Cocky Jock Wolf
HERO Eli is an all-star quarterback. He refers to himself as the golden boy, Mr. perfect. Straight A’s. He carries the world on his shoulders and knows he has to be his perfect self for friends, school, and his pack to be a good alpha. In turn, he hides away parts of himself, like he’s a nerd, because he thinks people wouldn’t accept him.
HEROINE Charlize is plus-size and nerdy. She works at a coffee shop. Has this thing against real life boyfriend because she doesn’t want to get hurt.

OVERALL THOUGHTS Been seeing this up and down my tiktok feed and I followed the author for sometime. This was a cute story. It’s cheesy and outrageously unrealistic, even if it’s a paranormal romance.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE First page: " I'd racked up plenty of one- night stands. came with the alpha wolf football star territory. I had a ball bunny knocking on my door most any evening, whether she knew or not I was a wolf shifter. I was always down for some arm candy, or bed candy. The stream of cheerleaders, Bay State University Dire wolves fans, and even a fresh out-of-school alum or two made me look like a sex god. " Like I get it. It was said plenty throughout the story that he is a man whore. From his friends to a little one liner from someone he had a fling with. Was over the top the whole time.
This book seems pretty current, with nods to tiktok and the new versions of Stephen King’s IT. You would think that “I’m a jock. I can't also be a nerd,” stereotype would have evolved into something a bit better but no. We’re stuck with him having to play up how he is secretly a tortured nerd inside who internally calls his friends stupid when they get references wrong.
I like cheesy books. I read Jessa Kane and Mink for goodness sake. Those or hella cheesy with insta-love. This book just fell flat for me. The writing was hard to get around. Felt very teenagerly and the dialogue was annoying. It was like watching an old episode of a children's cartoon about pre teens.
There was a scene where our mmc Eli, who is an alpha is about to fight a beta who is a “one-blood”, think “pure-blood” from Harry Potter, and they are getting ready to challenge each other and Eli references that he smells popcorn. Turns out the two women on the side, one being his girlfriend, had time to pop some popcorn to get ready for this fight? Cartoonish and silly.
Don’t even get me started on the fatphobic comments in this book that are put there to start fights.
There are four books in this series. I’ll finish them off to get a good idea of the authors' writing voice. But this one wasn’t a good introduction.

I really liked the premise of the story- hot jock wolf shifter falls for curvy nerdy bookworm human girl. However it's not your typical opposites attract because they actually have a lot more in common than the "labels" would lead us to believe. The dialogue between them was fun, comedic, and easy going. I enjoyed how Eli was super obsessive over Charlie and not once doubted why he was so attracted to her. Yes, he acknowledges she wasn't at all like the typical "bunnies" that he hooked up with, but when he mentions it we get the sense that he wants someone that's not a 'bunny'. I love the whole mating mark magic- I have not seen it done this way before. I found it interesting that a female wolf is called a wolftress in this book.
One thing I didn't like was the whole pack scenes- the dialogue was too cheesy and made me want to rate this book 3.5. Thankfully there were only 2 of these cheesy scenes. For a short book, it hit the right marks. I really enjoyed Eli and Charlie and I am cant wait to continue reading the series.

OTT Shifter Love
Eli Teagan and Charlize (Charlie, Char) are completely over-the-top fun! This is my first book from either author. I look forward to jumping into another one. I do hope the stories get a little bit longer, but this was a steamy good time.
I put my arm around book girl’s waist, and it took the damn will of a saint not to grab her plump ass.

I think my favorite part was when Charlie first met Eli's dad. I burst out laughing. I was so loud that my pup had to check on me. 🤣🤣
I borrowed the audio book. The narrators are Bridget and Jake Bordeaux. They both had great energy and delivery. Duet is the only thing that would have made this better. 🎧💜🎧

This was a quick, opposites-attract steamy romance between the playboy heir who has everything and the shy, curvy heroine who is content with blending in the background. I liked how Eli wasn't your typical alpha hero and enjoyed romance novels! Charley wasn't afraid to take charge, and I loved her shy confidence. This was a cute, sexy read, and I look forward to more🖤

Not really long enough to get any story. Eli is a cocky jock and a wolf shifter. The next alpha in line to take over his pack. Trying to be perfect for everyone until he meets Charlize, a human and his mate. She wants him for him but can he keep her. Eli and Charlize are a great couple. Steamy hot story, great couple, lots of fun.

