I was so excited to get Marshall’s story, and let me tell you, Lindsey did not disappoint.
Marshall is ruthless, dark, delicious and everything you could want in a book boyfriend. Boy did he meet his match in Sophia. I loved their back and forth. I loved that she made him work for it. And when these two got together, it was pure fire.
We get to meet some familiar faces from Checkmate and Poker Face in this book too and that was the icing on the cake. I love all these characters!
I’m keeping my review vague for now, because I don’t want to spoil the journey for anyone else. But be ready to have the rug pulled out from under you when you read this book.
Five fat Marshall loving stars!

You like bad boys? Marshall is the baddest of them all.
The story of Marshall and Sophia is one that will have you feeling a range of emotions. A wild rollercoaster ride! Not to mention the heat and seduction happening between the pages. Enough to heat up your night. Marshall has that effect. Dominating and possessive. Yes please!
From beginning to end, this story will have you engaged and on the edge of your seat. Waiting to see what danger is coming next. I finished this in one sitting. I couldn’t nor did I want to put it down. I had to know how it all would end!!
As a whole, this book is highly entertaining. The pacing is great as well as the characters. I was completely captivated. The author has a unique style of writing and I am a huge fan of it. I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next! I highly recommend this book!! I give this 5 stars.

I really enjoyed reading Poker Face, and I was so excited when I heard that Marshall was getting his own book! He is definitely an interesting character! Just like Poker Face, Lindsey Powell started off this book amazingly!! I really love the way she begins her books, it pulls me straight into the story! Dark Roulette is book #3 in the Games We Play series, but it can be read as a standalone. It's a steamy dark romance, navigated from Marshall and Sophia's perspective. Wow! These two! Marshall and Sophia are equally stubborn, they like to get under each others' skin and the s*xual tension between them is ever so present. Sophia can surely handle Marshall, believe me it isn't an easy task yet she does it so well!!
Marshall and his cousin Natalie (the main character from Poker Face) are running the criminal/underworld together. I loved seeing Natalie and Jesse featured in this book! Marshall wants Sophia, but he doesn't want to pull her into his "darkness". Everyone knows what Marshall is capable of, but this doesn't faze Sophia she loves Marshall "dark side". She's totally a badass character! She's definitely a fighter and is not afraid in getting her hands dirty. Sophia loves to push Marshall's buttons to get a reaction from him. Marshall has an internal battle with himself he thinks that he dosen't deserve Sophia. And the more Marshall pushes her away, Sophia started to fight back not backing down! I really enjoyed how the plot unfolded; it's definitely a fast paced read! At times, I was so frustrated with Marshall's behavior! I mean, get where he was coming from, but he was just too stubborn to admit his feelings for Sophia. There was a plot twist that I didn't expect to happen! Marshall and Natalie's family are tightknit, one of my highlights was seeing them in action; plotting a plan together. Overall, a great dark romance read!

Wow, where to start...guys if you're looking for a hot and steamy book, full of gritty action, then look no further that Dark Roulette Lindsey Powell. I loved being back in the underworld and catching up with Joey, Paige, Natalie and Jesse again. It's not for the faint hearted, how Marshall makes those who cross him pay is next level 💀 but he really has found his equal in Sophia. These two are perfect for each other.

What a phenomenal read!
I loved Marshall and Sophia - what a beautiful pair 🖤 loved her strong sassy self, how she stood up to the monster and won! And I was so happy when Marshall finally admitted his feelings - he put her through the wringer!

I think Marshall is my new favourite, he's dark, twisted and delicious. I loved how Sophia stood her ground, giving it back keeping him on his toes and generally pissing him off. I just loved the back and forth!!

I was so excited to get a book about Marshall and Lindsey did not disappoint! This book is everything I have come to expect from not only this series but also this author. It is a dark mafia romance that is not short on steam!

It was good to be back in this world and this time it was with Marshall and Sophia. They both were great characters but I have to admit that sometimes I didn't like Marshall that much. Because he kept pushing Sophia away even she was perfect woman for him. Good that he realized that before it was too late. but after all this was so good book.

Dark and oh so Delicious.
This is the one I have been anticipating and excited for for SO long. I'll hold my hands up and say right now that I pestered Lindsey for this SO much. It was worth every single second of the wait.
From the first chapter, I was addicted. I couldn't put it down. And I'm so glad that chapter three was kept in too (if you know you know)!
Marshall was a deliciously dark, sexy alpha-hole and I loved him (dark soul and all). Sophia was his perfect match in every way, she can hold her own and be just as fierce and dark when she wants to be. Together they were the perfect match.
Lindsey's books are some of my favourites and her writing never fails to disappoint, and she blew my mind yet again with this one. Let's face it, I knew she would. This book was incredible. Everything expected and more. I absolutely loved every single thing about it. Characters, the darkness, the storyline, the smut. All. Of. It.

