We are doing his class and Jack has gotten this book before so I wanted to read it alongside! It was definitely old info/stats which is why I rated it lower. But the info is still the best this FPU course has changed our life we love it 🤣

Its definitely for a niche group of people that I don’t consider myself a part of, but overall its okay and probably helpful if someone is new to finance, but I personally didn’t get much out of it.

I got this book as a wedding gift, Financial Peace Revisited is a book that talks about how to avoid getting in debt and things that can help you not get bankrupt. I wanted to read this book to help me have a better ideas about finances. I like that Dave Ramsey mention a lot about ways you can “manage personal finances” I enjoyed reading this because it has section on individuals who just getting started on finances or wants to know how to deal with debt and money. Some of advices that he gives is in order “to get out of debt. It is keeping out of debt. You can’t get out of a hole by digging out the bottom” I honestly enjoyed it I will recommend it to those who wants to learn about finance and those who are struggling financially. I wish Romney gave more in details to financial build yourself up so that you don’t have to worry about debt. Overall I would rate this book a 7 out of 10.

If I would have picked up this book first I wouldn’t have ever picked up another money book. I am have big so much trouble getting through this one it is giving me nothing that I’m concerned about in the first half of the book and the constant jumping around on topics is unnecessary. Please pick a different book to read first.

My second entry into the Dave Ramsey cinematic universe. Read back to back with total money makeover. A lot of the material is the same but with even more conservatism as relationships are a bigger focus in this one, lol.
Also, Dave Ramsey loves calling people broke which... mood.

This is kind of an earlier, worse, less polished version of Total Money Makeover that contains basically all of the same information. The only thing I felt was better here was the chapter on Mutual Funds (Of Mice and Mutual Funds). There is virtually no scenario where I would recommend this as the book of Dave's to read over Total Money Makeover.
