4.5💫 I really liked the final part. Sure there were some plot parts which were predictable but I still enjoyed those. All in all a great series to binge read😁
A brilliant finale to the Earth Magic Rises, Heart of the Fae begins with Georjie being taken by Fyfa to meet with the fey Queen, Queen Elphame. After a formal meeting filled with pomp & protocol Georjie is granted a private meeting where she seeks to gain the Queen's aid and manages instead to gain a rosehip. There are plots & subplots. Georjie is surprised when her Mom & Aunt & best friend, Saxony, a fire elemental arrive for a visit. There's a chance for a chat with her Mom looking for information about her father, and a chance for Saxony & her to take on the ithe, and oh so much more. It's a well crafted work & one to be savoured although it compels one to just sit & read it all in one go. I strongly recommend this series of works. Suspect it's one of those where you'll discover something new & fascinating with each re-read.
I have loved this series and this third book is no exception! The author has ended this trilogy perfectly with all questions answered and loose ends tied! There are fantastic characters and twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat and lost in this incredible world that the author has built and I cannot recommend it enough!
I have to admit that I'd completely lost interest in this series at this point. I had days where I actively avoided listening, because the thought didn't give me anything. The book had it's interesting aspects, although I was never surprised by the ''twists'', and part of my disinterest may have been my mental state instead of the book. So this book isn't bad, it just really wasn't for me.
Fantastical! Incredible world building! Built totally by Knorr’s own imagination as there is nothing else like it. With Georjayna and her earth magic, world building is everything, and Knorr’s world here is clearly depicted and amazing. This is a book I could hardly wait to get my hands on and read. I started reading in the early evening and on into the wee hours of the morning nonstop. I loved the characters. They all had their own unique personalities. I loved little Maisie. She was so adorable. And Lachlan is swoon worthy. Also, I was so happy to finally meet Georjie’s incredible father. The elemental battle Georjie fought with the evil witch Daracha, and later with the help of her father, was stunning. The epilogue in this book tied up all the loose ends in the series and was very satisfying. Ms Knorr is a master story teller. I feel confident that I could pick up any book authored by her and know that I’m in for a real treat. Highly recommended.
Every time I starting reading a book by A. L. Knorr, I know that I’ll love it. And this wasn’t different. This last book of the serie brings everything you look for in a story: suspense, romance, adventures, and deep emotions. Each scene brings a unique experience and grips the reader from the very beginning till the end. And what a scenery, we can see the place of action as we were there. Georjie’s story is definitely one of the greatest among the elementals.
This is the last book in a trilogy, so I strongly recommend to potential readers that they start with the first book in the series. However, I truly recommend that you read everything else that Ms. Knorr has written, because this book is only the cherry on top. Here are some things I loved throughout Ms. Knorr’s bibliography and how they appeared in this book in particular:
Super-creative world building: the main character, Georjie, is a Wise, which is an Earth elemental, with power over plants especially. Well, we get to see her learning so much more about her ancestry because she needs other people from the fae realm to defeat the “bad guy”. It’s so amazing to find out about Scottish folklore and see how Ms. Knorr has felt the fae realm looks like! And not to mention the existence of other supernaturals in her stories… but for more info on this, you need to read the book!
Characters which you’ll love: Georjie has a very complicated life, when you look at her family (mother is a workaholic, father left the family when she was a toddler). But in the end, it turns out her family has more ties to the fae realm and the supernatural than she initially thought! And she has very supportive friends which are there for her, friends we readers end up loving just as much as her.
Perfectly plotted plot: I always felt that we get the best balance of information and dialogue and action. You won’t get bored, you won’t be overwhelmed. The rhythm of the action felt just right for me!
Make a deal with the fae at your own risk… Tricked into a slippery alliance, Georjie has no choice but to trust the only being with enough power to stop the black witch. All she has to do is lure Daracha to the right place at the right time using herself as bait, and the formidable queen will do the rest. Georjie gets a surprise visit she hopes will help her uncover why her father left all those years ago, but uprooting the truth is easier said than done. When her search leads her to unlock a secret message from the fae realm instead, she learns the dark witch's life is inextricably tied to the life of an innocent. If one dies, so does the other. Faced with an impossible choice and not enough time to make it, can Georjie make the deadline, save the innocent AND outwit the devastating fiend who craves her ashes? Heart of the Fae is the third book in the thrilling Earth Magic Rises YA contemporary fantasy series.
