I never thought I had any weird or amazing destiny.

Until the night I'm scooped up by a clawed and fanged alien called a mauleon.

I'm a grocery store assistant and my name is Isolde.

I should be curled up in a ball sobbing, but that's not me.
I will escape, but I'm trapped on this huge, fossilized starship. My only companion is a snarky, talking sword.

To my shame, something is forcing my body to change and I'm craving his touch.

We are both mutating. His muscles bulge with new growth. Silver streaks mar his skin.

He was supposed to sell me, but I can't stop myself from crawling to him, begging, and whimpering for more.

Why is love always so complicated? And what is this heat...

I'm pinned to the wall by his claws and the world dissolves into a steamy, swaying fog. The panting, gasping, and probing of places seem endless, as do my tormented cries.

This book contains unrestrained compulsions, lionlike aliens, orcs, and adventures that go where no grocery store assistant has gone before.
Also #OrcsOnABus. A yellow bus with HAZARD written on the side, to be exact.

You know, I had heard so much about Cari Silverwood and how dark her stories were. I was excited to read her new omegaverse series and I was expecting something dark and gritty. I feel a little let down, this wasn't as dark or as steamy as I was looking for. It wasn't bad though, it just didn't blow me away.

I liked Gideon and Isolde and all the characters, even the secondary characters. I loved the Orcs and definitely want to see stories with them as the main characters. Gideon was romantic and had sexy moves while playing the long game with Isolde, but there was something about the writing that was throwing everything off. It was disjointed and abrupt and I found myself constantly pulled out of the story because of it. There wasn't a good flow.

I enjoyed the story. I liked this new world we are introduced to, even though there were so many things that weren't fully addressed. Like the mechs and Smorg, Isolde's father, Gideon and Isolde's junk turning blue, or even Isolde's vision of a bloody mess and a mech dragging Smorg to her to name a few.

I just wish the writing style was a little smoother and it was darker and steamier. I mean we had been waiting and everything was building up to Isolde's heat and I was excited thinking "things are about to get crazy" but you just gave us a glossed over mess that only lasted one day. Pfft.

I hope things are better in the next one, and more questions are answered. At least it will be about one of the Orcs. Yay!

My Review

This was really unusual and I liked it a lot here this author takes her Mauleon’s in a new direction with a completely new slant and the concluding result is a fun sci-fi alien abduction omega alpha space opera romance that had lots of humour and snarkiness and plenty of delicious heat. Also my favourite AI wise-cracking sword Smorg makes a repeat appearance which I totally appreciated.

Isolde along with her friend is abducted from Earth finding herself a mark for the far-reaching space organisation Grut. An impulse snatch by her handler her handover comes with some initial red-tape. Her captor is a Mauleon named Gideon who along with Isolde starts to experience strange changes after an unusual purple phenomenon affects them both. Changes that make him rethink his initial decision regarding Isolde’s arranged sale.

Now with Grut wanting their ownership finalised but Gideon refusing to hand her over let the games begin as Grut pulls out all the stops to claim their property. This was filled with a motley group of Orcs and Maelons a snarky sword and an Earth girl who is far more than she initially seems. So much fun and dirty deliciousness resound between these pages. There’s also sweetness a scorching attraction and plenty of emotion.

This was well written and a fresh slant on the whole alpha omega dynamic an enjoyable read that leaves things open for future events the final pages leaving me intrigued for what’s to come in the future. I voluntary reviewed a copy of Warden.

Cari Silverwood sure is on a roll!!!
Giving me not one,not two deliciously hot ARC’s in such a short time feels like it’s not only my birthday, but Christmas too!
The only downside is my water bills…..because of all those cold showers i needed whilst reading them!
I decided it was time to add a shelf:lots of cold showers,it’s one i’m guessing i’ll be needing a lot more with Cari’s stories…..
Warden is the start of a new series that i know are going to be wonderful, and there are already two people i want to hear more of….not to mention a couple of mauleons and a certain orc….or a certain sword!

When Charlotte asked her to arrange a kidnapping,Isolde thought she had everything planned.
Until they were hit by a purple wave thing and were BOTH KIDNAPPED by aliens!
Waking up to the face of the “man” she’d admired in the cafe, she knew they were in deep trouble.
Because Gideon didn’t look human now she saw him up close…..and hearing it confirmed made her fear for their lives.
What did this mauleon want with them…..and where wás Charlotte??

