This review is for 'PRETTY PAWN' by 'Meagan Brandy' in this 'Bully God, Anthology' this took no time at all to inhale, we're introduced to, Delta, Alto (step-siblings) & Ander (tranfer student) in this short story giving us a delectable taste of what's to come spiking my anticipation levels that much more.
These characters definitely had me needing/craving more and I can't wait to see what's install for us next. This was steamy, sexy and had me hooked from the start.

Shantel writes a bully like no other and I can’t wait to see what kind of smoking hot trouble she’s going to deliver in Death Valley.
I devoured this in one sitting. Yes, it’s just a novella. But if you know me, I’m an insanely slow reader now matter how much I love a book!!

⚜️ 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖: First off, if you have never read a CL Matthews book be aware this is a DARK, emotional, no holds barred romance between two characters that aren’t afraid to push boundaries. If ANYTHING in the warning bothers you, simply don’t read and move on because it will be seen on the page!
Now for the good stuff 🖤I was obsessed with Patch and Lowell in ‘Mischief on Halloween’ and couldn’t wait for more from these two best friends, especially after that cliffy left me mouth agape and had me screaming ‘who the fuck was at the door?!?!!
And now we know. Ten months after the events of Halloween we see a different Patch Creekman. This is a man who has survived the outdated, backwards, and downright detrimental practices of conversion therapy. He’s been brutalized in unthinkable ways and all he wants is his mischief back in his life.
Lowell Montlake was once known as mischief. Now he’s grown up a little and become the President of the Zeta Lambda Epsilon (ΖΛΕ) fraternity at Dupont. The men have coined him Loki for the mischief and mayhem he loves to reign over them. Yet deep down he’s hurting. He’s angry. And more than anything he misses his best friend.
Seeing Patch and Lowell reunited had all the hate vibes you’d desire mixed in with the sexual tension you could feel about to combust off the pages. I could have spent hundreds of pages with these two. They are a beautiful couple once they come together, two halves of a whole.
Cruz Dilaurentis from last book makes an appearance again and I was not feeling that one at all. Then I met his stepbrother Moriarity Dresdon. Now I NEED, seriously NEEEEED a story of pure hate fucking from these two. Because the games they play together are both evil and enticing.
But the best surprise is how there are so many interconnected world details that make me want to do a Here Lies reread so I can spend time with the Arcadia crew.

I've been waiting so long for this to release!! I have always loved mythology and pairing it with bully romance is exactly what I never knew I needed.

Oh my goodness! What a way to start!! Two warring mafia families. The father of one wants his daughter to seduce the son of the other. She doesn't expect the feelings that occur and how she is more than willing to sleep with him. He seems to feel the same and then he realizes who she is. I flew through the pages of this and am already stalking the release of the full book. Mateo. ❤

Well, I'm pretty disappointed. I loved her Brayshaw Boys and was excited to read this. It seemed like a weird gothic romance/mystery and it was very hard for me to follow. I also felt it was paranormal at one time bc he just special violinist was released from "somewhere". I don't really understand why bc I read tons of books without feeling like I'm not "getting it". I also felt I was missing something important, like another book, maybe? I was really close to giving it one star but the end bumped it up. Also, the naughty scenes between Step brother and Step sister were SO HOT! Honestly, many will probably like it unfortunately it was too odd for me. Complete story. (I think? Still not sure.)
3. Make You Mine by Shantel Tessier ~ 5*
God- HADES
I should've known she'd get Hades! No one writes a really bad guy that you still want to sleep with better than Shantel Tessier!
This story is connected to the same characters from Make You Beg, which I liked a LOT. So, when you have the okay to sneak into someones room to tie her up and bang her...Make sure you do that to the correct girl!! I was so into this story that I was surprised when it ended. I had completely forgotten this was only a teaser. It was sexy, exciting and I can't wait for more!

Holy Batman! When I read Stella and Sebastians story *He* was one of my favorite side characters so I'm so happy to see he's getting his own story. Its going to be one good book, after reading this and knowing his secret life long obsession with Callie. I can't wait. But I really loved Ant too! 😭
**I didn't know who the God Deimos was so I looked him up and this description fits Batman perfectly...is the personal god of dread and terror. He was a son of Ares and Aphrodite ⬅Which means he is a scary guy and he's sexy as hell too!**
He's so my kinda guy!!
To enjoy this story a bit more you should read this first...Dark Halloween Knight.