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Heart of the Fae: A Young Adult Fantasy (Earth Magic Rises Book 3) ❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️OMG 🫣just loved this last book 📖 Georji rocks 🤩👏🥰 …definitely loved 🥰 watching this story unfold, 🥰🥰 loved the ending… Georjie had to learn to grow during her journey, with very little help… I hope to have all the girls together again and hear what they have to say to their journeys.
I definitely recommend this book 📖/ series 📚 to anyone who love magical, page turning adventures with strong heroines.
I have read everybody Ms. Knorr has written in the order she has listed, I do not want this to end…. Now going to start Saxony’s series… don’t know where she gets all of her imagination, but this author is extremely talented, I am no teen, 50 actually and I just can’t get enough…
What a great ending of an awesome series. Certainly one of the most evil witches. I can't say enough about the characters. Somw were pure evil and some were just plain good. World building was just super. I definately want8 to give more than 5 stars. Georgie was at a loss. She believed that Daracha could be beat, she just had to figure out how. Her friends couldn't help, they would be no match for Daracha. She had made a deal with the fae queen so she had to be at the castle by midnight in the garden. Things progressed faster than she expected so as her knowledge of everything she had learned caused her to improvise. She used what she had knowing she would have to think quick. I absolutely loved this. An awesome series
I really enjoyed the finale. It seemed like the author wrapped all the loose ends up and we got all our answers. I think the main event was a slightly underwhelming though, I don't want to give any spoilers but it seemed a little to easy for the scene of the final showdown. The author left an open if she wanted to do another story because Georji's lineage is quite unexpected but I think this was the end. Definitely recommend this book, although I gave it a 4. Reason being is because of the last fight scene being too easy and just some of the storyline drew out unnecessarily.
The ending to Georjie’s tale was absolutely wonderful. It was full of action, suspense and love. There were many mysteries Georjie uncovered and solved in this part of her adventure. Each one revealed a little more about who she truly is. I definitely loved watching this story unfold. I think my favorite part was the twist toward the end. Georjie has grown so much throughout her journey. It was a pleasure going on it with her. Although this series has ended I hope to see more of her and her loved ones in other stories. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who love magical, page turning adventures with strong heroines.
I still really like the concept and it was a cool plot and I really loved the whole vibe, but ultimately I found myself just trying to get it over with. The ending left me feeling a bit meh. Also I hated the romance plot lol I felt it was very underdeveloped and there was zero chemistry and I dont know why she even bothered to include a second love interest if that's all she was going to do with it. The second love interest only made me more annoyed with the main one because I liked the alternative way better. They were both underdeveloped but the alternative was at least interesting. Anyway. I liked it well enough.
Things really heat up for Georjie, in every sense of the word. A nightmare concerning her friend the Fire Mage, confirms for Georjie that she needs to battle the dark witch without involving her friends.
It isn't all bad though, as Georjie learns more of what she can do. Her powers are growing and she isn't as helpless as she once was. She also discovers the answers to questions that have been unexplained for too long, that not only gladden her heart but the hearts of her friends, and one Fae friend in particular.Things re
I enjoyed this Trilogy so much that I think I will be doing some catch-up reading on earlier books that are connected to this storyline.
A.L. Knorr (Earth Magic Rises, #3) (a spin-off of the bestselling Elemental Origins Series), my twenty-seventh read from author A.L. Knorr. Well-written, the characters, even the minor ones, are well developed with an attention-grabbing storyline. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they do the things they do. The things that make the reader get invested into the characters and thereby the story. I’ll be reading more from this author! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
I enjoyed this last book in the series. Georgie grows into her powers more and works to learn enough to win the battle with Daracha. She looks for Queen Elphame's promised help when the moment comes. However, Georgie finds the strength within herself and from an unexpected source. I love the different characters interactions. I would love it if Lachlan could go with her to the Fae Realm. Surely there's a way? Anyways... I enjoyed it and I'm sad to see the characters go.
