Fallen Brook #1

All Our Next Times

Rate this book
They say every love story has a beginning. If that were the case, then mine started when I was nine years old.

They say that nothing good ever comes out of love triangles. Nice to know. Too bad my triangle is a quadrilateral.

They say never fall in love with your best friend. Too late, because I fell in love with two of them.

I may seem spoiled. I may seem selfish. But you’ve never met Jayson, Ryder, Julien, or Fallon.

You know what they also say? Choices have consequences, and some consequences are deadly.

Elizabeth

I have known and loved Jayson, Julien, and Ryder since I was a little girl. We grew up together. Shared our lives together. They were my best friends.

But I have to make a choice.

A choice about the woman I want to be…

And the man I want to be with.

My choice changed everything. But what if I made a mistake? I thought I knew how my love story would end. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Reader’s Warning: All Our Next Times is the beginning of Elizabeth’s love story and is Book 1 in the Fallen Brook Series. Book 1 is a steamy romance full of angst, emotion, and suspense, and told in multiple POVs. Book 1 takes place from childhood through high school and contains scenes that may be triggering (violence and reference to assault, abuse, and drug use, foul language, suspense, and a shocking cliffhanger). Sex/sexual intimacy in the book is consensual. Recommended for mature readers aged 18+. Please note that even though there are multiple love interests, it is not a RH.

pi-Zap-5 '𝐀L𝐋 𝐎U𝐑 𝐍E𝐗T T𝐈M𝐄S' Is the first full length newly revised issue, friends-to-lovers book in the (Fallen Brook) series by author 'Jennilynn Wyer.' Spoken in muiltiple POV's. ANd ends on a cliffy.

It's been a hot minute since I've read anything by this author, so when I saw this popping up on my newsfeed off to Amazon I went, jumped in that very night and couldn't put it down, one more chapter before I put my ipad down resulted in finishing it.

I loved how this started off wringing all those giddy feels out of me as nine year old Elizabeth was excited to meet the two twin boys (Jayson & Julien) as they moved into the house right next door to hers, donning on her princess dress and tiara off she went to play with her two princes.

'...𝙹𝚞𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚗 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚔𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝, 𝙹𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚞𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚒𝚣𝚊𝚛𝚍, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙸-𝚗𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢-𝚊𝚖 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜, 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝 𝚊 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚍𝚛𝚊𝚐𝚘𝚗.'

But it doesn't take long to add another boy to the mix (Third grade) when a new boy starts school and Elizabeth takes him under her wing, his name is Ryder. His dad recently opened up an auto shop in town and that's why they moved to Fallen Brook.

It doesn't take long for the twins to bond with the new boy as they welcomed him into their tight knit little group.

As we move up through the grades and years feelings start developing between the boys and Elizabeth, especially with Jayson and Ryder.

'... 𝙹𝚞𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚗, 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝚜𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚙𝚒𝚛𝚒𝚝. 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚖𝚢 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚐𝚘 𝚏𝚞𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚏𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚙.
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎'𝚜 𝙹𝚊𝚢𝚜𝚘𝚗. 𝙷𝚎 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚜 𝚖𝚢 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚙𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍. 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝-𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚢 𝚎𝚢𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚢 𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚎𝚜. 𝚁𝚢𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚒𝚜 𝚖𝚢 𝚊𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛-𝚎𝚢𝚎𝚍 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚍𝚎𝚟𝚒𝚕, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚔𝚎𝚎𝚙𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚢 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝.'

Jayson got to Elizabeth first declaring that he loved her, it was almost in some ways to stop Ryder in his tracks who also wanted to tell Elizabeth that he'd fallen in love with her. But he was too late.

There is a lot to unpack when it comes to our characters.

Jayson - I was team Jayson for a while, but now and then he'd show a different side to himself, (drinking and jealousy getting the best of him) which I didn't really like pushing me more towards Ryder. He smashes it at swimming.

Ryder - This boy slowly wormed himself into my heart, the knight in the background who stood steadfast and strong whilst he saw his best friend and the girl he loved get it on. Wants to run his fathers autho shop when he graduates, also smashes it at drift racing.

