Friends-to-lovers is one of my favourite tropes, so when I read the description for Robin Bielman's new book Written For You, I knew I'm in for a treat!

Reese Resnick and Cam Radcliff have known each other since they were kids. Their adoptive moms are best friends. In fact, Cam's mom Pixie is Reese's godmother. Needless to say, they know each other very well. Reese knows how lovely and considerate Cam is and how hard he has been working to build his career of a scriptwriter. His latest action movie was a huge success. Now he is on a tight deadline to produce something equally engaing, but all this pressure is blocking his creativity. Perhaps, it will be easier to write at home surrounded by his loving parents and his brothers?

Cam knows that Reeese has changed a lot of jobs over the years, unable to find the career that would be both enjoyable and stimulating at the same time. She's been working for a talent agency for the last three months, reading script submissions. While Cam may have her doubts whether she is going to stick with this job as well, Reese is convinced she has finally discovered her real vocation. When Cam's aggressive agent approaches and bullies her into spying on Cam's progress with the script, he does it by threatening to get her fired from her dream job. Reese, who is always welcome to stay at her godmother's house, is going to make sure Cam writes the best script of his life and she is going to help him.

There's so much at stake and I don't mean just their jobs, but also the life-long friendship and their easy-going family dynamics, so only very strong attraction and 'blazing' chemistry can force the two protagonists to risk everything and finally change the nature of their relationship. Reese is a sweet, fun-loving girl and deep down she knows what her heart wants. Cam is a writer who is a bit slow to recognise how perfect their own story is. Luckily, his adoptive brothers Nash and Gael are there to tease and nudge him in the right direction. Reese and Cam worry about their parents discovering their budding romance, but, in reality, it has always been obvious to everyone that they were made for each other.

The story is set in a small town of Rustic Creek and I loved all the adventures and fun moments Reese and Cam get up to on their mission to help Cam produce his masterpiece. My favourite has got to be their 'unconventional' visit to the town library, but there were lots of others. If you are a fan of the small town setting, you'll love Rustic Creek.

Robin Bielman is a powerhouse when it comes to writing best-friends-to-lovers romance. And when she flicks that switch, shifting the chemistry and creating romantic tension and build-up, along with the fears two people have of making the leap and risking their relationship, it’s absolute perfection.

“I promise. Promise you won’t break mine?”

Reese and Cam are one of the funniest, sweetest and sexiest couples I’ve had the pleasure of reading and every aspect of their story from the modern, fresh screenplay theme to the pace of their coming together hit all my sweet spots. Books like Written for You are my catnip leaving my heart happy but at the same time still not ready to say goodbye when we reach the end, but what a satisfying ending it was and I really hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of the Radcliffe men.

Oh, my heart! Robin Bielman has brought the heart-stealing sweetness with Written for You.

Cam and Reese were so much fun! This was a frothy small-town, family-driven romcom filled with banter and hilarious quirks. I adored my time spent falling in love with Cam and Reese as their opposites attract / friends-to-lovers story popped with banter and heart. And I am intrigued by Cam’s brothers (I mean, mostly because football players are my catnip for real. And a hunky mechanic? Yes, please.) and their unique back-story.

I just really enjoyed my time with this lovely family and these super fun characters. Written for You was a quick, playful, sweet treat for my heart. If you’re looking for something light-hearted and uber sweet, this is the perfect pick-me-up! ~ Shelly, 4 Stars

Thanks to Entangled: Amara and NetGalley, too
For my copy of this book, here’s my honest review:

This is such a delightful read
I really, really hope it be the first in series, yes indeed!
A tragic plane crash orphaned three young boys but then
They were kept together and brought up as family again.

This is the story of one of those boys who is now a man
He’s a screenwriter returning home with a plan
He’ll be there for a month during his stay
He needs his latest blockbuster written and out of the way.

His best friend is Reese, she was adopted as a child, too
And their adoptive Mums are best friends who
Have brought their four children up to look after each other
Like having one sister and two or three brothers.

However between Reese and Cam the feelings
Are no longer those of siblings, leaving them reeling.
Dare they risk their brilliant friendship after all
To see if they both into love will fall?

With work pressures from someone who is a bully
Will that man their relationship sully?
With threats and messages from that man
He’s someone of whom I’m not a fan!

Will they dare to take a chance
On this friends first developing romance?
It is a story full of love and family fun
Leaving you smiling when it is done!

