The Journey of Vas and Vera continues………I found this book to be heartfelt and deep. It delves into Vera’s relationship with her father and her family as well as Vas and Demyan relationship. There are also answers to Vas’s health issues which are painfully tragic but I do hope that maybe Vera can help to maybe persuade Vas to seek more treatment and maybe a second opinion. Life isn’t always tidy and perfect but these two together makes you want to believe miracles can happen.

I am looking forward to the last book in Vas and Vera’s journey. I have an inkling that there might be a surprise in store for these two but while I will think it’s absolutely wonderful, they may not. But it may not even be the case, just my heart hoping.

Same review for the three books in this story pubbed so far.

I have loved so, so many of this author's books and her most powerful successes have been those stories that are done in one book, two at most. This story could have been up there at the top, but because it has been stretched across four books it's definitely lost it's oomph and instead is just going round in circles.

Will I read the final book? Hmmm the jury is still out on that one 🤷

I cannot even express how invested I am in this series. Vas and Vera are consuming me in the best way possible. I swear this author is a wizard because I lose track of time when I read her books. It ceases to exist.

I can't wait to see how this ends.

A gripping third instalment to this saga, which had me hooked and feeling a whole host of emotions throughout.

Vas is Vas, as we've already learnt in the first two books. He is unapologetically him and feels no remorse over his actions, except maybe sometimes when it comes to Vera. "Mat, I will personally pull the trigger and dig your grave." After kidnapping Demyan on his arrival, the two not so unexpectedly are at odds with each other. These two made me laugh whenever they interacted and I loved seeing their relationship develop throughout this book. Naturally, with both of them being alpha's, it was always going to be a complicated relationship, but given they both have a love for Vera and also a healthy respect for one another, they begrudgingly begin to accept each other.

"If I don't have a return date for my wife relatively soon, you're going to have a second guest show up on your doorstep with even less warning than I."

Once again, I absolutely adored seeing Demyan's presence in this and I can't wait to get round to his story because he seems like such an interesting character with a very intriguing backstory. One of the reasons why I liked this book so much was because of him and how we finally got to see him and Vera interact in person. "I don't think you realise that you saved my life a long time ago." I could definitely see both their points whenever they argued but oh my, did I cry real tears during the scene where Demyan is leaving!

Seeing Vera and Vas interacting in this was a mixture of fascination and laughter. Vera's definitely gotten better at putting her foot down when it comes to Vas' anger and she definitely knows how to stick her ground when needed. Seeing her trying to protect Vas' secrets reminded me of Cross and Catherine's relationship and I thought it was really strong of her to still keep those secrets or try not to give them all away, even when those closest to her were trying to get answers. I loved seeing their developing physical relationship too. This series is a slow burn one, but this one definitely had the most steam so far and some of the scenes, especially the dress shop one, were steamy. "Stop pretending like the little slut inside of you isn't weeping right now." I loved that although there's a big age gap and Vas has previously been married, Vera is quite confident in herself and we didn't get the usual stereotypical jealousy storyline from her side.

And of course, Igor and Kiril get honorary mentions in this. Both of their characters make me laugh so much, especially with the way they deal with Vas. "We really need to get a handle on how you deal with your problems." The relationship between Igor and Kiril melts my heart and I absolutely adore Kiril! I'm looking forward to seeing what's in line for Igor given Vas' decisions towards the end of this book, both in relation to Kiril and their future.

A 5* for me naturally. I love BK's world building skills and all the charcters in this series so far. I really hope Kiril gets a book, and likewise possibly Hannah and Igor???? Although there was no hints to those two being a future couple... I don't know, I have hope and I think maybe, just maybe, they might be??

*ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

*TW: mentions of substance abuse. Please heed any trigger warnings the author may have noted.

TBWLH is book 3 in 'The Beast of Moscow' saga. It is NOT a standalone and should be read in order. There will be one more book in relation to this saga after this book.

I spent all day yesterday processing my thoughts on this book and... I loved it.
I loved how now we saw a glimpse of Vera and her dad's relationship. The why's and the how's it was how it was. I liked how by the end of the book their relationship was a lot better... it made me really happy.
I loved how Vas is so different with the people he cared about and yes I'm angry at him for what happened in the end but still I understand why he acted that way... I don't like it but I understood why.
Marlow is still my favorite thing ever.
Now I can't wait for the last book. This conclusion is going to be my favorite thing ever or it will end me still I can't wait!

Thank you to Indiesage PR and the author for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

So it's 4 books not 3.... Grrrr.
Tbh it's pretty boring, not much really happened, not sure why it couldn't have been a trilogy.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No other woman or man drama.
Cliffhanger.

