I want that spark in her eyes that she occasionally gives me a glimpse of to be unleashed. Because I have a feeling this woman could light up the darkest sky if she was only given the chance to shine.
I LOVE the boys from Wild Irish - the Dublin-based band who, one by one, have retired from their bachelor ways to fall in love with genuinely good women. There hasn't been a heroine in this series that I've disliked.
All have the running theme of a wee bit of insta-love, but the emotion is there, and it's genuine. It never felt forced.
Shane is the bad boy of the group. Forever a bachelor by his own design. Makena is from America, and a damaged woman coming off a divorce that ruined her self-esteem, and definitely not looking for love. But I suppose it found her, on the plane to Ireland.
They firstly agree to be friends, though they both acknowledge the attraction is there. Then it becomes a battle of Makena's wills against Shane's, because for whatever reason, they can't stay away from each other. Even though, at the beginning, they're looking for different things.
This was just so cute. I swoon over a reformed bad boy, and who doesn't love to live in a fantasy world where falling in love and getting to stay in Ireland for the rest of your life is an actual option? Sign me up.

I love these books, they read like modern day fairy tales, maybe in my next life I will go to Ireland - seems all the best guys are there - Rock stars with very big hearts, among other things ;) C.M. Seabrook's latest has another too die for leading man, the woman that will tame him and an extended family that'll give you all the feels. A great escape from real life.

I can’t get enough of the Wild Irish boys so when Shane’s story became available I had to read it asap. Shane was the last of the guys from his band and family to have any notion of settling down. He lived everyday as it was his last making the most out of whatever he did…including the rotating door of women and always hoping that the guys would be able to make music again sometime soon since it was what he lived for.
Mckena was looking for a change and some peace after her marriage to a rising star fell apart after he was cheating on her and leaving her for the woman he got pregnant. There was no way she wanted to open her heart to anyone ever again because she thought she could not survive the heartbreak again. So she did a house swap with someone from Ireland thinking that the distance would help heal the wounds.
This is where Shane comes into play. He wants to show her how good things actually can be and how to not put feelings into it and to just enjoy the ride. They both feel the electricity between them but figure after their meeting on a plane back to Ireland, they would never see each other again and Mckena thought even though she felt this connection, it was for the best. Mckena had no idea that Shane was the wild boy from the famous rock band Wild Irish which took a little hit on Shane’s ego because everyone knew who he was.
Can Shane ever be truly tamed and really focus on anything but his music and will Mckena be convinced that there is a way to have fun between the sheets without letting in emotions get involved? This is a couple that will have you rooting for them with all of the issues that they both have to deal with. I’m a fan of this series and even though this could be a standalone do yourself a favor and go back and begin with book one of the series. You won’t be disappointed.

Wild Irish is book 3 in the Wild Irish series. Shane Hayes story is full of Feels , full of that sexy Irish action that I have come to love by author CM Seabrook. All of the Wild Irish books can be read as standalones but I do recommend if you read them all, that they are read in order.
Shane and Makena's story brought out the tears, the tissues, the feels. These are two fabulous characters that end up meeting one another and when they meet, instantly click. Their journey on the path to love isn’t smooth, is rocky yet they are both what each other need- him a cocky Irishman and she a vulnerable American lass. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride with some great characters. I cannot believe this series has come to a close. What a wild and exhilarating ride it was. CM Seabrook has brought amazing characters to life along with painted vivid , realistic portraits of Ireland and of the scenes in this book. I was able to lose myself in this awesome story because of the plot, characters and scenes. What a perfect ending to an absolutely wonderful series.

C.M.'s books just keep getting better!
Her books are always so easy to read; they're the type of book you pick up intending to read a chapter and poof! It's three hours later and you're halfway through the story. (That happened to me with this one, in particular).
I loved that Shane wasn't as happy-go-lucky as he wanted everyone to think he was. Another side of him was revealed early on, and that was just so endearing.
And I really felt for Makena. She definitely got the "short end of the love stick," and wasn't really ready to trust another man. Shane understood that and tried his darndest to do right by her.
They're one of those couples that just "clicked" at first sight, knowing there was something special about the other, and I absolutely LOVE that element in stories.
This book had the added low-stress "mystery" element in the form of anonymous letters Shane was receiving. Could it be the woman he was "involved" with in the last book? Hmmm.......
All in all, I just absolutely love C.M.'s romances, and I can't wait to see what she writes next!!!