Charlize thinks the night is going to be a mistake. And she proven right! Her date insults her one too many times! On the verge of leaving, Charlize gets rescued by a hot hunk! And it turns out to be none other than the high school football hero.
The book then moves at a pretty fast pace. It’s a short story, so we don’t have time for long walks and deep conversation 😂 and anyway his Wolf knows what it wants, even if Eli is fighting the instincts to mate and mark this gorgeous creature!
I love this authors writing, add in Piper Fox (who I've not read before) and it’s a fun and steamy read. You are always guaranteed a life with Aidy’s books, and this one is no exception. A chubby nerdy girl gets rescued by the school jock (who’s a bit of a secret nerd) and is then introduced into a new world (and that’s including the supernatural world of Wolf shifters!)
I love the internal dialogue that both the MC’s do. It had me chuckling throughout the book.
A short read but packs in lots of story. It’s also the start of a new series.

I feel like this book should come with a warning label. Two, in fact.
First, a warning for women with already high expectations, because Eli will not set that bar any lower. Sure, he's a bit on the promiscuous side, but once you get past that, he's totally book boyfriend material. He's hot, especially in an animalistic way, yet sweet and sensitive, especially to a woman's needs (i.e. keeping protection handy even though it's not actually needed). Oh, and he and Charley were absolutely adorkable together.
But the second warning label I feel this book could've used regards a certain piece of Eli's anatomy, especially as it pertains to him being a wolf shifter. Don't get me wrong, the love scenes were full of steam; Eli's got the goods, and he knows how to use it. I just could've done without the whole knotting thing. I could tolerate it to a degree the first time because it was apparently unusual for his wolf's knot to join the party, so to speak, and so to me, that was just his wolf side wanting to claim Charley as their mate. Other than that...just eww.
Oh, but hey, at least we have another heroine that's not a virgin. Huzzah!

Wolf shifter and all-star football golden boy Eli just wants one night off from all the expectations and go and see his favourite horror movie and eat popcorn. He hopes to get that chance if the cute nerdy book girl helps him and as long as his wolf doesn't pick up her scent - the last thing he needs is a fated mate. Charlize was told to go on the date or get fired by her boss who runs the Moon Beam coffee shop. Hazing picked the wrong guy to go out with, she then takes advantage of a great offer and ends up leaving with a football jock with more notches on his belt than books he has on the shelf. Then she realises that Eli is much more than that and she starts to develop feelings for him which is topped when he turns into a werewolf just like in a horror movie!
I quite liked this short book with the curvy movie and book-obsessed girl meeting her fated mate who is hiding in plain sight as a top college football player who was far more intelligent and deeper than that. A good fun read that was easy to comprehend as well as the fact that it morphed into a real HEA too. Contains explicit sexual content.

This book rocks! The first book of the Big Wolf on Campus series, it’s a definite must read and I can’t wait to read what comes next! Eli is the next Alpha of his wolf pack, the star college quarterback and very popular. But nobody truly knows the real him and he just wants a night to himself. He will get that when he meets Charlize, a curvy, nerdy girl, in the local bar. He will come to her rescue and soon the two will find that they have a lot in common. He also thinks she’s his mate. They will have a bump or two along the way but when the journey finally smooths out, it will give them both everything they ever wanted.

This was a cute, fun, and quick read! I don't know that I was in the proper headspace to truly appreciate this one (sometimes I'm into the sports romances, sometimes I'm not, and I can never tell until I start reading one), but it was still a fun evening read. I always appreciate a book loving hero, and the fact that the "nerd-dom" focused on in this book was horror rather than more mainstream was nice to experience. This was a good book to zip through as a PhD student, so give it a try if you're looking for a fun quickie (yes, I know what I did there, it was on purpose).

