Sawyer is hired to be her bodyguard when someone tries to threaten her life, a stalker. The first time he sees her, he’s pussy whipped. I mean like full on jealousy and she’s an actor and has to read some lines and he be talking about how to kill the man and dispose of the body BAHAHAHA. Finally one night after someone tried to kidnap her and he got hurt in the process, he finally claimed her and they got married. 4 boys and 1 girl. I want Carol’s story with Stone UGH.

Solid 4/5

After being betrayed by her own mother, Sadie is now living a life of fear when a fan turned stalker that seems to be everywhere. Sawer is the owner of a security firm offering safety to the rich and famous. When he meets the famous actress he has a crush on he is taken by surprise when all his protective, possessive and erotic instincts slams into him. Highly recommended

Bodyguard romance done just well.
tho the narration was bit sloppy for you can't get hold of the surroundings at times, but other than that it was sweet and sensual; most importantly without much drama and possessiveness hitting just the right spots.

goodread.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.

So, I love this author's work. This book just didn't catch me like others in the past. I'd say this was 3.8 stars for me. I felt like the story was rushed at parts and then it felt like the flow was off. I did enjoy Sadie and Sawyer, just wasn't one of my favorites

ohhh wow…

Locke sounds super hotttttt… Sadie and Sawyer were so lucky to find each other. After meeting they both wanted to stay by each other’s side and tried not to let the world influence them. So glad Sadie decided to let the world know about that creepy director and safe other girls from that fate