I don’t think there has been a book by this author that I didn’t love. I have my favorites of course but Taming Irish was an absolute breath of fresh Irish air and a great story to end the Wild Irish series.
Makena is the beautiful American woman whose married life with a Hollywood actor comes to an abrupt and devastating end. After being encouraged by her cousin Quinn, she decides to house swap with a woman from Ireland and sets out on her next journey… One without all the unwanted, humiliating media attention.
Shane is the last single guy in Ireland’s #1 rock band Wild Irish and is in no hurry to change his single status. He’s frustrated that his bandmates have chosen family life instead of continuing the rock star life and left him out to dry and with a bad taste in his sexy Irish mouth.
Both Makena and Shane end up on the same flight to Ireland. They have instant chemistry but Makena is not interested in hooking up with anyone and Shane wants nothing more than a romp in the mile-high club. But that never happens and both go their separate ways…..
Luck of the Irish along with circumstances beyond their control unwittingly has them meeting up at Makena’s new digs. That’s where their journey really begins and gets interesting.
What I loved even more about this story is that there is a lot of humor and witty banter between Shane & Makena. I laughed out loud more than a few times, I’ll tell you that. Shane is so cocky but so swoony and wants to show Makena a good time. Makena is distrustful but just needs someone who will push a little to get her to let loose a bit and have some fun. Put them together and you better believe that hot sexy things will happen. The more time they spend together, the closer they become which has them second guessing everything they thought they wanted.
Do they have the courage to give themselves and each other a chance at happiness? Will they choose to take the road less traveled with the hope of finding new beginnings, new loves and a bright and loving future together? Or will old habits die hard for each of them and redirect them back to the same old lonely road to unhappiness?
What will they find at the end of their rainbow? A pot of gold bubbling over with new life and a lifetime of love or an empty heart and unfulfilled future? Guess you need to read this book to find out.
I adored the Epilogues. I really enjoyed reading about the beautiful Irish scenery, which the author describes in breathtaking detail.
Finally, I loved the smile that was on my face as I read the last words as I turned that last page, feeling satisfied at reading and finishing this sweet and sexy story. I loved it! It will have you believing in unicorns and pots of gold....

It's official. I need to go to a desert island, without anyone knows because at this rhythm I don't want to be interrupt. Seriously. When I'm so glued to my Kindle with a book, there are people that tended to bother me every second. Jeez.. Do it yourself. Lol
And when a book is written by an author you love and it's a new from a series that you really enjoyed what should I do? Hide to read at peace or deal with it? Decisions, decisions...
CM Seabrook is a terrific author that knows what she is doing. Seriously. Her books, every single one of them, made me blush, scream, curse but in the end it melted my heart. I loved them so much that being the little bookworm that I am I want more. So gimme me more.
Taming Irish is the third book from the Wild Irish series and Dayum... I know that I can be a little repetitive but you need to read the first two book from this series because if you don't you will have lots of questions. All books are standalones but I hope you read them all.
This book tells the stories of Shane and Makena.
Shane is cocky as hell and he knows it. He knows that woman love him and he knows how to make them scream. He is into one night stands, with no strings attached and loves every minute of it. He enjoys every day without thinking of tomorrow but things can change. He's famous because he plays in a super known band Wild Irish and fame can be overwhelming sometimes.
Makena was seriously hurt in the pass. She was betrayed by her husband and that left her with not only a broken heart but also with seriously trust issues. After enduring a very nasty divorce she wants to hide and hope the pain will go away, but her cousin has other ideas. Going to Ireland for 6 months will help her? Can a change so dramatic help her get back on her feet?
Never say never. That's what this book reinforces.

Amazing plot, very well written, fast paced and super engaging. The interation between the characters is beautiful, funny, real and intense. And the hot stuff is so good...
The way the story progressed made me smile and laugh as well as getting mad because these two are so stubborn... Jeez...
It was amazing to have news from the other couples from this series. I love them so much and we are introduced to Quinn. A feisty woman and I want her to have her own book because it will be explosive to say the least.

The way the story progressed made me smile and laugh as well as getting mad because these two are so stubborn... Jeez...
It was amazing to have news from the other couples from this series. I love them so much and we are introduced to Quinn. A feisty woman and I want her to have her own book because it will be explosive to say the least.

5 fantastic stars!! I love Wild Irish!! Another sexy Irish man for the favorites list!!
This is book three in the “Wild Irish” series and I am pretty sure the end of the “Wild Irish” series. Though I do believe there is going to be spin offs of some sort. I can’t wait!!
💚This is Makena and Shane’s love story...
Makena~ I thought I had everything I ever wanted. I wrapped it all up in the wrong man and now I lost everything. It’s time to get away and take some time to re-group. Ireland sounds like the place to start. I don’t need a man and I def don’t need Love right now. So why my first day of “getting away” does the hottest Irish man alive have to be on my plane?!?! And why does said man think he wants me?!?!

Shane~ I love music. The band has been my life up until everyone found the love of their life and now we have to take a break. I miss it. So I guess next best thing is to find musical talent. Like I said before this is another favorite. And damn do I love me some Irish men. Shane was the playboy we all knew it and I thought I was going to hate him. But boy was I wrong. I fell hard. He is so perfect in his own way. And I think Makena is perfect for him. This book was one hell of a romance. I teared up multiple times. Shed tears when Agnus told Makena she has family now. It was just perfect timing and perfect moment. Everyone has had their heartbroken at one point in life, whether it be a lover, a death, a dream crushed or something like that. So we all know that funk you are in and when everything just makes you feel like it can’t possibly be right. Well Makena was there and she did exactly what a strong women would. Except she let hope in and I love it.
This book had laughter, love, hope, pain, loss, sadness, charm, sex, lust, friendship, family, and so much more. I love this group of people and I am so freaking sad they all found their HEA because I need more of these hunky men!! This is another to add to Book Addicts Reviews favorites list so do not miss out!!

