Before adopting or buying a dog if you have never had 1 is to research about the breed you plan on getting.
Food, grooming, health care are very important.

You can teach the dog manners & some tricks.

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary; age) dog storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (getting a dog), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Illustrations are endearing! The information in this book for first-time dog owners is helpful in sharing the truth about the responsibility of pet ownership. Written in rhyme and in vocabulary suitable for young children, I would recommend this book for parents (or even animal shelters' educational programs) to begin the conversation to stave off animal neglect. Loved it! But, more importantly, loved the impact it will have in ensuring pets are well-loved and cared for!
