I didn't love this one as much as I loved the first book in the series...but...I'm like a fat man at a burrito stand with this series you guys, and I just don't care.
I said this for book one, but I will reiterate again here, since it still rings true...
The plot a complete hot mess.
The drama WAAAAAAAAAAY over the top.
And there are many things here people will find problematic.
But, again, the possessive mafia alpha-hole is just my JAM right now.

📚FORBIDDEN TO LOVE 📚 Is a dark second chance mafia romance, spoken in 'dual perspectives with a HEA'
Ok first off this is going to be a no frills short kind of review only because I don't want to divulge any spoilers. This was everything I wanted and more, ticked all my boxes and more, such a raw emotional, gritty unputdownable read, throw in some twists and turns and this book got it's hooks into me like no other and I was still hooked and craving more as I closed out of that last page.
Forbidden Love is exactly how a mafia book should be written and I'm so freaking glad I took that plunge and signed up to read this because without a doubt this quickly became a book I wholeheartedly loved and a world I crave to read more about.
Nat and Leo will have you rooting for them as they travelled a rocky road that they were forbidden to cross in their worlds. These two were the perfect match, their love for the other crashed into my soul, an unforgettable couple which had me by the heart strings.

Her heart is so big and open- I loved how vulnerable and honest she is, and it broke my heart to see her shattered by her world over and over again. But that makes for the most compelling character arc of this story- we get to watch Natalie evolve and grow. Outgrowing the besotted desperate teen and emerging as a cunning, indomitable woman
The narrative of this story surprised me in so many ways- yet again the brilliance of Siobhan Davis. I won’t say much because I don’t want to spoil- but just how their story is constructed, the narrative approach used to unfold their love wasn’t at all how I thought this story would go- but I loved it. It made for such a rich and intense connection between these two- making my heart desperate to fight for them. There are lots of twists and unexpected elements- a few devastating and heartbreaking and even triggering-but it just adds to the epic star crossed element of this story. This is a love HARD FOUGHT, but a love that can not be contained, despite tragedy, loss, and endless obstacles. Truly, Siobhan's gift of marrying the bold and darkly suspenseful with the angsty and emotional has no better match than the mafia trope- and I hope we get more and more to come, because I can not get enough of her mafia story telling. Page turning, heart squeezing, jaw dropping mafia magnificence!

I might have enjoyed the first part, but the second didn’t work for me as much as I was anticipating.
Natalia and Leo’s love wasn’t convincing.
Too many things were happening and couldn’t catch up due to the rushed way the story was moving with.
It had a lot of cliches, some parts were dragging and the epilogue left me wanting more.

This is a standalone mafia second chance romance in the same world as Condemned to Love by Siobhan Davis
It's Natalia Mazzone ( Bennett's sister) and Leo Messina's (a soldier working for Ben and his father and also Natalia's brother Matteo's bestfriend) story.
“I don’t want that for you. You deserve better.”“I deserve you,” she whispers, peering longingly at me through her gorgeous blue peepers. “You deserve better than me, and we both know it.”
I can't explain much of the plot without giving away spoilers but I can say that, Nat was the proper dutiful mafia princess who knew that she was going to be used as a pawn to solidify some contracts with other mafia families by being forced into a loveless arranged marriage and that's what exactly happens in her case. Problem is that, she has always loved her brother's best friend, Leo and doesn't want to get married to the monster that is her future fiance. Nat was really strong and opinionated, I'll give that to her. She was firm at her point and answered back to her father to fight for her freedom. I really liked her smart personality but life got into her way and circumstances trapped her in a marriage without love and affection but with huge responsibilities.
“In every lifetime, I would choose you, Natalia.” Taking her hand, I place it over my heart. “We may be apart, dolcezza, but you will always be the only woman I love.”
Leo always loved Nat from afar and even he tried his best but unfortunately he couldn't do anything to get her out of the inevitable fate that lied ahead of her. Nat & Leo's story was heartbreaking, painful and at the same time thrilling and exciting. It was emotional with plot twists that I really didn't see coming. The angst was delivered perfectly and reading Nat's point of view made me cry buckets. Regardless of all the pain, the book ends with Leo & Nat getting their much deserved HEA and the epilogue made me feel so damn happy for them! Overall, I loved getting to visit some known and unknown characters in the book and the bond between Ben & Nat was really heartwarming. I'm most definitely looking forward to reading the next book which is apparently going to be about Alesso & Serena.