Cocky Jock Wolf is a short & sweet read. I liked nerdy Charley. She has a bit of a complex about her curves but i loved that that wasnt really the focus for Eli. Yes he noticed & liked them but it was their love of old horror movies that connected them. Meaning that started an attraction that was based on common interests more than anything else. Yes it has steam in it but i liked the dynamic Charley and Eli had. It was a really good read and im looking forward to getting my hands on more books in this series

Cocky jock wolfram, is an insta love story, written by the amazing ladies Aidy Award and Piper Fox. I was lucky to find this book on Facebook, the rest is history.
I really like this story, some people might not like insta love or love at first sight. In my opinion those stories are the best ones to read when you are in a slump. Both Aidy and Piper did an amazing job writing the love story of Eli and Charlize. The Cocky Jock Wolf shows you not to judge a book by its cover, it shows the perfect couple doesn't have to look the same. But the most important thing that shows is that every woman with or without curves deserves to be treated like the queen she is. Eli sees and treats Charlize like a queen, well like his LUNA. Eli knows she belongs to him, and he won't stop until he makes it his. He would protect and kill for her, he also has his own squad to have his back.

Don't judge a book by its cover...
Eli and Charlize's story made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I fell for Eli right away. Yes, he is super sexy hot but he has a nerdy side that spoke to me. He is also not your stereotypical captain of the football team hottie. He has of course been with many, many sports bunnies, but they are only romps in the sheets to him. When he meets Charlize, he immediately is drawn to her charms and he believes she is his fated mate.
Charlize can't believe Eli could be attracted to her. She is after all chubby and spends most of her time watching horror movies and reading spicy romance novels. What really gives her a shock is that she finds out Eli is a wolf shifter. Their story is adorable, funny and made me snort laugh on more than one occasion.

Eli is the star player for the Dire Wolves. He just wants to be so much more then just star football player, play for the NFL or being the future alpha of his pack. Charlize is a curvy book worm who loves the classical horror movie. She is the one person that does not judge Eli but is also very drawn to him. They have a lot of common interests and with her he doesn't have to hide. She brings out the true Eli. Read this book and find out what happens with not only Eli's future? But find out what happens with him and Charlize.

Sweet novella
As always, Aidy Award delivers a great, sweet shifter story in this new series. I personally loved the small references and joining characters from other books she has written.
I wasn't sure what to think when I saw that it was co-written, but the flow between both authors seemed to be seamless.
I only wish that it had been a touch longer but I enjoyed this quick read. Can't wait for the next one. Definitely recommended for all those paranormal fans out there!

This was a quick, cute read. I liked that Eli was so much more than a stereotypical football jock. I enjoyed his nerdy side. Charlize thinks he could not possibly want her and they will have nothing in common, but she quickly finds out that he will fight for her. I enjoyed the humor that added to the story. I absolutely loved all the pop culture references. I highly recommend this book, it is definitely worth picking up.

I love both of these authors and to see them working together like this to pull out a fab and fun shifter story, well count me right in! This story had great flow and characters that were more than they seemed. I loved their dynamics, the nerdiness and the steamy romance that sparked between Eli and Charlize. So much fun to follow their journey and I can't wait for the next book by this 'dynamic duo' ;D

I love a good insta-love fated mates story, but this was not it for me. The story is fine. I should've known from the blurb that this would be filled with phrases like 'book boyfriend' and extensive talk about romance novels but call me naive cause I read it anyway.
Take out all the romance novel talk and make the main character a smidge less annoying, and I think this could've gotten at least 3 stars from me.

Not too bad
I wasn't expecting such a short story. It got right to the point and felt like it fast forwarded a lot. They met, hooked up, then were together forever in 80 pages. I felt like it didn't give me time to get to know the characters or their stories. I love wolf stories but this was way to short to get into. If I'm between books this series will be great to float with because they are just a quick read.

Read this book on a whim and it got me out of a reading slump. xD If you like fast paced romances, this is the book for you. There were a few scenes that were honestly a little too cheesy for me but close to the end of the book I just overlooked them. 😂 If you’re not into fast paced book “I fell in love with you within a few hours” don’t read it. Wouldn’t recommend. If you do like plots like that (or don’t mind it) just..yep. Read it. You’re welcome. 🤪

Both are fans of the old films. From there, they head to Eli's house and hit it off. They discovered they read the same types of books. Eli even discovers Charley is his fated mate and tells her he loves her. This book is a cute and quick read. I highly recommend it.