Julien - At a young age knew there was something different about himself, he wasn't just attracted to girls (one girl particular being Elizabeth) but he liked boys too, one boy he grew especially close to in this book was Elijah. Soccer player who will go far.

Elizabeth - A bit of a hot mess when it came to her guys, she loved Jayson but she also loved Ryder, and she even questions if Ryder had've confessed his feelings before Jayson would she have chosen him.

Hailey - Elizabeth's sister, these two were really close which you could witness throughout the book, then Hailey started changing, being secretive and Elizabeth had noticed bruises and what looked like burns on her body, a close friend said she'd been spotted with an older guy.

Fallon - This guy was kind of in the background but always there a friend of Ryders, he threw wild drunken parties, was kind of a bad boy who if he threw money at a problem or dished out a warning to someone that problem would disappear.

Throw in some angst, some emotional ups and downs, and all the firsts between Jayson and Elizabeth and as you get wrapped up in all the feels you reach that cliffy involving her family (parents and sister Hailey) I'd prepared myself for a cliffy. Just not how this one went down, this changes everything. Now I'm even more excited to read the next book in this series. 65451226-2019570151487824-6157464638251335680-n

I want more.

Seriously. I want more Elizabeth, Ryder, Jayson, Julien, and Elijah. I can't believe that I have to wait for book 2 for more of this drama, especially since "All Our Next Times" is the very best sort of drama: the kind that will have you laughing, crying, yelling out loud, cheering, sitting on the edge of your seat, and begging for more.

In this fast-paced, well-written page turner, Jennilynn Wyer has perfectly captured the joy, anguish, and turmoil of high school while also creating a story and characters that adult readers will find relatable and tantalizing. She offers the perfect balance of lovable, heroic, despicable, and villainous characters and plenty of action, both in the plot and her steamy scenes, to keep the reader entertained and intrigued.

"All Our Next Times" is a feast for any reader who thrives on drama, trauma, joy, hope, shock, fear, angst, and love. I highly recommend it; it will warm your heart, lift your spirits, enflame your senses, engage your mind, and leave you dying to read the next book.

Yes, it's that good, which is why I'm rushing off to read the next book right now.

All Our Next Times by Jennilynn Wyer is a mature YA high school|childhood friends to lovers|love triangle romance. It is the first book in the series and is told from multiple POVs.

I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed most of the characters, the storyline and it was an easy read. It had drama, a little suspense and a lot of angst.

The things I struggled with was the adoration of all the three boys had for the FMC Elizabeth, the fact that Elizabeth was quite selfish and acted a little bit like a princess and the dialogues at times felt a little superficial.

All in all I found this an enjoyable read and would recommend it to those of you who love high school drama with a bit of suspense thrown in.

This is my first read by Jennilynn Wyer and I look forward to reading more of her work.

This book hooked me in from the very beginning. I love the different spin on this series and it had a spin at the end that I was not expecting. Initially I wasn’t quite sure I found the story believable but as the story progressed the emotional pull I had to the characters made me realize that this could absolutely be realistic.

The character development and progression of their lives had me jumping back and forth between team Jayson and team Ryder. At the end of book one I was team Ryder but feel that will change in the next couple of books. Actually, I am sure it will!

There was a twist at the end of the story that I was not expecting at all. I can’t wait to see how it plays out for these three men and their princess.

Ahhhhh! The first page of this book immediately hooked me! I love them all so much.

Liz - she’s a little sheltered and innocent for my liking and the fact that because Jayson was the first one to get to her about his feeling so therefore she was like yeah okay I’ll be with you then even though I love Ryder too kinda pissed me off about her.

Jayson - I was kinda rooting for him in the beginning but after his little temper tantrum stunt, it made me not like him as much.

Ryder - Sweet baby Ryder! My poor boy!

Julien - Adore Jules.

Fallon - We had tiny Fallon crumbs but tell me why he’s a close second after Ryder. I just love and cheeky mysterious bad boy.

