Dreamhaven Duet #2

The Tyrant Prince

Rate this book
Paige

They told me he was dead. That Oliver was never coming back to me. It wasn't a lie.

The boy who had given me all of himself no longer existed. In his place, stood a man who didn't even leave tiny cracks in his heart which could be filled with love.

He could destroy me all he wanted with his hatred. But this time, I was going to make sure that someone saved him. Someone who would remind him that life was so much more than the darkness he had buried himself in.

..

Oliver

They took everything from me. Ripped into my soul like savages until all I was left with were shattered dreams of a life that could have been.

But I found something to replace the loss.

Something that kept me alive when I wanted to give up. Something that tasted bitter but was more faithful than anything else I had ever known.

The fire of retribution. It burned through me every second.

And now...they were all going to burn with me.

...

'The Tyrant Prince' is Book 2 of the Dreamhaven Duet and cannot be read as a standalone. Contains graphic sex and violence along with sensitive themes which could be triggering for some. Reader discretion is advised.

I. Am. Not. Okay. The first book wasn’t the best. It was sad, torturous, not written the best, and felt rushed overall. That continued with this book and I got the sense that I was literally being tortured for the sake of it. Not a fan of that.

Oliver, having learned to speak whilst being fucking tortured in prison for eight years, is now free and ready to exact his revenge on any and everyone who fucked his life up. Paige, on the flip side, is NOT living her best life. She’s in a friendship marriage (curveball alert) with Rhys, and dependent on pills and her father’s good graces.

When these two come back together it’s in the most jumbled way. Paige has flipped from being the bullying bitch she was raised to be, to being a complete doormat and a slave to her all of a sudden reinstated desires, to the point that I rolled my eyes and was just completely unimpressed. The chemistry between the two of them was nonexistent, and I hated 75% of the book. Maybe hated is a strong word. But strongly dislike doesn’t fit the bill either? I don’t know.

And then Paige “got hers” and I was like COME THE FUCK ON!!!! Now it’s just for shock value and to fuck with us even more. I will say, Oliver for the last 20% of the book was lovely, and I kind of liked Paige at the end? That’s as strong as my lukewarm feelings get. So yeah. Off I go to read something quick and cozy to cleanse my brain and heart.

"I. Regret. Nothing."

The Tyrant Prince by Zee Shine Storm is book 2 in the Dreamhaven Duet and you MUST READ book 1 The Stable Boy first, to begin Oliver and Paige's journey.

Years have passed, and Oliver and Paige have changed. Big time. This is essentially Oliver's story. It is not a love story. It's tale of loss and betrayal and abuse and revenge and death and retribution and redemption. And yes, love.

I don't want to drop any spoilers, but I will just say - how much hell can two people endure without breaking?! This is tough reading at times and there are several triggers BUT push through. These two have to fight through hell for their happiness, but the rollercoaster is worth it.

If there is more to come in this series, I AM HERE FOR IT.

4 gut-wrenching ✨✨✨✨

Can't put my finger on it, but it needed more. Felt like some scenes needed to be fleshed out more and it ended too quickly. I understand this was more about Oliver than a romance book, but I wanted to see/feel more between Oliver and Paige. But overall, very good followup book to the first one.

Show no mercy.

After reading The Stable Boy, I was so ready for The Tyrant Prince, ready for Oliver to get his revenge. I wasn't exactly sure how this story would unfold though, and I was definitely thrown a few surprises along the way.

Like the first book in the Dreamhaven Duet, this story is sometimes difficult to read. The torture and brutality that Oliver has survived is absolutely heartbreaking, but it only makes you better understand his need for vengeance. That desire...the desire to make those that ruined him pay for what they've done...that's the only thing that has kept Oliver alive. He never wanted to become a tyrant, a monster. They made him one.

Going into this story, I honestly wasn't sure how I would feel about Paige. I was so angry with her, yet I could feel her torment, and I honestly couldn't completely blame her for her actions either. She was also taught to be a villain.

