I couldn’t handle the dialogue. As someone who lives in Tennessee and very close to Nashville, no one talks like the characters in the book. I just couldn’t get behind this authors writing unfortunately. The plot wasn’t keeping me reading. DNF.
So when the description describes Eve as innocent as an angel, what they’re apparently trying to say is that she’s an idiot. This book was definitely not for me. The dialogue between the characters was painful to read and the way that Eve is portrayed as backwoods, slack-jawed yokel (borrowed from the Simpsons) is not sexy; it’s degrading and ridiculous. I don’t know much about motorcycle gangs but the characterization here is that they’re all heartless. Glad this was free. DNF.
Holy shit what a ride. These Nashville RBMC are off with a bang. This story has it all action, suspense, mystery, grit, romance, and steam. When Hallow finds his Eve nothing will stand between them including his club. I loved everything about this book. I couldn't put it down. I don't even know where to begin with this review. Eve and her protective biker had great chemistry from the start but when their spark ignites you better hold on tight for the ride that they will take you on with enemies and danger lurking at every turn. Who can they trust? Not everyone in Nashville are what they seem. I wish I had me a bad ass biker to take me to a party at Royal Road because these guys will show you one hell of a time. I cannot wait to see what Morgan and her bastards have in store in the next book, but whatever the journey I know it will be another five star read.
A decent read. The problem was it was a bit confusing at times. Hallow was an ex cop and had transferred from another chapter to Nashville's chapter. They were a weird bunch and he didn't seem to fit in anymore than Eve did. He was fine with her but seemed more of a wimp around his President and so called brothers.
It started with her as a waitress at a bar and the boss man had said he had a surprise for them on Halloween night. After the crew working that night was held basically hostage by the bikers and told the boss man Grady, AKA Wolf, was killed, Eve thought it was a game...a murderer mystery where nobody was really dead and they had to figure out who done it. When she found out the hard way that it wasn't a game she freaked.
It kept changing who really done it and why. Confusion. It ended with a hea for now. I'll check out the next one in this charter when it comes out... hopefully it's better.
Spoiler ahead:
I felt Hallow was forced to rape her when they first had sex. She wanted him but not in the middle of an orgy while blindfolded and the president was watching. If this disturbed you, you have a warning
It’s Halloween and the Royal Bastards MC find themselves called in for a murder of one of their prospects “Wolf” but it doesn’t stop at one murder. This story has lots of twists and turns and will keep you reading so you can find the “who dun-it.” Hallow and Eve’s chemistry is off the charts and the hot scenes had the pages burning! A definite read. I received an ARC and this is my honest review
OMG, this book was a thrill a minute to read. It will grab you and keep you interested and reading till you reach the last page and then you are wanting to know more. The characters are amazing and you cant help but fall in love with them and no matter what you want to see them succeed at no matter what may try to stop them. This book is a must read that needs to be n your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.
So, is this a murder mystery dinner or the real thing? Eve thought for sure it was nothing real until another body shows up. Leave it to Hallow, the fallen angel, to claim this little angel and protect her. There’s a killer out there and the RBMC take Eve with them when they leave the party wondering if she is a part of all this especially with her connections.
There is a definite spark between Hallow and Eve and there are so many twists and turns it kept me turning pages because I couldn’t wait to find out what was around the next corner. I loved the steam and drama and I always love my MC romances. This is a book that I would recommend.

The chemistry between Hallow and Eve is off the charts and you will find yourself cheering them on as find navigate toward a life together with everything that's going on around them. This is a must read and I can't wait for the next installment of the RBMC.
This book is only like 180 pages and it took me THREE days to read it. Why? Because it is the most ridiculous book I have read so far this year. There is so much rambling I would skip almost an entire page before I got to a sentence that was actually relevant to the situation. The dialogue?? HORRIBLE! Omg I couldn’t stop cringing through this book, it was an honest struggle to finish it. It was so predictable at every turn, there was absolutely nothing that I didn’t already guess was going to happen. The author tried way too hard to make this smutty to where it’s just awkward.
So at one point the MMC is asking the FMC to have a drink with him and she finally gives in. He clinks their drinks together and he goes “Holler and Swaller” to which she replies “I don’t believe in fate”.
WHAT?!? Where the hell did that come from? There was nothing leading up to this comment. Also holler and swaller? Yuck.
Then!! Omg then when it it’s suppose to me time for some “spice” oh god this is probably the worst part of the whole book. This is word for word from the book: Then he bent down to get a mouthful of TITTY while his hands tugged my drawers completely down. I stepped out of them. God love a duck, Hallow's head slid down my stomach, his mouth trailing leaving kisses. He stuck his face right in my COOCHIE.