I am so enamored with Siobhan Davis's love stories. They are always so emotional, angsty, steamy, heartfelt and so addicting. Forbidden to Love is another delicious mafia offering by Davis. I was so obsessed with Leo and Natalia and their path to happiness. I cried and screamed and could not get enough of this story!
Natalia and Leo were just next level. Their tumultuous love story had me swooning and raging in equal measures. I loved Natalia's strength and determination to stand up for herself. Likewise, Leo was just amazing. Strong and yet so emotional. He gave me all the swoons. His strength and love for Natalia was just pure perfection. I rooted for this couple from the very beginning and can't wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars ~Ratula

Can Siobhan write a genre that is simply not perfect and is just right for me?!
As things stand now, she doesn’t seem to be able to because she wrote another book that thrilled me and kept me in suspense until the very end.
This is a book I would definitely recommend to all readers who are fans of this genre, and to others who want to read something they don’t normally read!

And Mrs. Davis finally delivered and she gave us an outstanding story... An epic love that was destined from the beginning to turned out into a train wreck...
Leo and Nat had gone through much ugly things, but the only light to guide them in the darkness was their love for each other!!!
I loved this couple, as much as I loved Ben and Sierra and honestly, I can not wait for more stories in this beautiful world that Siobhan Davis has created!!!

She was a beautiful woman from inside and outside...
This couple deserved to be together and i felt so sorry for their fate.... But they were strong enough to fight every single obstacle that was standing in their way and to find back the way toward each other...

This was an amazing mafia story full of passion and suspensful moments...
Siobhan Davis knows how to writes captivating stories that will pull you under their spell...
I love this world and I can not wait for Alesso and Serena's turn...

This is how Dark Mafia romance is to be written!! Gah!! There are very few authors who truly can write dark mafia romance and Siobhan Davis is one of them!
Forbidden to Love is written in dual POVs, Nat and Leo. This is a complete standalone. I cannot emphasize this enough. Yes, there are other characters from another book that make appearances and there are references made to that book (Condemned to Love), but you do not need to read that book or have any knowledge of it to read this one. Siobhan does a superb job of filling in any gaps without taking away from Nat and Leo's story. And I am only pointing this out because it is extremely difficult to do that.
Siobhan blew me away with this book. The depth, layers and details she brings to this story is unreal. I felt as though I was living through everything that Nat and Leo had to endure. FTL is filled with action, drama, angst and heart-pounding scenes that will leave readers breathless. I could not get enough of this book.
I love how Siobhan is able to blend the drama and action of the mafia side with the angst and sweet romance side of this story. Forbidden to Love is one dark mafia romance that everyone needs to read. Go buy it now!!

Natalia and Leo’s second chance love story is EVERYTHING. I love the twists and the way the plot effortlessly wove itself between Ben’s backstory in book one and Nat and Leo’s story in this book. The forbidden romance sparked into a smoldering fire that lasted more than a decade. It was beautifully unraveled and rich with surprising relationships and questionable alliances. Leo proved to be a strong, loyal, deadly partner in crime. Absolutely loved his swoonworthy character. Natalia was a dedicated, smart, worthy woman and opponent. Definitely a heroine I can stand with in support. The mafia story was action packed and entertaining with lots of surprises that kept devouring the pages. I can’t wait for more of this world.

Unfortunately This one just did NOT work for me. Not in the way book 1 did. Which I enjoyed so much.
First, we spend 57% of this book with them as 17 and 20 something year olds.
There was a secret pregnancy that didn't get revealed until after 80%.
The heroine is married until way too far into the book.
There is not enough intimacy and growing relationship between them.
I was just so disappointed in how this one played out. Such a bummer.
But I read the first 2 so I could get to the 3rd... So let's hope that book is everything I hope for.