Gideon was supposed to sign her over to the Grut once they’d reached the main ship, but until they decided they actually wanted her,he planned to keep her to himself.
Playing with his little human was a good way to satisfy those urges he felt, and judging by her responses, she liked what he was doing.

Isolde may have liked what Gideon did,but she wasn’t planning on being owned,or experimented on!
But the situation forced her to think of her other options, and at that moment,Gideon sounded like the better one…
He treated her well….ok,she liked how he made her feel….a lot!…..and he tried to give her what she needed.
And he was affected by that purple wave thing the same way she was….so,in a sense they were in this together.

The sword she found while shopping for clothes was something else, and she managed to persuade Gideon to buy it,too.
How Smorg ended up in that shop,i’ll never know, but they were lucky to have him, even if he still kept giving his usual snarky comments, lol

The moment Gideon decided to keep Isolde, was the moment he needed to figure out how.
Not only was there the Grut, but would Isolde wánt to stay with him?
How could he convince her,and how could he keep her without the Grut coming after them?
His friends were more than willing to help….
So….did Isolde want to stay with him?
And would the Grut allow it once they found out exactly who and what she was??

This was such a deliciously hot story to read!
Even with his darker intentions,Gideon was a good guy and wanted to keep his little not so human safe from harm.
And Isolde was a girl that had spunk, that was ready to fight for what she wanted.

This bit here,at the end of the blurb, says it all.
Cari delivered every little bit of that, and i loved it!!!

This book contains unrestrained compulsions, lionlike aliens, orcs, #OrcsOnaBus, and adventures that go where no grocery store assistant has gone before.

This is a dark-ish romance but the evil Hero decided to be mostly nice, as well as a growling, dominant hunk, with claws.

I nodded. It did seem crazy. And a few days ago, I was sitting in a café discussing kink with Charlotte. I wasn’t ruling out an apocalypse or a flash flood of killer bees or ice cream any time soon.

With the exception of Rough Surrender this is probably the sweetest story the author has written. I'm sure she'd object vociferously to the word "sweet", and rightly so, but given how dub-con and dark most of her work is this felt quite light in comparison. It also felt incredibly hot and smutilicious, with smexy times that will have you getting through a bumper pack of AA batteries, *wink wink*. Great writing, fabulous characters and a wonderful plot all add up to one crazy good read.

Gideon is one seriously gorgeous Mauleon and despite the fact that he started off as very much the bad guy, what with kidnapping Earth girls and the like, he soon earned his redemption, proving himself to be an absolute delightful hero - blue nodules and all. Isolde was just as wonderful a main character, slightly mad, utterly submissive, determinedly strong and full of fire. She was definitely a girl who made lemonade from the lemons of life. This pair utterly captivated me, we see them grow and adapt to the changes in their lives set against a backdrop of mystery, intrigue and the fight against bureaucracy.

As already mentioned, this features the much loved leonine Mauleon male. It does, however, read standalone and is set in space rather than the home planet, featured in Ruled, Condemned and Judged: A Dark Sci-fi Romance. As well as a lust-fuelled, kinky romance there is also the ubiquitous quest to undertake, in this case the pursuit of personhood. This is one packed-to-the-gills adventure involving sentient swords, #OrcsOnABus, Wendetta's, hiding in lost storage rooms with lost storage container lids and sex.

They had arranged a bus. A big yellow bus. Here I was, in a line of ferociously armed orcs, with weapons strapped to every part of them, waiting to board a bus. About the only thing I agreed with about this was the black cross-hatching down the side with HAZARD written on the yellow bits. The axes they dragged and carried, those I could not assimilate. They were just plain wrong.

There were some amazing supporting characters who ALL need their own books, *ahem* Jinx, Hark, Kragga, Charlotte... *ahem*. In this one purple singularities generated courtesy of Grut lead to some unexpected (well unexpected for the "victims") consequences. Those consequences lead to sexual compulsions, sexual adaptations and sexual adventures. There were probably other things too but I was slightly distracted by the nooky.

Whenever I looked at him, a frisson possessed me, as if I’d connected to a mildly live cable. I had to ban myself from dragging my gaze over him, non-stop. He was deliciously handsome, rugged, and made my girly hormone engine rev into overdrive. And I was pretty certain my brakes weren’t working, and my tires were on fire. Phew.

If you are looking for 🔥 this one is 5+ flames!

