Great next chapter in the series!!

Another super twisty mafia tale by Sasha Leone. Well written and action-packed from beginning to end. There was tons of chemistry between the two and right from the beginning and their smexy times were 🔥🔥🔥. I think the only drawback for me was that I did not enjoys the characters as much as I do with Sasha's books. Both of them seemed very impulsive and emotionally immature for people in their positions. I still enjoyed this chapter of the Brutal Reign series and I'll definitely be reading the next book in the series!

OMG – I am absolutely in love with Sasha Leone’s books!! One by one, each “king” though they vow to not fall in love, always seem to fall! This story is dark, intense and full of passion. This is the story of Leo and Sophia. Leo is leader of the Black Delphi, while Sophia is the princess of a Greek mafia family. Although she was a princess, she was taught the ways of leading since the age of 9. While she always dreamed of white knights and prince’s, her father took all of that away from her to make her forget about fantasies. Sophia’s father killed Leo’s father and in retaliation, Leo killed Sophia’s father. Although Sophia was set to take over the Greek Mafia, her father’s “untouchable” man Retsos has other plans and wants Sophia to marry Leo so they can wipe out the Russians and the Irish.
When Sophia and Leo first meet, there is a spark, but there is also hatred. Sophia doesn’t want anything to do with the man who killed her father other than get revenge. And Leo doesn’t want anything to do with the enemy. When things don’t go the way either Sophia or Leo want, Leo decides to kidnap Sophia right out from under Retsos nose. Sophia is stronger than she looks, feisty, and doesn’t seem to be afraid of Leo. Has Leo met his match?

OMG... THIS IS NOW OFFICIALLY ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SERIES 😍😍😍
I'm so freaking in love with the world of secret, lies and deceit and action and clashes of the clans, and much more that Ms. Leone has created in this series.
This one is about Leo, the youngest brother of the Barinov family and Sophia the Greek princess.
The war against the Greeks is still raging and yet amidst that a proposal has come through that for peace between the Kilpatricks and the Greek mafia, a marriage contract can be drawn to strengthen both sides.
As now after head of Greeks was killed, their princess, the only Heir has taken over and Leonid being the only single man, the duty falls onto his shoulder.
But Leo has no intention of marrying until he sees the Greek beauty Sophia. But something still feels suspicious as to why are the Greeks suddenly wanting peace.
Sophia has been raised to be cold Hearted in this world by her father. But she still is a queen yet a sweet girl at heart.
She has no intention of marrying a stranger but the only man she cares about and thinks of as her uncle is captured by the Ruthless second in command, Retsos.
Until she can save him, she bids her time. What she never expected was in captive to find a savior in Leonid, the blue eyed, blonde haired prince.
AHH... There's again so much going on behind the scenes. Sudden attacks and sneaky chases and all the delicious drama and action. I freaking loved every minute of this journey.

This is part of a series of books but can all be read as a standalone!! I've not read any of the others In the series but I can tell you now I will be if they are as good as this one!!!!
Book centers around Sophia who is from a Greek mafia lead family and Leo who is the leader of the Black Delphi, they've both been at loggerheads for years. So when there is an arranged meeting between the two of these, proposing an arranged marriage, a truce between the two families, one is interested the other not so much.
Oof the hate between these two, wow!!!! You can feel it so much when reading! But also with that comes an attraction between the two that neither of them saw coming!! Sophia is strong female lead and I ruddy love her, she's feisty and knows what she wants, Leo is strong willed and hotter than hot lol. Both of these characters really are amazing to read and the author really kept the story flowing so much so I couldn't put my kindle down and even drained it of its battery for this book lol.
Honestly I can tell you now you won't be disappointed at all and I'm now gonna get the rest in this series to read.

Fantastic Mafia romance
This is one of my top favorite mafia series and each book somehow manages to outdo the last. Leo has been a favorite of mine for a while and he more then lived up to my expectations. Sophia is a fantastic match for him. This was filled with action, suspense, drama and steamy romance. I just devoured this book. So excited for Ray's book.

