Mario Ramos (1958–2012) was one of Belgium's most influential picture book makers. He was born in Brussels to a Belgian mother and a Portuguese father.
You know a picturebook is going to be interesting when the endpaper is comprised of an endless stream of four digit numbers. This set the tone and I was not disappointed. A really fun near wordless, French vocabulary book (animals and numbers) for young learners, that is all about the meaning constructed by the reader(s), rather than the words on the page.
I'm glad I stole this from the French teacher in my school to take a second look!
A great book to teach young kids to count, to identify animals and to cry for their mother for each tiny winy thing. Once again, Ramos manages to squeeze a funny twist into a classical format.
Originale ed efficace! Già dai risguardi si rimane incuriositi, poi alla fine: sorpresa! E vai di seconda lettura :) Ottimo modo per insegnare i numeri ai bambini.