The romance is meh. The storyline is a little lacking. BUT if you are looking for a read that is FULL of erotic scenes and mouth watering MC. Just grab this little book and lock your door.....maybe have a toy or two handy 😉

Happy reading,

I liked this one more than I thought I would. I'm not normally a fan of cat people/aliens, but it was done well in this book, imo. I liked both the characters and enjoyed the fact that the whole relationship was more by choice. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I loved the thought of orcs in space.

It's mauleons meet omegaverse and finish in a space opera. It sounds like it would be a lot and not fit together, but the fact is, this book really does fit together well. I feel like it's very much the beginning of an omegaverse, at the moment where the universe is going to go from the normal to omegaverse, if that makes sense.

I like Isolde, most of the time. I really liked watching her struggles and how to figure out who she was in this new world, what she wanted, and if she was going to let herself take it. There were a couple of times when I just wanted to slap her silly, but overall, I thought she was a good character.

Gideon was definitely not like anyone would expect, I think. I guess I tend to think of the mauleons as more barbarians, probably because of the last mauleon book I read, but Gideon wasn't like that. I mean, don't get me wrong, there is very much a barbarian aspect to him, but there was also almost a more scholarly aspect to him, if that makes sense.

Anyway, I can't wait to see if we find out more about Charlotte and Jinx.

3.5 - 4 stars!

Warden is the first book in the Ravaged series and features Isolde and Gideon. Isolde and her friend are kidnapped from Earth and are to be given to Grut, the elite intergalactic organization that has plans for them. Gideon is the one that kidnaps Isolde and when the two of them are affected by a purple light, the two of them start changing and becoming attached to each other. Gideon decides he wants Isolde for himself but Grut is still on their tales and will stop at nothing to claim Isolde as their property. Can Gideon claim Isolde as his and save her? What does Isolde think of all of this considering she has been completely uprooted from everything she knows?

So this was an interesting read and a different approach to an Omegaverse and the Alpha/Omega bond. I liked the world building and the fact that there were different characters introduced...Orcs, Maelons, etc. This story was good but my main problem with it was that I got bored in some places which left me skimming just a bit. I didn't feel very invested with any of the characters, including Isolde and Gideon. The steam factor was delicious; however, I was expecting it to be a little darker...maybe? Smorg, the sword, definitely stole the show for me in this story and I am looking forward to continuing this series despite not absolutely loving this one.

They're back - a Mauleon, a sword, and the mech's that is - and this time with a battalion of Orc's on a bus
I know - can you believe it?

This has so many of my favorite creations? from previous series as well as some new ones

Isolde is just having one of those lifetimes and then suddenly bam! A purple light, a scary alien, and life as she knows it has just been flipped on its assxis(aware of the spelling)

This is the start of a new SciFi sorta A/O series
It has all the heart-pounding action you expect from Silverwood as well as plenty of humor dusted with mounds of titillating oversized alien bits 😋

Enjoy!

I never thought I’d be into captive alien books with very light bdsm play...who am I kidding? Of course I would be! This world is crazy creative with homes made from scrapped cars and little robots running around. Isolde is into kink but she never thought setting up a scene for her friend would get them kidnapped and taken off world. Gideon is an alpha hot alien pirate whose mission is to target humans for some weird alien experiments. It all seems scary with their strange language and orcs and aliens with tentacles roaming around. But it’s so addictive. And fantastic. I forgot to mention steamy. So freaking HOT. Great suspense and twists. I need more!

Change is in the air

Such an amazing story! The heat is absolutely fantastic, but the story is really the highlight of this book. I love the characters! They are thrust into a change they didn’t ask for, and aren’t sure they want, but they make a wonderful couple as they struggle through to their HEA. And the group they have surrounded themselves with are fun, fierce and exciting. The story is intense and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I love the hidden layers that slowly get revealed, and the hints of more to come have me desperate for the next installment. This was my first experience with this author, but it will not be the last. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this brand new world of awakening alphas and omegas.

This is my first omega-verse book, and I have to say I'm not a fan. But I am a big fan of CS, so if you like her writing and you like the omega-verse setting, you'll love this book.

The writing style and sexual tension is first rate, but I had trouble with the fated-mate aspect. Also, I was expecting something a bit kinkier, or darker.

I appreciate authors who explore different sub-genres, and I'll be reading more CS soon.

Mauleons, Mechlings, Mysteries, and So Much More!!