Oh goodness. I don't even know where to start really. This is my first time reading Sasha Leone and I am hooked. That's the truth. I should probably first tell you that this is a dark romance and it might hold triggers for some readers. It is also the fifth book in the Brutal Reign series, though it can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Leo and Sophia. He is the leader of the Black Delphi and Sophie is the daughter of a Greek mafia family. They call her a mafia princess but Sophie is so much more than that. From the age of nine she has been taught to lead. As a little girl though she dreamed of a white knight or a prince but her father didn't like her having a fantasy and put an end to all that nonsense in his mind. Leo is out for revenge though because Sophia's father killed his dad and then he kills Sophie's dad. Retribution. Revenge. It is an act that is about to put Sophie as the Don of the Greek Mafia. However her father's "untouchable" man Retsos is about to put his plans in motion and thinks that Sophia should Marry Leo so they can wipe the Irish and the Russians off the face of the earth. When these two meet the sparks fly but they also in equal measure hate each other. How can you fall for or even marry the man that killed your father? Leo also doesn't want a thing to do with Sophia. However things are about to not go the way they are supposed to and Leo is taking Sophia right out from under the Retsos nose. Could Leo be making a huge mistake or did he just meet his match in every sense of the word? You have to read to find out. It thought this was a great book and I devoured it. I loved to have my nose in this book and was actually sad when it ended. I could have spent a lot of time with these two and never grown tired of it. The opening is shocking and I feel her slowly losing her faith in happy ending and the amount of blood on her hands. Even thou she didn't do the kills and Father forced her to make the choice for each boy...no spoilers
Queen Sopia & King Leo love story is like a cat & mouse game. They are trying to figure each other other and we learn the true reason why Sophia sent the letter. I was surpsies what the purpose of the letter was and that the mafia underworld is complicating especially when you are protecting someone you love...no spoilers
Once again which is why I LOVE THIS SERIES, we have action, expulsions, fight scenes that just add another layer of suspense. OH the steamy dark romance that Leo & Sophia is perfect, just simple perfect. The tension between was getting higher and higher then SNAP😍🔥 roughlu 50% mark is the happy & steamy point of their love. Yes it's a slow enemies to lovers romance but it suits their story perfectly. I don't want to spoil too much but it's link with their past, family choices and the underworld...no more spoilers or hints !!
I love Maeve and you need to read the previous book to understand why i love this women !! The witty banter with everyone still makes me smile soo much even with all the suspense. Which is good to have a little giggle .... no more spoilers

Ok. This book simply blew me away!! Dark Mafia romances are my favorite books to read and this book was the best I've read in a long time. I really really liked Sophia's character. She was smart, fierce and mouthy. Wasn't ever going to back down without a fight. Her emotions was what drove her. I loved Leo's character right away. He definitely had that alpha, leader personality. Nothing was going to stand in his way of something he wanted. They both were stubborn and butted heads quite a bit till they reached some common ground. This dark story had it all. There was plenty of suspense, tension, violence and some steamy scenes that really heated it up. I would definitely recommend reading.

I am in love with this series. Sasha keeps us going with these characters by bringing unique and exciting storylines together and keeping us guessing. The chemistry between Sophia and Leo jumps right at you but they keep it at a slow burn until it is so hot they are about to melt. The story is so strong that the sex is just an extra bonus!

I thought that the previous books were awesome how wrong I was. This is the badest, hottest thrill ride yet. I was captured in every way possible. I felt every emotion possible from the suspense to the action to the heat in the bedroom with romance as a sweet desert. If you haven’t read anything is the series by this author, you are missing out on one of best books I have ever read in my fifty-nine years on this earth.

