What would you do if you could live forever? Could you hide it from the one you truly loved, especially if her life depended on it?
Thanks to his dysfunctional Olympian family, Archer Ambrose finds out firsthand how difficult this can be. He never falls in love but bestows it on others—until he meets Callie.
When Callie Syches moves to the Upper East Side to prepare for her father’s impending death, she doesn’t expect to meet the boy of her dreams. She also never believed her father’s harebrained theory about myths, but her uncanny ability to “see” uncovers godly secrets Callie can hardly fathom.
With an immortal family demanding absolute obedience, how far will Archer go to protect his love from the storm the gods will unleash upon them?
In this reinvention of Cupid and Psyche, experience an electrifying series where familial and romantic bonds are at war, and knowledge could mean the end of everything…or a new beginning.

The gods, a dysfunctional family of immortal beings with powers we can only imagine, do they fall in love forever? What if they fall for a mere mortal? You think your family has issues, wait until you meet Archer’s.

Archer is secretly a god, his job, to pierce the hearts of lovers with his arrow, but only once has love found him and it was brutally taken away. Then Callie started at his high school, serious, intelligent and with the weight of the world on her shoulders, and Archer is positive she is the soulmate he lost hundreds of years before and he is in love, too bad she is a mere mortal and his grandfather, Zeus will kill her if he finds out.

Is there more to Callie than meets the eye? She has connected with Archer on every level, they need only look at each other to communicate and Archer’s family is going to try everything to keep them apart, just as he will do everything he can to keep them together.

QUIVER by Lisa Borne Graves is a gripping tale of love, loss and reclaiming love, once again, perfect for young adult readers or those who are young at heart. No over-the-top angst, gods living in the mortal world, mortals completely unaware and the god of love denied what his own heart truly wants. Can Callie and Archer find a way to be together? How can he keep her in the dark about who and what he is? Ahhh, the trials of young love when your family just won’t butt out…

An excellent read with colorful characters, mythology, and some very surprising twists!

This was a unique take on Greek/Roman mythology, bringing the pantheon into modern times. The story was complex, with interwoven storylines and multiple perspectives to provide the bigger picture. The writing style was sometimes difficult to follow, and the lack of smooth flow in places could be distracting. The cast of characters was so broad and had so many names it was tough to keep track...there was a chart at the back of the book to help with that but I didn't find out about it until the end, so I got pretty confused. With that said, the twists on the myths were fascinating, and the author did a great job thinking through the world building and lore! The romance also got better and better as the story progressed. The ending left a lot of threads untied, but apparently there will be a sequel, which should wrap things up nicely! All in all, an interesting and worthwhile read!

Love doesn't always win. When Eros falls in love Zesus demands he give up his mortal lover. In this compelling story by Lisa Borne Graves, the Greek gods have joined the modern era. Eros and Aphrodite have decided to join the high school crowd. The drama is not just of the Greek gods but things that the teens of today might face. I found it to be most enjoyable and highly entertaining.

DNF. I read about 20% of the book before concluding that this book is not for me.

That said, I can see this book being for a LOT of people. I don't usually gravitate toward academia fiction, and this story centers around a girl at school who meets a cute boy who lives in her apartment building and also goes to the same school. It might be my least favorite kind of story actually, but that is 100% a me thing.

It has mad YA vibes which I don't really gravitate toward. The Greek myth rep is also very modernized which isn't really my thing either.

The book is well written and the characters were well developed for a YA academia romance. So if you're into that, I highly recommend this book because I think you'll enjoy it!

This is a fast paced love story with some good twists. The author has obviously done her homework on Greek mythology. She spins a great tale that keeps you hooked.

Greek mythology, but they're in high school. The gods are so extra.

Will I ever get tired of Greek mythology? Seriously though, I am 40 years old. I have this same question about time travel.
