Never having been the one to take his L’s in stride, Projex gives Loriana a taste of the person she met years ago. It was clear the love they shared hadn’t wavered, but her loyalty had. In his eyes, there was no coming back from what’d she’d done, and Projex made it very clear where their relationship stood. The balance this group of young adults struggles to find makes their lessons learned much more worth it. Not everyone is meant to stick around in your life, but how could they not when they were destined to be there? In this finale, Projex and Loriana’s hearts are tested beyond what they could imagine. This series took me through every emotion possible!! I laughed, I cried and laughed some more! This crew was everything and I feel like I know them personally. Projex and Loriana took me through it!!! I was worried for a minute that they weren’t going to make it but I should’ve known that they weren’t letting each other get away. Despite what you read in my last review for book 2 I actually felt bad for Symir 🫣He was a good guy and while it wasn’t meant to be with him and Loriana he didn’t deserve the heartbreak and embarrassment he experienced 😩😩 Projex had nooooo chill when it came to that man and I cringed the entire time during Loriana’s birthday dinner…and Peaches didn’t help either 🤣🤧! The growth of this crew was amazing to witness and everybody winning was the icing on the cake! The glow up was real! I need more from Juice and Nyree (BFF of the century), Mhyale and Naaz and even Shamari and Joi! I just started my journey through Briann’s catalog and I am loving her books!

I liked the series but I couldn’t get into book 3 like that. I find it hard to believe that Loriana didn’t hold Projex down but everytime he forgave her like it was nothing. As a man who stressed loyalty, I expected him to put her through the ringer way more than he did. Their relationship coming back together was way too easy. Loriana did Symir grimey. I didn’t like how she dubbed his shit like he was nothing when they was fucking with each other when Projex was away all those years. I just feel like there could’ve been more nuances to each relationship than what was shown. It should have never been that easy for Loriana and Projex’s relationship. I mean after all, she broke his heart.

This was a great series. I was so invested. I hated how long it took Projex and Lori to get it together. I was in my feelings lol. Can’t believe Symir turned out to be off kilter but I can understand how he felt played by Lori. He was very much a place holder. Glad to see they had a happy ending. Now I need the tea on Myhale & Naaz, Sneaks & Moo and Candace and Ayo. Definitely recommend.

from the hood to Grammy winner!!!

Whew Chile! This series took me on a RIDE! One thing I loved about it was every time I was getting overwhelmed with Projex and Lo’s issues, BriAnn would give us more of Nyree, Joi, and Mhyale. This series had the perfect balance and I can’t wait to read more from those characters.

Now back to Lo and Projex. Why Lo play in Symir face like that? At the end of book 2, I thought symir was the bad guy but he really just fell in love with someone who’s heart belonged to someone else. She was driving me crazy. She knew Projex wasn’t about to play behind her. Like girl?! Stop the madness and be with your man lol

I’m so happy they got it together. They were made for each other.

Excellent story

This whole series got progressively better with each story. Almost seems impossible since each story on its own was excellent! The author write the hell out of these books. Loriana and Projex were so swoon worthy. I loved the toxic relationship they had lol. I’m glad they decided to quit playing games and work it out. There was so much growth between them it had me smiling while reading.

From the Hood With Love 3♥️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really love this series and book 3 dropped right on time. I was in such a reading drought getting frustrated and left unsatisfied when boom this book was LIVE♥️ L Boogie and Projex both had me side eyeing them as they played games with other poor souls who really had no chance😩 I really love how Projex family and Lo’s family rallies behind her. Nyrae is still the best bestie a girl could have. All of the characters feel like family at this point and I would love to see more of them. What is up with Yari?

playing with my emotions

Yo she could have saved all the noise with Reign. I ain’t like that at all. Or how my girl Lori had stopped speaking what was on her mind, luckily she got back to it before i throw my kindle. This series was so good. Book 1 is definitely my favorite but I appreciate getting to see it all play out, even if it did have me stress out! The hype around BriAnn Danae is definitely to be believed.