Although I didn't feel that The Tyrant Prince was quite as emotionally draining as The Stable Boy, it still took an emotional toll. What these characters go through (not just Oliver), is devastating in so many ways. There are definitely some serious triggers in this book for sensitive readers, but some of the most brutal scenes were the most necessary to truly tell Oliver's story. I loved the new relationships that were formed in this book, and I appreciated the twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Although the book went in a direction that I never really expected, it only added to the underlying story of hope, dedication, and compassion. All of it just made me love Oliver even more.

This is a devastatingly beautiful duet. Oliver's story will definitely be one of my top reads of this year and it's one that I will never forget.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

Honestly, I still didn’t really like Paige at the end of this book 🙈 Oliver though was utter perfection in both parts of this duet. The love he has for his family (both biological and found) is beautiful.

And dudes with knives are fucking hot ok?!

This is the second book in the Dreamhaven duet by Zee and it was incredible. It follows on from The Stable Boy which was one of the most hard hitting, heartbreaking books I’d read. I was so excited to read this and see the conclusion to Oliver & Paige’s story.

Zee has asked her arc readers to give no spoilers so I can’t go into too much detail but lemme just say.. boy do we see a different side to our Oliver in this! Our shy stable boy has certainly grown up 🥵 he was dominating, callous and cold but deep down he was still the loving and caring boy we knew.

And Paige.. her character arc was flawlessly executed. I didn’t know how she could redeem herself from her behaviour in the first book but somehow it was managed and she was a completely different and much more likeable woman in this.

Yet another absolutely unreal book by this author. I haven’t been disappointed by one of her books yet and I can’t see that I ever will be. If you haven’t started this duet yet, I can’t recommend enough. It is dark and does have triggers but it’s a beautifully written story with exceptional representation of disabilities.

Let me start off by saying...I'm obsessed with this book, I physically couldn't put it down, it was impossible, you couldn't take it away from me if you tried.

Zee Shine Storm is a force to be reckoned with, I will forever read everything you come out with and I am sure to love it! This book, obviously, is no exception, because I absolutely loved it. it's such an amazing transition from the first book, I love Oliver even more in the second book, and I really liked the character in The Stable Boy. Also, Leo??? I need his story oh so very badly...and if I'm thinking he ends up with who I think he ends up with, I cannot wait!!

I will reiterate (as if you haven't had enough of my praise), love the author, love her books, go read them, you'll feel all the emotions, the ending was fantastic and was done with such care and love for the characters, and you can feel it, and I'm just so grateful to have read it. ❤️

Thank you so much to the author for proving me free copies of the first and second book for my honest opinions!! Go read this duet everyone! Check TWs first, my friends!

As soon as i reached the end of The Stable Boy I instantly started looking forward to this second installment! I picked this book up as soon as i could and got back into the Dreamhaven world! It had my attention right away.

Oliver and Paige's journey continues! I wasn't sure what all to expect going into this installment which got me into it even more! Once again, this story and it's characters brought out my emotions!

With The Tyrant Prince, Ms.Storm has created a good read! This duet is dark and there are triggers you can find out more about in the synopsis. I can't wait to pick up more of her books in the near future!

~Combined review for both books (the complete duet) ~

The idea of this story was so unique that I was almost spellbound by the blurb to just read it.

And I loved the first book. Oliver was just so goddamn precious that you want to hug him and not let go. His situation made me emotional but also brought this justified rage into my heart. He was a character that you can't help but root for.... but also know that he's going to suffer and you can't help him.
Paige was a fickle, bitchy, rich brat and a bully and she was so off the rails with her manipulation that I kind of loved it. It was what I expected from this book and from Paige.

But....I also expected a strong redemption arc in the next book to make up for all of Paige's horrible BS.
I didn't get that. Or maybe I did get it but not enough. I wasn't satisfied with what little she suffered while my baby Oliver was suffering even more than someone ever should.

But it wasn't just that the redemption didn't satisfy me. It was the fact the she didn't seem to really change at all. I could see glimpses of the same fickle, bullying Paige underneath all the guilt she had buried herself under to become a victim. And that just pissed me off.