Another fantastic and funny read which I have to say
Will hopefully be the first in a series some day.
I’d like to revisit and hope to discover
If there’s a romance for each other brother!

The perfect rom com that will have you laughing out loud through out the story. A heart warming, sweet but sexy story of best friends Cam and Reece that are afraid a romance will ruin their friendship if things don't work out, but soon they can't deny the chemistry that they share.

Loved the Radcliffe family, the boys all share such a closeness. A wonderful sweet town of Rustic Creek, makes me want to visit. This is a book that I did not want to see end. Can't wait to read more of the Radcliff brothers. I highly recommend this rom-com!!

My first time reading this author, but not the last. I loved her characters, and the story created. The friends to lovers’ relationship between Cam and Reese contains plenty of angst and chemistry.

Reese and Cam have been friends since childhood, but is their relationship changing? Will they risk that friendship?

I enjoyed reading this book, and I hope we get to read more about Cam’s brothers soon.

The cute premise invited me in, but the mentions of nudity, sex, and masturbation in the first chapter led me to believe I would not want to read upcoming sexual content. So I stopped.

Written for You is a heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance I couldn't put down. It's been a while since Robin Bielman released a new book and I knew from looking at the cover that Written for You would be an instant classic. Robin Bielman has a true gift for writing romance and this one is one of the best she's written.

This is about two friends who have amazing chemistry trying to resist each other until they can no longer deny their feelings. Sure, there are secrets to be told and they need to work through their issues before they can have their happily ever after. I can't tell you how much I loved Cam and Reece. There are so many feelings between the two, it made my heart swell. The conflict is there but it's so well done, I applaud the author.

If you love romantic comedies between two best friends, pick up Written for You. If you're a romance reader, you'll want to read this one. If friends-to-lovers romance is your reading jam, you'll adore Written for You. Highly recommend!

Cam is under pressure to finish the script that he is writing however he can’t seem to find the momentum to get it done. What better way to turn it around then by visiting his hometown with his best friend Reese except for the one complication that he wants her to play a starring role in his life romantically rather than just as friends.

Reese and Cam’s families have been friends since they were children and they have been best friends for just as long. She is determined to be there for him but between their changing feelings for each other and the secret she holds you know you are in for a bumpy ride.

Fun and flirty I enjoyed seeing Cam and Reese try to maneuver the changing parameters of their relationship and there is a great cast of secondary characters that make it even better.

This book has so much going for it that it’s hard to know where to start. I adored Cam and Reese, while Cam’s family, particularly his brother Nash and his mother Pixie, were wonderful secondary characters. The story itself is a lovely best friends to lovers one with all the conflict of both Cam and Reese worrying about how a romantic relationship between them would affect their family dynamic if it failed.
Author Robyn Bielman did a masterful job of showing the growing attraction between this pair. One of my favourite lines, which I think perfectly demonstrates their love, is this one: “No man had ever kissed her like his next breath depended on it. Her runaway heart wanted more.” The dialogue between these two, and the racy throw-away lines from Nash really sparkled and helped to set the tone for each scene.
The secondary story around Cam’s writer’s block and the pressure he faced to complete a screenplay by a looming deadline helped to carry the story, with frequent texts from his agent ramping up the tension every time they arrived. Overall, I just loved Written For You. It’s light, flirty and a terrific mix of emotion and humour, which means this story will be finding a place on my keeper shelf.

Such a sweet, heartwarming love story!

Cam starts falling for his best friend, Reese, while he's also battling a deadline for his next screenplay. His family is closely tied to hers, so the risks of a romantic relationship are significant. Reese is a terrific character, a woman who knows him better than he knows himself and is uniquely positioned to challenge him the way he needs to be pushed.

The writing is fun, with insightful snippets in screenplay format and intelligent banter that shows how well these two fit together. I loved the secondary characters just as much, and I hope to read more in this fictional world. Cam and Reese's HEA was joyous and oh-so-satisfying. I highly recommend this delightful story. Written For You is a wonderfully written story. That's set in a charming small town, has genuinely likable and engaging characters, and a best-friends- to-lovers romance that develops at such a delightful pace, you can't help but be pulled in. And with such a sense of family, not to mention plenty of sparks, sweetness and fun, this truly is a brilliantly entertaining story. And I really hope to read more from the Radcliffe men in the future.

Would happily recommend.

