This was one of my favourite installments in the series so far.
The case itself was compelling and well-paced, but what really stood out to me was the continued development of Amelia and her FBI partner’s relationship. The growing trust, subtle tension, and emotional closeness added an extra layer that made the story even more engaging.
The balance between investigation and character moments felt just right, and I finished this one genuinely excited to keep going. A strong, satisfying entry that shows the series hitting a really enjoyable stride.

Storm and Zane are great. I love them as individuals, as partners in the FBI and as a couple. This story was quick on the case and brought back an interesting character from violent behavior and the BAU. They added to the case and story so I hope to see them again! Joseph was not very present through actions, but his character and overall ick factor is ramping up again and I am intrigued to see how it all comes together with Storms ex high school bc, current partner and now the attorney who slept with Zane and is dating Joseph!?! The ending was good for solving the case and sharing information about their backgrounds with each other. The teasers got my attention and I am ready for the next book. Great author and series!

Good read and quickly finished
Interesting read. She is quick to finish the story while I read it. She also won't let it be left dangling. She is quick to read and allows the reader to finish quickly as well as allowing me to greatly run through to the ending. I read it in one night! It allowed me to jump to the end in no time.
She allows the reader to quickly bypass to the end in very little time! When I was reading it, I didn't even stop for sleep! I played through the night and into the next morning. The lack of sleep didn't stop me from finishing it. I played all night and into the next day until noon, when I got so
hungry I took a short break to eat a little bit. Then I went back to reading so that I could finish quickly. I was in a hurry to finish my review so that I could post this review. I tried to revise my posts to reflect this morning and afternoon so that I would quickly complete the interview. I wanted to get it done, so that I could concentrate on the ending.
The end of the day gave me a couple of hours to concentrate on how the book affected me .
This effect Allowed me that chance.
It made me think of old memories I hadn't thought of since I was a child. My middle school and high school dances and promes that I had some good memories was kind of sparse as I seemed to always have a mediocre time as my dates were usually a big bust! Our timing was usually off as my dates were mostly big jerks. After one of them grabbed my breasts, I made him take me home, where my mother kept me outside for several minutes explaining why I wanted to come in. After telling her that my date had grabbed my breasts, she finally opened the screen door and let me in.!

Hitman or Serial Killer
Amelia and Zane are working together to find the killer of a federal informant. They assume the victim was killed by a hitman since his information helped convict several people. The only thing odd is why would a hitman take the time to crave a bible verse on the body? Researching the case leads Amelia and Zane to other cases with a similar MO.
In this book, we find out more of Zane’s background. It is an emotional journey to learn what Zane has been through. Zane and Amelia are getting closer together and at some point Amelia will need to tell Zane her secret.
Cassandra is finally realizing she made a mistake getting involved with Larson.
Storm’s Rite is an interesting read and will keep you involved with the characters. You can’t go wrong in reading this book or any of Storm’s books.

Love this series
I have read all the series this author has written. I love that all the main characters are strong females. These stories grab me immediately and keep me strongly interested until the end. The characters are very well developed and believable. The dialogue flows freely and smoothly. The editing is clean. There are no profane or inappropriate sexual situations. I would recommend these books to anyone that loves a good murder mystery or psychological thriller. As always I can't wait for the next one to come out. Please write faster!!!

I usually enjoy reading this series for casual light reading, but this book triggered me. People of faith are often ridiculed, so having a poorly crafted character doing murders for poorly explained religious reasons without explaining how he got there except for the most superficial hint just smacks of more of the societal view of all people of faith being nut cases. Fine if you're going to use such a character, but please have the sensitivity to explain more about why this character is an outlier different from genuine people of faith.

Another good Storm book
I know in a series authors tend to go back over things in case someone reads it as a stand alone. However, I feel they did that too much in this book.
The story of catching a killer seemed to drift from front of the story backwards with repeatedly going over Zane’s past leading up to what was causing his PTSD.
Now, the killer’s saving the multitudes … oh my gawd, that was so shrink worthy, just gave me the shivers! LOL, it was so good, but disgustingly crazy. A perfect 5 for a thriller. Yuck!!
All in all, this book is definitely worth your time.

Mary Stone is a great Author, her stories reach in and grab you by the heart. You are breathless waiting for the book, then breathless again when you finish reading hoping the next book in the series will get published fast.
Zane and Amelia are great partners looking for a serial killer, hiding secrets and hoping it will end in a success.
Here I am wishing they would take that step into love but also find and get this killer off the street.
You will find this Author to be the one you have been looking for.