I can’t begin to express how much I LOVE this book. Ms. Silverwood really pulled out all the stops with this story. Take your pick because it has something for everyone. She has given us sci-fi tech with mechlings, humor in the form of a snarky sword called Smorg, Orcs with huge battle axes, Mauleons with fangs & claws, a heroine you can’t help but root for, and so much more!!

Gideon and his Orc friend Hark are on earth to complete a mission involving taking a female human for a government agency known as Grut. Unfortunately, Isolde happens to be friends with Charlotte, the target in question. After a staged kidnapping for pleasure that Isolde arranged goes wrong, they find themselves captives of Gideon and Hark heading into space to rendezvous with the mothership Filthy Lucre.

This is where our story gets interesting. Gideon, Hark, Isolde, and Charlotte were all exposed to a purple flash while on earth that has affected them in some way. Gideon and Isolde find they are attracted to each other and have difficulty understanding the changes taking place and struggle with each other. Hark and Charlotte have issues of their own. Something doesn’t feel right to Gideon and Hark about this latest mission and they want answers plus Isolde wants to know what happened to her friend Charlotte.

As our trio dig further into the mystery surrounding their mission, their paths will cross with various intriguing characters with agendas of their own. Throughout their adventure, Gideon and Isolde have to find a way to work together as well as coming to terms with what is going on between them.

Warden is a fantastic read from start to finish. Once again, Ms. Silverwood takes the reader on a journey inside her creative mind and shares her sense of humor, (especially the scenes in the CoLC), her love of all things sci-fi, her ability to weave a suspenseful plot, and SMOKIN’ HOT SEX!!

There is sooo much more to Warden than just a love story. I can’t begin to explain everything that happens and I wouldn’t if I could. It is a roller coaster ride that I didn’t want to end. It is more than just a book, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss!! I cannot wait to read the next book and see where Ms. Silverwood takes us next. I highly recommend reading Warden, you won’t be disappointed. Ms. Silverwood continues to amaze me with every book release and I find myself more in love with her writing each and every day.

One thing that I am always guaranteed when it comes to this author is something uniquely her own. Not many authors can do what she does. Her world-building is always top-notch and she can make things that are illogical seem like an everyday occurrence. That was completely this book in a nutshell.

I first discovered this author with her darker works followed by my favorite Steamwork Chronicles and that is my go-to generally when it comes to her work. I tend to not enjoy her books that are a bit snarkier or have dry humor in them, however, the blurb of this one intrigued me. I am glad that I gave it a try because I found myself enjoying it more than I had even anticipated.

This is not a dark read, although one could argue that kidnapping is a dark theme, seeing that this is an alien romance and not something that is conventional, it seems more plausible than how someone snatching up someone to live in another part of the world would be dark. I won't give away spoilers or a synopsis of the story because the blurb pretty much sums it up. Just go into this blind and enjoy that things are going to be very different, in all aspects, than what one would normally experience. Enjoy this author and her being able to craft something illogical and make it seem fun, exciting, and logical.

And a very special hello to my favorite sword.

Ahh I loved this new omega verse book

Cari Silverwood can write the most descriptive of worlds and she doesn’t disappoint in Warden. It is set in the Omega verse world complete with hot alphas, steamy storylines, and a rocking omega. Did I mention the Orcs? Definitely, can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Fantastic story with tons of hilarious moments!

I really enjoyed Gideon and Isolde’s out of this world story! It was filled with action, suspense, drama, hilarity and utterly sexy moments. This is definitely a story that will keep you fully captivated and melting from all of the scorching heat between the characters. It’s entertaining and exciting to read.

I can’t wait for more in this exciting world.

Sci-fi that's dirty not a dirty story with sci-fi elements

This is dirty sci-fi written by someone who knows dirty AND sci-fi, but it's science fiction that's dirty rather than a dirty story with some science fiction elements. There IS a difference.

A good example is how the aliens' unfamiliarity with Earth lingo allows the author to explain things to readers (like BDSM terminology) without intrusive info dumps or clumsy exposition that bogs down the story.

As with the rest of the books in this universe, there's excellent world building and detail--plus scorching-hot explicit sex that can be on the darker/edgier side of book BDSM. Keep that in mind if that sort of thing makes you squeamish.

Author Cari Silverwood has written her first omegaverse story, and in her true fashion, it's nothing like any other books in the same genre. Even when she says she's writing in a genre she can't help but make the story uniquely hers. The bad part is that true fans are going to complain that it really isn't omegaverse. But is that really a bad thing? She's such a brainy author with a huge vocabulary, and when you read this delightful space opera and try to compare it to other omegaverse, she's likely to blow a raspberry right at you. The greatest thing about her books is the fact that she writes unapologetically. This is what was in her head so she wrote it!