— Projex and L-Boogie stressed me out with the back and forth. I’m so happy they finally got it together. — I love me some Bryshon “Projex” Emery, straight pressure.
— This was a beautiful ending of the series. It was nice to witness the growth in the characters, had me smiling like I knew them fr.
— I would love to get a story on Nyree and Juice, my boy was not playing with her.

When Love is Tested

Listen!! This book had me in my in feelings. The book opened up with revealing secrets and I was here for it.
For half the book I was Tiiiiiired of Lori. I just did not understand why she was stringing Symir along. What was the reason?? She broke Projex heart and his trust for what uugh. She literally gave this man that was willing to give her the world back to the streets, I just cannot. Then when she finally decided she was ready, he wasn't. He was off her, rightfully so. I felt like she needed to get counseling because her moves just made no sense.

Projex was wild, but was forever a giver. He took care of his own. I hurt for him when he came home to find out Lori was on bull. He was just trying to get right and so much was unraveling around him. It felt like no one was truly in his corner. He was wildin with Reign and I was side eyeing him, but I understood it was his get back. His heart was broke behind Lori and Kordell and it seemed as if he just needed someone....

This journey of Lori and Projex finding their way back together was a lot! They hurt and confused each other with their antics, but they always knew they were meant to be. I was very happy when they finally stopped playing.

I liked that we learned a lot about the sub characters. There was more depth around them and I look forward to their stories.

Ok read

I enjoyed this read to an extent. I really love long stories that show the full development of the main characters however, I got to book 3 and was ready to skip to the end. I felt like at some point they just kept regressing in their maturity and I was over their games with each other. I also did not care for all the information about the side characters. I really just wanted to see the main characters grow and I felt like all the branching off and inner thoughts of the other people took away from that. I really didn't care for the side relationships between the main characters. It made me forget about the love they had for each other because they had whole relationships/situations in detail with other people. Other than that, I enjoyed seeing these two grow into people each other deserved. I can't wait to read the Christmas check in but I think I'll pass on the spin offs. I wasn't as invested in their stories as I was Lo's and Projex.

Good book

I feel like the book was unfinished unless there is another book coming out. What was the story behind Moo and Sneaks, did they get revenge? Myhale, Naas, and Jasheer? The mother daughter relationship between Myhale and Peaches? Did Symir ever find happiness? I love Projex for Loraina, but I didn’t like how Symir was disrespected on so many levels, he was a good guy and he loved Loraina, she just wasn’t for him. He was there for her when Projex could not be there and most of all he saved her from a rapist. I wish it could of ended better for his character that is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5.

I really loved this series so much! You literally experience every single emotion while reading about Projex and Loriana's journey. I'm glad they were able to eventually put all the BS to the side and finally rebuild their relationship and work toward their happy ending.

Loriana's growth into womanhood was a great one, and I feel so many can relate to it in so many ways. Whether it's navigating friendships and figuring out the real ones from the fake ones, to falling in love, to experiencing the loss of a parent, to deep depression, to pushing through and working to achieve your greatest life.

I also loved reading about Projex's growth as a man and his commitment to his dreams. I loved that he was a provider and loved hard when it came to those he truly loved. I loved how gentle he was with Loriana, especially in their younger years.

Now their relationship woes definitely started to stress me. I wanted Projex to be a little bit more understanding about Loriana "leaving him" during his time in prison. All she wanted to do was take a step back once her life was in danger on the account of him, and because he wasn't there to protect her physically, I think she deserved more grace. Especially with everything she had already been facing. Nonetheless, she apologized, and he kept throwing it in her face.

But through all the bullsh*t, their love for one another never decreased, which only proved that they were meant for one another.

LOVED IT

This finale was definitely worth the wait. Loriana and Projex are back but not without their share of back and forth drama. These two had you wanting to really shake some sense into them. They both were very stubborn and refused to admit their feelings, move on from the past and begin the committed relationship they knew they wanted. But I will say it was worth the headache considering the growth they've had since book 1. Young love is always that rollercoaster ride that you want to stop getting on but the thrill of it all and how it makes you feel becomes worth it in the end. There was no way you couldn't root for these two to stop playing games and get serious. Projex loved his L-Boogie so much there was nothing he wouldn't do to put a smile on her face. It also helped that they had a great support system of family and friends in their corner all the way. A great ending to an amazing series. Can't wait to read Juice and Nyree as well as Mhyale and Naaz stories.