Gemma is in need of a good lawyer. The best lawyer. She finds Hayden. They like each other but Gemma won't date him bc his son has been bullying her daughter for years. Hayden isn't worried though. The push/pull of their relationship is very sweet and totally fell in love with them. Same with the daughter, Parker, too. Everything seems to be going well until Jayce h's ass of a son does something terrible. This story is finished with a sequel that stars Parker & Landon, the kids and I cannot wait for it!
7. Golden Wings and Pretty Things by Kayleigh King ~ 4*
God- ZEUS
Callam and Indie's relationship is beginning to come to an end and when Indie is in desperate need of help he's nowhere to be found. But his daddy is and he's been waiting for his moment to come to his son's girlfriends rescue! Aster Banes is a great, very sexy and dominant man. He is just going to enjoy his 8 months with Indie and move on. He's not much into feelings until they start anyway. I'm looking forward to the remainder of this story.
(I just completed the full book and it was perfect!)
14. Burn Me by Lucy Smoke ~ 4*
God- ICARUS
Isaac and Aurora are about to be step siblings and neither are happy about it. Both have the same idea to sabotage each other hoping it will ruin their parents relationship. Of course, feelings begin to develop and they realize working together might be best. This was a very good story. I liked Isaac alot but felt sad for him too. He's hiding from most people that he's terrified of his own father and doesn't want Aurora dragged into a dangerous situation. Too late! I definitely want to finish this story.
9. Where Mischief Meets Rage by C.L. Matthews ~ 4*
God- LOKI
Lowell and Patch have one amazing night together but when Lowell wakes the next morning Patch is gone. Lowell is broken hearted and that turns to hate. A year later Patch shows up... I really liked this alot. Their backgrounds were interesting. I liked their friendship. The guys in the frat were a bit crazy but in a fun way. This is a complete story. Although, there were so many different characters I felt that there may be a book about them out there but IDK.
6. Boy of Fire and Ash by Sara Cate ~ 4*
God- HEPHAESTUS
As always I have to say MM books are not my fave BUT Sara Cate IS one of my one click authors so she made it work for me. The story between Pax and Thomas was taboo because there's a 14 year age gap and Thomas is Pax's teacher, which is a trope I love. The story was very good and I've already picked up Burn for Me which is the book before this one. Boy of Fire and Ash is a completed story.
4. Dark Desires by Rachel Leigh ~ 3*
God- EREBUS & NYX
This one was weird for me. I really enjoyed the push/pull of Kol and Mina's relationship but I felt like there was a whole background story I missed somewhere. Like it seems they're part of a cult or something like that. Maybe a previous book? I'm not sure but because of that, even tho the sexy scenes WERE sexy, I can't rate this one higher than a 3.
13. Half Wicked by Veronica Eden ~ 5*
God- HERMES
Ariana witnessed something she shouldn't have. Something BIG that involves Kieran the most popular and meanest boy from school. He proceeds in terrorizing her so she won't tell anyone. In the meantime, he's falling for her. Veronica Eden is a new to me author but I am eager to see other things she's written bc this was so good. Looking forward to the rest of Ariana and Kieran's story in the full upcoming novel, Half Wicked.

Quinn is completely stifled by her parents to behave in a proper manner. This includes staying away from Roman, her love but also the unapproved bad boy. I did enjoy this one but as far as " bully gods" are concerned it wasn't really that. Which is the reason for three stars. Otherwise, it was a good story that I will continue when its released.

Whenever a group of guys think its a great idea to make a bet, a girl always ends up with a broken heart. I thought Townes was a pretty good guy unless he was around his friends. He realizes that Liliana isn't the only one catching feelings. He is too but he hasn't went completely good, he's still naughty. THAT is what's going to get him in trouble. This is a new to me author and she says these are characters for an upcoming book but there's nothing on her page for it yet. I'm excited to see where the story goes.

Armani shows up for her first tattoo from the popular tattooist Kane. They end up having a steamy affair for several weeks. She probably should have told him that her most recent ex is his own brother. Each chapter starts with either Past or Present. I personally liked the past better but the present was probably more important bc they are finally dealing with how things were left. I'm curious to see how they work out their crap because they have the makings of a fantastic couple! Also, I want to read Callous Boys for Armani's cousins story.