The romance in this was fab. Lots of angst, lots of back and forth as they push and pull for power not only in their relationship but in the underworld. And while the violence was sometimes a bit much for me, it was still done in a way that was necessary for the story and supported the development of the relationship of the main characters (I'll admit to skimming a scene or two though as I'm a bit of a baby haha). The steamy bits were, as always, fantastic. Overall a great read!

Marshall and Sophie don't have an easy relationship.
Marshall thinks he is in the right but Sophie is there to show him that he's not.
I loved these two so much, i hope we see them in cameo's in the future!

There was a serious level of anticipation and excitement before I got it, and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint!
This book is dark and steamy, but it’s the perfect level of dark, and the perfect level of steamy!
If dark isn’t your thing maybe move along to a fluffy romance!
Marshall is dangerously dark & seriously sexy! The chemistry between him and Sophia was spot on! Together they are the ultimate couple!
I read this in under 3 hours, I couldn’t put it down!

I cannot and will not get out how damn sexy Marshall is, darkness and all. Love it and I wanna take him home 😂 I absolutely loved him as a whole, he was consistent and perfectly written that it felt real. I also loved Sophia and her personality altogether, it was suited for the story and with everything that she's been done and done.
What I loved the most was that it was a way back home, taking a similar path to Checkmate, by Marshall pushing Sophia away to protect her and he doesn't think she can handle him. And the reason to why I love it is because it keeps to its own plot, without thinking its a copy. I loved how they both wanted each other, the sexual tension could be cut with a knife throughout the story. It was perfect their journey and the story in general, I can't fault it at all.
One of my favourite parts of the book was where Saint took Sophia and Joey and Paige helping Marshall to get her back with Natalie, Jesse, Miles and Meghan. This is one of my favourite parts because, Joey and Paige are still themselves, the people we were introduced to in Checkmate. Even in their fifties they are talking about saucy body reactions and being how they were completely in Checkmate.
My most favourite thing in this book is what Marshall says "baby" and "my woman" makes me flutters and even when he serves justice to the Falcon brothers with Sophia.
I loved it when Marshall and Sophia finally got their stuff together and got together, completely admitting and giving in to their love for each other. I loved how Marshall wanted to give her space and let her heal after the ordeal with th brothers and I flipping loved how they both laid everything down on the floor with how they feel about each other.
The perfect ending, their wedding I loved Natalie's pregnancy hormones and her words to Sophia before she got married to Marshall, it perfectly executed. I adored how Marshall finally knew that even the darkest of souls could have a light, a wife and a future.

It’s been a while since I have waited impatiently for a book to be released just so we can see what happens with the characters. After catching a glimpse of Marhsall in Poker Face I knew I need his story.
Introducing Dark Roulette.
Dark Roulette is book three in the Games We Play Series but like with the previous books they can all be read as standalones. This book features Marshall and Sophie and their dark journey together.
This is a dark steamy romance that will get you hooked within minutes, it has the fast-paced addictiveness that I love with dark romances, especially ones from Lindsey. She has that way of gripping me with her sexy as hell alphas and her kickass heroines.
What can I say about Marshall, well he’s a total badass, sexy as hell, stubborn, caring and loves with his whole dark heart. Throughout Dark Roulette we see the battle Marshall has with his feelings and conscience for Sophie. While he wants her, he doesn’t want to pull her down into his dark rabbit hole, but love has to conquer, right?
Sophie was a character that I instantly loved, her fierceness and love for Marshall pushes her boundaries to what a ‘normal’ life and love should be, but she knows that she wants Marshall, darkness and all! I loved that Sophie was a fighter and not shy from getting her hands dirty when need to.
As a couple, these two balanced out each other beautifully. The perfect mix of light and dark. Their chemistry was seriously HOT and left me wanting a cold shower!
For me this was a fantastic ending to a series that gave us strong heroines and strong heroes. Like I knew she would do, Lindsey knocked this one out of the park and I would highly recommend that you grab this book (and series) if you’re looking for strong characters, great story lines and of course steamy scenes that will leave you sweating and breathless.