Thrilling adventure and impossible choices are what face Georjie, the lead in A.L. Knorr’s Heart of the Fae (Earth Magic Rises, Book 3). Superb writing, a great plot filled with wonderfully crafted characters is what faces we readers. This really is a fantastic book and a great continuation of its totally wonderful (separately reviewed) predecessors in the series. I had a fun-blast reading this book and expect that anyone else will as well. Highly recommended.
Georjayna was my favorite character from The Elementals series and I have always been most interested in Earth and it's inherent abilities. The questions about Georjie's father were answered in a way that I didn't see coming but was very clever and made so much sense. I know the author is working on Saxony's series- bring it on because this author just keeps getting better!
The WISE are not always wise, especially when they are young
Earth Elementals are know as the WISE. Georjie is a WISE, but she still is a long way from knowing what that means. This is the final book in this trilogy in which Georjie learns about her true heritage. Georjie knows that Daracha must be defeated, but what must she sacrifice to do so. Read and learn how this turns out.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set. (Audible)
How does a single earth wise defend and defeat a witch that had been for centuries honing her skills, as well as consuming the power of two other wise women.
This final episode of this series ties all those loose ends that exists in any readers mind, as well as culminating in a nerve wracking stand off.
Magic Fantasy and a storyline to keep you reading!
A L Knorr is definitely a favourite Author of mine and Georjie is my favourite character storyline with nature and fae/fairies intertwined in the plot. It might sound like a children's book - but don't be mistaken! This story has depth and is a good read for adults who enjoy fantasy fiction
In addition to enjoying the story, I'm glad we were able to explore a little bit of the origins of the Wise along with more of the fae. This series along with the Siren's Curse are my favorite so far by this author for the simple reason of delving more into the mythology of the different elementals.
This was a fantastic ending to a trilogy! It wrapped up so many threads so nicely, and I really appreciated learning all about Georjie and the Wise. I am in love with all the new characters, and it was so much fun seeing her earth magic again. Absolutely worth the read! I love these books. And this author.
I received an ARC of this book, but all opinions are my own.
So enjoyable watching the heroin, Georgianna, under dire circumstances being able to overcome her enemies. A. L. Knorr is a great Author. Her books are clean and suitable for any age. The story includes rich relationships between the characters and loyalties to each other. The world building is awesome.
This third book in series has interesting characters, great plot and story line, new love, heroine fighting an evil witch, fairies, new allies. Geordie learns more of her wise powers and how to cross the veil. The fairies want her to stay with them, but she wants to wants to stay with her family and new love. Now onto the next series
I enjoyed the tension and mystery of this story and Georjayna on her quest. The first book in this trilogy started out very slowly as far as I was concerned, but I kept reading, and I'm glad I did. The next two books kept my attention enough that I read them both in three days. Definitely worth a read!
A really great conclusion to this trilogy in the elemental witches series.
I really enjoyed this series following Georjie's visit to Scotland.
It's a well written story that moves on pretty quickly and kept me entertained with some great magical parts to the story moving between the real world and the faerie dimension playing upon some myths from the Scottish history.
I loved this series so much! Descriptions were beautiful. The story was exciting. Action was well-paced. Romance was on point. There were some points that I'm not quite sure about timeline-wise, so I'm going to look further into those. If there is a discrepancy, I'll leave the stars as they are. If I'm wrong, I'll change them to a full 5.
Heart of the Fae was a genius ending to this trilogy. Surprisingly there was a lot of things I was not expecting and that were very well explained. All in all, glad to hear the end of Georjie’s story and I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes clean fantasy. Easy read and an amazing world building !
This final book in this trilogy really pulled everything together. We get to see Georgie come into her powers and learn where she came from. Knorr painted a beautiful picture of both Scotland and Fae lands. And we got to meet Saxony. As soon as I finished this book I had to go and read the elemental series that takes place before this one. I absolutely loved all the books in the universe.