Taming Irish by C.M. Seabrook is a sweet, sexy, love when you least expect it story. This is book three in the Wild Irish series and each can be read as standalones since this is my first book read in the series and I loved it ~ I've wanted to start this series when it first came out and finally had time to read one!

Wow. Ich liebe das Buch. Ich bin immer noch vollkommen im Bann des Buches. Ich liebe die Geschichte von Makena und Shane. Worum es im Buch geht könnt ihr im Klappentext nachlesen. Ich habe das Buch verschlungen. Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen. Makena und Shane sind zwei wundervolle Charaktere. Beide habe ich sofort ins Herz geschlossen. Jeder der beiden ist einfach wundervoll. Die Charaktere sind von der Autorin wundervoll beschrieben und kommen sehr authentisch rüber. Ich hatte die Geschichte noch Stunden lesen können. Im dem Buch kommt Liebe, Leidenschaft, Schmerz, Emotionen, Humor und Spannung vor. Ein perfekter Mix aus allem. Das Buch wird aus der Sicht von Makena und Shane erzählt. Durch die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven kann man sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Das Cover ist wunderschön. Ich liebe es. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist absolut fesselnd und mitreißend. Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen. Ich hatte wundervolle Lesestunden. Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

Omg tears. This book is so awesome!! It literally brought me to tears. I love this series following Wild Irish. Great characters, swoon worthy guys you can't help but want to move to Ireland for. Plus they're rock stars. Really, why read anything else?
All of the Wild Irish books can be read as standalone, but are so much better read in order. Do you really want to miss even a moment? This book follows Shane, who has been present in the other books. The last book finds him in a precarious situation that carries into this one. There were definitely things in this book I didn't see coming. I love the way this author writes her books. Five Stars!!

Book three in Seabrook’s Wild Irish series and we’re introduced Makena a young woman who’s not long divorced from her douche of an ex who’s left her with a bruised heart and I suppose you could say some trust issues with regards to the opposite sex, she’s doing a house swap with the aim of rebooting and finding herself again what she doesn’t expect is to find herself falling for the handsome, cocky Irishman she’d originally met on the plane.
Shane is a self confessed player he’s watched the rest of his band mates fall in love and he’s adamant it’s not for him, well he was sure it wasn’t in his future until he met Makena, there’s something about her that brings out his protective side and when he finds out she’s going to be in his hometown for six months things change especially after they share an intense kiss he knows he’ll never be able to let her go she’s everything he never thought he wanted now he just has to breakthrough the walls she’s surrounded herself with that and there’s the small matter of his past coming back to haunt him.
This was another fabulous book by Seabrook who managed to hook me in right from the very start, I love the way she portrayed the main protagonists and what they went through together taking me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, great characters and a brilliant storyline which showed of her impeccable writing skills. I can’t wait to see what this author has in-store for us next.

Wish there was more then 5 stars to give this excellent book. Shane is a rockstar that is missing touring because his band mates have found love and are perusing relationships. Shane doesn't get it until he meets Makena on a airplane and falls in love himself. Makena and Shane have quite the adventure to their HEA.
I have read all of the books in the "Wild Irish Series" and each one could be read as a standalone but do your a favor and read them all. C.M. Seabrook is one of my favorite authors.

Well if you read the first book it’s like reading all of them. I hoped the 3rd book would move away from Irish guy falling in love with the very insecure American woman, but it didn’t.
I like books with syringe female characters. Not one of the 3 books had that. It gets old and annoying, quick!
I finished only because I had to. (Trying to read 80 books this year.)

Jeder Band ist in sich abgeschlossen, die Bücher bauen jedoch aufeinander auf, ein Lesen in der korrekten Reihenfolge ist daher empfehlenswert, da es allerdings bis auf die Tatsache, dass die Protas sich am Ende „kriegen“ keine Informationen in Band 3 gibt, die auf die Handlung von Band 1 bzw. 2 schließen lassen würden, ist es auch nicht zwingend notwendig, da diese Info im Grunde so oder so schon bekannt ist 😊.
Das Cover dieses Buches gefällt mir gut. Ich finde das Cover passt sowohl zu Shane als auch zu den anderen Covern der Reihe.

Makena ist ein absolut liebenswerter Mensch, der vom wichtigsten Menschen in ihrem Leben auf ganzer Linie betrogen und gedemütigt wurde. Makena ist verletzt und will, zumindest vorerst, keinen Mann mehr an sich heranlassen – schon gar nicht jemanden der im Rampenlicht steht.
Shane ist Mitglied der berühmten Band ‘Wild Irish‘ und ein Bad Boy wie er im Buche steht – dabei jedoch immer fair. Er ist offen was er zu geben bereit ist, und was er erwartet. Seine Beweggründe sind jedoch sehr viel tiefergehend als man auf den ersten Blick vermuten mag.

