I still clearly remember the day I stood at the traffic lights in downtown Melbourne. There she was, sitting in her car, waiting for the lights to change green. Tapping her fingers impatiently.
Something inside my head went off. Kaboom! An idea formed, and became the beginning of a novel.
Instead of sitting patiently at the lights, she was nervous, extremely anxious as she was being pursued by killers. The next thing she knew, an angry, crazy man was slamming her windscreen with a sledgehammer and she was running for her life.

Jacob precisa se casar conforme o testamento de seu pai. Mas, vendo a felicidade de seus irmãos após casarem, não parecia que o seu seria tão ruim. O que não imaginava era que sua esposa estava acima da sua classe social, mesmo tendo conquistado tanto com seus irmãos. Por que o advogado escondeu esse detalhe?
Clarissa era a filha de um banqueiro. Porém, perder seus pais, mudou totalmente sua vida. Ela, que esperava poder se casar por amor, viu seu futuro sendo traçado pelos irmãos, o mesmo destino do qual estava fugindo.
Desesperada, ela pede ajuda ao advogado da família e decide seguir o seu conselho. Ao se casar por procuração, ela parte para Broken Arrow e para sua surpresa, para um futuro tão assustador quanto qualquer outro: descobrir que embora seu marido fosse rico, ela não teria mais as mordomias que sempre teve.

As always, this author has brought us a sweet and heartwarming story, yet one filled with human frailties. This is the story of Clarissa Reyes, a spinster, and Jacob Adams, a rancher. Clarissa has been raised in a wealthy family who had servants that did everything and has just lost her parents. Her brothers deem it is time for her to get married and begin to seek out and make arrangements for her to marry a man who Clarissa deems unsuitable. In order to avoid marrying this man, she marries Jacob by proxy and then heads west. Unfortunately Jacob is looking for someone who will be of help to him on the ranch, yet Clarissa hasn't the slightest idea about ranching or the work that goes into such a venture nor does she have any idea how to care for a home. Oh my, will Clarissa and Jacob be able to overcome all of the odds that are against them and find their HEA? Be sure to read this wonderful story to find out. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Jacob is wealthy, but not extravagantly so. Will Clarissa be able to adjust to ranch life in a small town? Jacob does all he can to show her that love is what she need.
This couple had their share of difficulties to overcome, but once Clarissa realized what true love was, she finally felt at home. ❤️

Lavished with luxury or love?
Clarissa thought her family loved her, thought she was happy with her life of luxury, fancy dresses and pretentious dinners. She could never be happy with less....could she? She thinks she deserves only the best dresses, numerous servants and the respect of being the richest family in town...in short she is spoilt. She has a sharp learning curve when she becomes Jacob's bride, but she surprises us all by acknowledging that maybe she has been living a life of excess, she is willing to learn, to embrace her new life and for the first time experience love, with no strings and no expectations.
Jacob is a great character, he is strong and confident, kind and supportive, loving and considerate a great husband for a scared and insecure bride.

A Bride for Jacob is the third installment from Cheryl Wright’s series, Brides of Broken Arrow. I loved the interactions between Clarissa and Jacob. I couldn’t help but to giggle at some scenes. I thought it was a great story! I loved it.
I am giving A Bride for Jacob a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy clean, heartwarming, and sweet historical romances. I will be looking for the release of book four from the Brides of Broken Arrow series, A Bride for Chance.

Mismatch but true soulmate
I loved reading the last two books of Brides of broken arrow and I really enjoyed reading this book as well all three brides came from very different but desperate situations. All characters are loveable it's so nice to read about three brothers and their journey and how wonderfully they grew from the first chapter when Noha blew up on learning the condition their father had set for them. Teddy played a major part in their happy lives. A wonderful read I would recommend it for sure.

Time for the last brother to find a wife. Jacob wants a happy family just like his brothers have. Clarissa needs to get married before her brothers force her into marrying a rich man of their choosing. But she's in for a shock when she arrives at the Ranch. She's a spoiled rich girl, used to servants and a huge home. Can she get used to living on the Ranch without servants? Will she fall in love with her new husband?
I didn't particularly care for Clarissa and her attitude of not liking being so below her station. But it was still a fine story.

Jacob thought he hit the jackpot when his beautiful proxy bride showed up. However, it didn't take him long to realize that Clarissa had no idea just what ranch life was... or housework for that matter. She was a pampered girl who grew up with a personal maid and house servants. She had no idea what she had gotten herself into. However, she determined to stay with Jacob and her sister-in-laws helped her to adapt. Love family and faith are strong in this book.
I listened to the audiobook of this and really enjoyed it. The narrator was easy to listen to and did a wonderful job bringing this story to life.

Larissa heads into her marriage unsure. She knows her family doesn't want her, doesn't need her. She is use to a certain lifestyle. She is offered to Jacob as his bride. She isn't sure she is staying, it is far different than her old life. Jacob falls for her, tries so hard to please her. Can they make it work? Such a great story.

A quick read but packed with heartwarming events. A lesson in what riches really means in life. Cheryl is a truly unique story teller that can entertain you with any of he books. I highly recommend you start at book one and continue to read the others in this series.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖💖💖💖💖

A fun story with Great characters. I loved how Clarissa grew and matured along with the slow growing romance. Jacob’s family makes you want to jump in the book and join them. A entertaining read that will keep you pulled into the pages.

It was delightful to read these 3 romance that were not littered with drama, murder, nor evil people. How refreshing. These are kinda short stories. I would prefer them all in one book.

Yes. I was brought up a bit like Clarissa and can attest to the feeling of being expected to behave in a certain way with little or no true love and caring. Love how the story shows her what a true loving family can be like. Somewhere to be valued and belong. A good read.

Like the books before this, Noah and Seth, I loved the simplicity of the romance. Jacob and Clarissa are a perfect couple, who fall in love when they don't have to.