You know, I was willingly engaged for the first two books thinking this trilogy might actually work for me. It would have if this book had actually served as more than filler. With a cliffhanger ending. And an as yet unpublished 4th book. FFS.

I finally gave up on this one folks, the writing just gets worse with each book. The author turned what should have been 1 book into 4, I’m guessing greedy grab? This author was on fire in her early books, but it appears has developed a lazy writing style. This series was seriously the worst, from shallow writing to bad editing. Just save the Money trust me.

"Marry me, Vera, promise me that I won't be alone...and I'll give you the world."

"A love like his would absolutely ruin her."

"Am I your love? Whatever's left of it, anyway. Every bit of it is yours."

"For love, there wasn't a price Vaslav wouldn't pay."

"What exactly does a man gift to the woman who reminds him of heaven?"

No one does romance like Bethany Kris, and only she can turn a beast of a man like Vas into a romantic figure. Vera and Vas are going forward with their marriage but there's so many obstacles in their way, but mostly due to Vas. There's his sickness, the fact that all his enemies want him gone, his distrust of people, not to mention what his mother and what she might be planning. We get a little bit more of his backstory here too, and you can't help but feel some empathy for Vas. After a lifetime of darkness and pain, of course he would want someone with him in his last days. As cold as Vas once was, it made me really enjoy how he loved on Vera here. That very short date, his kisses, his gift to her, I think Vas has shown Vera love the only way he knows how.

I also really enjoyed seeing Demyan and Vera here too. You get insight into their relationship, and answers as to why Vera's in Moscow. Demyan lets his daughter go so that she can live her life, but at the end of the day, family is always there for you no matter the distance and time. There are so many other interesting characters here too, such as Hannah, Igor, and Kiril, and I hope they all get their parts in the saga too. Kiril's fate is a little uncertain here, and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see more of him in the future. There's one more Vas and Vera book left, and I'm excited to see them again!

Another enjoyable read in this ongoing saga. This story focused on learning more about both Vaslav and Vera and their intimate lives. We loved the emotion brought forth between Vera and her father, they had unfinished business. Vera's father is not a man to show vulnerability, but, the love he had for his daughter was worth it to bridge the gap between them. We loved the pride her father saw in her and also learned she was the same little girl who left him years all those years ago, just more spicy and a fire breathing dragon when she needed to be. We also saw Vaslav and Vera's father worked on a relationship of sorts as well but, Vaslav had a funny way of forging that one.

Vaslav still dark and dangerous as ever, we learned a bit more of his childhood and about his relationships and what drove the man to do the things he did. We learned the why of the migraines and headaches. Vera is Vaslav match in every way and a balm to his soul we love how different he was with her to a certain extent without giving up his control but, we will always have a kitten with claws when it comes to his women, and you could tell he secretly loved her fire and passion, and he absolutely adored her.

Overall, it was an in depth read that made you connect with the characters even more. You got more insight into Vaslav in what makes the man tic. Vera is such a great character that we absolutely love she is a treasure to read about, and she makes us laugh, and we love her fire and spirit. We were hoping for the end to their story but, it seems there is one more chapter to see if this couple reaches their happily ever afters. I am hoping for several surprises next time around and can't wait.

4.5 STARS!!!

No shocker here, another great book from the saga. Vas did frustrate me at times when he closes himself to Vera, alas he redeemed himself because he revealed his thoughts more than he did in the previous books. One of my favorite scenes from this book was his first official meeting with Hannah, Vera’s best friend. Like Vera, I was scared that any wrong word from Hannah would flip Vas off. Yet, he proved us wrong (in a very very good way). Despite him being a mob boss, being with Vera brought out the smiles and laughter that has been missing from his life from quite some time. I fell in love with Vera even more here. That girl has a backbone and she’s never scared of telling the truth to Vas! You go girl!

Again, very happy to be reunited with Mara, Igor, Kiril and Marrow. Such lovely side characters that I will miss when the saga ends. Demyan’s (Vera’s father) appearance was appreciated too! It’s nice to see Vas interact with another mob boss in a *peaceful* way. Despiteh the slight slow burn this saga has, when the steam hits, IT HITS. Vas always says the right things to make me feel all gooey inside!! Coconut oil? Um WOW.

Despite the saga having the usual mafia tropes; forced proximity.etc, I love that Vera has a backbone compared to other heroines in mafia romance books I’ve read. She genuinely enjoys Vas’s presence from the start, despite all his flaws. That one scene where we got to find out the diagnosis on Vas broke me. Vera is such a trooper, seriously!

P.S, I’ve seen on Bethany Kris’s website that there might be more books added to the saga? Probably from another couple? Although we’ve yet to see any interaction of Hannah and Igor…. MAYBE a story about them would be interesting!