Completely pulled me out of the moment. Of all words to use, the author picked these? I don’t know maybe it’s just me but “coochie” isn’t sexy to me.
I am so glad I got this book for free from Stuff your kindle day. I’d be super sad to have wasted money on it.
First off all the colloquial language was laughable. FMC was made out to be some dimwit from the back woods of Nashville and wasn’t able to do anything for herself.
Lots of things were just awful. I didn’t like any of the characters. Especially Hollow. I’ve read plenty of books with morally grey MCs but good god he was awful. I’ve read lots of MC books and I just wasn’t feeling this.
He’s an ex cop wrongfully accused of something bad and had to move away then joined a gang? Not buying that.
Her dads some criminal for a rival gang but he’s still around? Why didn’t they take him out already. I kind of want to know if her dad did kill her mom but not enough to finish the book.
I’m not usually bothered by NonCon but the scene that made me DNF just didn’t sit right with me, he didn’t even say anything to her to help her through it, just did what he needed to do.
I don’t think I like this authors style of writing, I might try another series by her to see if it was just this particular book I didn’t like.
Ms. Mitchell is a new author for me and I fell in love with her writing style with Hallow’s Eve, a new RBMC Chapter located in Nashville, TN. The storyline gives the reader suspense, action, romance and numerous exciting characters who this reader can’t wait to read their stories.
Hallow is relatively new to the Nashville RBMC chapter having recently transferred in. But he was a true brother and lived by the MC’s rules and brotherhood code. He wasn’t looking for a relationship but seeing Eve, a waitress at a local bar, had him reconsidering. With just one look he knew she was special and he was determined to make her his. But Eve didn’t date or want anything to do with a biker. So showing up to her work in costume on Halloween he’s determined to make her like him before he reveals he’s a biker. But when a murder happens at the bar and everyone is locked in, she soon learns the his truth! But when she suddenly becomes a suspect, can Hallow save her from his MC brothers wrath and prove her innocence? Should she trust him? When Hollow learns Eve’s truth, can he trust her?
Awesome MC read that I highly recommend grabbing up ASAP and getting in on the ground floor of what is shaping up to be a terrific RBMC series.
A Halloween murder mystery treat for the RBMC series! When Eve goes to work the Halloween party at Bootsies, she doest expect to get locked in by the RBMC Nashville charter and have a murder mystery experience for real when a body is found. Hallow is instantly drawn to Eve's innocence something he is far from, especially in tricking Eve. When the club take her hostage on the trail of the killer, Hallow will do anything to keep his angel safe, even if its from his own club. Well written, engaging, suspense filled, mystery packed, steamy, dub-con, hot scenes and more! The story has you hooked from the start always guessing who and whats next. A great addition to the multi author RBMC series
Hallow falls head over hills when he stops and looks at eve. Best way for him to catch her eye is dress to different. She don’t like bikers. So hallow’s mission is to change her mind. This angel is about to see heaven on earth. Another royal book that will leave u wanting more ..
This book jumps all over the place so it makes it aggravating. I ended up giving up about 20%. Guess this is a Chapter of The Royal Bastards I won't be reading.
Another good read, it's my first time reading anything by author Morgan Jane Mitchell and she did really good. Hallow and Eve are from the same world, running from their past for different reasons. They may have a rocky start but we know once you become the property of a Royal member there's no going back, well done.
I'm blown away with this first book in a new chapter of the Royal Bastards. It's a phenomenal read that hooks you right from the get go. A thrilling page turner that unravels a mystery and a slew of who done it. The chemistry between Hallow and Eve is off the charts. You'll get lots of action, suspense, romance, twists and turns. It's a story that won't disappoint. This is a definite must read.
I couldn't continue reading it 💀 This was so F weird and I can't stand some kind of dialogues on real life like: "Why are you haven't. Had s... Yet?" "How old are you?" You are legal, so why...? " People can do watever they want with their life and body! 😑💀
Hallow and Eve are absolutely perfect for each other. She needs protection and he is determined to see her safe. They storyline was wicked crazy. Great read.
Hallow and Eve's story is another wild ride on the RBMC journey. It's a very fast paced read full of action and mayhem that can only come from RBMC family.