So we have Charlotte and Isolde, friends on Earth who get mixed up in a kidnap scheme by aliens. Before she knows it, Isolde wakes up on a ship and learns she's been sold. Charlotte is nowhere to be seen. Isolde's kidnapper Gideon suddenly has a strange attraction to her, as well as an eerie event. As much as he needs to bring Isolde to her new owner, he's fascinated by her...even more so when he realizes that Isolde feels the same way about him. This brings us to political warfare, as Gideon doesn't want to give her up. This is the big question: Why the attraction? Author Silverwood leaves nothing easy for the reader. I loved every character, and adored the way she straddles the good/bad line with so many of them. It's too easy to indicate if a character is good or bad. It's harder to make you wonder, or watch a character grow, or even decide that you like them whether they are a little of both!

I'm a huge sucker for a good description and Author Silverwood is a pro. She creates these pictures in my mind as I read, and I feel like I'm right there. And even the minor characters get details.

"The closer ones showed numbers, labels, scrawled graffiti and ship tattoos. Some of those were wardog claims of conquest: red skulls on dark hull-strips or rows of explosion splashes. Many of these ships were antiques. They functioned though, and that was all any spacehead asked of them."

"Isolde gasped and turned on the spot, staring heavenward—if there was such a thing—at the fiery and pearlescent dome. Blurred puffs of flames appeared to lick at the distant structure. “Wow!”“That’s the radiation bombardment hitting the dome. Our wormhole-skipping travel creates that. Dangerous if you’re out there. Safer in here.” Though not perfectly so. From the large central pond, a tide of floating blossoms and separated petals drifted higher. Glowing islands formed where pink and effervescent red bumped one another. Particles broke away to rise even higher. A hundred yards overhead, a film of see-through blue petals bobbed where the flowers tapped the thick dome."

I won't spoil it, but I cackled obnoxiously when I realized a well loved character from a previous book made an entrance. There was so much laugh out loud humor!

"The aliens had definitely been watching us for a long time. I held up a book. “Bloopers from Earth: From Area 51 to Voyager. Seriously? Don’t you lot have better things to do?”
Gideon grinned and shrugged. “I prefer this one.” He tapped the cover. How to probe your Human.
“Ewww. No.”"

"“And pray to the gods we don’t get spotted by any humans and have to do that blinky-blink to make them forget? Like in that Earth movie you showed last night.”
“If only we had one of those blinky-blink things.”
“Or a sonic screwdriver,” Hark said somberly. “Though we are wearing black, Gids.” He pretended to unfurl a banner in the air behind the windshield. “I can see it: Orc and Mauleon in Black.”"

This story is chock full of wonderful names of things too, and I giggled more than once. The big mother ship is called the "Filthy Lucre" (dirty money), Gideon's ship is the "Burning Chaos", a shop is called "Kagglio's Shop of Everything" and the bar they go to "the Blood & Guts", among other notable names. Author Silverwood has a great imagination, as well as sense of humor.

Author Silverwood wrote some truly inspired prose in this memorable ride she wrote about. Some of my favorite lines that happen to describe Gideon:

"Rough callouses and that scent of whispered temptation."
"This close, this intimate, there was a hypnotic quality to his beautiful regard. Those eyes were swimming cerulean seas."

It's that kind of smooth writing and humor that helped put me under the spell of this story. The ending is absolutely unexpected, and I loved it. The book ends with a happily ever after for now, and you do get some insight into the next book. I implore you to give this wild, buddy-friendly love story the attention it deserves.

Mauleons, orcs, and talking swords?!?😜

** 3.5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 **
This story is written within the same universe (maybe?!) as the Mauleons in her other books, but there are Orcs and other aliens all in this giant planet-shaped mothership (think Death Star but less Stormtroopers😜). As part of a merc mission Gideon, a Mauleon merc, goes out to collect the 'sample' the Grut is requesting. Before Isolde and her friend can be collected, a strange purple light stalks across the sky twice beginningand that's just the beginning of the crazy.

What started as a simple job has now turned into a unexplained need and complication, one that neither Gideon nor Isolde can deny - there's no way he can hand Isolde over to Grut for sampling. As the race against time, they find that it isn't just them fighting against paperwork and bureaucracy; it's against themselves as they each have to decide if they are going to fight the draw towards one another or give in.