Sasha Leone has become one of my all-time favorite authors because she is a writer who truly knows how to tell a story with heart and soul and guts! Each one of her novels has layer upon layer of extremely well developed characters you will love and hate simultaneously, and don’t think you’ve read her stories before because each chapter takes you on a new journey, one you never could have anticipated as she surprises and surpasses her previously complex plot lines! Ms. Leone adds unknown and unforeseen elements that keep the reader furiously turning one page after another to find out what comes next. Twisted Lover is the 5th book in the Brutal Reign series and is one of her best! This story is about Sophia Xiphias and Leonid Barinov, children of powerful Greek Mafia and Russian Bratva bosses, who are sworn enemies, but promised in marriage to one another to bring peace to the two warring families! Leo executed Kostas Xiphias, Sophia’s father, and head of the Greek Mafia, and then stole Sophia who inherited her father’s throne upon his death. OH MY EVER LOVIN HELL! These mafia men Sasha Leone creates tend to set my teeth on edge at the beginning with their questionable actions to be honest, and Leo is no exception. He kidnaps Sophia, and does some not so nice things to her at first so you bet your a** I was calling him all kinds of colorful metaphors. Of course they're generating so much heat that I needed a fan on me despite the fact that my state has cooled way down this week, and it won't be long before they light the sheets on fire. Of course, in the line of business both are in (she's the leader of her Greek crime family despite the fact that someone else is trying to take the crown away) there are all kinds of things going on to provide the twists coming in hot. See, Sophia is in the center of everything happening, and there are a lot of moving parts trying to get at her, and Leo isn't giving her back at that point. This story was one of those stories that I couldn't put down from the moment I picked it up until every last page was devoured while leaving me needing more so it's safe to say that I'm super excited for the next book even though I'm not ready to say goodbye yet! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Twisted Lover was dark, mafia perfection. I have been hitting the jackpot lately with new to me authors and Sasha Leone is another author going on my favorites list. This is book five of the Brutal Reign series but can easily be read as a standalone.
This enemies to lovers trope focuses on Leo and Sophia. Leo is the head of the Black Delphi who killed Sophia’s father himself. Sophia has been raised by her father to take over the Greek Mafia. Advisors think it would be best for both organizations if Leo and Sophia got married. Talk about complicated! There is a reason people say there is a fine line between love and hate. The potential for passion unlike neither have known is definitely present. I loved the tension and chemistry that couldn’t be ignored. These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other. She was meant to be his queen and he, her king.
This was one wild and exciting ride from the first page to the last. All the action, hidden intentions, suspense, and twists kept me engaged throughout. I enjoyed all of the characters as well as the plot and this author’s writing style. I can’t wait to read all of her other books. I highly recommend this powerful romance. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

been at loggerheads with them for a long time. The Greeks have for years, cruelly taken young boys from families all over, making them fight to the death. One is chosen to be taken as their slave, the rest are disposed of, as Sophia was privy to at the tender age of nine. It effectively snuffed out her childhood. They assassinated Leo’s father, and Leo, the leader of the Black Delphi assassins, took out Sophias father himself.
When Sophia’s untouchable and untrustworthy second in command, Retsos, arranges a meeting between the two of them, proposing an arranged marriage to broker a truce and strengthen their alliance, under the guise of it being Sophia’s suggestion, it’s clear to Leo that she’s not interested. So why write him the letter in the first place? The hate between the two of them is palpable but there’s an instant attraction that neither expected, can deny, or understand. How can you possibly be that attracted to someone you abhor?
Leo instinctively knows that something isn’t right, so that same night he kidnaps Sophia from where they are staying. He’s determined to get to the bottom of both the confusion and attraction, Sophia is as determined to fight him all the way. But Leo plays dirty with the interrogation techniques he chooses to use on the beautiful young woman. The way that Leo can control her body and make him crave him, means that the two of them eventually begin to talk.
This is a well written, dark and smouldering story that keeps you turning the pages. Superb.

After the death of her father, Sophia became nominal head of their Mafia family. However, it was Retsos, her father's right hand man who was in control holding Sophia's long time protector hostage for her good behavior. Retsos wanted to marry Sophia to Leonid, head of the Russian Bratva. The meeting between them did not end well and later that night Leo kidnapped Sophia from her home. Leo felt a connection to Sophia and wanted answers, instead all he received was more questions. This book was an absorbing read as Leo and Sophia discover more about each other as their attraction to each other deepens. I enjoyed reading this book and watching the attraction between these two enemies to deepen into love. The ending of this book was explosive and twisted, a fitting conclusion to their romance!

This is the 5th book in this amazing series and is Leo and Sophie’s story. Sophie is a Princess as the daughter of the Don of the Greek mafia, and Leo is the head of the Black Delphi, and when his father is killed by their enemy, he is fuelled with hate and vengeance, and he kills Sophie’s father in retaliation. The sparks fly between Leo and Sophie, and he kidnaps her, but he may just have met his match with her, and their chemistry in undeniable. This is a well written dark story, which is raw, gritty, and intense, and with emotions, passion, betrayal, revenge, loyalty, suspense, and love, which all leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Incapacitating as it is riveting. Brutal yet beautiful. Bloody yet abounds with a feeling that will have you on the edge. I love this series and what it does to me when I read it. It is one of those series that is a world that you want to escape to. The characters are really written with spice and depth that will and can bring you to your knees. It is a world that is vibrant and has steam to keep you glued to this book. Exceptional writing from a sensational author. Get ready for triggers and you probably should bring the tissues. Fair warning. LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