Her self righteous attitude about Oliver's vengeance quest made me absolutely want to strangle her. She was all...he's destroying himself by getting his hands bloody and I will lose my sweet Oliver.
I wanted to tell her "Honey, sit you sorry ass down and for once realize that something is not about YOU". 😪

Still loved Oliver in book 2 but Paige really didn't deserve him.

I will just pretend that Oliver got together with Leo instead of Paige and they live happily ever after.

I hate this book so much I want to scream.

This book came with plenty of trigger warning but none of them prepared me for this. It was downright brutal, and I (pardon my speech) fucking hated it.

I’ll probably NEVER read a book by this author ever again!!!!

Emotionally Devastating

I read the Stable Boy first. Let me just say that I don't read books like either of these. There are far too many triggers for me given my past of both child abuse and molestation/rape. I steer clear of books like this because it brings up emotions that I've long kept locked in a deep, dark part of my mind.

But something about the Stable Boy called to me. I became... invested. I wanted so badly for Oliver to find his peace and vengeance.

I knew going into this book would be a difficult journey. I knew I'd cry. I read the first book in less than three hours. I couldn't do that with this book. It hurt too much. I had to stop halfway through to breathe because I felt like my heart had been ripped open and put into a blender.

The characters are so carefully crafted, so beautifully damaged, that not falling in love with them is impossible. Feeling their pain isn't controllable. It will happen.

I had a difficult time finishing. But I did it because I owed it to Oliver and Paige to do it. I felt like I had to be strong for them.

And I'm glad I did because the ending was beautiful. After so many twists and turns, the ending was what it should have been from the beginning. Everyone got exactly what they deserved, but I still find myself a little... uh... broken.

Without giving anything away, I will say this... What happened to one of the characters at the end was truly heartbreaking and devastating to me. I thought it was harsh given all this person had gone through. I understand why it happened and would never fault the author for writing it the way she did. You have to feel what you write. But to me... It wasn't deserved.

While others won't agree with me, and will hate everything about this book, I still give this book all the stars in the sky plus those not born yet. It's worth the read. It's worth the emotions. It's my favorite duet I've ever read. Which is seriously high praise coming from me. Everyone who knows me knows how picky I am with what I read.

Incredible work. Please keep it up. The world needs authors like you.

ARC for review

When the first book 'The Stable Boy' came out, I honestly went into it with no expectations because I hadn't read anything from the author prior.

All I knew was that it had a female MC who was a bully and that alone had me frothing at the mouth. Reverse bully? Yes, please. I love bad bitches especially when they come in the female form of satan himself.

What I didn't expect was how the main character Oliver would effect me. Oliver, a character who was mute throughout the book and does not utter a whole sentence in the entire book, THAT Oliver grabbed me by the throat (gently, because Oliver's like that) and made me cry. I was crying by chapter 3 and I cried even harder as the story went on.

Since then, Oliver's followed me everywhere. I NEEDED to have the next part of his story and boy, did I get what I asked for and so much more.

The Tyrant Prince shows a new side to Oliver: a much darker, sexier and sinister side and yet, through all the darkness, our pure, innocent, teenage Oliver manages to shine through.

This book is intense, raw and painful: dealing with themes such as mental health, disability and violence. Both characters go through so much in their journey and it's one hell of a rollercoaster filled with sadness, tears and joy.

Both main characters are written so well and the plot stays true to the characters. It was satisfying to end the series feeling like I came full circle but I don't think I'll ever be ready to say bye to these characters and be done with them. I need more.

In case you want the short version of the review: Yes, I loved it very much. Yes, it's one of my favourite books of 2021. Yes, it's one of my favourite series/duets of all time and no, you cannot have Oliver. He's mine.

Where the hell do I even begin with this ending?! I am at a complete loss for words with how Zee executed this entire series but she came out with the big guns in the second one. The first one was emotional enough with the bullying aspect of Oliver, but he came back with a vengeance against everyone who wronged him in the second one.

