Language, custom, and ancestry forge seemingly impassable barriers between a woman and a bear shifter, but words cannot stand in the way when it comes to the language of the heart.

Autumn’s settlement is still reeling in the wake of the werewolves’ reign. If they are to protect themselves from future attacks, they will need help from their new bear guardians. The villagers are eager to give the bear shifters a reason to stay, especially after learning there are single males in the tribe interested in human wives. But before any of the bear shifters can court the village women, they must first wait for their chief to claim a mate.

Kohana saved Autumn from a vicious werewolf attack. When he offers to claim her as his mate, she is baffled. She’s a human widow with two unruly boys. The mysterious and majestic indigenous bear shifter is chief of his tribe and the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. Surely he wants a young bride with her maidenhood intact.

The tribe’s translator assures Autumn that she is the only female Kohana wants. He has witnessed her strength and position as a leader within her village. She has birthed two strong sons and looks out for her people.

After a passionless marriage, will Autumn make peace with the past and give in to her desires?

* This novella follows immediately after Animal Attraction, Wolf Hollow Shifters, book 5.

Reality is overrated ... which is why I write!

Vampire hunters, wolf shifters, witches, elves and Fae with humor, romance, snark and steam. I love bad boys with hearts of gold and heroines who kick ass.

🐻Love me some Bear romance 🐻

What if love had no words? would you be willing to embark on a romance like that? Well im so glad i did!!! ❤️ What a wonderful story where love has no color, race, or a specific language: and is guided on feelings and showing them. ❤️ Kohana and Autumn bring on this endearing and lovely romance that shows bonds can unite in the most unique way. Must read for any shifter fan!!

This was an awesome read that I had to finish in one sitting, I could not put it down. It moves along at the perfect speed for the story, speeding up when necessary and slowing down as needed. It has amazing characters that you will fall in love with no matter what happens and a story that keeps you reading until the end. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.

Primal Bonds picks up with seeing love develop between very loyal bear shifters and humans. Chief Kohana sets his sights on Autumn, a young widow with two children. It's a beautiful story of trust and falling in love with another person when actions are stronger than words. Be prepared because there always has to be some angst and conflict that will make you have all the feels.

An excellent addition to the Wolf Hollow Shifters world! I love my wolves but Jefford provided strong contenders in the charismatic, hilarious, intense and sexy bears. The meeting of two different cultures demonstrates how powerful love is and made for a beautiful, captivating read! Seriously, Primal Bonds was *chef's kiss*! If you enjoy shifter romance, this is a must read.

I'm going to break my review of Primal Bonds into two parts:

Storytelling:

It had an engaging start and a fair amount of suspense towards the end, but the middle kind of dragged on. I would have also liked seeing Kohana's POV.

Areas of Concern:
