From the pages of Bungo Stray Dogs comes a new series about the peaceful everyday lives of the cast-Only now the Armed Detective Agency and Mafia characters are mini-sized?! This cozy gag manga about the cute adventures of Atsushi and crew brings a different charm from the original!
Rating: 4.5 stars because the short stories made me LOL!
(1) I am in full support of Atsushi's burning all of Dazai's love notes, he has it coming anyway! LOL
(2) The sakura picnic with both the ADA and the Maifa in the same park is so cute!!!! And of course, Atsushi and Kyoka-chan have a cute romantic moment during the sakura picnic!!!
(3) Atsushi always ends up doing the other Armed Detectives' bidings!!!
(4) and of course our MCs are going to explore the mysteries of their coworkers' lockers (meaning: violation of privacy) LOL
(5) a lot of humorous moments, I like it!
(6) And! The second story about Rampo and his glasses is just endearing!!!!
(7) I am kinda worried about Kunikida's blood pressure when Dazai is around. LOL
(8) Poe is correct to believe that whenever there is a group of men and women on an isolated island, THERE WILL BE MURDER, that's the norm. LOL
(9) Atsushi gives Dazai a surprise is just so endearing!!!!
(10) Again, chibis are justice!!!
(11) Q holding a white tiger Atsushi plushie in their hand is the cutest!!!
So, this is a fun collection of stories about the daily lives of the—chibi-fied—characters in the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia.
Every short features several of the characters getting into different shenanigans. There are plenty of references to the main series as well as some “easter eggs” thrown in for the fandom.
If you enjoy the main series, you’ll probably like this collection. It’s not vital reading. But, if you’re in need of some levity—especially if the intensity of the main series is stressing you out—this would be a great, quick and fun read to pick up~
i love this book 😭 but the official english manga translation is hard to read in some parts, i don’t really know why but some phrases seems a bit off ??? maybe it’s just me
Chuuya looks so cunty in most of the pictures he appears in.
These were funny and lighthearted, most were interesting.
I especially liked the Hanami chapter, the "Higuchi has no idea what hand signs mean" chapter, Dazai posing as a granny, The Guild stranded on a island and the Kindergraden chapter.
But I like anything with Chuuya, Akutagawa and Kyoka. The skrunklies.
What a freaking cute rendition of the Port Mafia/Detective Agency/Guild guys and gals. Met a lot of new people since I’m not finished with the series. Chuckled and sometimes LOL’d. Dazai is still my favorite hands down.
I didn't quite get this one. It felt like a collection of short stories about a group of people who work in a mafia-like agency. Some of the characters were funny, some were lazy and some were super serious, but the whole time I felt I was missing context and a thread to connect all the short stories. I just felt lost and confused for the entire volume.
I did like the art style though! And most of the characters were quirky enough to keep my attention.
Too many curse words and alcohol consumption to add to my middle manga unit.
I've become a huge fan of Bungo Stray Dogs, and when I found the anime for WAN! I knew I needed to read the manga, too.
I started volume 1 of both the original series and this one, but I'm caught up on the latest episodes of season five. So, I'm unsure of when it would be best manga-wise to read WAN! but I do think if you've watched the first or up to season two of the anime, I think you'll be fine.
WAN! is an adorable spin-off series of Bungo. It's ridiculously funny and drawn super cute. I loved all of the short stories, and I look forward to reading the rest.
Not all of the short stories were adapted for the anime, which made it nice to read something new and haven't seen.
One word for this volume: HILARIOUS!! I would say I cannot believe that Dazai actually wanted to go through everyone’s locker, but I definitely can!! I think that Ranpo is such a mood when he’s snacking! The daycare scene was so adorable and I just realized that in the actual anime, Akutagawa was literally saying poke while poking Dazai! 😂😂😂 Overall a solid 5 stars because this volume had me rolling, dying on the floor!

- tachihara telling higuchi to make another cup of tea for chuuya and her just doing peace signs back at him - what's in yosano's locker lol plus ranpo snacking in his - port mafia and ada go flower viewing - higuchi asking chuuya to modify her weight LMAO - a cinderella story with a francis appearance - the literal apocalypse happening when dazai actually does his work - i love pm shenanigans but q and elise playing together is actually so cute can we have their interactions in the manga or anime PLEASE - yosano's errand to ranpo to kenji to kunikida to dazai asking atsushi to buy a cow is peak comedy (but how did he even get one) - a water flea??? that is a TIGER atsushi kyouka is a master artist - chuuya bullying atushi as he should - yosano being the best teacher ever iktr - chuuya's "im mafia not a philanthropist" and don't you forget that either; we don't help out old grannies in this house -> sticking with his evil/bad image this is peak character - never would've thought that wan would be the ones to confirm that any other bombs would indeed blow up kajii - fukuzawa and the cat! does he know about natsune - yosano putting a blanket over kyouka <3 - the guild on an island who knew this was everything i didn't know i needed (francis thinking about inflation, lucy building dolls, poe keeping out of the heat and ominously thinking about murder) - mark twain suggesting they eat karl i'm dying - not them leaving steinbeck behind and him finding lovecraft they are THE besties - i love chuuya's pretty hat - ok as much as i do dislike dazai i can forget that in wan so it's kinda nice ig that someone is telling him thank you for the first time ever (not that he deserves it but once again it is wan)
I love how funny and carefree this spinoff manga is! It's definitely nice to see the more comedic side of all the characters since the manga has gotten pretty serious lately...
I loved the part where Chuuya helped that old lady, but it turned out to be Dazai. That was hilarious. Chuuya and Dazai's interactions never fail to make me laugh.

Absolutely adorable and full of BSD goodness. My favourite parts are the interactions between Dazai and Chuuya-priceless! If you've not read regular Bungo Stray Dogs, read it first or this probably will not make sense.