Mein Fazit:
"Wild Irish – Shane" passt super gut in die Wil-Irish Reihe. Mir persönlich hat dieses Buch sehr gut gefallen. Schon nach den ersten beiden Bänden habe ich mich gefragt wie Shane, der ewige Junggeselle und absolute Bad Boy, wohl bekehrt werden würde, und ich bin absolut begeistert von dem Buch.
Shane war mir natürlich bereits aus den vorherigen Büchern bekannt, Makena kam komplett neu hinzu – wieder eine Amerikanerin – und ich habe sie von Anfang an ins Herz geschlossen. Die Autorin hat mit ihr einen wirklich tollen Charakter geschaffen, der einfach liebeswert ist. Ich habe mit ihr gelitten, mich aber natürlich genauso mit ihr gefreut. Auch Shane, den habe ich noch mal ein Stück mehr lieb gewonnen – viel von seinem Charakter wird mit seine Geschichte ‘aufgelöst‘.
Ich konnte mich direkt in die Geschichte einfinden, und hatte keine Probleme mich in die, meiner Meinung nach authentischen, Charaktere hineinzuversetzen. Der Schreibstil ist, wie ich es bereits von den anderen Büchern gewöhnt war, sehr angenehm und flüssig. Um ehrlich zu sein bin ich jetzt ein wenig traurig da es vermutlich nicht noch eine Geschichte rund um Wild Irish geben wird, nachdem nun alle Mitglieder ihr Glück gefunden haben …
Von mir gibt es für dieses tolle Buch auf jeden Fall eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung.

Absorbing, compelling, captivating, sizzling from the first page to the last. Two people determined to avoid commitment but for very different reasons. Shane wants to make women sing, but only in bed. Makena wants to hide, preferably in bed, but alone. When an unintentional airplane encounter and an equally surprising knock on the door bring them into one another's orbit there's little they can do to escape from the passion and interest drawing them together. Until their respective pasts show up and threaten the tenuous relationship they've been building.
Shane, the sexy bachelor drummer of the band Wild Irish, is restless. He wishes he were on tour and is beginning to resent the other members of Wild Irish and the domesticity they've found with their spouses. Believing that there's nothing missing in his life, he's certain none of his vices are fillers for some kind of emptiness in his soul. At least, not like Cillian and Owen had before they found love. He's perfectly happy and content with bedding every interested woman he comes across. He doesn't need anything more than a drink, his music, and a willing woman. But with one random encounter with a skittish yet gorgeous American, he's headed straight for happily ever after and he doesn't even know it.
Makena has been hurt, degraded, shamed by the person she thought would love her forever. Vows apparently meant nothing to her celebrity ex and she has absolutely zero interest in getting involved with another celebrity again, even if the one both flirting with and annoying her is as sexy a man as she's ever seen. Not knowing who Shane really is, she's caught off guard with everything she learns of him as they get to know one another. Before she knows it she's falling hard and fast until her past and the tabloids catch up with them and she's ready to abandon her budding feelings in favor of the safety of hiding in anonymity.
He's determined to get her into bed, she's determined to stay out of it. It's inevitable with their chemistry that Shane's more likely to get what he wants than Makena, but what he wasn't counting on was catching his own feelings for her. They're explosive together but also amazingly tender. It feels so genuine, natural, organic how their relationship progresses. The timeline is quick, yes, but when you know, you just know. With family and friends supporting them through their courtship they see that a future between them is actually possible.
The drama that followed Shane threatened to ruin everything between him and Makena. I was predicting a reveal in the worst way and for her to jet back to America or at least break things off in a way that made him run and avoid her for a while until she came back to her senses and approached him, but what happened was immensely better than that. There were a ton of ways it could have happened but the way it came out had both predictable reactions and unexpected ones too. I liked how things worked out, that circumstances saved Makena from jumping to conclusions and kept Shane from botching the delivery too badly.
Speaking of circumstances, the issue with Shane's drama ended up being quite intense and absolutely unexpected. It was also short and resolved fairly quickly so it didn't draw too much focus away from the MC's and the relationship unfolding in the story. A flash of crazy amidst a bit of angst and a whole lot of tender revelations, sweet confessions, and hopeful promises.
I loved this story. Makena's struggles were realistic and her panicked confession that brought out Shane's offer was painfully honest and endearing. His devotion to family and music drew him to the beauty of Makena's soul. They were such a good pair for one another. The events in the story ranged from sweet to sexy and back again so many times that when the absolutely incredible epilogue rolled around I was so in love with them that I wasn't sure I could fall any deeper. I was wrong. The epilogue brought everyone together in a way that was incredibly uplifting and the perfect way to draw all three couples' story to a stunning close.