I usually love Ms. Silverwood's stories. I really liked this one up until the end when I felt like somethings that were important in the beginning kinda were left hanging and then were remembered as unresolved so had to have a quick fix. It left a sour taste in my mouth. How could Isolde, who acted so gung-ho about saving her friend in the beginning, completely forget about her after getting knotted. She doesn't even concern herself with her friend again until the end. It's almost like 'Oops, oh yeah, where is she again? I must have misplaced her'. I once again really liked the book but near the end, Isolde's actions from when they land on Gruxhyde (forgive me, I know I spelled this planet name wrong😶) to the end are just dubious and like her character throughout the story. Despite this I do look forward to the next book as it was entertaining to see where this new element to Silverwood's universe fits.

A wonderful read, alien abduction and a great combination of characters and scenario

This was a simply fantastic read that I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it was simply amazing to read about these two females that had simply been going about their night planning a rendezvous with a twist in a coffee shop when they were not aware they were being overlooked by two aliens.

Isolde and Gideon had an almost instant attraction from the moment that he had seen her and decided that they were going to collect more than the number of humans required for testing as they had been sent to earth to do. Instead, he had decided that he was also going to take her there was just a strange attraction between him and he wanted to know what was happening.

Waking up on the spaceship with the various Mauleon’s and other aliens around the women were being herded to various locations, they had been fitted with a device on her back like a spider that translated the various languages.

Then they believe that the attraction they are both feeling is possibly due to the Torn but the effect is so dramatic and quick and the way that it is affecting Gideons size and Isolde’s sexuality is not the norm, even the science people on the ship are perplexed.

Read this wonderful book and follow this story and the interaction of the characters you will be totally held in its spell.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Warden (Ravaged #1) by Cari Silverwood was a great 5+ star read.

We start with Isolde planning an abduction fantasy for her friend. The arrangements have been made and she will observe until it happens. But….little does she realize that there is someone lurking that has plans for both of them.

Gideon and his partner take both Isolde and her friend and bring them back to be handed over. However, there is something about Isolde that is different and the intensity between her and Gideon is off the charts. He had made arrangements to hand her over but due to some unexplained changes he decided he wasn’t ready to give her up. Which doesn’t go over well with Grut. Will Gideon give her up? Will he get answers to his questions?

Overall this was an amazing read. We get so many great out of this world characters. We get suspense, steamy scenes, danger and so much more. I have to say I fell for Gideon myself, this character had a large personality among other things. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I can’t wait to see what is coming next in this series. If you're looking for a great read that pulls you in then I highly suggest this one. 1-click and get started today.

This was an ARC reading for me, but my review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

Warden is such a great addition to the Cari Silverwood library! I'm a fan of the mauleons already from previous books, but watching that blend of omegaverse also emerge was fantastic. The characters were deep and engaging and the sass and heat between Isolde and Gideon was fun to read. The only bad part as that I was enjoying one of the other characters more. I love Smorg! I remember it form her previous books fondly and had no idea it would come up in this book too, like some secret Easter egg that filled me with amused excitement.

I also found the mechlings adorable and fun, and really, it's great that I like so many of the secondary characters as much or more then her mains. It means there's a non stop buffet of action, humor, and activity and I'm never bored.

Cari is so gifted with world building. It feels very natural, even deep in a space opera style romance, and far too realistic. You feel like you're there with the characters on their ships and stations hurtling through the void. I highly recommend this to all fans of her work, and really anyone who enjoys Omegaverse!

I enjoyed reading this book of many scenarios. Isolde and her friend Charlotte are abducted by aliens as a bright purple blast of light appears and Isolde and her abductor Gideon seem to be affected by the light. Gideon and Isolde seem to have a strong attraction to each other that doesn't seem natural or make sense to them, but they will learn eventually that it has to do with an alpha/omega phenominon. We get Mauleons, Orcs, a Huleon human/ mauleon cross, Grut, the ruling organization and an old friend from a previous story, Smorg, the talking sword. Everyone seems to serve double duty as friends, lovers helpers, skilled, usefull or scary skills. Of course there's hot, irrisistable sex for our main characters. There is just so much going on, it's impossible to describe all the ups and downs, questions and vague answers. We do not get to see Charlotte in the story after the beginning, until the end where something very dangerous and mysterious happens. Now, I have to wait for Ravaged