A terrific continuation of this mafiya series. I love the Russian setting that’s so different from the US. Something else that different than most other mafia stories is that Vas doesn’t really do much business. He leaves it up to his second in command, Igor. I love Igor as he pushes back at Vas when a plan goes wrong. I thought a couple of times he went to far and Vas was going to retaliate. Held my breath waiting for the outcome. I so hope Igor gets a story. And then there’s my sweetheart. The young rascal Kiril. I loved him the minute he popped up and couldn’t believe where he landed at the end of this story. He has to be okay but it’s a great setup for a new series. Brutal! I haven’t even gotten to the lovely Vera and the cliffy from the last story. Well, Vera’s trudging along getting ready to become Mrs. Beast. There are some really interesting developments especially when Vas takes care of one of their pesky enemies and plans a sweet wedding gift. The interactions between Vera’s father and Vas were startling and revealing. I loved their budding relationship and Demyan’s help. We get more insight to Vera and her relationship with her father. What really grows is Vera and Vas’s relationship to the point Vera isn’t afraid of the Beast and Vas lets her in. My heart was bursting! A happy event comes off without a hitch but a loved is left in peril and missed the big happening. I will say I’m not happy with one decision the couple makes and I’m so sad about the state of Vas’ condition. I can’t wait for the conclusion of the thrilling series. Loved it!

This story just keeps getting better and better. I was highlighting so much in this book. These sentences that just struck me to the core, scenes that left me so utterly satisfied.
I love continuing to watch Vas and Vera's relationship grow, them finding out just how much they mean to one another more and more. And how much they willing to give to the other, do for the other.
And as always, I love getting more insights into what has made Vas, Vas. I also liked seeing into Vas and Igor's relationship and how it formed and withstood a lot. And seeing Vas form new relationships, even if reluctantly.
There were so many things that came to fruition in this book going back to the first that had me grinning like crazy. To see the author tie it all together, the past and present colliding, and still leaving me wanting more in the future.
Secrets are also revealed in this book that have been woven through the other 2 books as well, both giving me answers but making me very curious as to what they mean for what's to come.
Although I was mad at Vas towards the end of the book, the ending scene was beautiful. Everything about it was beautiful.
I can't wait for the next part of their story.

This series gets more and more enlightening with each installment. There are some distressing revelations, shedding light on things that have only been hinted at before.

The full extent of Vaslav’s condition is quite heartbreaking even though he accepts the painful effects and the possible outcome. Vera is ever so understanding and copes with the situation just as well. There is a vulnerable side to Vaslav that has me warm up to him despite his shortfalls. Vera lightens his burden whereas he does anything in his power to make her happy.

It's brutal and raw, but romantic just the same. I am looking forward to the final installment. There are different scenarios going through my head and I just hope that there is a positive solution. This series has got better and better. It sure brings a myriad of emotions.

I received an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I honestly thought that The Beast of Moscow was a trilogy, and while I'm delighted that we get more of Vas & Vera, I'm also upset that I have to wait to know how it will all end up LOL! Normally I tend to get so upset at a hero who is who he is no matter what, but somehow, I loved that Vas is unappolically himself & even loved him despite the fact that I did want to choke him out more than once this round. Vera is an amazing heroine who is finally having to face her family dynamics which added new depth to the already deep journey. Seriously, there was angst for days that did my emotions in, especially with Vas' health issues that he's not going to deal with have me in fear for what's ahead for them. I do know that no matter what, I'M HERE FOR IT ALL, but I don't want to cry Bethany-Kris! Of course with it being crime families, there are twists & action, but thankfully there's heat & humor to balance it out so now the wait for the conclusion starts! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book is more emotional than the two previous installments in The Beast of Moscow saga.
The Beauty Who Loved Him is delightful, alluring and enticing. It is a beautiful story and well written. Vas and Vera's relationship is taken to another level, and we see more of who Vas is not as the Russian mafia boss but as a man. I enjoyed how Vera stands up to Vas more and holds her own against the most feared man in all of Russia. I appreciated Vas's vulnerable moment and showing some emotions.

The Beauty Who Loved Him is a slow burn; it is not steamy and spicy, but there are moments when Vera and Vas do heat things up. This did not take away from the story, and you really focused on the dynamic of their relationship as a couple. The secondary characters were great, and Kiril and Demyan are funny and bring depth to the story.

The book ends in a cliffhanger, which I expected. I want to know what happens to Kiril. Will he reveal any of The Beast's secrets to the authorities? Will Vera get the dance school? Will Vas be able to retire from the Vory brotherhood.