I kinda figured something would happen to Hailey but I really didn’t expect what did end up happening and now I’m terrified cause like who did this!!!!?????

Not the worst book in the world but it was all very ridiculous. I didn’t like Elizabeth much, she was too much of a special princess and started off the book by making bitchy comments about other girls. I have no idea why the guys were fighting over her 🤷‍♀️

The writing was too flowery for my preference. Admittedly I’m not and never have been a teenage boy but do they really think stuff like this? “I can hear her voice floating down to me like a song whispering through the leaves of the tree as it glides upon the night's breeze.”

Read if you vibe with:

✨Best Friends to Lovers
✨They only see her
✨possessive/protective MMCs
✨Found Family
✨I kissed her first

I can’t feel my face. That’s it. That’s the review.

Kidding. Maybe.

My emotions, my heart, my eyes. What in the ever loving f*ck was that cliffhanger!? If you couldn’t tell…I’m kind of at a loss for words here. This was my first Jennilynn Wyer book and I’m glad this was my first taste. The writing alone was amazing, the storyline gripping me until the very end. It still has a grip like a vice around my heart. All hail the queen of the cliffhanger, cause my Jaw is still on the floor. I will be patiently (read: impatiently) waiting for book 2 to continue this series.

This book brought all the gripping page turning drama. One minute you’ll laugh, the next you’ll cry, and at the end you’ll be hanging off your seat begging for book 2. I 👏🏻 ate 👏🏻 this 👏🏻 up👏🏻.

Not to mention the amazing PR package I received with a paperback copy to grace my trophy shelf.

Thank you to Torch Lit Ink and the author for the eARC and PR box!

I have no words. I'm rendered speechless. Wow. This book has everything that makes for an epic read. There's love triangles, there's friendship, there's brotherhood, there's sisterhood, there's jealousy, there's heroism, there's selflessness, there's sacrifice, there's fear, there's joy, there's firsts, there's betrayal, there's anger, there's forgiveness, there's fighting, there's rivalry, there's romance, there's mystery, there's intrigue, there's shock.... With all this, I still say there are no words. It's so much more than what I have listed. It's indescribable. It's awe. It's riveting.

This first book in the Fallen Brook series has catapulted in my favorites list. It is full of every kind of emotion there is. The best word for me to describe it is EPIC.

Jennilynn Wyer has cemented her place in my top list. She has raised the bar so high with this first book. I can't wait to dive in to book 2. Wow.....

I’m Addicted!!

Let’s just start off by saying that ending OMG didn’t see coming. We go from teen drama to some serious drama.

The story is of a young girl who befriends three boys her age. They grow up to be best friends, but as they continue to mature their feelings start to change.

The author does a good job of keeping the story moving and not revealing her hand at what might happen in the future in regards to Liz and the boys.
I have no clue who she will end up with if she even does. I was pleasantly surprised at how Elizabeth started to feel forced to make certain decisions for her future based on who she was dating. Cause I totally felt that way, so yay for a strong FMC.

There was mature content so please check trigger warnings. Also there is no “sharing” of Liz just everyone being in love with one another lol.

Excited to see how this will all play out. Hoping everyone gets a HEA.

amazing !

I’m pretty much in awe. 4 friends who would do anything for each other…except give each other up. What would you do if you met your soul mates as a child? They call you princess and they are your princess ? They protect you, love you, and shield you from the world. Until…they can’t.

Until the world beats back. Beats back and tells you that you have to choose, that no one can live in a vacuum of love and not choose. And then things get really complicated. There is nothing like All of Our Next Times that you’ll have ever read. The angst, lies, love…nothing compares in this book. If you need more and want to see an in-depth of the snap shots of life that happen in this book…read Julien. I’m in awe and I’ll hopping into the next book in the morning. Holy cow that cliffy will make you throw your phone !

Not a single dull moment!!
"Jayson, Ryder, and Julien have been my everything since I was six years old. What kind of person am I to love three guys at the same time?"
So, before you ask . . . no, this wasn't a reverse harem read . . . but WOW!! If you're into:
✔ YA romance
✔ a high school setting
✔ love triangles/quadrangles
✔ angst
✔ friends to lovers
✔ coming of age stories
then this one's for you!