Shane, the sexy bachelor drummer of the band Wild Irish, is restless. He wishes he were on tour and is beginning to resent the other members of Wild Irish and the domesticity they've found with their spouses. Believing that there's nothing missing in his life, he's certain none of his vices are fillers for some kind of emptiness in his soul. At least, not like Cillian and Owen had before they found love. He's perfectly happy and content with bedding every interested woman he comes across. He doesn't need anything more than a drink, his music, and a willing woman. But with one random encounter with a skittish yet gorgeous American, he's headed straight for happily ever after and he doesn't even know it.
Makena has been hurt, degraded, shamed by the person she thought would love her forever. Vows apparently meant nothing to her celebrity ex and she has absolutely zero interest in getting involved with another celebrity again, even if the one both flirting with and annoying her is as sexy a man as she's ever seen. Not knowing who Shane really is, she's caught off guard with everything she learns of him as they get to know one another. Before she knows it she's falling hard and fast until her past and the tabloids catch up with them and she's ready to abandon her budding feelings in favor of the safety of hiding in anonymity.
He's determined to get her into bed, she's determined to stay out of it. It's inevitable with their chemistry that Shane's more likely to get what he wants than Makena, but what he wasn't counting on was catching his own feelings for her. They're explosive together but also amazingly tender. It feels so genuine, natural, organic how their relationship progresses. The timeline is quick, yes, but when you know, you just know. With family and friends supporting them through their courtship they see that a future between them is actually possible.
The drama that followed Shane threatened to ruin everything between him and Makena. I was predicting a reveal in the worst way and for her to jet back to America or at least break things off in a way that made him run and avoid her for a while until she came back to her senses and approached him, but what happened was immensely better than that. There were a ton of ways it could have happened but the way it came out had both predictable reactions and unexpected ones too. I liked how things worked out, that circumstances saved Makena from jumping to conclusions and kept Shane from botching the delivery too badly.
Speaking of circumstances, the issue with Shane's drama ended up being quite intense and absolutely unexpected. It was also short and resolved fairly quickly so it didn't draw too much focus away from the MC's and the relationship unfolding in the story. A flash of crazy amidst a bit of angst and a whole lot of tender revelations, sweet confessions, and hopeful promises.
I loved this story. Makena's struggles were realistic and her panicked confession that brought out Shane's offer was painfully honest and endearing. Passt hervorragend zu den anderen dieser Reihe und bietet auch einen Bezug zur Musik, auch wenn diese wie immer in dieser Reihe, etwas zu kurz kommt.
Meine Meinung:
Bereits die Vorgänger-Bände habe ich als sehr solide und entspannende Geschichten empfunden, so reihte sich diese auch ein. Der Schreibstil ist wieder flüssig und gut zu lesen, die Kapitel sind auch hier abwechselnd aus der Sicht von den beiden Protagonisten geschrieben worden, was einen guten Einblick in die Gefühls- und Gedankenwelt der Beiden emöglicht.
Makena wurde kürzlch von ihrem Mann hintergangen und verlassen, sodass sie jetzt Schwierigkeiten hat sich auf Männer einzulassen. Sie will am liebsten ihre Ruhe und eine kurze Romanze kommt ihr da nicht gelegen. Makena empfand ich als liebenswürdige und verletzliche, recht sanfte, junge Frau, die mehr als einmal bewiesen hat, dass sie das Herz einer Romantikerin besitzt.
Leider wurden ihre Gefühle für Shane aber nicht sehr glaubhaft dargestellt, ihre anfäglichen Zweifel waren sehr gut beschrieben, doch der Sinneswandel kam recht schnell und für mich nicht immer nachvollziehbar.
Shane war der typische Bad Boy. Ein Daufgänger, der gerne mit Frauen schläft und daraus kein Geheimnis macht. Bis er Makena trifft. Und bei ihr alles auf den Kopf stellt, was er bisher vom Leben zu wollen glaubte.
Ihn empfand ich als sehr gut dargestellten Charakter und seinen Wunsch mit Makena etwas Gemeinsames aufzubauen war nicht überstürzt, sondern in einem Tempo, welches ich als gut durchdacht wahrgenommen habe.
Im Laufe des Buches kamen auch Drohbriefe, welche bereits am Ende von Band zwei eine Rolle spielten, wieder vor und brachten in das Buch eine gewisse Spannung, die aber leider schnell wieder verflogen war. Auch die Auflösung dieser Drohbriefe war recht schnell und ein wenig verschenkt. Ich hätte mir hier mehr Fokus auf diesen Teil der Geschichte gewünscht, da es sehr gut in die Welt der Rockstars gepasst hat.
Die ganze Geschichte war aber durchweg unterhaltsam und flüssig geschrieben, sodass ich die Seiten nur so weg gelesen habe. Der Rockstar-Aspekt kam auch hier recht kurz, dafür aber eine andere Schattenseite der Welt der Reichen und Berühmten. Really more like 4.5/5. A little different - not quite the standard formula, so quite refreshing. Well edited.
Makena is recovering from a rather nasty and public divorce, so she listens to her cousin and embarks on a 6-month house swap. Makena trades her home with a woman in Ireland. On the flight over, she meets Shane - the last surviving bachelor of Wild Irish. Except, Makena has no idea who Wild Irish is, let alone that Shane is a member and therefore a celebrity. As her ex-husband is a celebrity, that would be a huge mark against any chance Shane would have with her. A few days later, Shane gets a call from a friend, asking him to check on the woman staying in her cottage. Imagine the surprise on both parts when Makena opens the door to Shane. Insanely attracted to each other, they try to fight it and remain in the friend zone. This is quite futile, and they embark on a whirlwind romance. There are a few ups and downs, but mostly their relationship is moving along in a linear fashion. Although neither really wants to admit to wanting to try a real, lasting relationship. Once they embrace their feelings, they own them, and vow to move forward. However, there is one obstacle neither really see coming. Will everything work out well? Hmmmm.....
I really liked that this flowed well, and went a little outside the typical formula. There wasn't a real 'we're together but one of does something stupid (usually the guy), she runs and hides and cries, but decides to move on, while he realizes he can't live without her and comes groveling back to grab the HEA'. Instead, they move through their issues, slowly realizing and talking about their fears and feelings. The only thing Shane never really talks about is that he lives his life the way he does because he fears that he will die young like his father. In his mind, it is better to live carefree and unattached than to love and then leave a grieving wife and children behind. Shane and Makena realize and admit their feelings, but just before they can ride into the sunset they face a near tragedy. Fortunately, this is a romance novel, and things turn out well.
This was a really quick, light, and fun read. Nice ending to the Wild Irish ride. Enjoy.

