First to review this latest Systema Paradoxa creature feature. I like cryptozoology and I cannot lie. I mean, it’s just fun, whether you believe it or not, isn’t it? And why wouldn’t you want to live in the world where fascinating creatures mysteriously exist? In this, the latest of the cryptozoology series Systema Paradoxa, a teenager comes across a very strange creature in the woods near Princeton, NJ. And then can’t let it go, so she proceeds to unravel the mystery of just how such a creature came to be there in the first place. I’d never heard of the author, but according to her biography she seems like she specializes in YA fiction. Which I’m not (forgive the pun) a fan off. But this was still fun enough. YA, sure, but not in an intelligence insulting way. Primarily because these books are not meant to be great literature in any way – they are creature features. Quick mindless fun reading. And this one was pretty much in line with the overall quality of the series. Thanks Netgalley.
Another great read in the Systema Paradoxa series. These cryptids stories are always great. Enjoy the characters and the stories. Plus the background on the cryptids. Can't wait to read the next one. #FoundFootage #NetGalley
A high school girl photographs a strange creature. It's barely visible.in the picture and she keeps going back and attempts to get a clear photo of the cryptid. The creature is large and able to communicate with her.
An enjoyable story for teens. I thought it was going to be a horror novel, but turned around into something different. Jennie and Stacy are out in the woods, when they see a creature. After initially being scared, Jennie feels an unexplained connection with the creature. The girls decide to help the Mantis like creature.
