The past doesn’t always stay buried, especially when Alice is the one with the shovel
Now that Alice Winter has a better handle on her magic, she’s intent on solving the one crime that’s eluded her for the past year - who attacked her the night of Stephen Charming’s party. The same night Anna was murdered. The night she still barely remembers.
She doesn’t want to worry Rumpelstiltskin - who seems caught up in his own family drama back in the Fae realm - so she goes to the only person who can help her: Rumple’s dangerous younger brother, Pan.
Pan has his own reasons for helping Alice, and it’s not benevolent. With Pan, it never is.
At the same time, the pieces around Anna’s murder start to crumble. Vicious affairs are exposed, evidence shows up in the most unexpected of places, and everything Alice thought she knew about herself and who she is, is revealed to be a carefully constructed lie put into place to punish the innocent and protect the wicked. The only question Alice must answer is which category does she fall into.
Isadora Brown loves all things dark, dangerous, and deadly. Things that go bump in the night and send shivers down backs are things she adores. She loves (and writes) sexy, forbidden romance, usually with some bite and a hint of magic. She is the author of The Somerset Series, The Dark Paradise Trilogy, The Stranger Trilogy, and The Neverland Trilogy.
This fifth book is Still as intriguing and entertaining as the first book! Gripping and exciting so many questions are answered and secrets revealed as once again we join Alice. Fast paced and full of adventure this had me once again lost in this amazing world created by the author. New characters and old join us on Alice’s journey that is twisty and turny and full of surprises and I am eager to read more!
I was so sad that the fifth and sixth novel weren't available in paperback! Mostly because it's so satisfying to actively move a book from the TBR case to one of my cases with read books, in this case the Wonderland bookcase. However, just after finishing the third book in the series, I saw the second collection with the last three novels was available on BookSprout and of course I didn't hesitate and downloaded the book. So today it was time to read on!
It's clear that right now we're only focussing on the bigger storyline. Who is Alice? Why does she have magic? Why did het father keep so many things under wraps? Why all the lies and false accusations? Alice only wants answers, but the more answers she gets and the more truths she finds, the more dangerous things become. Because it seems that, more than Alice knows, all those lies were actively protecting her.
Apart from the amazing plot that's getting more and more intriguing and addictive with each book, I also really love the relationship between Alice and Rumple. I'm a sucker for those stories where the bad guy has a soft spot for this one special girl and when I see how Alice and Rumple interact I can totally understand what Rumple sees in her and why she's different from each and every other human he has met so far.
I also really loved that the mystery is now getting bigger and bigger and bigger. I don't wanna give too much away, because especially all the reveals make this story so addictive, but for quite some time we've been wandering around without actually understanding the world and what was going on, but that's clearly changing now. I'm afraid I have to read another book in between, but I really hope to be able to read the series conclusion on Wednesday! I'm really excited about it!
Things are really coming Undone in this book, all the secrets, lies and cover ups are starting to unravel. I have read this entire series, and I must say I absolutely love the portrayal of Rumplestiltskin. He's quite the mysterious and intriguing imp, and also my favourite character. I could rant all day about everything I love about him, but I'll try not too. Alice is a fascinating main female, her story has been very interesting from the first book all the way through. This entire story is out of this world amazing, the dark fantasy/fairytale is a mixture of Alice in wonderland and other fairytale characters. But what makes this even more exciting is the fae addition, and Rumplestiltskin's background. If you love murder mysteries with a dark fantasy twist, then this series is a perfect one to read. I want the paperback collection, and if it comes out in audiobook I will definitely buy it.
Our heroine wants answers to her past, but they will come with a price. Is it a price she is able to pay or will it be her undoing?
This is book five of the series. There is a lot of backstory to be had, so I recommend starting at the beginning.
This is an urban fantasy story with many of the trappings of the classic Alice in Wonderland story. That being said, it is also very different and unique unto itself. The story is well written and has a lot going on which can be a bit confusing at times. There are also lots of characters, some vaguely familiar while others are completely new. The story continues to move at a fast pace and features lots of twists and turns which keep things interesting. Overall, another great story and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
Highly recommended.

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. The bargains and double-crosses at the heart of Wonderland are starting to unravel, and Alice is caught in the way of too many of those threads as they snap back on their originators. There are many revelations in this book. Most of them only serve to bring up more questions. I love Alice’s unrelenting drive to find out the truth, but I wish she had a slightly higher sense of self-preservation. Her ‘too stupid to live’ tendencies frustrate the living daylights out of me. However, I’m desperate to learn how it all turns out in the end and if any of my pet theories turn out to be correct. My fingers are already itching to get a hold of the next book. Alice's relationship with Rumple is developing, but she is still intent on solving Anna's murder. And she wants to find out who raped her and then caused her to forget it. But the dreams are bringing it all back. What will the consequences be of the truth coming to light? Rumple and her father think it will put Alice in danger - will they be able to protect her? What does Pan have to do with the riddles? Will Rumple discover where Sadie is? Loving this series, cant wait for the next book!

There are so many mysteries and secrets in this story. A real page turner trying to find out who did it. You find out some really surprising secrets along the way too. I love the ending and finding out who Mary Beth is and how she is getting her magic. I cannot wait for the next book to come it. You do find out who killed Mary Stone but not Anna. Hopefully more will come out in the next book and we will find out how Alice got her magic. A thrilling read. I would recommend this book to all.

Alice is back in book five The Seeker's Revenge in the Shadows of Wonderland series. With each book we get in the series the story gets better and better as secrets are revealed. The writing is well done, the characters are interesting and the story is packed with mystery, intrigue, unexpected twists, and a great storyline. I recommend you start reading from book one in order to get the full effect of the story. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This series just gets better with each book. And in this one, many secrets are revealed and allude to ones to come. Alice and Rumple are just cute together as they try to solve all the mysteries that seem to wonder around Wonderland. All my favorite characters are present and add so much to the story. Cannot wait to see what happens with Alice next based on what I learned this time around. Well written, it just drew me in and made it hard to put down.
I just love when a new book comes out in this series. I feel like a cartoon character wringing their hands together gleefully as secrets are unearthed, mysteries are solved, and all new questions are discovered. I especially enjoyed Alice and Rumple’s time together and learning more about him and his past and seeing more of his little brother, Pan. Wow what an ending. As I was reading the book I thought is this the last one as so much was revealed but with an ending like that there is definitely more to come. Glad that the sexual tension that has been building between Alice and Rumple in the previous books has at last been acted on. Bring on December for the next book.

Answers always come at a priceRumple & Alice find the answers that they have been looking for, but are they ready for the price that might have to pay. Many parts of the mystery unravel as secrets are unearthed, people are unmasked and answers are found.

Once again I was lost to the real world while reading this book…. Oh and what an ending…. I have to get the next book … the twists and turns are just unbelievable…. A really great read… again… as with the entire series so far….
The Seeker's Revenge, the fifth book in the Shadow of Wonderland series is the answer to all the questions weaved in the previous four books. This book was very fast-moving and has the capability to keep the readers bound to the book. Well, so far all the books in the series have been page-turners but this one had an additional edge to it. Except for the answer of "Who killed Anna?" all other mysteries are revealed and Alice takes revenge for an injustice that happened to her. This book had few chapters in Rumple's POV which helped to know the back story of the wonderland, Fae realm, and Mad Mage. Also, in this part of the book, Rumple and Alice realize what they are meant to each other. I finished reading this book in a single sitting couldn't and with the unexpected revelations at the cliffhanger, eagerly waiting for the Seeker to Return