2.5⭐️ I couldn’t get into this book. The writing didn’t flow for me, the characters were not believable at all and just not likable, the story felt disjointed and I hated the MC. Normally MCs that the H is involved in are “good” and have a good sense of family, brotherhood and have AT LEAST the most basic of morals, but this one had nothing. They were all selfish and only out for themselves. They were the lowest of human scum and there was no brotherhood or loyalty. Nothing about it made me want to continue reading about this MC. The entire storyline happened over approx 1 week - from first meeting to engaged and in love. This is after the MC Pres ordered the H to 🍇 the h in a room full of people, while everyone was watching and touching her. This was only the 2nd time the H and h had met and she was a v!rgin … but someone a few days later she’s fine with it all and marrying him. WTF. This one just wasn’t for me.
The idea of the story could have been great if it had been written better. The writing style is weird and jumpy, and it takes a while to get into the book because of it. We get to spend to much time inside the heroines head and hear her inner monologs, it takes away from whats happening in the story. I'm sorry to say that the author has written Eve in away that makes her seem dumb. Wish we get to hear more from Hallow, his parts are more full of action and way more intresting. Overall it's a very boring book.
Ms Mitchell I gave your book 5 Stars and 2 Thumbs up . I could not stop reading this story. This book has mystery, suspense, romance, with twist & turns on every page. Hallow is a biker and a member of the Royal Bastards MC: Nashville Chapter, Eve's a waitress at a bar where the Royal Bastards hang out. Lets said first impression didn't go well. But Hallow likes what he sees in Eve and decides he is going to win her over. So he comes back the next night to the bar's Halloween party. But things don't go as planned. That's all I'm telling you, But I'm going to say this: If you love alpha male bikers, a beautiful heroine with the face of a angel who hates bikers, a Honky Tonk setting on Halloween night and a couple of murders thrown in. You are going to love this book. So settle in on your chair with a cozy blanket and your favorite drink and get ready for a ride of a lifetime with, Hallow, Eve, & some of the other Royal Bastards MC of the Nashville Chapter as they make their present known in their first book. You are in for a good time. So sit back, relax, get ready to read and enjoy Hallow's Eve. Also can't wait to read Kingpin's story, the President of the Nashville Chapter.
This is the first book in the Nashville TN series and I have to tell like all of the Royal Bastard MC books it is the perfect mix of suspense action and drama with some steamy romance thrown in
Eve can't believe that the honky tonk bar is having a murder mystery rather than the usual Halloween party but she is willing to play along with the fact that a MC has locked them down to find a killer The only thing is when she finds another body she realises it is all oh to real. With Hallow one of the brothers wanting her her life is about to change but can they have a future when not everything is as it seems
This was my very first time reading a book by this author and i got to give it Morgan Jane Mitchell you have got a new reader. This storyline from the new Royal Bastards MC of Nashville TN series Hallow is a total Alpha i so fell instantly in love with this character, he totally goes after what he wants. Wow Eve & Hallow are a totally awesome fit, she is the flame to his fire the passion from this two are hot,
Wow i love the way that this turned out because the suspense makes u want to read faster to see just what is gonna happen next, the author gives you love, hate, greed and passion and many many twists and turns. Can't wait to see what happens in future books by this author.
This was a great book. A little wordy at times but the Storyline was worth it. Eve thought she hated bikers. When one hits on her, She makes her feelings known. But what a change a day makes. Super Sexy fallin angel has caught Eve's attention. Little does she know, they aren't strangers after all. Hallow sees Eve and he's a goner. She is sexy and pure and he wants her. Nothing is going to stand in his way, he hopes. It's a little intense in places but worth the read. Loved it. I reviewed this after recieving an ARC. But my review is honest and my true feelings about the book.
Eve really thought it was fake until the RBMC showed up intent on solving the a mystery at the bar she works at. They take her along for the ride suspicious of her connections to it all. Sparks fly between her and a fallen angel. What’s a girl to do when she’s caught in the middle of a murder mystery?
Hallow and Eve have immediate chemistry and Hallow is alpha enough to get what he wants when he wants it. This book is suspenseful, fast paced, and action packed. Overall, Hallow’s Eve is a good read.
Eve went to a Halloween party at the club. She never expected to be caught up in a real life murder mystery or to meet a gorgeous biker dressed as a fallen angel. Hallow is at the club with his mc, looking for a killer when he meets Eve. There is immediate attraction between them. Eve may be innocent but she won't be once Hallow keeps her for his own. A fun read.
I did enjoy this Halloween treat! It was just a a bit different for an MC read, Hallow was good but the others were just strange. It was a good story! I enjoyed Hallow and Eve together, the chemistry was great. There was also so much going on! It was action packed and kept my attention. This is a good start for this MC, I just hope the others can follow more in Hallow's footsteps.
