A Sushi series short story This short story takes place after the events in Weddings and Wasabi.
Originally this short story was in the anthology A Recipe for Romance which is now out of print. "White Soup" is now only available for Camy's newsletter subscribers.
Camy writes Christian romantic suspense, contemporary romance, and cozy mystery as Camy Tang and Regency romance under her pen name, Camille Elliot. She grew up in Hawaii but now lives in northern California with her engineer husband and rambunctious dog. She graduated from Stanford University in psychology with a focus on biology, but for nine years she worked as a biologist researcher. Then God guided her path in a completely different direction and now she’s writing full time, using her original psychology degree as she creates the characters in her novels. In her free time, she’s a staff worker for her church youth group and leads one of her church’s Sunday worship teams. She also loves to knit, spin wool into yarn, and is training to (very slowly) run a marathon.
Restaurateur and caterer Jennifer Lim is busy developing dishes for an upcoming wedding. But a soupy fiasco in the kitchen paired with the entrance of her distracted boyfriend may have Jenn hearing anything but wedding bells in White Soup by author Camy Tang.
Aw, what a fun coda to this ChristFic chick lit series. I laughed, I cried (well—I didn't cry while reading this wacky little story, but I did have some tears earlier in the series), and I enjoyed revisiting a few of the characters I first discovered back in the earlier 2000s.
You don't need to have read the other books in the Sushi Series yet to catch on to this story, but you'll likely want to read 'em whether before or after. Well worth it!
Another great story Came! I was so lost in my reading i didn't realize I was at the end. I miss the sushi series so much! All of the characters are so well developed and easy to relate to in each story. This is a series I would definitely read more than once because it has wholesome stories with likeable characters and a message to help those who may be on the fence about their religious beliefs.