❤❤❤❤

Man I absolutely love all these characters... they are your best friends, your siblings, your parents and aunts and uncles for real. All of them are relatable in the way they feel about each other and how they act. L-Boogie and Projex are definitely my favorites because they are soo authentic for real. Loriana made her mistakes because she was scared but Projex had his moments as well but tou could definitely feel the love though. The way they legit would have their little moments than be arguing in the next minute on that toxic ish is definitely love right there. Ny and Juice is definitely coming in close with Lo and Projex. They are not all the way there but I can definitely see them getting there even with their little bumps in the road. Now Mhy and Naaz would definitely be a great story but I know they have some issues still. Man this is definitely one of my favorite series.

I really enjoyed this book! I was fully invested in finishing it and diving deep into the characters. Honestly, I was tired of Symir. He just felt like someone who was meant to be in Loriana’s life for a good time, not a long time.

When you know who your soulmate is, you know. Your heart pulls you toward that person. The connection is undeniable. Loriana is that person for Projex, and Projex is that for her. Their bond just made sense. Things worked out the way they were supposed to, and I’m so happy with how everything came together.

This story had me in my feelings. I felt every last character, the love, the tension, the bonds, the arguments … all of it. I connected to the story in so many ways. I would love to see how things continue to unfold for the rest of the characters. It honestly feels like there should be a Part 4.

BriAnn be penning

I definitely enjoyed reading Projexx and Loriana's story. They were both young and had experienced the pain of losing family members while navigating the ups and downs that life throws at you. Despite the challenges, they stayed strong and remained committed to each other. Loriana always knew where home was, which added a beautiful layer to their relationship.

And can we talk about the added characters? Oh my goodness! I am so intrigued by Myhale and Naaz. Their dynamic was filled with some toxic elements that really captured my attention. I love a bit of drama, and their storyline has me wanting to know more about what unfolds. Overall, this book was a captivating read, and I can’t wait to see where the journey takes all of these characters next!

🧡🎶📝

Projex and Lorianna had me stressed! The back-and-forth, the emotions, the chaos… it was a lot! BriAnn really knows how to make you love them one minute and want to throw your Kindle the next 😂.

The drama? Top tier. The plot twists had me side-eyeing more than once, and I was not expecting the level of betrayal and heartbreak that went down. Yet even through all that chaos, there were still moments of softness that reminded you why you fell for these characters in the first place.

Character growth 👌🏾. You can really see how far everyone’s come from book one in terms of maturity, the sacrifices, and even the pain that shaped them.

I really enjoyed this series so much now I’m sliding my way to Christmas in the Projex 🥰.

YOU DID THATTT !

BriAnn, this whole series fire. Flew through book 1 when it dropped, same for book 2. This here?? Thissss book here, I paced. 22% to 38% to 58% to 72% to 84% to done...
I wanted to read slowly, cause I mean who wants to part with such a dope azz couple? I laughed so much in this book. Projex had THEE smartest most sarcastic mouth ever. At times, I thought daaang, I have a real life Projex. I could relate a lot to them. Loriana and Projex will be the couple of the year far as I'm concerned.
I loved the series.
Lastly the way you promoted real businesses was so nice. I put 'Sophisticated Tomboy' on to you and she took off! Read a lot of your catalog.

This Series was everything!!!!

It's rare that I like to read more than two books in a series but I just couldn't get enough of Projex!! Back in the day, he was everything a young girl like me wanted from a dude in the hood. 😂 Unfortunately I didn't give this a 5⭐ because the back and forth with his and Loriana relationship almost took me out!! I found that I wanted to throw this book across the room on more then one occasion. 🤔 hell maybe this do deserve 5⭐'s then. My emotions reading this series were all over the place but I'm glad in the end everything worked itself out. Ms. Bri you understood the assignment and I greatly appreciate it.