Ok I only read Heir of Sin and Undertow, but i’m stopping with those because while Undertow was complete (there’s more to come though) Heir of Sin was just a taste and I don’t know if I can handle a bunch more stories that make me go crazy and insane waiting for the rest of the book 😂

It was a good book but I didn’t feel as connected to the main characters as I did in some of her other non RH books. Maybe because the story was short but it was still a good read.

I absolutely loved this little dark morsel. It introduced us to an anti-hero I’m going to love (I can feel it in my bones), and a heroine who is trapped and looking for a way to survive.
The physical chemistry was crazy, and I cannot wait to see how these two connect when we get their full story.
Plus, it has everything I love - dark, enemies to lovers, drug cartels.
This tantalizing short has me hooked.

Oh my goodness, that was DELICIOUS! Sam Mariano knows just how to hit the spot, and while this one felt more contemporary in nature, we still have the chemistry dynamic that I adore in the possessive, manipulative alpha hero in lawyer Hayden and the pliable and gentle heroine Gemma. Hayden is a force, pulling Gemma under into his desires quickly- this is a classic, but a bit gentler, Sam Mariano leading man. He decides what he wants- and he relentlessly gets it. This is one of the longer novellas in the batch, and Sam really builds some insane emotional and physical chemistry in this short novella. These characters are really vividly realized. Expect a bit of questionable consent, but nothing as dark as we’ve seen in her other shorts, and the bully is not who you expect. This is a complete story, but Sam has announced the secondary characters will be getting a story- which is brilliant given who they are. Sam has given us a perspective/insight in this story of the archetypal characters we often judge in bully romances, and I found it super clever that we’re getting their story BEFORE we get the one to come.

Hands down my favorite of the anthology so far- I am DESPERATE for more for this story. Veronica rights such captivating characters- the perfect marriage of dark edge and buried vulnerability, and Kieran is perhaps one of her most captivating heroes yet. This whole world is a set up for a smash hit- the side characters, the bully tension, the consuming chemistry, the whole intriguing world of Arcadia Prep. Veronica packs a lot of story into this novella, and we get to see a lot of range and energy between these characters, and I am already addicted- I need more! Even better, she has so many smart referential tidbits to the story of Hermes.

I bought this for Sam Mariano's Undertow.
I was confused at first because older characters aren't really her jam... and I was looking for a bully romance... but it seems this was really a set up for a future book. The dead wife/divorcee trope made much more sense when you realized that it was intended to set up the tragic back story for the MCs of the eventual bully book, Contempt.
I liked these characters regardless. He's a pushy bulldozer and he romances the way Sam's heros do. He's probably the most mild hero Sam has written, while still taking what he wanted.
Overall, it was a good read. A mostly complete story that sets us up for an intriguing step-brother bully romance.

If you’ve read and loved “The Four” series then this is the book you need to read next!!!

Half Wicked has been a story I’ve really been anticipating and I’m glad I got the chance to read it soon!! If you love bully romances you’ll definitely love this one. Ariana and Kieran have insane chemistry and it made reading their moments really interesting. Getting to know Ariana has been everything, I love her! She’s soft but also strong. I could totally relate to her in some ways. With Kieran it was exciting to get to know his character. He’s been intriguing from the start.
Overall Half Wicked is an enjoyable reas id you’re looking for some hate to love vibes!! I need more from these two😭

Pretty Pawn

Okay, to be honest the trope in this story isn’t necessary one of my favorites, it was written in a way that didn’t bother me so much. It was hot for sure. I went into this with an open mind, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s something I feel only Meagan Brandy could have done, 😂😂
The vibe was so cool! It was a cruel intentions meets gossip girl type vibe, and I was here for it. The short story was extremely well written, and the sexual tension was insane insane! It was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
The story sucks you in, and keeps you intrigued, you want to see what happens next. This is the start to a new world, once that Meagan has hinted at before and I’m really excited to read more about this world.

Why do I buy anthologies? Seriously...why? They always end in cliffhangers or HFN's with some unresolved issues and the actual books don't come out for what feels like forever.
It's irritating.
Anyway, I read most of the stories in here and they all were obviously way too short but all had me intrigued! If you like bully romances and are ok with cliffhangers then you definitely need to dive into the worlds these authors have created.