Der attraktive Typ, der sie auf dem turbulenten Flug nach Irland anbaggert, fällt oberflächlich genau in die Bad Boy Kategorie, die sie verabscheut, und so lässt sie ihn abblitzen. Shane Hayes ist sofort fasziniert von Makena, aber mehr als eine heiße Affäre hat er natürlich nicht im Sinn. Doch dann lernt er Makena kennen und wirft seine Vorsätze über Bord.

Sie hat nur nicht mit der warmherzigen Hartnäckigkeit der Iren gerechnet und besonders der von Shane, der sie nie wieder gehen lassen will.
Die knisternde Lovestory packt Spannung, Humor, Leidenschaft und Drama in einen Topf und heraus kommt kurzweilige Leseunterhaltung. Schöne Liebesgeschichte mit Gefühl

Meinung:
Das ist der 3. und leider letzter Teil der Reihe. Da vor allem das Pärchen im Mittelpunkt steht und die wichtigsten Informationen genannt werden, kann das Buch auch ohne Kenntnis der Vorgänger gelesen werden, aber das Wiedersehen mit bekannten Gesichtern ist natürlich schöner und man erfährt, was sich in ihrem Leben ereignet.
Der bildhafte Schreibstil liest sich locker-leicht und flüssig, die Seiten fliegen nur so dahin. Das Buch ist aus der Ich-Perspektive von Makena und Shane geschrieben, so dass man ihre Gedanken und Gefühle hautnah miterleben kann.
Die authentischen und sympathischen Charaktere sind mit ihren Stärken und Schwächen sowie Gefühlen trotz der Kürze der Geschichte sehr gut dargestellt und beschrieben worden, so dass ich nicht anders konnte, als mit ihnen mitzufühlen und mitzufiebern. Auch die Nebencharaktere sind gut bis sehr gut dargestellt worden, vor allem Owens Bandkollegen.
Bereits nach wenigen Seiten war ich in der Geschichte von Makena und Shane versunken. Trotz der Kürze der Geschichte gibt es auch Tiefgang, unter anderem durch die Vergangenheit der beiden, auch wenn diese bei mehr Seiten natürlich ausführlicher hätte behandelt werden können. Die Anziehung zwischen den beiden ist spürbar, die erotischen Szenen heiß und ansprechend geschrieben. Neben den Gefühlen kommt auch der Humor nicht zu kurz, der immer wieder durchblitzt. Vom Handlungszeitraum, der nur wenige Wochen umfasst, ging es mir zu schnell voran, aber das ist Meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau. Das Wiedersehen mit Shanes Bandkollegen und der Familie war sehr schön.
Eine schöne Liebesgeschichte mit Gefühl, die trotz geringer Seitenzahl für eine unterhaltsame Lesezeit sorgt, so dass es aufgrund des oben genannten Kritikpunkts großartige 4,5 von 5 Sternen gibt (bei Portalen ohne halbe Sterne aufgerundet) und ich freue mich sehr auf weitere Bücher der Autorin, die hoffentlich auch übersetzt werden.

The final book in the Wild Irish series really has it all- and I could not put it down. I dove right in read it from start to finish without ever once coming up for air. Pure perfection!
Makena Fraser is suffering from a broken heart after her divorce, so her cousin talks her into participating in a home exchange with someone from Ireland. While on the plane, she encounters Shane Hayes- drummer for the world renowned rock band Wild Irish. She has no idea who he is, other than being the sexiest man she has ever encountered. Both parties feel the attraction, but Makena decides that she is nowhere near ready for a relationship of any kind. Shane gives her his number anyways- just in case.
Shayne Hayes is returning to Ireland from New York after a wasted trip trying to locate new talent for his record label. He is an unrepentant playboy with a well-earned reputation. He's attractive and he knows it, so not only is he stunned when Makena refuses him, but he is also surprised that she seems to have no idea of who he is. She intrigues him, and this surprise attraction helps to take his mind off of his current problems, including his frustration with his band mates over their lack of interest in touring or creating music.
Once arriving in Ireland, several coincidences cause Shane to end up on Makena's doorstep. What follows is a terrific love story filled with such sweet moments where Shane shows Makena what it means to really live and love. The sex scenes are super hot but tastefully done, and there is a stalker subplot that adds suspense to the story.
I liked the relationship between all of the bandmates and their extended families, and it made me want to go back and read the first two books in the series to check out the other band members' love stories. This book can be read as a stand-alone without feeling lost, although there are easily understood references to the previous books scattered throughout the story.
I very much liked Taming Irish, and I will gladly read more books by C.M. Seabrook.

