In desperation I fell for their lies. Now I have to find a way out before I end up dead ...
Or worse, mated to them.
I was promised a home, and a life I'd always hoped for. Instead, all I found were lies and deception ... and all I ended up with were fated mates I want nothing to do with.
They tell me they're sorry.
They didn't mean for this to happen.
It's going to take a lot more than a few apologies and a mating bond to make me believe again.
Not when they're sworn to serve the cruelest leader of them all ... and the man who's most intent on bringing me to my knees, whether I like it or not.
Pack Mates is the second book in The White Wolf Trilogy. If you like YA/NA wolf shifters, fated mates, rejected mates, angst, and dark romances, then you’ll love this urban fantasy romance! One-click today!
This series touches on some darker themes, so some scenes may not be suitable for all readers.
Pack Mates the 2nd book in The White Wolf Trilogy series. Scarlett (FMC) went through a lot of abuse and hardship in book 1 which spilled over into the beginning of this book. In the course of which Scarlett starts to find out about her mother's heritage and what that could mean to her. A new family member, old and new friends and maybe a new ally. I found book 2 to be a much lighter read (compared to book 1) which gave me a chance to find out more backstory about Scarlett. It was much needed i think. Still this series is going from strength to strength and that cliffhanger ending was outstanding!! This was a great read and im dying for book 3 now
I don’t think I can even finish this book. I’m almost 50% through & it’s just filler info after filler info. No real plot growth, no character growth. Then when Scarlett complains all she wants is information about what’s happening, when people try to give it to her - she acts like a child & won’t let them finish. I don’t generally give up on books or series, but this might be a first for me.
This is not romance. This is not NA. This is plain ol' paranormal YA. That's it. The only way this could be anything else is if it had been longer, more drawn out story that was slow burn. There is no burn, there is no relationship building, no character developments - hell there's barely any world building. Nothing but a childish female lead asking questions no one wants to ever answer. Ever. Even when they're all locked up the 3 other guys are like "omg we'll do anything if you'll forgive us" and she's like "okay answer my questions" and they're like "yes, ask anything we'll tell you" so she asks and she gets nothing, literally. FFS.
This is boring. No mystery, no suspense, no angst, no romance, nothing. So. Freakin. Boring. There's so many loose ends, and NONE of it ever gets addressed. Like if they wanted to keep her safe in the no bit town....why didn't they make it so people liked her there? Who even WERE those people? Do we ever find out? Probably not. Not that I'm going to stick around to find out anyways.
I’m not sure what can be said about reading something that can elicit so much emotion (well rage) that I hurl my phone across the room and break it...probably not my finest hour. But hey I’m passionate about my stories. I make zero apologies. How un-Canadian of me. And I also must confess AW extended an olive branch through a continually amazing storyline and brought me back from the brink of despair. So she’s absolutely forgiven. For now anyway (sharpens claws). So many questions! So few answers, so far. I have screamed myself hoarse. Why? What? Who? Are you kidding me?? I need answers. I need retribution. I need the third book in this series!! But more importantly, I need to go shopping for a better phone case! Bring me the head of AW or better yet, book 3 with all the answers I crave! ☺️❤️☺️
Omg, omg, omg this series is so damn good, I can’t stop reading it. I been reading this book while sitting on the bathroom floor next to the shower. I was supposed to be in the shower two hours ago but I couldn’t put the tablet down, because I am so hooked on these books that I don’t want to stop reading for even a second..
Scarlett was released from the prison her father placed her in. She wasn't free though. Until she was free from the bonds he forced on her, she would never be free. This book was better than the first. There was still a lot of spiralling repeat of questions that never get answered with few context clues.
This is a combination wolf shifting and far book that calls to the inner most turmoil one can through. Having multiple mates and find a line between what she wants and what her destiny is.
This book is well balanced with intrigue, world building, and character development. A perfect book two in a trilogy. Hints of desire but now spicy scenes.