It comes as no surprise that as soon as this goodie landed on my kindle I jumped into Sam Mariano’s story. And I can happily say, once again, this author doesn’t disappoint. Undertow is as delicious as small treat. Even in the short amount of time this story spans it managed to make me fall for Hayden. Although he doesn’t bear the typical bully trademark only Ms Mariano owns, he’s still sinfully wicked and just as addictive.
Gemma bears the same soft and naïve traits all heroines Sam draws seem to carry; her caring nature and mama bear attitude are a winner, however, I can’t help wishing she was more determined.
Sam plants juicy seeds into the ground that hold promising future characters. I can’t wait to explore more of Landon and Parker. I have no doubt Landon will be deranged and out of control (giddy with excitement), Parker gives off some wild strong vibes, I hope we will finally see a heroine with some spunk from this formidable author.
Also a certain brother definitely piqued my curiosity🔥

This looks like a carbon copy of 𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕓𝕖𝕘, which, according to me, is pointless since that book was a hot mess, it also shows little originality as it replicates the exact same story…
I really hope this author solves her issues with the female gender, as when it comes to her female characters they are so deprived of personality it’s disheartening. I won’t even mention how lacking are the male characters… on the bright side I’m glad I got this taste so that I can avoid a disappointing read.

It comes as no surprise that as soon as this goodie landed on my kindle I jumped into Sam Mariano’s story. And I can happily say, once again, this author doesn’t disappoint. Undertow is as delicious as small treat. Even in the short amount of time this story spans it managed to make me fall for Hayden. Although he doesn’t bear the typical bully trademark only Ms Mariano owns, he’s still sinfully wicked and just as addictive.
Gemma bears the same soft and naïve traits all heroines Sam draws seem to carry; her caring nature and mama bear attitude are a winner, however, I can’t help wishing she was more determined.
Sam plants juicy seeds into the ground that hold promising future characters. I can’t wait to explore more of Landon and Parker. I have no doubt Landon will be deranged and out of control (giddy with excitement), Parker gives off some wild strong vibes, I hope we will finally see a heroine with some spunk from this formidable author.
Also a certain brother definitely piqued my curiosity🔥

Once again, Tessier's words held me captive as I furiously flipped through, devouring each and every page. Having reached the end, I am now anxiously waiting to see what's in store for us next.

Thanks to a cruel bet, their paths cross and let me just say, the chemistry between them is smoking hot. And after that ending, I cannot wait to see what happens for them next.

I received an ARC copy of Boy of fire and Ash by Sara Cate.
First time reading a full on M/M bully romance. I enjoyed the dynamic between the mc,s. Age gap of 14 years. Great story of the younger one coming out for the first time and his teammates supporting him. There will always be someone who are ignorant and will be nasty when a gay relationship comes out but they are in the minority. Looking forward to this coming out on the 22 February.

She gave us just ten chapters, but they were so complete and stellar that had drown me very deeply into this new world that she had created in here...
Townes and Liliana couldn't be more different between them but because of some cruel joke, their paths had crossed and everything that they used to know is changing completely...
I loved this short story very much and I am anticipated the complete version...
This one was like their past and I am awaiting for their future, especially after how things turned out at the end...
Hours later and I am still catching myself thinking all the possibilities of what will happen next!!!

I love the storyline of this story, it contains only 3 chapters of the upcoming book Heir of Sin . This story was like a teaser of the book, and i really got disappointed when it ended in a Cliffhanger like we have to wait for the upcoming book to read further. All the stories of this anthology is ended up in Cliffhanger Only..you all have to wait for the book here to read further. I thought it will be like a collection of short stories-i'm highly disappointed with it, imagine my face when it ended just like that. That's why I gave it 3.2 stars.
Coming back to the story, Heir of Sin is book one in the duet featuring the Torres and Serrano Cartels as war explodes around them.
Mateo & Emelia's characters intrigued me. I love the Sex scenes, we can see there chemistry instantly... they're like sizzling fire ready to combust any moment if keep too close. Mateo is a Dirty talker, his words itself is a turn on🥵. The last chapter was just 🔥🔥🔥 and the revelation-it wasn't surprising because i can see this coming at first basis but love the intensity of it. Wish I could read futher afterward but will have to wait for it.