Shayne Hayes is returning to Ireland from New York after a wasted trip trying to locate new talent for his record label. He is an unrepentant playboy with a well-earned reputation. He's attractive and he knows it, so not only is he stunned when Makena refuses him, but he is also surprised that she seems to have no idea of who he is. She intrigues him, and this surprise attraction helps to take his mind off of his current problems, including his frustration with his band mates over their lack of interest in touring or creating music.
Once arriving in Ireland, several coincidences cause Shane to end up on Makena's doorstep. What follows is a terrific love story filled with such sweet moments where Shane shows Makena what it means to really live and love. The sex scenes are super hot but tastefully done, and there is a stalker subplot that adds suspense to the story.
I liked the relationship between all of the bandmates and their extended families, and it made me want to go back and read the first two books in the series to check out the other band members' love stories. This book can be read as a stand-alone without feeling lost, although there are easily understood references to the previous books scattered throughout the story.
I very much liked Taming Irish, and I will gladly read more books by C.M. Seabrook.

Es geht weiter mit dem ABSCHLUSSBAND der TRILOGIE. WILD IRISH – SHANE ist schon der 3.TEIL der ROCKSTAR-REIHE von C. M. SEABROOK. ICH PERSÖNLICH hatte einen etwas holprigen Start mit der Geschichte von DELANEY und CILLIAN. Die beiden konnten mich zum damaligen Zeitpunkt nicht so richtig mitreißen, BREE und OWEN dafür umso mehr und auch die Geschichte von MAKENA und SHANE hat mich TOTAL ÜBERZEUGT. Ich bin ABSOLUT BEGEISTERT. Schade, dass diese Reihe nun zu Ende ist.
Der TITEL verrät wieder den männlichen HAUPTPROTAGONISTEN, SHANE ist der ABSOLUTE BAD BOY der BAND. WILD und UNGEZÄHMT, zumindest bis MAKENA in seinem Leben auftaucht. Der WEIBLICHEN HAUPTPROTAGONISTIN hat nach all ihren Erlebnissen jemand wie SHANE ganz eindeutig nicht gefehlt, oder doch?
Ich finde beide HAUPTCHARAKTERE dieser Geschichte WIRKLICH KLASSE, bin von der Geschichte ZIEMLICH ANGETAN. MAKENA und SHANE machen es einem sehr leicht, sie zu mögen. Die Autorin beschreibt beide AUTHENTISCH und GLAUBHAFT. Die CHEMIE zwischen den beiden war von ANFANG AN GREIFBAR, auch wenn ihr Weg erstmal eher steinig war.
Der SCHREIBSTIL von C. M. SEABROOK gefällt mir auch in diesem Buch wieder SEHR. Die Geschichte ist LOCKER und LEICHT zu lesen, die AUTORIN schreibt ÄUßERST UNTERHALTSAM und erzählt die Geschichte aus den PERSPEKTIVEN BEIDER HAUPTPROTAGONISTEN. Das lässt einen tief in die Geschichte eintauchen.
Für meinen Geschmack sieht man auf dem COVER dieses Buches wieder einmal zu viel Mensch, deshalb habe ich gar nicht so genau hingesehen. Mir fällt es jedes Mal sehr schwer meine eigenen Vorstellungen zu bewahren, wenn ich ein Bild vorgesetzt bekomme.
Dieses Buch ist die PERFEKTE MISCHUNG aus unterschiedlichen Aspekten, die ich gerne lese. ROCKSTAR, BAD BOY und dann auch noch IREN. Einfach GROßARTIG! Ich war SUPERSCHNELL mit der Geschichte durch, sie hat mich SEHR GEFESSELT. MAKENAS und SHANES Geschichte ist ein GROßARTIGER ABSCHLUSS dieser Reihe.

Mit dem dritten Band der "Wild Irish"- Reihe und der Geschichte von Makena und Shane geht eine wundervolle Reise in Irland zu Ende, von dem ich gerne noch ein bisschen mehr gehabt hätte, denn das irische Setting war ein wirklich tolles Leseerlebnis!
Auch den finalen "Wild Irish" Band habe ich innerhalb wenigen Stunden restlos verschlungen und das nicht nur, weil die Geschichte so zügig vonstatten ging, sondern weil ich mich in Irland wie in jedem Band wahsinnig wohlgefühlt habe!
Makena, die nichts möchte als einfach ihre Ruhe haben und Shane, sich kein Glück genehmigen möchte, wo doch alle um ihn herum glücklich sind, eine Mischung, die wahrlich nicht zusammenpasst, doch das erste aufeinandertreffen zeigt die sprühenden Funken mehr als deutlich!
Tja, wäre da nicht die Tatsache, das Shane berühmt ist und Makena die Nase voll von Prominenten Männern hat.
Wie das Ganze weitergeht und endet müsst ihr selbst herausfinden, ich hatte mächtigen Lesespaß und trotz der Schnelligkeit der Geschichte versteht es die Autorin kurzzeitig tiefgründige Momente zu erschaffen, deren dadurch entstandener Gemütszustand dann durch einen kleinen humorvollen Moment wieder ins Gleichgewicht gebracht wird, das gefällt mir an dieser Reihe allgemein wahnsinnig gut.
Hier wird sich nicht mit unnötigen, in die Länge gezogenen Dramen beschäftigt, sondern hier geht es wirklich um Familie, Zusammenhalt und natürlich ganz groß geschrieben die Gefühle zwischen den Hauptcharakteren.
Ich habe mich in der wirklich wunderschönen Kulisse Irlands mit den wirklich tollen Charakteren so wohlgefühlt, das Finale war wirklich wunderbar und bin gespannt, ob die Autorin mich mit ihren nächsten Geschichten ebenfalls mitreißen kann.