I really enjoyed Leo’s story. Since he was first introduced in the series, he always seemed such an enigma to me. It was good to have more of an insight into what makes him tick and just his mow badly his injured leg affects him.
Sophia is a great heroine and she is feisty and strong. Even after being kidnapped by Leo she still remained calm and assertive.
Twisted lover is another terrific instalment in the Brutal Reign series and readers will be very satisfied. Sasha Leone certainly knows how to write addictive and steamy books. Five stars

I had a feeling Leo's book would be good. I was right!
He exceeded my expectations and thoughts.
What started out as a peace arrangement turned into much more.
Sophia is no princess!
She was a fiesty young woman born and raised in a ruthless world.
Sophia and Leo together...were fire!!
I really enjoyed this book and having read all previous books in the series I was super excited to read Twisted Lover.
This is seriously not one book to miss.

needs a few revisions
Honestly, the whole capture and keep locked away got super old. Not only that, but this book had quite a few spelling errors and even saw a few times where she said the wrong persons name (I.e. Neil instead of Leo).

What girl didn't want to be a princess rescued by a prince in shining armor? Sophia used to love reading her mother's collected fairytale books, until her father ripped away the safety of make believe fantasies. Faced with a brutal choice, Sophia chose to become the demon her father insisted she become in order to carry out his legacy.
Leo lost his childhood when his mother died and his older brother, Roman, was taken from him. He lost the ability to feel connected to those outside of the family. He fought hard to become who he is, the king of assassins. There is no way that he's just going to bow down and marry his enemy. Hell will freeze over first, or he just takes the prize.
Together they are going to rule the world, if they can stop their allies and partners from burning it down first.
This one took longer than normal for me to read. It's rather slow in plot movement in the beginning. However, as the story progresses, so does the plot. There are a few snaggs that need to be fixed by editing, but nothing that is too out of line or distracting from the story. If you like twists, this one definitely throes in quite a few. And the ending brings us back to peace, or as peaceful as a bunch of mafia bosses and assassins can be.
While the book is a part of a series, it can be read alone without too much confusion and lack of coherent progress. In truth, now I want to know everyone else's story.

Sophia had dreams of her prince charming coming along to rescue her as a child, but that was taken away from her by her father when she was forced to make a choice. Her whole world was burned, and her dreams were crushed. She was turned into a cruel young woman, just like her father wanted.
Leonid is the King of the Delphi, even though he’s the youngest son. He works with his brother, sister, and their allies, the Irish. They are fighting against the Greek. Leonid’s family has a history with the Greek, and they finally have their retribution by taking out the King, but now they’ve brought war to the Irish as well.
I really enjoyed Leonid and Sophia’s story. They are both strong, determined, and drawn to each other even though they don’t want to be. There are secrets and lies that are making these two question the peace agreement that has been presented, but Sophia is really fighting it. When Leonid takes matters into his own hands, the whole city suffers. Now they are fighting against time as well to make sure that innocents aren’t put in the life of fire. I give this story a 4-star review and highly recommend the Brutal Reign series.

I loved Leo, he wasn’t as tough as he projected to be. Leo & Sophia really were the perfect team. They’re both tough, strong & determined, but have the best intentions in their heart. As much as they want to hate each other, they’re also drawn to each other. There’s no denying the chemistry between them right f/the start.

And when the only man who’s ever been nice to her & who she thought of like an uncle is taken captive by her dads second in command, Sophia will do anything to save him. Even if that means doing what Retsos wants- & that’s marrying the man responsible for her fathers death. But before she knows it, Leo is taking her captive, both agreeing marriage isn’t what they want. But Retsos isn’t giving up, he’s out to win everything. Once Sophia realizes that Leo really isn’t her enemy, & they both open up, they realize they can trust each other to take down their enemy.

Twisted lover (Brutal reign 5)
This is the fifth book in this series by this author. This is the story of Sophie and Leo, these two characters have such intense chemistry between them from the start but its a slow burn chemistry which then sets the pages alight as you read. This is such an amazing and strong story that the hot and steamy moments just add to the story. This is a fab mafia read series from this author. This story will have you hooked from the first page and keep you reading long into the night, making this a page turner of a read. This is a fantastic addition to this series from this author.
