Some lines are meant to be crossed.

Trent Montgomery knew all about loyalty and responsibility. Tracking down his friend’s long-lost sister and making sure she was safe was just another job, a favor from someone he cared about. He wasn’t supposed to get attached. But when he started to fall for the woman who had been hiding from the world, things got a lot more complicated

Straight-up perfection. ❤
That's the only way I can describe this introduction to the Whitecap series. Crossing the Line had the perfect combination of humor, heat, and suspense with a whole lotta swoon and even some moments that had me wiping away tears. I devoured this thing in one sitting. I just loved Trent, Sawyer (aka Cheyanne) and little Renee and all the characters in this darling small town. Looking forward to more of this series!

I was very hesitant to start reading this book even though I've been looking forward to it, because the last handful of books this author has published were frankly not up to par with the way she usually writes. There was always some over the top other woman drama (and all the double standards that came with that) not to mention the slut shaming/catty name-calling, the downright unlikable male leads and how their solution was to screw everything that moved so he could stop thinking about the one ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this baby!

It was all kinds of small town, single parent goodness with a dash of suspense and filled with a whole bunch of characters I need to spend a lot more time with ~ along with a few I already love.

I adored Trent and Cheyenne. Trent is simply a good man, who follows his gut and will throw down for those he calls his. Cheyenne is one strong woman. She lived through a hellish situation and did what needed to be done to not only protect herse

I loved this novel! This novel just sucked me in from the very first chapter and I could not put it down until the very last page. Even then I did not want this novel to end. I loved Cheyanne and Trent. Oh my gosh, I loved their chemistry. This novel kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next. I loved getting to check in to characters from previous novels it was like visiting old friends. I loved the dialogue and banter. I love when a novel can make you laug ...more

Ms. Prince does an excellent job of teasing her readers about her WIPs and this time was no exception…. I’ve been waiting for Trent’s book for a while and the fact that he’s been assigned to find Charlotte’s twin sister he had no idea how much his life was about to change!!

I literally devoured this book in one sitting…even pretty much blowing off work on a Friday afternoon because I couldn’t put it down. Sawyer (Cheyanne) and her daughter Renee

A new book by Jessica Prince? YES, please!

4,75 stars

I can never go wrong with this author, whatever she writes, I know I'll love.
This is the first book in the Whitecap series, but it also brings some people from our so loved Hope Valley.

Cheyanne/Sawyer is running and hiding for her life and to protect her adorable, little Rene. After finally feeling safe enough in the quaint, small town, she's decided to call Whitecap her home and its people her family and friends.
Little did she know that her l
I absolutely LOVED this book. I loved the small town and the characters that lived there. I can’t wait for more from this little town.

Cheyanne Knightly/Sawyer Darcy is a strong single mother who is loved in her small town. Trent Montgomery works for Alpha Omega and is sent out to find Cheyanne for her twin sister Charlotte.

I just love the interaction between the characters. I felt like I was right there with them! I loved reading how Trent fell in love with Cheyanne and her adorable daughter Ren

I can't tell you how much I love a Jessica Prince romance. It is like coming home, a perfect cup of coffee on a blustery fall day. TOTAL PERFECTION. Per usual I devoured this one in a matter of hours and although completely happy with how it all wraps up, I still want more. Always want more. The delectable always protective hot ass male lead, the strong capable gorgeous woman that blindsides him into realizing the life they have both been searching for. LOVE IT. And a new town...HELLS YES!!! Ser ...more

What a great start to a new series while still bringing some favorites from Hope Valley to visit. I’m so happy that Trent was able to tell his story and get his happily ever after!

Trent & Sawyer (Cheyanne) definitely go a journey with many ups and downs. I loved the twists and turns. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I had to know how it would end, but at the same time I wasn’t ready to walk away from these two characters.

Jessica Prince knows how to deliver a small town romance with suspe
Not the usual fare

Maybe I'm just having an off day. But I don't feel that
this is up to par with the other Hope Valley books. It felt rushed, not a lot of stuff happening. I'm sorry to say that I got bored and skimmed through many pages. I still love Jessica Prince and I'm still going to read her books as soon as they come out. But this was a meh for me.

A swoon worthy, heartwarming small town romance!

What a way to start a new series! JP never let’s her readers down. The first book in the newly found town of Whitecap gives readers a major Hope Valley feel. This comes as no surprise as it’s a spinoff of that series. Whitecap is a small seaside town with all the feels of Hope Valley, but with it’s own twist on things.

Our story starts off with Cheyanne (Sawyer) and her Little Bit, Renee aka the cutest kiddo of all time and the life they have built

After every book I’ve read by this author I am always anticipating the next book. Crossing the Line was no different. I believe in the beginning this book was going to be a part of the Hope Valley series, but instead this book is the start of a new series!! That means more characters and more stories!!

Trent Montgomery was tasked to find the long lost sister of his friends back in Hope Valley. He was to find her, protect her and reunite her with her twin sister, Charlotte. After months of search

Another fantastic spin off to Jessica Prince's wonderful small town worlds she has created, the Whitecap series is the first, but many of the characters are connected to the Hope Valley series.