Marshall isn’t a nice guy, in fact if you don’t read the description, you’d think he was an enforcer for an underworld family, but he’s much more than that….
On his head will rest the crown and title his family has worked so hard for, he’s ready to take the reigns and rule. He doesn’t need anyone except family.
But with such a dark heart, he doesn’t think he can love or is deserving of love. So he’s spiteful, mean and cruel to the only woman who could and can love him….
Can he truly open up to her, or has he left it too late?
Sophia is such a great character, very strong and resourceful. She knows who and what she wants, and I don’t think anything or anyone will get in her way.
She’s known him and his family forever, so she knows what he’s like (it’s not going to came as a shock to see his dark side)
She had her own dark side that comes out when needed.
She is just what Marshall needs, if only he would see it!!

Oh Marshall you very dirty, dirty man! Marshall loves Sophia, but believes no one can love him and his dark heart and soul so he pushes her away. But like any good dark romance, all the bad stuff has to happen before either can truly see the depth of the other to know if they can truly fight for the love. I love the push and pull of these two. This is not a cute and sweet romance, so don’t read if that’s what you need. This is dark and sexy and all sorts of mob love.
I love this series by Lindsey. Yes the books are standalones, but reading them in order just brings the circle to a complete close because who doesn’t love to see the kids from Checkmate become adults and into their own? There is just something about how these characters are written that you find no matter how black you think your heart is, it is possible to fin someone who sees it as a good quality.

Being new to Ms.Powell's work I've been looking forward to picking up her books! As soon as I found out about this one I knew I needed to read it first! I really liked this story!
Sophia and Marshall's journey isn't an easy one. These two met their matches in each other and I liked how I felt so many things throughout with them. I just struggled at certain points.
With Dark Roulette, Ms.Powell has created a good read! I'm looking forward to reading more of her work!

Another great read
I have become a big fan of Lindsey’s Books and I guarantee once you have read The Games we play series and been introduced to Joey and Paige Valentine and the Turner family you will become addicted. This series also paves the way for the next generation who are even more cut throat than the OG underworld rulers..are you ready?

Dark & Delicous
I have been excited for Marshall & Sophias book after finishing Poker Face and it did not disappoint.
Marshall is as alpha as they come and oh so dark and delicious. Sophia is strong and sassy and although not born into the underworld she fits in perfectly.
I won't give too much away of there journey but it is angsty, hot and dark.

And dangerous… everything that gets me hooked on a new book boyfriend …🙈
I mean Joey will always have my heart, but Marshall has definitely come close to claiming the top spot with him.

I received an ARC of this book and this review is my own honest opinion.
I’m really not sure where to start with this book. It was dark. At times I winced, but let me tell you that Marshall is everything you would want him to be. He’s so bad that he’s good. He thrives on heading up the family underworld with his cousin. He dishes out the most unpleasant torture. And he feels he’s unlovable because of it.
Sophia is kickass. She stands for no crap from anyone. She certainly fits well into the underworld even if she’s not blood related.
Personally I enjoyed the book more after 50% in, the storyline was much stronger and really had me wanting to keep turning the pages.
If you enjoyed previous books in this series you will love the cameos of Joey, Paige, Meghan, Miles, Natalie and Jesse.

I do love a good game!
Dark roulette what can I say. I’ve been putting this back for a while, mainly because I wanted to have the chance to read and savour and not be disturbed. So when one of my other books weren’t hitting the spot I knew exactly what I had to do… I needed a bit of Lindsey Powell and her way of dragging me back into her world and getting caught up with her men.
I knew Marshall was going to be dark but then I LOVE this series! I’ve always been a Joey and Paige fan, then I read poker face and met Nat and Jesse, and when I didn’t think the series could get any better, Marshall and Sophia was thrown into my path! Oh my days! He’s dark, delicious and dangerous! And Sophia is gorgeous, sassy and fierce. God I love a H and h that has all those qualities. Throw them together along with the rest of the characters and you’ve got yourself an explosive set of books.
So Marshall and Nat are cousins working together and taking over from both sets of parents and becoming the prince and princess of the underworld. And they rightly take their places. I’m not going to give anything away, after all if you’ve read one or two of the other books then you’ll already know Marshall and that he’s top dog. I mean for me Joey will always be top dog but I get Marshall’s appeal.
Anyhow EVERYONE needs to read this series because you won’t be disappointed. I love Lindsey’s writing. She has the ability to drag me in to her world and hooks me, not letting me go until the last word of the last page.

Oh Marshall *insert swooning emoji here* you are dark and delicious and I am soooooooo here for it! It was so nice to catch up with characters from the Checkmate world! There is so much angst in this book, I loved it. Sometimes I did shout at my kindle though because Marshall needed a good talking to, but he did come round. Its a good job I love his character lol! This book is another great addition to this world and I don't want to let them go!