With the pages filled with betrayal, lies of omission, and secrets, All Our Next Times made for some very compulsive reading. And that ending?!!! OMG!!

There are a few trigger warnings if you're a sensitive reader:

4.5!!

This was my first book by this author and it will NOT be my last.

I'm never sure what I'll get when I start a High School based love story, but this one really did capture me. I absolutely love the lifelong friends trope. I love the protectiveness that these boys have over Elizabeth and the bond they all have together. The high school setting was really written well and realistic. I really can't help but love all the main characters honestly.
This was a well paced read and I didn't want to put it down. I read this book in a little over a day (with adulting thrown in between).
There was angst and tension of the best kind, emotions all over the place (especially the end) and yes THE ENDING! The Cliffy I mean... goodness. I can't wait for book 2. What am I supposed to do in the meantime!?

All Our Next Times by Jennilyn Wyer has left me speechless. I don’t think I will ever be over this book. I loved it so much. This book follows Elizabeth, Julian, Jayson and Ryder as they grow up and navigate their super close friendship. I love how all of them have such a special bond and how all three guys protect Elizabeth with their lives. They’ll even protect her from one another if an issue arises, and I love that. These guys truly put her first above everyone else. I thought I knew where this book was going to go, and then the end changed all of that. My emotions and mental state has been destroyed thanks to the ending of this book, and I really need book two because it ends on a cliffhanger.

Prepare yourself for an emotional journey like no other because All Our Next Times, the first book in the Fallen Brook series, will leave you utterly breathless. Jennilynn Wyer masterfully delivers a small-town, friends-to-lovers romance packed with heart, twists, and an unforgettable bond between characters.

Elizabeth and her three best friends share an exceptional connection—a bond built on years of loyalty, laughter, and unshakable friendship. But as emotions deepen and hidden feelings come to light, the line between love and friendship is tested in ways none of them could have imagined.

Ms Wyer’s storytelling is both powerful and poignant, capturing every nuance of young adult emotions in a way that feels achingly real. With twists that will leave you reeling, swoon-worthy moments that will tug at your heartstrings, and an epic cliffhanger that changes everything, this book is impossible to put down.

As Elizabeth’s princes grow into kings, the question remains: whose heart does hers truly belong to? Has her choices turned everything on its head.

Heading into book two, one thing is certain—you’ll have to decide which team you’re on:
   •   Team Jayson
   •   Team Julian
   •   Team Ryder

So, who will you choose? I know mine!

Wow!!

I was not prepared for that ending. Omg!! This is a beautiful love story that will make you cry and gasp out loud.
This story is about a girl who is basically in love with her three best friends. She ends up dating one of them but her heart also belongs to another. They all have a beautiful friendship. This story starts out with a little drama here and there. The author does a fantastic job keeping you interested throughout. Then bam!! It’s like holy crap that ending was crazy and now I have to read the next one.

The Fallen Brook series is such a page turner. All our First Times is the first of the 3 book series that provides all the details of the early relationship of a girl and her three friends. The book has you flipping back and forth on who’s team you are on. The book definitely leaves off on a drastic cliff hanger that forced me to go right into reading book two!

Very Good

Okay, first off. This is a debut novel? I'm surprised. It feels like it's written by an author with years of experience.
Second. What the what?! I so did not see that twist coming at the end. Totally blindsided me. (I don't read blurbs or reviews so really had no clue).

Buckle up for a WILD RIDE. Going in, I knew there was going to be a twist and cliffhanger, but that still didn’t keep me from audibly GASPING over the last couple of chapters.

This book pulls you in immediately with a cryptic poem, and then envelopes you in the cutest, most wholesome story of young children finding their forever friends. As they grow, so do deeper feelings and the troubles they face. Throughout it all, they are family. You root for all of them to have a happy ending. But you won’t see what is coming. 🤯

All I have left to say is thank god the next book comes out soon. 😩😩😩