𝕬𝖑𝖑 𝕴 𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖒𝖞 𝖗𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓𝖌𝖊

Most people did not like Paige after the first book, completely forgetting who she was raised by and that she was a teenage girl. Either way, what she did to Oliver was wrong but understandable with how her brain interprets not getting her way. But, she was older and more mature in this one, seeking redemption for her wrongdoings. The depths at which she goes to restore her humanity was intense and refreshing.

𝕭𝖊𝖈𝖆𝖚𝖘𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖎𝖒𝖊 𝖜𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖊𝖑𝖑, 𝕴 𝖕𝖑𝖆𝖓𝖓𝖊𝖉 𝖙𝖔 𝖈𝖆𝖙𝖈𝖍 𝖍𝖎𝖒.

Oh Oliver, our sweet and sensitive boy has turned into a vengeful savage in his fight for justice. After everything he was forced to endure, after everything he has gone through, has provoked him into an altered state of mind throughout seeking his revenge. The darkness has surfaced and honestly, made him sexier than what he was in the first book.

𝖂𝖊 𝖜𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖙𝖜𝖔 𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖛𝖊𝖉 𝖍𝖚𝖒𝖆𝖓 𝖇𝖊𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖘, 𝖎𝖓𝖉𝖚𝖑𝖌𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖓 𝖘𝖔𝖒𝖊𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖈𝖆𝖗𝖓𝖆𝖑 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖑, 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖒𝖊 𝖔𝖗 𝖍𝖊𝖘𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓.

As always, Zee’s scenes involving sexual encounters are filled with so much passion. Nothing changed with this one except she turned up the fire and heat between these two characters. Oliver’s aggressiveness and rage showed throughout, making it the most intense hate sex ever! His tenderness shows even through the rage, and his love for her was filled with so much desire. Zee followed up with one hell of a tear jerker that touched me to my soul with her words.

The Tyrant Prince (Dreamhaven Duet #2) - Zee Shine Storm

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

::: SPOILER-FREE REVIEW :::

Rating: 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So this is book 2 in the Dreamhaven Duet. If you've read my review of Stable Boy you'd know how much I loved that one. It left me with so many unanswered questions.

When someone is bullied, how far do they get pushed before they retaliate? And, by doing so, are they just perpetuating the cycle by becoming a bully themselves? Or is it self-defense? Is it justified? Understandable? Necessary? Completely wrong?

And after the ending ... I NEEDED BOOK 2!

OH. MY. GOD.

This book was so fucked up and twisted.
And so good.
The storyline is phenomenal.

And I'm going straight to Hell for loving it so much.

I can't believe I loved it so much.
I can't believe I enjoyed the The “hate” sex between Oliver and Paige.

What is wrong with me?

Fucking Paige... I'm still not overly fond of her. Although she was better in this book and I appreciated the effort she put in.

I can't even say anything about this book because it will spoil the whole thing and that's not something I want to do. All I can say is go buy both books and enjoy the ride.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this duet more to you guys. I loved every single part of it. From the character development, to the storyline and the plot twists, everything was perfect. I literally devoured it in less than 12 hours and I know I'll be re-reading this one in a few days too.

Zee Shine Storm...I bow down to thee 🙇🏻‍♀️

I really hope you will keep writing forever because that's talent...

This book, as a matter of fact the whole series was surprisingly fucking good. ❤️

The plot was v interesting. The stable boy coming back for revenge and becoming the Tyrant Prince! Who doesn’t like a good ol’ revenge story?! 😈
The characters were great! Especially Oliver! He will always hold a piece of my heart. He was absolutely wonderful, even through the absolute shitstorm that was his life. To me, he was the most fleshed out character. The most I could connect to. Idk if it was his disability that made me empathize so much but he was by far my favorite. 🥺
Paige was another story. She was evil at the beginning. Annoying, childish, and corrupted. Because let’s face it, her evilness was due to her upbringing. Not an excuse, just the reality. Some of her actions were completely baffling tho. But that’s what set the story up….and destroyed the sweet Oliver we all loved.