The story continues....

With each new book released in this series we learn a little more about each character and those nagging questions from the previous one. Vera has been a bit of an enigma to me I knew parts of her but some things like her relationship with her father had been hinted and teased at. Father and daughter are reunited, I liked that it wasn't completely harmonious so we get see the dynamics between them. I had thought Vas's story was complicated before but now that man needs both a miracle and a boot up the bum. There are two bright lights for me Vas and Demyan's relationship and the growing bond between the lovers.

If like me you thought this was a trilogy you will be happily and anxiously waiting on the last book with everything crossed for Vas and Vera.

This is a story I didn't want to end. I am totally mesmerized with Vera and Vaslav's love story. Loved the part about Demyan and his "visit" with Vaslav, one Mob Boss to another Mob Boss.  Especially with Demyan being the Future Father-in-law. That was a ticking time bomb. Vaslav is such a Beast and I kept thinking this is never going to work. Vera is extraordinary in how she loves him. Heck, I don't care if he is a Beast, I love him!  I cannot say enough about what an exceptional love story this is. This was a wedding I couldn't wait to happen. And what comes next in book 4?
FYI...Just finished re-reading the entire series with Demyan, Gia, and Claire. Now re-reading Anton and Viviana's (Demyan's parents) story again...definitely read these books if you haven't!

Vas will do anything for those he cares about which includes how he handles Vera’s father by his own set of rules with no regard to how it impacts anyone else. If this isn’t enough dram than we also have the choices that he is making regarding his health.

Vera once again proves that she has the strength to be Vas’s equal as she knows which battles are worth fighting and which battles she should retreat from. We discover more about her past and what shaped her into the woman she has become.

The love between burns stronger while the emotions blaze higher and leave us needing the conclusion for this series and this compelling couple.

This beauty and the beast story has me entrenched in emotion!

As with all of Ms. Bethany-Kris' work, I start to read, and just Cant Stop!

This is an amazing love story! One you don't know if it will end up happy, but one you can't look away from until the happy or bitter end!

The characters Ms. Bethany-Kris shows us are deep and so worth getting to know, faults and all!

What's next? I don't know. As a romance reader, I have my desires. I will absolutely wait, desperately, but will wait to see!

Excellent!

This is the 3rd book in Vas and Vera’s story, and although I though this would be a trilogy, I am pleased that there will be a 4th book. It does not bode well when one mob boss who kidnaps another, especially when one of them is your future father-in-law. Vas and Vera’s love is epic, and I loved the family dynamics. This is a well written story which has an intricate and in-depth plot, and is a heartfelt story with family, tension, undeniable chemistry, and love. I look forward to reading the next book in this awesome series and I highly recommend this talented authors work.

The beauty who loved him is the third installment in the Beast of Moscow.I thought the series comprised of three books but there are four books in the series so one more to go.
The book delves more into the family dynamics of Vera and her dad ,Vas and Demyan and I loved each and every minute of the book. The medical problems that Vas is dealing with are explained so i am extremely happy but yes more will be explained in the final book and I cannot wait.
Thank you once again for delivering a master piece Bethany.

I love this series but a few things are pissing me off. Why won’t Bethany just say that this is a series ? The books just keep going on and on , when you get to the ending there is no sign that it’s the last chapter until you get to the “Dearest Readers “ part. Like ?!!! I’m getting so mad . It even took me a minute to find this book on her Goodreads profile so I could read it , because it’s not labeled as a series. I love this author and I support her books but the out of no where cliff hangers and her not writing that’s it’s a series is seriously dissatisfying .

Vas is the type of man who takes what he want's when he want's. Right from the beginning his actions speak louder than words, he fights hard but loves harder when it comes to Vera. While I do enjoy the character development / growth between their relationship I felt like nothing really happened in The Beauty Who Loved Him....there was no plot, and I was left twiddling my thumbs expecting more unfortunately. Vas & Vera were hardly perfect but together they just fit like a puzzle piece. It will be interesting to see how the saga all ends, can't wait to see.

Loved it!

I’m pretty sure I say this about every book she writes but this series has definitely become my favorite. There’s just something about Vas that you can’t help but love. He’s unapologetically rough around the edges. However, that just makes him even more appealing to me. It takes a strong woman to stand by his side and that’s exactly what Vera is. Graceful, beautiful & strong. I can’t wait for the last book, but I am sad to see this couples story to come to an end. I foresee a lot of re-reads in my future.

This story a slow burn. You're watching Vera and Vaslav fall in love in real time.
Not sure why it is not a trilogy but then again you realize there has to be more.
This story is simple and complex at the same time.
The 4th installment will be a révélation.