Crossing the Line follows Sawyer whose real name is Cheyanne, she has been in hiding and on the run for years. Leaving behind an abusive controlling husband to keep her daughter safe. She only dreams that one day she wont have to hide anymore and maybe be reunited with her long lost twin sister. She is sa

I probably sound like a broken record because with each new book Jessica Prince writes, it becomes my new fave, however, I’ll say it anyway...THIS IS MY NEW JESSICA PRINCE FAVOURITE! Trent and Sawyer are my new favourite couple, their story is amazing and this series is definitely off to a great start!!

Cheyanne has built a new life in a town that’s adopted her as one of their own. After the events that caused her to flee and hide, she’s as content with the life she’s made for her and her daught

I adored this read. Start to a potentially fabulous new series? Check. More time with Hope Valley guys (and some wisdom from Lincoln)? Check. Reminders that this family can touch THREE separate Jessica Prince towns (look to Pembrooke for that)? Check. And most importantly, guy meets girl, guy falls for girl, truth comes out and guy gets a few richly deserved knuckle sandwiches? Check, check, checkity check.

Trent was so much more than I’d hoped for, and I’d expected a lot out of him by now. He w

This is a new series by the author because it takes place in Whitecap, Oregon but its a continuation of the authors Hope Valley series and is really part 2 of Playing for Keeps which starred Charlotte Belmont and Dalton Prescott.

In Playing for Keeps we met Charlie and we found out she had a missing twin sister who had run away from her then husband, a politician with lots of power. Dalton and Charlie asked their friend Trent to help them find Charlie's sister, and thats what brings Trent to Whi

Trent & Cheyanne (aka Sawyer) aren't supposed to get together. She's in hiding. He's just supposed to locate her for Charlotte. But then he catches feelings... ; )

I loved Charlotte & Dalton's story, and the friendship Trent has with both of them. So for him to get his HEA with Charlotte's twin is 100% perfect in my eyes! That whole part of the story is magic!

This whole story is sweet with a hint of suspense, and there are lots of LOL moments especially involving the family she's created in this

Playing for Keeps is Book 1 in the new series "Whitecap" by Jessica Prince. OMG It was fantabulous! It is really just the continuation of JP's Hope Valley series but with new characters and an amazing new scenery that goes with it. In Playing For Keeps, we get Trent Montgomery's book!!! He's works for Alpha Omega and had been asked to help find Charlotte's missing twin sister Cheyanne Knightly...and that’s how he ends up in Whitecap, Oregon and "runs into" Cheyanne or as she known now as "Sawyer ...more

Where to start....

I was wondering if it was gonna be thrown off with a new series coming out but I was very mistaken, the transition was perfect. Jessica did an awesome job with Trent and Cheyanne oh and Renee. Trent in the other books was in the background and kind of mysterious. Learning more about him in Dalton's book and this one wasn't a disappointment. I am so happy he found Cheyanne. Cheyanne was a strong individual and I love reading about strong women.

I'm so here for this new series! Jessica Prince did an amazing cross-over from her Hope Valley series into this new Whitecap series.

Cheyenne is in hiding. To the world, she's supposed to be dead. But the Alpha Omega team know otherwise and they send Trent to find her.

These types of stories are what Jessica Prince excels at - Where two people that are attracted to each other - whether they want to be or not, whether they try to fight it or just go for it - and have AMAZING chemistry, have drama

Jessica creates a world in her stories that I’m always excited to dive into. She never fails in her ability to engage a reader from start to finish.

Creating a town, it’s people that I instantly feel invested in.

The male leads are appealing, the strength of character is solid. They love hard and leave everything at the door. Good guys who are also hot.

Her secondary characters, the female in particular are so much fun. You can envision them as your best friends.

After having a rough childhood being seperate from her twin sister at a young age Cheyanne wants the best for her-something she didn’t have growing up.

I wondered how Jessica would get us out of Hope Valley—Crossing the Line answers that question with a wonderfully romantic story with heart and a good dose of humor. The new characters in this delightful small town in Oregon have already stolen my heart, particularly Luna (she's a scream). Not to mention the budding bromance between Trent and Sam, and I know there will be much more "competition" between those two. This story was fun from page one, and Jessica didn't forget to add that bit of sus ...more

This was okay for me. I didn't enjoy this one as much as this author's other books. I can't put my finger on exactly what made it less enjoyable for me. I didn't think Trent and Sawyer went together as much as I would have liked. Relationships built on lies (even though I understood why Trent lies in the beginning), are never something I enjoy. I did think the writing flowed well, and the story had everything that I've come to expect from these series. I wasn't a huge fan of Sawyer's bestie. I f ...more

This book is the first in a new series by Jessica Prince. In this book we meet Sawyer/ Cheyanne who is a strong and sassy heroine with a fantastic friend group. She has an adorable daughter named, Renee, and has escaped an abusive ex and has a long lost twin.
Trent is our hero and he works for Lincoln (from the Hope Valley Series). He is sent to find Sawyer/Cheyanne for her twin, who is with someone from the security firm Linc runs. This book was so darn good! I immediately feel in love with all

Born and raised around Houston, Jessica is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, connoisseur of inexpensive wine, and the worst driver in the state of Texas. In addition to being all of these things, she’s first and foremost a wife and mom.
Growing up, she shared her mom and grandmother’s love of reading. But where they leaned toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.