Bully/Enemies To Lovers

My name is Megan and I have an addiction to pre-ordering anthologies for 99 cents, forgetting about them and then finding them randomly in my kindle when they finally release. Some of them have been complete shit but others like this one have had some enjoyable stories. I tell myself I am not going to buy them anymore but somehow the allure of 13+ stories for only 99 cents sucks me in every single time. So without further ado, here is what this book entails.
1.) Heir Of Sin by Holly Renee and R Holmes ( 2 Stars-MF) -This is the first 3 chapters of a mafia romance book that will be released further into the year. Emilia wants to attend college somewhere far away from where she lives to escape her creeper step-father. He agrees to this if she can seduce and take down the son of his rival. I found this to be incredibly boring and predictable and will not be keeping an eye out for this.
2.) Pretty Pawn by Meagan Brandy (1 star-MFM) -This is an 8 chapter full length story about a stepbrother/sister who like to have lots of kinky sex and the new guy that is hired and joins in. Honestly, this story lost me halfway through, I fell asleep reading it multiple times and there was some crazy twist to it but since I wasn't paying full attention, it went over my head.
3.) Make You Mine by Shantel Tessier (1 star-MF, MFM) -I hated this one so much I can't even begin to describe what its actually about because its mostly non-con. I was about to dnf this one when it ended because its only 3 chapters. I just read this author's book 'The Ritual' and really liked it but this one is not for me.
4.) Dark Knight by Tracy Lorraine (3.5 stars-MF) -This is a prequel novella and I was intrigued enough to put the duet on my TBR. This is a mafia trope and I usually don't like those types of books but I loved Daemon and Calli even if their pairing was a bit fucked up considering everything that happened in this book. Daemon has loved Calli from afar for years but has stayed away because he doesn't want to drag her into his fucked up world. Calli is in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets pulled into his life whether she likes it or not. I am really curious to find out what happens between these two in the future.
5.) Undertow by Sam Marino - Didn't read
6.) Golden Wings & Pretty Things by Kayleigh King- Didn't read. The blurb is about Zeus and the trigger warnings are cheating, non con and since the trope is boyfriend's father, I didn't even give this a try.
7.) Burn Me-Lucy Smoke -Didn't read but I didn't realize that until right this minute LOL Maybe I'll give it a chance someday?
8.) Where Mischief Meets Rage by CL Matthews- (4.5 Stars MM) -This is my favorite story in the entire book. This is a MM asexual college romance between two men who used to be best friends then became enemies. I absolutely love the besties to enemies to lovers trope especially in MM. I wasn't sure what to expect with an asexual romance but this one was great and so damn kinky. There are some heavy subjects in this book but the sex scenes were what I was hoping for when I read Headcase by Onley James earlier in the year. There's murder, knifeplay and violence galore. I urge my MM reader friends who love this type of thing to find a way to get your hands on this story. Chef's Kiss!
9.) Boy Of Fire And Ash by Sara Cate (3.5 stars MM) -This is a teacher/student MM romance with a twist. Thomas's (teacher) car breaks down and he calls a mechanic, Pax (student), to come help him out. This happens before the term starts at school and they don't know each other. The older teacher is a bit submissive and lets Pax have his way with him telling him to "Paint my desk" when he comes. It was hot. But the rest of the book is a bit odd and it ends rather abruptly. I liked it but I didn't love it.
10.) Dark Desires by Rachel Leigh-Another one I just could not get into and didn't read
11.) Half Wicked By Veronica Eden - (3.5 stars MF) -I really liked this book and its going to be released as a duet later in the year and I am here for it. Kieran and Ariana were hot together and I love all the mysteries and secrets happening in the story. Ariana overheard a conversation she wasn't supposed to and when Kieran finds out he does everything in his power to prevent Ariana from telling anyone. While he's plotting her demise, he falls in love with her. Stupid boys.
12.) Wicked Waters by Becca Steele (3.5 stars MF) -I love this author and totally loved the first 7 chapters until it ended in a cliffhanger with a note the full book will be released later in the year. Roman and Quinn meet their Freshman year of high school at a boarding school and become friends. Roman is a bad boy troublemaker and while Quinn has stayed away from Roman in the past, she's fed up with her life being a certain way and lets him in. They part for the summer but then Quinn disappears for 2 years. When she returns to campus as a senior, she doesn't want anything to do with Roman and he doesn't understand why. There is a lot that happened in the 2 years Quinn was gone but Roman is now out for revenge after feeling rejected by Quinn. All would probably be well if they had a conversation but since its high school, its going to be drama central. The cliffhanger was a wtf moment.
13.) Good Girls Don't Lie by Lindsey Iler (2 stars MF) - Liliana was such a doormat in this book that I wanted to strangle her. She's this innocent virgin who wears cardigans a size too big for her and has been told by her parents that if she has sex before marriage, God will bring hell to her and her family blah blah. She starts at this private high school and meets a boy named Townes at an underground fighting ring. He makes a bet with his friends that he can corrupt the virgin (very original, not) and sets out to do so. Liliana knows she is being treated like garbage and played but she keeps going back until something happens that makes the book end in a cliffhanger with a note that the full length novel will be released later in the year. I hated Liliana and Townes and have no desire to be near this book again. Also, the spelling/grammar in this book was atrocious. There were so many misspelled words but also the wrong word was put in places so the sentences made no sense. I can't believe I managed to read this entire story because it was such a struggle. No, just no.
14.) Ruthless God by Laura Lee (3 Stars MF) -This book interested me when I realized it tied into a prequel novella I read by this author last year in another anthology. It helped me understand what was going on in this book because I knew the other characters but I really wasn't sure if this book would appeal to me because I was on the fence with the other one. I really, really liked the chemistry between Kane and Armani and this book had angst galore because this is technically a second chance romance. I am interested in the full length book when it is released later on in the year.
This is the first time in ages, I have liked so many MF stories in an anthology. It surprised me to want to read so many full length MF stories once they release but that MM story by CL Matthews has stuck with me for weeks now and was worth the 99 cents I paid for this book. I have no idea what to rate this because the stories were so hit and miss for me. I guess 3 stars it is then.