Personally, I didn’t think Paige groveled enough. I felt like Oliver forgave her too fast but then the ending made me reconsider that. Because god damn! Life was just simply unfair for the both of them. And yet, they still found happiness through all the turmoil. ❤️

I rlly liked these books, the pace was quick and the tension and chemistry between the characters was phenomenal. I do wish the books were longer tho, I feel like Oliver and Paige had way more to say about their story. Or maybe I’m just rlly greedy and wanted more of them together, living HEA..
Tbh, I was even intrigued by the side characters…Leo, Ollie, Rhys and even Raine!
I rlly hope the author does continues with Ollie’s story because it definitely has potential ☺️

The Tyrant Prince by Zee Shine Storm ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh, what can I even say about this book? I was waiting for it since I was emotionally destroyed by The Stable Boy a month ago. I have to say I regret starting to read this book mid-week, because I couldn't neglect my job to finish it, so it took me two torturous days to finish Oliver and Paige's tale.

Oliver and Paige are now grown adults, both of them living their own hell. Oliver burning with hatred and his wish to avenge himself and Paige with the burden of the betrayal she casted upon Oliver.

Unlike the first book of this duet, this one isn't a bully romance. TTP sets a much darker tone since the first chapter and I guarantee that the desire to see how Oliver is going to fulfill his need to bathe in the blood of his enemies will make you read this book incredibly quickly, specially because Zee promised us a HEA!

The Tyrant Prince's tempo is faster than the previous book, so we have many things happening one after the other, all of them setting the pace to the upcoming ending that is just PERFECT for the tale. As I said to the author, I love a realistic twist in a happy ending, and seeing how well she managed to do it in this duet just made my heart melt. Oliver is just too good to be true and I actually saw myself forgiving Paige (and I ended The Stable Boy wanting to kill her and throw her body in a dumpster) and rooting for her.

Paige and Oliver's story is one that I'll definitely revisit any time soon. It has the perfect ratio of heartbreak, smut and softness... Just remember that The Tyrant Prince is the second book of a duet and cannot be read as a standalone.

This was probably my most anticipated read of the year. After reading The Stable Boy I couldn't wait to get the second half of Oliver's story and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved The Tyrant Prince! I'll admit I was a little nervous going in because I was so heartbroken for Oliver, after the first book, that I wasn't sure I could stand him suffering any more. I'm so glad I did read it because this book is about so much more than romance. There is such a deep undercurrent of emotions and life lessons to be learned. Oliver is still my favorite character and I'm still not overly fond of Paige. Although she was better in this one and I appreciated the effort she put in. The story was gripping and there were moments that made me want to cry for Oliver but I was also so happy for him, for finding himself. I love really deep and thought provoking books and that is exactly what The Tyrant Prince is. Zee Shine Storm has a great writing style to really enhance the emotional impact of her words. You are drawn in and become deeply connected to the characters. You really feel what they are going through.
I would definitely recommend this duet and will say it's one of my top reads of 2021! I loved it!

Wonderful conclusion to the Dreamhaven duet

I was glad that I waited to read The Stable Boy close to The Tyrant Prince’s release. After book one I was was in such a state-devastated for Oliver and couldn’t wait to find out if he would return like a Phoenix -rising from the ashes of cruelty and abuse.

The time jump at the beginning of this book surprised me. More so I was more surprised to read about the status of Paige our anti heroine from TSB. Paige’s shenanigans in book one really made me loathe her. But like all great stories, there is a process of redemption which I had to admit made me feel for Her, and ultimately cheer for our couple to find a HEA.

Oh what a roller coaster of a story- great pace, flow and ratcheting tension -had me reading this in one sitting - I had to know the ending. I really want to know more about Leo, Rhys and Ollie- hopefully we might get more from this world in the future 🤞

If you only read one book series this year, I would highly recommend this duology.

5/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a ride. I never wanted this story to end!