Dernier tome de la saga, j'ai été heureuse de retrouver un nouveau membre des Wild Irish pour une nouvelle histoire d'amour. On repart pas loin de Dublin, avec des personnages à la recherche d'eux mêmes.
Makena est une jeune femme qui a su me toucher. Son ex, Chad, a détruit toute confiance en elle et a stoppé son talent incroyable. Dans cet avion pour l'île d'Emeraude, sa vie et son destin vont basculer pour le meilleur. En proie à des crises de panique, elle fera face à notre héros qui ne va lui accorder aucun répit. Il est sûr de lui et elle ne le reconnaît pas. Elle a déjà donné avec les stars donc on ne l'y reprendra plus. Ces 6 mois loin de tout devrait lui permettre de lâcher prise mais elle ne sait pas faire. La tentation est grande avec Shane mais elle sait qu'il n'est pas un homme en quête d'une relation stable. L'alchimie est présente et ce sera donc bête de ne pas succomber.
Shane Hayes regarde de loin les vies amoureuses épanouies des autres membres. Il n'a pas d'attaches et ne vit que pour la musique. Il vit donc un peu mal ce bonheur qu'on lui offre en pleine face mais ce n'est pas de la jalousie. Il ne rêve pas de se marier ou de fonder une famille. Quand il rencontre Makena, ce sera rafraîchissant car elle ne connaît pas le personnage publique et elle le repousse. Elle ne veut pas être une énième conquête très vite oubliée. Il va se sentir très vite attirée par elle et on sent que cette rencontre pourrait changer la donne. Il doit aussi faire face aux révélations du précédent tome, ce qui ajoute un peu de mystère à la romance.
Bref, je me suis régalée avec ces romances, qui se lisent vite et qui nous emportent dans ces histoires romantiques. CM Seabrook a réussi à nous emporter avec ce groupe de musique et l'épilogue est un super adieu à tous les personnages de la saga.

Loved this book! Makena has had enough drama to last her a lifetime. The last thing she needs is another high profile relationship to thrust her back into the spotlight again. It's a position she didn't want to be in in the first place. A chance meeting with a handsome stranger seems to lift her spirit, but she doesn't think she'll ever run into that man again.
Shane is one of the Irish Rock Gods in Wild Irish. Heading home to Ireland, he's pleasantly surprised when Makena bumps into him in the airplane. He's even more pleasantly surprised that she doesn't seem to notice that he's a famous musician. There's just something about her that draws him to her, but he doesn't think too much of his attraction to her other than lust at first sight. When they meet again, they try their best to stay away from feeling too much for each other, but their attraction is undeniable. When a stalker threatens the delicate balance of their relationship, will Shane be able to keep Makena safe? Or will the thrust back into the spotlight keep Makena away from Shane for good? You'll need to read more to find out.
It was a great roller coaster ride to see Shane run through the gambit of emotions when it comes to Makena, but it's so endearing when he finally gets his head together. Makena is a little bit broken, but despite the walls she continually tries to build around her heart, she is such a caring woman. I loved how all of the characters from the previous books made their appearances and how they helped bolster relationships between each other. The epilogue was epic! Love CM's books, I can't wait to see what she puts out next!

Um endlich zur Ruhe zu kommen und zu sehen, wie es nun für Makena weitergehen soll, geht es per Haustausch für sie nach Irland, das ihre Cousine für sie organisiert hat.
Während des Fluges trifft Makena auf Shane und ist von dessen Flirterei zunächst genervt, hat sie doch den Männern abgeschworen. Doch Shane, der es nicht gewohnt ist, nicht als wild Irish Rockstar erkannt zu werden und auch noch abzublitzen, gibt nicht auf und hofft Makena erneut zu treffen.
Wie es der Zufall will, treffen beide wieder aufeinander und Makena nimmt das Angebot von einer unverbindlichen Affäre von Shane an.
Was beide zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht ahnen können, ist das sie sich mehr zueinander hingezogen fühlen, als das es bloß ein ONS tun sollte.
Doch Makena sieht darin keine Zukunft, da Shane nun mal einer der Rockstars von Wild Irish ist und nach der Pleite mit ihrem Ex, dem neuem Hollywoodstar, ist ein weiterer bekannter Mann das letzte was Makena möchte.
Wird Shane Makena von sich und seiner Aufrichtigkeit überzeugen können und gibt es für beide eine gemeinsame Zukunft?
Die Story hat mich gleich in ihren Bann gezogen, dabei bleibt sie spannungsgeladen sowie abwechslungsreich. Man darf mit Makena und Shane mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende sowie brisante Momente und das ein oder andere Tränchen zu vergießen.
Ich musste das Buch in einem Rutsch lesen, da ich erfahren wollte, ob es für beide ein Happy End gab.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.
