As a child growing up, most Malayalee homes warn their children not to read Kovoor. I have heard many stories about how theist have turned atheist reading his book.

Fortunately Kindle Unlimited had English version of his books. The book is not just a rant against religion or theist. Kovoor shares incidents from his early life, college on how superstitious beliefs harms most of us, especially the lower middle class and poor. A no-nonsense book on the author's eminently successful efforts at debunking frauds and dispelling spiritual mumbo jumbo. A commendable journal of scientific, pragmatic investigation into seemingly mysterious events and phenomena by an eminent practitioner of science and the arts. A breath of fresh air in a world filled with superstition and blind faith.

As the sub title says it narrates the author's encounters with spiritual frauds. How the gullible people are exploited by the so called god men, fake sanyasis.
Even educated people suspend their rational mind in their blind belief in these god men.