This one had me gasping in shock with all the twists and turns that you’ll never see coming. Oliver had me questioning my morality throughout this book. I shouldn’t have been so excited with the path he decided to take, but I was, and it made me love him even more than I already did. I was out here internally screaming “YEEEES!!!” during those parts, especially towards the end (IYKYK). Damn, I really am that twisted. 😂

I loved the time skip and seeing how much these characters developed since the first book. The one thing that never changed was the love they had for each other and it destroys you because trust is important in a relationship and that’s the one thing Oliver questions when it comes to Paige. The “hate” sex, however, I welcomed with open arms. 😏

I don’t want to get too excited and spoil this book for anyone, so I’ll just say that as Oliver and Paige’s story comes to an end, it feels like goodbye after becoming so attached to these characters. ;-; The conclusion to their story is so worth it though and I can’t wait for the spin-off!

Thank you to the author, Zee Shine Storm, for providing a copy of The Tyrant Prince (Dreamhaven Duet book 2). I have reviewed honestly.

The Tyrant Prince features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Dark romance
○ Revenge
○ Second chance romance
○ Violence
○ Murder
○ Triggers

My overall rating for The Tyrant Prince is…

5 Stars!

What an incredible duology! I really loved how the author made each book in the series so unique from one another; they almost felt like totally different book series, with the overall feel of each book being a complete contrast to the other. I thought The Stable Boy was dark, but Storm was definitely holding the reins with that one. With The Tyrant Prince, she set the stallion loose. And what a magnificent beast he was. The events of The Stable Boy shaped our MCs in this sequel and I loved their transition of teenagers to adults. I loved the drama, the violence and the passion. I'm also begging for some spin off series because there are two side characters I adored and would love to see their happily ever afters! Overall, a daringly dark and emotional tale.

Devastatingly tragic, yet beautiful 🖤

Wow wow wow!! Zee had me needing The Tyrant Prince the second The Stable Boy ended and man, not only did she not disappoint, she hit this one out of the park!! Oliver's take no BS attitude was awesome and so refreshing after the way he was treated by those who were supposed to love and care for him. He was back with a vengeance and it was deliciously amazing. I loved every single thing he dished out to those who hurt and betrayed him. I equally loved all the good he did for those from his past who truly cared for him, like Rayne. I also was happy that he finally had Leo, a true friend that he could count on and trust. I really, really wish that I could tell you my favorite parts and why but, 1 - there are sooo many and 2 - I promised a review without spoilers, so you'll just have to read it and find out for yourself. I promise you will love the conclusion, it was perfect! All I will say is that everyone who should have, got what they deserved and even Paige suffered for her betrayals in a way. Go grab this duet now because if you like your books dark, with romance and some well deserved vengence, you will love the Dreamhaven Duet!!

The Tyrant Prince is the second book in this duet and must read Stable Boy first.
I will warm you. Zee has a way with writing that’s amazing and will also completely wreck you but it’s so worth it.
I was a mess after reading Stable Boy and was eagerly awaiting The Tyrant Prince. I’m now wrecked again! But I love this story and honestly there’s no way to really put it into words.
I can’t even give you little insights into the story as it would spoil it and you really need to go into it blind. If you’ve already read the Stable Boy then you’ll completely understand why.
Stable Boy finished on such a cliffhanger I didn’t know what to expect from this second book. I felt like my heart had been crushed and although it still is, I’m so glad to have read book 2.
Thank you Zee your an incredible writer and a real inspiration. I don’t know how you do it.
This duet is an absolute must read, just have your tissues ready! You won’t be able to put it down.
One of the best emotionally charged books I’ve read and denser so much praise.
A massive ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From me 🥰

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let me start my review by saying that The Tyrant Prince is the perfect conclusion for OliverPaige. I can't even describe all the different emotions that I felt while reading this book, especially after reading The Stable Boy. The entire storyline was extremely engaging that I was able to finish everything in one seating. Literally, a total page-turner!

