Free Comic Book Day is the perfect chance to dive deep into the Marvel Universe with new stories and exciting adventures alongside some of Marvel's most acclaimed creators - and this year, Marvel is bringing you the biggest and boldest stories yet! Plus, a Venom story written by Al Ewing & Ram V with art by Bryan Hitch that leads directlt into their run on VENOM. Starring Spider-Man and Venom!
The tease for what’s coming in Spider-man 75 looks like it could be dope. The tease for Venom wasn’t done very well. Needed to be a bit more to hook me in. Then the Daredevil bit at the end had me lost.
Okay, since I haven't read much of these two together in one issue, I thought I would give it a go before watching the new Venom movie. I'd say it was alright — nothing super special but not bad either. I also feel like each one makes them stand out differently and I don't know what was the case here, but I liked Venom more. It was a very quick read and deserves 3 stars, for now.
Every year I choose a Spider Man FCBD comic, as you can’t go wrong with Spidey! This issue features Ben Reilly as the Scarlet Spider, someone I wasn’t very familiar with, although I know there are more versions beyond Peter and Miles. It was a good introduction to Ben’s story and will give readers time to look up info about him (like I did) before diving into a longer story with him. The second half of the comic was about Venom, Edward Brock, who when bonded with his symbiote is the King in Black. I often get Venom and Carnage mixed up, but Venom is more an anti-hero vs Carnage being a straight-out villain.
I enjoyed all the stories in here! Marvel has some exciting comics coming up in this half of the year! Good writing, good art, and intriguing story ideas!
My only issue Is the abrupt change from the Venom into the Daredevil story, felt like they should have had an actual ending between stories.
I like FCBD and how I get to read many short stories and enjoy the art of great artists. This issue has three short tales one about Spider-man but not Peter Parker but Ben Rilley then a small Venom story and then a shocking tale of Jessica Jones and Dare Devil. It was nice.
I have always loved comics, and I hope always to love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
Not a Spidey or Venom fan, but these were decent teases. Not sure what was happening in Venom but it's All Ewing.
The best part were the unexpected Daredevil pages at the end. If you've been reading Zdarsky's DD run, then you'll only get more excited for what's coming in the run up to his exit from the book. If not haven't been reading his, run... get MU so you can catch up!

Marvel comics freebie for fcbd. Suitable for teens and adults. Good color artwork. The first story introduces this years Spider-Man. The second story deals with kings.