Written for You is the perfect romantic comedy. Fun, flirty and fresh with the emotion to back it up. Bielman gives love a makeover from a male's point of view. Cam has a great deal to learn about matters of the heart and it's up to his best friend to show him the way. Reese and Cam are the sweetest kind of heartache. The type that leaves you with a smile.

I had a little bit of trouble with this otherwise very vanilla, friends to lovers, romance.

Set in the fictional town of Rustic Creek, a town in the mountains that is also along the Pacific Ocean, five hours or so north of Los Angeles, Cam, a writers and Reese, a best friend, have come to this town for Founder's Day, and to see their folks.

The folks, in this case, are wealthy enough to have a swimming pool at their house, as well as a tennis court, and guest cottage. Cam is hoping to use the guest cottage to write, but Reese has already gotten there first. Note, that for a cottage, it sounds rather like a full size house, but that is not the point.

This is one of those slow burns, where the lovers do the that dance of trying to get it on, only to be interrupted time and time again. I normally like those kinds of romances. I dont' want them to fall in bed in the first chapter.

So, the books works, and does what it is intended to do.

My problem is that the pace is so slow, and they are wandering around, and playing tennis, and swimming, and doing anything but writing. And talking about setting off fireworks, despite saying a few paragraphs before, that there was a wild fire near the town last year, and isn't it good that the town survived.

Having been through that, as many in the state of California have, playing with fireworks is just about the last thing I would do to get over writers block.

I had some other little nits, such as Reese talking about a baby frog, when she meant a small frog, because a baby frog is a tadpole. But, they don't ruin the story. They just make me stop and question where her mind is at.

So, an ok romance. It definitely delivered on the friends to lovers.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

Screenwriter Cameron "Cam" Radcliffe has been struggling with writer's block while attempting to plot the sequel to his latest project, a hugely successful action-adventure film. It doesn't help that there's another story idea nagging at him to be written instead, or that he's suddenly distracted by an intense attraction to his longtime best friend, Reese Resnick. All Cam wants is to hide out in his parents' guest house for a few weeks and write, but when he gets there, he finds Reese, who is also his mother's goddaughter, already in residence. Knowing that Cam is struggling to complete his script, though not exactly why, Reese decides that she's going to help him overcome his writer's block by helping him find the fun in writing again. Their romantic feelings for each other intensify as they spend more time working together, but both are afraid to do anything that would risk their friendship or the close bonds between their families. The chemistry between them is too strong to ignore, however.

Reese and Cam were both tremendously likeable, sympathetic characters. I loved their flirty, witty banter and the slow burn as they gradually transitioned from friends to lovers. I also enjoyed their silly competitions and the unique ways Reese tried to inspire Cam's writing, many of which had me laughing out loud. (My favorite was the toy cars!) Cam's brothers, Nash and Gael, were a ton of fun too; they frequently teased both Cam and Reese, but it was easy to see how much they all cared about each other.

Overall, I adored "Written for You" and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I hope there will be future books featuring some of the secondary characters, including Cam's brothers and Sheriff Colt.

Cam and Reese’s friends-to-lovers romance in Written for You by Robin Bielman is a wonderful, heartwarming, sweet, emotional, and enjoyable story. Cam and Reese have been best friends since they were children, but things between them are changing and they see each other in a different light. Reluctant to give in to their feelings at first, they are soon falling for each other, but things don't run smoothly. This is the perfect rom-com story that will have you relating to their feelings and frustrations, as well as enjoying the laugh-out-loud scenes. Cam and Reese, best friends, fear a romance will ruin their friendship if things don’t work out, but soon realize the chemistry they share is strong and difficult to resist. I loved the entire Radcliffe family; especially the closeness the boys shared. I also want to visit the wonderful town of Rustic Creek.

Ms. Bielman wrote an emotional, sweet, wonderful and heartwarming story that should definitely not be missed. She provided a tale that sizzled with magnetism, off the charts chemistry, witty banter, and memorable characters keeping me flipping the pages of this best-friends romance. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Written for You to other readers and I can’t wait to read more about Cam’s brothers.

Robin Bielman's wonderful new novel, WRITTEN FOR YOU, brings together longtime pals Cameron Radcliffe and Reese Resnick in a heartwarming, family-centered, friends-to-lovers romance that will capture your heart and imagination.

