There's a whole lot of racial and orientation diversity in this book. I love that it shows the wonderful times and the not-so-wonderful times (a baby's diaper leaking in the bed, a poop explosion while a diaper is being changed, a toddler who refuses to leave the park, etc.). Those latter ones are not often depicted but they are certainly a part of life!

This book is very sweet and shows families of all different cultural backgrounds. Each of these families have a baby, and this book shows that all babies are the same, and each family loves their baby the same way. This book represents that everyone should love and treat everyone the same, because at one point or another, we were all babies that needed love and care.