6.) Golden Wings & Pretty Things by Kayleigh King- Didn't read. The blurb is about Zeus and the trigger warnings are cheating, non con and since the trope is boyfriend's father, I didn't even give this a try.
7.) Burn Me-Lucy Smoke -Didn't read but I didn't realize that until right this minute LOL Maybe I'll give it a chance someday?
8.) Where Mischief Meets Rage by CL Matthews- (4.5 Stars MM) -This is my favorite story in the entire book. This is a MM asexual college romance between two men who used to be best friends then became enemies. I absolutely love the besties to enemies to lovers trope especially in MM. I wasn't sure what to expect with an asexual romance but this one was great and so damn kinky. There are some heavy subjects in this book but the sex scenes were what I was hoping for when I read Headcase by Onley James earlier in the year. There's murder, knifeplay and violence galore. I urge my MM reader friends who love this type of thing to find a way to get your hands on this story. Chef's Kiss!
9.) Boy Of Fire And Ash by Sara Cate (3.5 stars MM) -This is a teacher/student MM romance with a twist. Thomas's (teacher) car breaks down and he calls a mechanic, Pax (student), to come help him out. This happens before the term starts at school and they don't know each other. The older teacher is a bit submissive and lets Pax have his way with him telling him to "Paint my desk" when he comes. It was hot. But the rest of the book is a bit odd and it ends rather abruptly. I liked it but I didn't love it.