This is an ARC read and another great Amelia Storm book. Amelia and Zane are called to the scene of death of an FBI Informant. Is his death a contract kill or something else. As the two dig deeper they find out that they have a serial killer who has a set procedure and then he moves on. They realize they are on a tight timeline and use all the help they can get to find this killer before he moves on., Add to this is the growing feelings Amelia and Zane are feeling for each other. Can they find the killer before he finishes his ritual and moves on

Suspenseful and educational.
It had a lot of technical procedures that the FBI CIA and other agencies used and logic. It was really good but it seemed slot to take in. My husband watches the ID channel the first48 hours and shows of that type so I know some. But it was very interesting. I thought it was the last book in the series. Looking forward to the next one. They have to het Joseph Larson.

Serial killer
Amelia and Zane are called in on a case of a body thrown in the lake and he has a bible verse carved on his chest. Whi!e doing research they find that 15 others were killed In the same way. Just by doing their homework they got some good leads and follow the killer to where he was trying to dispose of his victim that he didn't have time to kill. A win for the good guys.

"Then, of course, there were the bottom-feeders that had burrowed into the corpse to feed." - This book definitely meets expectations for being macabre and grisly. It's also mysterious, making you wonder who this current killer could be and how everything with Joseph will come to light. Then it also features a romantic aspect, depicting the blossoming relationship between Amelia and Zane. Overall, great story -- I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Quite a ride!
I'm very happy to read an author of fiction tackle one of the greatest tragedies of our time: human trafficking. Add to that the depravity to which some people can sink, and you get a great thriller for the modern world. This story goes on to explore new areas of crime adding in misguided (or misdirected) religion. Great story, well written and the research was spot on.

Another page turner!
This next case that Amelia and Zane are called out to, end up being more of a serial killer case. Agents get help and advice from other FBI departments again. Will they be able to save the next victim? Or will it end up like their last case? Have to keep reading to find out! I like the fact that we discover more of Zane's CIA history. Will his PTSD harm or hurt this case?

Never a disappointment

Storm story
I truly enjoy reading This book and the others I've read so far. The characters are very human and the stories are enough to keep you reading long into the night so you can reach the end and start the next book. The stories are well written and realistic. I am starting on next book!

Crazy
I was surprised at the story. While I know that there are people who feel what they do is what needs to be done to get a better world but I'm not sure what the killer did was any where completing what God would approve of. After reading this book I think I will about the food when I eat out in a restaurant. Glad they caught him.

Great book
The book is a book that is hard to put down.
I like how it flows and keeps your attention.
I dislike that it doesn't end, but leads you into the next book I would read the next book simply because I enjoy the writing.
I dislike the overuse of the word "snort".

I can’t put this series down
I am addicted to this series! Thank goodness I am retired because I spend much of my days reading! I can’t wait to get to the end of a book, then can’t wait to start the next one. Although all of the characters have baggage, who doesn’t? Our baggage shapes our lives. Great story!

Amazing!!
Even though this is the sixth book in a series, it’s just as riveting as the first!! The characters are so real. I’ve even done a little research to check out some of the medical information in the books, and it’s spot on!! You can tell how much time she puts into each of her books.

Storm's Rite
Story is really building, all the facts and clues are coming together. They catch another case with a religious serial killer that believes he's been given the task of ridding the world of sinners. They catch him in the act. Cassandra is asking question of Amelia about Joseph and Amelia decides to confide in Zane. Great story.

Storm’s Rite, book six, of the Amelia series, continues the story with characters you love to get to know. Amelia and Zane are finally together and finding out more about each other while still keeping some secrets. Joseph and Cassandra meanwhile are falling apart. Joseph’s link to “the shark” is becoming more apparent. Bodies are showing up with bible verses carved on their bodies, including an informant, who is now dead. The race is on to solve these gruesome murders and figure out who is committing them. With ongoing action and complex story lines you can’t help not to love these constantly evolving character’s and plots. Absolutely loved this book and series! It pulls you in and keeps you interested from the very beginning until its’ last page. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. 5 out of 5 stars!

That’s one way to be with your sister, isn’t it??? He thought he was judge, jury and executioner and now he wants to be a martyr??? Sounds a little rough but I enjoyed the story and recommend the book.