Wow, what an exhilarating, fun read by Ms. Silverwood. In her latest book we are once again thrust into a fantastical alien universe filled with an array of extraterrestrials, mechanical creatures, spaceships, a snarky talking sword(I missed you Smorg), and a bureaucratic agency that seems to control pretty much everything. There is also a puzzling mystery to solve, plenty of intrigue and danger, Orcs ready for battle, a sexy Mauleon(aren’t they all), and a clever, resourceful woman.
This is their story. Gideon, the protective, sexy, demanding Mauleon who is unexplainably attracted to Isolde, the woman he abducted from Earth. I can’t believe I’m going to use this word to describe a Cari Silverwood book but I am. Sweet, this I think, is a sweet love story. I mean it’s filled with a ton of danger, humour and of course a good amount of hot, filthy, dirty sex, but in a sweeter way than is usual for this author.
I loved this story, can’t wait for the next one in this series and I definitely recommend.
And if I’m ever going to be abducted by an alien, please, please let it be a Mauleon.

I am always ready to read a story from Cari Silverwood. I can't wait to see where she is going to be taking us in her stories. When I saw that she was going to dip her toes into the omegaverse universe with this one I couldn't wait to read it. As always she doesn't disappoint. Her ability to take the reader on this trip in her books to where you can see the world she has made and almost touch it. The characters are there you can see every detail just as she describes. She never seems to disappoint. She has a wicked sense of humor and it comes across in this book. As you are reading you find yourself laughing and then turn the page and she has you looking for a fan from the hot sex she has written. I recommend this book to everyone. If Cari Silverwood is new to you this is a must-read. This is Book 1 of Ravaged Series. If you have read this author before you will not want to miss this one. Bravo Cari Bravo. Can not wait for the next one.

4.5 Stars
Warden: A fated mates sci-fi romance is the first book in this new series A Ravaged Romance. This is Cari Silverwood in her element of writing and building her universe. This is Isolde and Gideon’s story.

Gideon has come to Earth to collect Human samples for Grut. Sephone was the human he came to collect but he collects something for himself too, Isolde (Sephone’s best friend).

Gideon Tresk is a Mauleon (99% human) and Isolde has a genetic aberration. Isolde finds out she is actually a Huleon (a cross between a human and a mauleon).

I love the way that Cari Silverwood thinks. She writes with a strange sense of humor and she had me laughing at some of the descriptions. Like Gideon had “fang envy” and even tentacles made their way into this story.

Warden was actually one of Ms. Silverwood’s lighter books and another one that I enjoyed reading.

I really loved this book. It wasn't dark. It was on the sweeter side though it wasn't sickening sweet and it wasn't insta-love... thank god! There were a lot of funny parts in this story... but I wouldn't class it as a rom-com either which I can't stand. It just somehow all worked for me to make it a very very interesting read even though I'm not sure how I would classify it.

I was glad at the end to see that there would be another book coming in this series. I so can't wait for it. I'm actually hoping its gonna be about Charlotte and Hark. Or at the very least we find out more about what has happened to Charlotte. I'm also highly intrigues about these "powers" these omegas have... do all the omegas have them? Just some of them? What has Charlotte done? I have so many more questions and need more answers!

Oh man give me a sexy Mauleon and let's call it a day swoon. This book was so freaking good it had the right amount of every kind of lil thing you find in one this arthurs book's..smexiness, dark, mauleons, orcs, hot af sex scenes, someone always trying to kill someone to take over, scifi what more could a girl want. I've read several of this arthurs book's and have yet to find one I didn't love this one is no different. This is just the 1st book and there was so much going on and question's that I don't want to mention because they'll give some thing's away. I do want to say how I loved that smorg is back in the picture🤣.
This is absolutely a must read, but don't take my word for it go grab it and find out for yourself.

Warden was amazing. Giving us different subgenres within the sci fi romance realm, it was everything I’ve come to expect from Cari Silverwood and more. I loved the dipping of toes in the Omegaverse and it was marvelous. The mauleon-human team of Gideon and Isolde. The suspense elements. The mechlings. I LOVE the mechlings, so very much. Then of course, there’s all the humor that only Ms. Silverwood could pull off. I could go on, giving you a long list of all the good things about this story but suffice to say, it’s the author who can turn these ingredients into a tasty recipe for great storytelling that will leave you wanting more. Very much recommended.
