At 22-years old he lost the use of his legs. That was only the beginning. For Vik, his descent into an abyss of complete darkness, forced him to make a decision. If he was going to claw his way back, he would need to develop a mental plan.
His natural curiosity helped.
Could he come to terms with it all?
The emotion of it all was nearly too much, until he learned how to release himself from the blocks that kept away the joy. Make no mistake, this was a roller coaster of a journey, but through it all, the joy, sadness, success, setbacks, and victories, he found something worthwhile.
Himself.
In this book you’ll discover how to live the life you truly want.
You’ll love this gut wrenching biography because the real value for each of us lies in how he came out the other side. It will change your life.
I enjoyed this book because the author is incredibly vulnerable and honest with his life experiences, including ones that most of us cannot relate to like becoming paralyzed, as well as those we all struggle with like finding the right career, managing insecurities and navigating relationships. His journey is fascinating and seems to have led him to exactly where he needs to be.
The author spent years trying to regain what he had before a life altering accident. In this book he unabashedly shares his struggles. When he finally accepts his new normal, he begins to live in the moment and find the meaning in life we all struggle to find.
This book was an eye opener to the realities and triumphs the writer has encountered. It is heartwarming, funny and real. For people who want to learn about meditation or who are questioning it’s relevance this is a must read. It taught me a lot and I recommend it highly. Great book for parents to give to their teens as it discusses the realities of drinking in college and hits home. Easy to read and understand. Five stars doesn’t do it justice.