This book wrecked me. And I don’t just mean a little, I mean this book tore through me straight to my soul and ripped it to shreds. Siobhan never fails to write characters that you emotionally become attached to and Natalia and Leo are no different. I knew their story wasn’t going to be easy but I was not prepared for the emotional destruction that this book left me in.
I knew I liked Natalia since Condemned to Love and I wasn’t wrong in my assessment. She is strong and beautiful. She’s smart and loyal. She loves with her heart and soul. This girl goes through a lot being the only daughter of a Mafia Don leaving her with expectations and responsibilities that no one should have to endure. But she does with her head held high she does what is expected of her. I loved her unflinching loyalty and love for her family and friends. She doesn’t hesitate to make sure that they are safe no matter what. The power that she exudes is what a true Mafia Queen does. She was born into a world that she didn’t want but one that she accepted.
Leo my Leo. This man is so much more than I was prepared for. He wears his heart on his sleeve and I died for it. Watching him trying to come to terms with where his life is and not where he desires it to be it both heartbreaking and soul searing. My heart literally ached for them and what they had to go through. But I trusted Siobhan to make everything better in the end.
Siobhan always writes books that immediately pull you in, leaving you on the edge of your seat and frantic for more. Siobhan show us that love never leaves and that even in the darkest of times it will always find a way.
Leo and Natalia’s story is not for the faint of heart. Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for this book like crazy! Nat and Leo intrigued me way too much in Ben’s book and knew they would be downright explosive when they finally got a chance to remend their differences. Even after years , their passion burns bright and both of them know that there is no one else for them. I loved the dark standalone mafia a lot. This was a bit different from what Siobhan writes but it was amazing nonetheless. I would Like to make it clear that even though this book is also from the world of the “Condemned to love” book by this author , both books are completely standalones and it is not ata ll necessary to read the first book to read this one. The author tells us the tale of the characters right from the start and it spans over the years , so there is no detail missing and everything is perfect!
I am Definitely recommending this book to all the dark mafia romance loing people out there., If you love Second chances and Brother’s best friend romance books then don’t miss this one at any cost!

Some parts I just wanted to throw my kindle on the floor in anger but I knew these characters were always looking out for each other even if it meant they hurt each other.
This was a great read and cannot wait to read more in Siobhan's Mafia World.

Bloodshed, arranged marriages, forbidden love and non-stop surprises will keep you riveted as Leo and Natalia find their way to forever. It's addicting and all-consuming...you won't want it to end.
Gahhhh...the author tore my heart out more than once. I needed breaks while reading because this was angst level max for me. I could not have loved Leo and Natalia's story more.

Forbidden To Love is a standalone mafia romance set within the same world as Condemned To Love, and it's Leo and Natalia's journey to love. Siobhan has a way of tearing through your emotional wall before putting you back together. This book has it all but don't take my word for it go ahead and read it for yourself.

The heroine made a lot of reckless decisions and then take no responsibility for any of them. Also does a lot of irresponsible and unredeemable things and doesn't even acknowledge them but brushes them under the rug.
The hero is awful not only because sleeps around after declaring his love for the heroine but also because he let's everyone make decisions for him.
The only character I liked was Bennet.
The writing was choppy and the plot was a bit messy with too many things happening at once for me to catch up, it gave me whiplash and the time jumps were confusing.
We spent way to much time with the heroine being underage for me to be comfortable with what was happening with her in the story.
Overall It was gritty and have a lot of action with an slow burn romance. And although the book wasn't for me, I think I will appeal to a lot of people.

Gah the first half of this book is so angsty. I love it! I swear you can feel all the emotions bleeding through the pages Natalia and Leo were everything. You could see that they were soulmates right from the start but their love was forbidden and circumstance kept them apart but even then their love was so strong.
This is forever going to be one of my favorites. Siobhan executed this perfectly it had the angst, steam, suspense and great plot. You will not be disappointed!!
I highly suggest you pick up this book and every other book from Siobhan. Her writing is phenomenal and will keep you so engaged. Continuing on from Condemned in Love, Natasha is Bens sister, thrown into a marriage of convenience even though she has feeling for Leo Bens right-hand man.
Reading Natasha's sad story about being married to a cruel man was heart-wrenching and her and Leo's unspoken feelings towards each other was so sad.
I loved reading their separate journeys through life and then the ending, although it was a cliffhanger, roll on the next book in November.