Talking about the characters, we can clearly see their development. All the things that the characters faced in the first book formed them into what they are in The Tyrant Prince. I just loved seeing how realistic Zee portrays the characters. Even the relationship between Oliver and Paige makes me wanna scream. The chemistry and sexual tensions between these two are definite *chef kiss*.

Overall, it was a great read for me and Zee has done an amazing job in delivering this story. It was well developed and greatly written. This book will forever hold a special place in my heart and I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna reread it again and again in the future.

If you haven't read the series, then what are you waiting for? If you're searching for a heartwrenching emotional read, then this duet is perfect for you. I highly recommend you guys to give this duet a chance.

I was nervous going into the second book of the Dreamhaven Duet because book 1, The Stable Boy devastated me emotionally and mentally, it hit my heart hard and swift.
The Tyrant Prince was a beautiful and well written completion to this duet. The beginning made my heart thump for Oliver still, it was devastating to read what has been happening to him. But Oliver has a strength and strong will that does not allow the bullies of this world beat him down, no matter what they do. Paige was not well liked by this reader but I have forgiven her now.
Zee Shine Storm promised me some redemption and completion to this tale and I am so happy with how it was written, how the characters developed and grew, and the love survived an unspeakable storm.
6 beautiful, heart wrenching stars 🌟

*** WARNING **** - The Tyrant Prince, can not be read as a standalone and is book two in the DreamHaven series. This does have some graphic violence but with that being said, it was an incredible read and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves erotic thrillers!

The story continues for Paige and Oliver and its one you do not want to miss, especially if you read The Stable Boy. At times I was aggravated at Paige for everything she was putting Oliver through. The amount of abuse that Oliver had already been through was enough.

I do not want to say too much and spoil this book but I can tell you that this is one you do not want to miss! I absolutely loved this book!

The Tyrant Prince ARC review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

Zee gave us another great, beautiful and emotional story with Oliver and Paige. The story continues with eight years after The Stable Boy with Oliver’s determination to seek revenge with people who did him wrong.

I loved Oliver and his strength and how much love he still had to give after being broken when his freedom was taken away. And Paige, I knew she had a heart and I admired her for trying to do what was right and trying to fix Oliver to be the boy with the same heart she once knew.

This story brought me to tears with all the emotions that happened in the story and that ending was something I never saw it coming.

I absolutely loved this and can’t wait to read more of Zee’ books ❤️

“The world was my hell, and she ruled it like the devil.”

Love the covers on this duet! Part one was really uncomfortable for me since I hate bullying but part two was really out the box for me. Author goes into graphic details so be ready.

What did I like? I’ll admit I didn’t think part two could redeem Paige but I think karma handled her well. I think by the time the book ended everyone had deserved their comeuppance and I felt everything was on an even enough pace that the book could be considered a HEA.
It was a hard road for them both but all ended right.

Would I recommend or buy? I’d definitely recommend to people who love really dark romance. There are graphic dealings with m/m rape that could be a trigger. I would have bought this duet and I gave it five stars just for the difficulty level of writing about some of this stuff.

This is book 2 of the Dreamhaven Duet, book 1 was a cliffhanger. The book is compelling, I had to keep reading it even though I cringed through a lot of it. I cringed because of the truth of some of the scenes, the tragedy and pain that people with disabilities can be subjected to. However, it was also a book of recovery, and the powr of kindness and real love.

Great Conclusion

Oh yes!! Oliver was back with a Vegeance and Paige suffered greatly for her betrayals. I enjoyed every minute of this book, because i felt like this is definitely set apart from the rest of the revenge, forgiveness novels. This one showed the cracks of the broken charcters, this one didn't give the typical perfect HEA, this one was unapologetic, it was beautiful.

I was highly anticipating book 2 of the Dreamhaven duet, and I was NOT disappointed!

You must read book 1 first to understand what's going on. This was suspenseful and entertaining. The characters were well developed and intriguing, broken souls overcoming so much trauma, and an ending I couldn't see coming.

Zee Shine Storm has cemented her spot on my 'favorite author' list.

I received this book as an ARC, and this is my honest review.