Popular screenwriter Cam helped Reese get a job at the talent agency that reps him, but he's late on finishing the sequel he owes his agent, and Reese has secrets involving his project that she can't reveal. In an effort to help Cam meet his deadline, she suggests a screenwriting challenge between the two of them. What starts as a friendly competition sparks fire emotionally and it changes the trajectory of both of their plans.

Sprinkled with cute screenplay movie scenes and lots of fun dialogue, this novel is sweet, sexy, and delightfully funny. It had me grinning throughout, and I know fellow rom-com fans will fall in love with Cam, Reese, and the charming community of Rustic Creek!

I'm a long time reader of this author and this is honestly my favourite book by her. I absolutely loved this book. I was hooked from the opening lines to the very last page that I turned with a huge smile on my face and the feeling that I just finished a book that will be on my favourite list forever and one that I only then realised that I inhaled. Once I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down.

If you are after a book that you will be happy to get lost in, one that will have you falling in love with the main characters in Reese and Cam and will leave you grinning from ear to ear then THIS IS THE BOOK YOU NEED TO READ!!!

I love, love, loved this book. Everything about it, from the setting (I so want to move to Rustic Creek), to Cam and Reese and the secondary characters that you will adore this book owns my heart. Hands down.

I loved Cam and Reese. This is a perfect slow burn, best friends to lovers book. They both head to his hometown for a month long summer break, him hoping to overcome his writer's block and finish a screenplay, and her being supportive. Their feelings for each other start popping up immediately, but a bunch of amusing things get in the way. The story was well developed with how strong their bond is and how concerned they are to mess up their families' connections.
I loved the secondary characters of his brothers and parents and some of the people in town. I'm hoping this is the start of a new series.

4 Stars for this friends-to-lovers romance

This is a cute romance that warmed my heart. Reese is sweet but kinda flighty and doessn't take things near as serious as Cam does. I loved the banter between the characters, especially the bothers. I sure hope that the brothers are going to get their own stories!

Cam and Reese have been best friends since they were kids. But all of sudden they are seeing each oher in a different iight. They are both leary to start anything because their families are so close and a breakup would not only hurt them, it would hurt their parents and Cam's brothers. Is the pull between them too hard to resist?

Written for You was SO good. It was completely classic friends to lovers and I loved it so much. I really enjoyed the found family dynamics as well and how close knit everyone was. It was so nice to watch Cam and Reese develop their relationship and their banter with each other and the other characters was super light and fun. Nash and Gael were also really fun and the brotherly dynamic between all three guys was great. This was just the perfect light read and I am definitely adding more of Robin Bielman's books to my list. There was also a Princes Diaries reference and that in it of itself is iconic. I was really craving a sweet small town romance and this was perfect. Great characters, great story, and I loved the competition aspect as one of the main plot points.

I was excited to pick up a new Robin Bielman book! She has written a few of my favorite romance books and series and this is another great read.

I loved the way Cam and Reese cared for each other. Their friendship felt believable and you could tell how important they were to each other. That made it even better when the feelings between them continued to build and their relationship shifted.

The writing and character building are well done and I was hooked from the beginning. The story is sweet with humor, romance, and fun secondary characters, too. I definitely recommend reading this excellent friends to lovers story!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4.5 oh so sweet stars
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love best friends to lovers romance. Add in a touch of small town, and I was in my element. Reese grew up with the Radcliffe family. Her mum was best friends with Cam’s mum, and Cam and his 2 brothers, Gael and Nash, are practically family. So it’s a surprise for both Cam and Reese when they start feeling something other than friendship towards each other. A little added drama with Cam struggling to write his next big blockbuster, can Reese help get rid of his writer’s block? There’s lots of harmless ribbing and banter from Gael and Nash (they were so much fun), and it all makes for a totally enjoyable read. Wonderful characters all round, I enjoyed each and every page.

So Cam and Reese have known each other forever and have been best friends forever, however Cam's feelings have changed, he now sees Reese as more but fears that if she knew she would run and it would ruin there friendship. Reese has always loved Cam he has always been there for her and she can't help but noticed that he is hot, but he is Cam and he is a close friend and to top it off she was sent by his agent to spy on him and if Cam finds out he will not forgive that betrayal. As they spend time together, Reese helps Cam with his writers block but his story takes a change, it was based on action and now it is based on love and based on his and Reese's story. Cam and Reese give in to their feelings and do fall in love, but as always secrets never stay secret.
