Without a doubt, the book (or rather, the short story) is a good and quick read. It’s well-written, the sentences fit together, and everything “flows.” The whole story starts in an immigration office where a woman and a man formalize their marriage, which is supposed to guarantee the man citizenship. And that’s it, and then sex. That’s the whole story. And it’s not bad, it’s just too short. Once again, I was fooled by the “volume” of the book presented on Amazon, as one-third of it is “ads and free chapters” of other books. In such moments, I feel cheated because I expect the story to develop, for there to be actions that are not sex, but no, the book ends, and two-thirds of it onwards is just advertising. Well, maybe it works, maybe those with Kindle Unlimited don’t mind, but I, who had to pay a dollar for it, feel cheated.
The naturalness of events – just okay, they decided on sex rather quickly and for reasons that are not very convincing. I won’t divulge what those reasons are, but they could be seen as unbelievable or amusing. The fluidity of the story – the book is so short that it’s hard to put down ;). However, I admit it was a good read. Erotic scenes – quite successful, spicy without crossing the line of good taste. But, can’t the characters be imagined differently than just with a tight slit and a large member? Huh? Compassion towards the character – without any chance. This short piece had more sex packed into it than character development, which is a pity. Authenticity of characters – yes and no. Neither does the woman come off as someone so in need of money that she decides on a sham marriage, nor is the man with some past described as “sexually inexperienced.” Overall impression of the book – it’s good. The most significant flaw is dedicating more space to the sex lives of the characters than to the characters themselves. However, it was a nice and enjoyable read. Whether I highlighted a quote that I liked – I didn’t find one. The book is quick, fluid, and quite well-written. It’s a pity it’s short and lacks in plot.
I like me some down and dirty, but I also need character development and a story.
This novella just didn't reel me in. Nor did it keep me interested in the characters. Fact is, I read it a couple days ago and can't remember their names. :(
I think a 3 star review is fair, seeing that more readers in this genre will like or even love it.
Note there are some editing issues that could make the reading smoother.
If you like erotic stories, then you are going to love the short erotic story. Seducing her fake husband was a great read, Troy and Kristina’s story was everything I wanted and needed in an erotic in under 100 pages.
I definitely recommend reading this book to anyone looking for a short erotic story!
A few typos but great flow of events and detailed description. Not an implausible situation but rather a believable one as we all know once the line is crossed there's no going back