11.) Half Wicked By Veronica Eden - (3.5 stars MF) -I really liked this book and its going to be released as a duet later in the year and I am here for it. Kieran and Ariana were hot together and I love all the mysteries and secrets happening in the story. Ariana overheard a conversation she wasn't supposed to and when Kieran finds out he does everything in his power to prevent Ariana from telling anyone. While he's plotting her demise, he falls in love with her. Stupid boys.
12.) Wicked Waters by Becca Steele (3.5 stars MF) -I love this author and totally loved the first 7 chapters until it ended in a cliffhanger with a note the full book will be released later in the year. Roman and Quinn meet their Freshman year of high school at a boarding school and become friends. Roman is a bad boy troublemaker and while Quinn has stayed away from Roman in the past, she's fed up with her life being a certain way and lets him in. They part for the summer but then Quinn disappears for 2 years. When she returns to campus as a senior, she doesn't want anything to do with Roman and he doesn't understand why. There is a lot that happened in the 2 years Quinn was gone but Roman is now out for revenge after feeling rejected by Quinn. All would probably be well if they had a conversation but since its high school, its going to be drama central. The cliffhanger was a wtf moment.
13.) Good Girls Don't Lie by Lindsey Iler (2 stars MF) - Liliana was such a doormat in this book that I wanted to strangle her. She's this innocent virgin who wears cardigans a size too big for her and has been told by her parents that if she has sex before marriage, God will bring hell to her and her family blah blah. She starts at this private high school and meets a boy named Townes at an underground fighting ring. He makes a bet with his friends that he can corrupt the virgin (very original, not) and sets out to do so. Liliana knows she is being treated like garbage and played but she keeps going back until something happens that makes the book end in a cliffhanger with a note that the full length novel will be released later in the year. I hated Liliana and Townes and have no desire to be near this book again. Also, the spelling/grammar in this book was atrocious. There were so many misspelled words but also the wrong word was put in places so the sentences made no sense. I can't believe I managed to read this entire story because it was such a struggle. No, just no.
14.) Ruthless God by Laura Lee (3 Stars MF) -This book interested me when I realized it tied into a prequel novella I read by this author last year in another anthology. It helped me understand what was going on in this book because I knew the other characters but I really wasn't sure if this book would appeal to me because I was on the fence with the other one. I really, really liked the chemistry between Kane and Armani and this book had angst galore because this is technically a second chance romance. I am interested in the full length book when it is released later on in the year.
This is the first time in ages, I have liked so many MF stories in an anthology. It surprised me to want to read so many full length MF stories once they release but that MM story by CL Matthews has stuck with me for weeks now and was worth the 99 cents I paid for this book. I have no idea what to rate this because the stories were so hit and miss for me. I guess 3 stars it is then.

Review of Boy of fire and ash by Sara Cate
It was way too short, and packed with a lot of things. What was missing: love, in my opinion. Pax and Thomas had attraction, compatibility, common kinks, but what they considered love happened too fast for me, and I couldn’t see it.
BUT it was hot! Sulfurous even. Pax and Thomas’s relationship is sexual right away, but I won’t complain. And when they’re together, the temperature rises. They even manage to sneak in tender moments between intercourses.
I wasn’t sure it fit the anthology’s theme. They weren’t really enemies. They didn’t even hate each other. Pax was angry, mostly with himself, hence the bouts of hate sex, but it was never against Thomas. Which also explains the subtle shifts in their dynamic, while Pax starts to accept himself for who he is.
The body positivity was heartwarming. Pax’s scars weren’t fetishized, and Thomas didn’t dismiss them, nor did he sexualize them. He just accepted them as part of Pax, and a proof of his strength.
A hot as hell MM short that is a good addition to the anthology.

Review of Pretty Pawn by Meagan Brandy
I don't know how Meagan Brandy managed to create something extremely addictive, filthy taboo, ridiculously sexy and heart stopping like Pretty Pawn in just few chapters. But she did and she did it spectacularly. Delta, Alto and Ander are ready to rock your world. The passion. Meagan Brandy dropped tiny nuclear bombs in every chapter. You are definitely not ready for this level of deviant, twisted and emotional mess. Read till the last word.

Kol and Luna's twisted and explosive love. The elite society called The Blue Blood. The academy of rich people where Kol rules with his friends called the Lawless. Secrets. Passion. Emotions pouring in with angst and heartache. Kol is the dark side but Luna wants that monster too. It is just the beginning as Luna and Kol's story is complete but we have a whole new series coming that's set in the same world featuring their daughter Scarlett!

Just like ‘Make You Beg’ this book takes a dark turn, pulling you right into the action and leaving you with so much intrigue.
I’ve got a crush on our heroine already, she’s going to give them a run for their money and I can’t wait to see her bring Dax to his knees! And all the dirty stuff they will do together!
I’m a sucker for a bully romance and just as the reapers are about to start circling her the story ends! Aaagh.
This is just a small snippet of this story that is in the Bully God anthology and I’m already needing more! I can’t wait until we get the full book.
