What adult woman wears a lace and silk teddy to sleep at night?

The fmc, who has the popular LARPing name Arawyn, is every man’s dream girl with even less pigment than body fat anywhere on her tiny body save for a hint of green in her eyes, and her gigantic breasts. When she’s not padding about her mansion in lingerie waiting for random men to happen upon her in a state of deshabille, she wears skin-tight leather because that wouldn’t make a person boiling hot paired with her high-h

This book was a welcome surprise. I didn't quite know what to expect from this story to be honest but i liked the premise of the book enough to be intrigued by it.
Despite wanting more from the plot especially the assassins part of it, i did enjoy the world building very much and i can't wait to see more of it. The characters were very well written and very unique which I 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐃 very much.

This review may be sort of gushing and include lots of superlatives because good gracious this book is fantastic! What Ms. Jones and Ms. Wylde have put together in this first in series makes me desperate for the rest of the series, I'm that in love with the characters and the plot. This is a slow burn start, but still with some steam *and* monstrous love interests are popular right now right? Right and the fellas that Arawyn gets lucky enough to meet are gorgeous in human form, plus they have a ...more

What an amazing start to a series!

If you are looking for something that has fae that are hot, "alien", and monster-y, then you need to pick this book up!

Arawyn, the female MC, is an absolute bad ass, so if that's your jam, be prepared to have a new girl-crush and idol. The thing about Arawyn is, she doesn't know why she's different, just that she is. As she learns more about who (or what) she is, so do you as the reader, which is my favorite kind of world building.

I ... unexpectedly really loved this.

It was set up to be a disaster for me:

- Fae heroes (not just one Legolas, but multiple??)
- Fae heroine who doesn't know it
- of course she's so speshul
- Cliffhanger ending with more books to come and no real resolution
- Heroine isn't clued in to the backstage drama, which means most of the plot is abs and fawning

And yet I absolutely loved every second. I was glued to my kindle while cooking!

I blame Stacy Jones. She hypnotized me with her cuddly heroes and gold

Holy freaking-moly. My mind is BLOWN🤯 This is my favorite book of 2021.

I’m a big fan of both of these authors in their respective genres. I was surprised and delighted to see them come together with a new RH fantasy series. This completely surpassed my expectations. I already CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK😍🙌. This book ends on a major cliffhanger and I am HERE FOR IT.

As a first book in a series I thought this book did an excellent job setting the tone, introducing the characters and the world.

Look at the beautiful cover.
Then, look at the blurb.
Then look at my review:
Hard pass. the female main character were annoying and boring, no personality whatsoever, going around in lace-like outfits waiting to be attacked, and more...
I really had hoped this would be good, but for me it was not.

I really liked this one. The h was really cool and I liked the guys too. Especially Viper he was my favourite.

Good plot and romance. I wish there was more smut tho.

Also there’s like no female characters in the book other than the h which is super weird. Like not even one.

The ending was kinda predictable and ends on a cliffhanger. I’m definitely reading the next one.

No OW or OM drama, no cheating, talk about SA and violence.

In that 3.5-4 range for me!

I liked the story, I liked the characters, and I was interested in the premise. Within Obsession and Lies is a book that I'll likely dig into again, and I'm certainly invested in the series and seeing what happens.

Arawyn is an FMC that I can get behind. She's strong, crafty, magically powerful, and it's to her benefit that she really has no clue what she is or what to do with her power. If not for that, I'd almost feel like she might be sliding a little into that "too

We just finished an arc of this book and absolutely loved it.

Arawyn's life has been difficult and lonely ever since she discovered that she was not the same as everyone else. Arawyn is powerful, but she doesn't know why, or the extent of that power. All she knows is that it has only ever brought darkness into her life.

One night her life becomes more complicated when she is drawn to three sexy as hell alpha men, Rathe, Viper and Fear. Rathe is the broody leader, Viper is the lovable psychopath,

i really liked this, however idk if there was a plot? lmao

like i read this in one sitting and i cant for the life of me figure out what happened during the whole book....................

the romance like barely started.... not much action...... WHAT!

i will be reading the sequel 100%

i loved the characters and i NEED to see more

Within Obsession and Lies is, quite frankly, a mess of a novel with an overly sexualized main character, little to no world building, and bland characters.

