Richard Fierce is a fantasy author with a passion for storytelling that dates back to his childhood. He first ventured into publishing in 2007 and hasn’t looked back since. His books are filled with dragons, adventure, and the kind of epic journeys that transport readers to new worlds.
In 2000, Richard was named Poet of the Year for his poem The Darkness, and his love for literature extends beyond just writing—he co-founded the Acworth Book Festival in Georgia to help bring authors and readers together. Though he originally worked in retail, he eventually transitioned to the tech industry, balancing his career with his writing.
Richard lives in Northwest Georgia with his family and a lively mix of pets, including four dogs (huskies!). He often jokes that his house feels like a zoo, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
His love for fantasy started in high school when he was gifted a copy of Dragons of Spring Dawning by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman—a book that sparked a lifelong love for dragons and epic quests.
Whether he’s writing about dragon riders, lost civilizations, or ancient prophecies, Richard Fierce continues to craft stories that pull readers into unforgettable adventures.
Fiiiiinally we're gaining a story here! Granted, this 3rd Fierce story is only getting one extra ⭐ from me. It's better than the 1st two. Mina must prove she can be trained as a warrior in order to convince the Dragon Enclave to give up their plans to make war with the humans. Not all humans are bad afterall! Sheesh. While she is being tested with her bonded dragon, her friend Caiden is doing the same. What happens when they meet again?
🎧 Audio Review: Highly recommend the audiobooks for this series, especially because of the dragons! 😍
📝 Story Review: This is an episodic style series and every book has been a 5 star thus far. Two more books to go!
Mina is with the dragons now and learning how to be a warrior. Meanwhile, the MMC is in a kingdom where the ruler is treacherous and experimenting on people and dragons alike. He’s been tasked with retrieving a gemstone that can release a dragon that the ruler has had trapped in a cave for some time. But getting the gemstone from the ruler isn’t as easy as one might think, not when dark magic is at play. And in this kingdom, it’s hard to know who to trust.
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5

in this installment Mina learns to fight with a sword and shoot arrows and use a bow on Dragon back. She stays with the dragons and learns "Copper"'s true name since he promised to tell her once he trusts her. His True Name is Gedrith and she is his bonded rider. After a battle with sand worms, and arrig killing the Worm King Mina goes back to Lord Klodian's keep to tell him what is going on with other Lord's in the realm.
My enthusiasm for this series is waning. The books are getting shorter and shorter, and the characters, despite some promise, never develop any depth. This series is simply a quick read with a story line that is catchy enough to see how it ends. If you're looking for superficial and quick, this series is your ticket.
This is definitely getting good. A nice read for a YA series. I'm excited for the final book. The main character has definitely changed from a whiner to someone whose becoming a heroine. I love the main Dragon 🐉
This series has been enjoyable. I'm listening to the audiobooks which are fantastic. We follow the 2 paths of Mina and Caden. Both have found themselves in positions they never anticipated. Adventure, magic and dragons at their best.
It's a little wooden at times, and the plot gets a little thin. By the end, I had to grind my way through the final chapters. I liked the first book and bought the series. I'm am hoping beyond hope it gets better.
The storylines are getting more complex now. There are lots more dragons and people using magic even though it is forbidden. Our three heroes are busy trying to do everything needed to stop D'Lance.
I loved this book I just wished it went on longer. I did enjoy the series of books. If you love dragons and adventures you will enjoy this book but you must follow the series of books.
An excellent and intriguing book about dragons and their mythical bonded humans full of adventure. along with Dragons and mutilated. other species of creatures