I read a few other reviews criticizing the opening chapter of Within Obsession and Lies by saying that it reads as if a man wrote it and they are absolutely correct. The main character, Arawyn, is described as wearing lingerie as she forges weapons and thinks about her own curves and sexual needs. This is also in line with my criticism that Ar

This is your book if you are looking for a fierce, weapon-wielding FMC and a harem with a touch of crazy, sweet, psycho, and fae. Honestly, I loved it. I read this as an ARC but will be gladly be adding the next to my list of preorders. The FMC, Arawyn is so compelling as she learns about who and what she is. The boys (or hot fairy man candy) have some fun extra bits that make this 18+ story an eye-popping adventure, but you should know this is a slower burn than some others and is certainly wri ...more

Fantastic book! It’s a reverse harem, slow burn. I loved all the characters! You have your perfect book boyfriend, your hilarious psycho path, and your broody fallen angel! I love how the main character can hold her own, and is strong and not just a pretty face! Definitely recommend!! Looking forward to reading the second one in march!

This book was fabulous and I loved the men who are part of Arawyns harem. Especially Viper - he gives me Diesel from DOV feels, except with less “I’m going to unalive the FMC” vibes. My only issue I had was that I was left with a lot of questions on Arawyns backstory. She had a hard, lonely life growing up but there was no reference to her having a job or how she was able to live the life she was currently which left me with lots of questions. Maybe this will be cleared up in book 2? Either way ...more

Oh my gods! I absolutely cannot wait for more in this series. Stellar start to a new world. Strong characters with believable faults. I'd 100% react the way Arawyn did to all the new info being thrown at her! And who doesn't love a cheerful psycho ♡ Just read it! You won't be sorry.

If you like fantasies about the fae and slow burn reverse harem then you'll enjoy this wild ride. I am anxiously awaiting book 2. Arawyn was a perfect mix of smart and capable with a hint of vulnerable.

I wasn't expecting it because i'm a little picky in this genre but i liked it. I liked the male leads and that they were a little darker and even if i wasn't a fun of the heroine at the start, she grew on me. I had some issues with some aspects of the story but all in all the whole adventure was good. ...more

Maybe even 4.5.

I shouldn't have liked this as much as I did, mainly because it has lots of tropes I don't usually enjoy or have the patience for. Maybe I was just in the mood for this sort of book, or maybe the tropes just worked for me here. Either way, I really enjoyed this.

We have fated mates, a MC they all think is perfect, insta-love, sort of. But I liked it! I've read very few RH books in the last year, but this book reminded me why I used to love the genre and why I still like to dip my t

Arawyn has powers she isn't sure how to control or use fully. They come and go, and when they come it makes those around her go a little crazy in obsession with her. When she meets Viper, Rathe and Fear, she may finally understand what she is, or who she is.

If you love fae romance, GO GET THIS BOOK! This is one of the best fae romances I've ready, but I expect nothing less from this author. The author knows how to weave a story that envelopes you until it's done. This wasn't a book I could sit d

So I found this lovely beautiful book on TikTok and it was marketed as similar to ACOTAR, but a reverse harem....

It delivered and THEN SOME!

OMG OMG OMG. I am hook, line and sinker for this book and need the next book... ASAP!

The characters in this book are all loveable, adorable, dark, sexy, and badass. The book world has left me intrigued and with so many questions and the ending broke my heart into a million tiny little pieces.

I am not okay and can only become well again with the next book

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Life is not easy for someone different. Arawyn has had nothing but pain and suffering since she turned sixteen and became different to everyone around her. She has a dark power that lies deep inside her, that makes anyone who gets too close develop a life threatening, dark obsession with her. Her only course of action has been to ke

Pacing was Off for Me

I like the story but it honestly felt slow going.

The dialogue vs descriptions of every one and thing were off. There was very little dialogue and a whole lot of words that didn’t forward the story at all. In other words for how long this book was - it didn’t feel like much happened. Scenes felt like they were on pause for crazy long inner monologue as well to the point is awkward. I kept picturing characters looking off into space for awkward periods of time.
