Sadie Rose is an American author who pens fantasy novellas and romance novels. When she isn't writing she enjoys spending her free time reading, watching television and traveling.
She lives on the west coast with her husband, son and cat.
I didn't know this would end in a cliffhanger. I seriously was not expecting that. Sadie Rose is a new author for me. I enjoyed Roman and Olivia's story even though I feel like there is some missing information like Roman's age.
I can't lie that I have a problem with Olivia's character. I don't know why she can't just tell Roman the truth. I mean she told Raymond things almost immediately after they met. I get that she doesn't want Roman to use his money. But she could've just told him that. And she can tell Roman no, but she can't say it to her friend. I just don't find that fair. Then she got mad when he called her names. She's the one who didn't tell him things in the beginning.
I wished that it has a dual POV, I would've liked the story more with Roman's POV. Despite Olivia's character, I am still curious what's going to happen next.
This was an absolute reader delight! Spicey, sexy, and fun with a bit of drama added in for character. It's a fantastic read especially if you're short on time but want a bit of a thrill. This is my first time reading Sadie Rose and it won't be my last. Her writing style and flow are phenomenal. I so enjoy falling for new authors. ((Smiles))

*Thank you so much to Sadie Rose and the wonderful people at Inkslinger who shared this duet with me! It made my vacay!
Olivia and Roman two people in the big city meet by chance but guided by fate is a story that will not disappoint and leave you begging for more!
Roman is a man who knows what he wants and what he wants is Olivia! He has the world in his hands but he desires the fiery spirit that Olivia holds! Olivia is a woman who lives her life taking care of the ones she loves! She guards her heart but the pull between her and Roman is too much to resist!
Their fire between these two was felt immediately and I loved how both went after what they wanted!
The story is told through only Olivias point of view and does end on a cliffhanger that had me picking my jaw off the floor! I am intrigued and can’t wait to see what comes next!
I am sorry to say I think this book fell short for me. The idea that he took one look at her and all of a sudden wanted to date her seems far-fetched. I am not a fan of insta-love especially when the alpha shows his feelings too fast. It seemed like the idea of the story was there but it would have been better if there was some sort of buildup before they jumped into a relationship.
I had a hard time connecting with Olivia which I think is why the story fell short for me. I understand she did not want to seem like she was in it for the money but the fact that she was hiding her mom's illness from him seemed weird. The book ended on a cliffhanger and I have to say I wasn’t desperate to get to book two like I normally am when a book ends like that. I am going to give the second book a chance and see if they can win me over.

I enjoyed this book. Olivia and Roman have an instant connection when they happen to meet in a coffee shop. I didn't quite connect with Olivia. I think it was because she had several moments of just immaturity. Roman is the typical billionaire, alpha, controlling, gets what he wants type of guy. I really would've loved to have his POV throughout the book. We do get it in the epilogue which was nice.
I absolutely loved Raymond and hope he stays around in book 2. I'm hoping we get a little more background on Jeff and why he kept trying to talk to Olivia.
The book ended in a cliffhanger. I'm excited to see how this book will continue in the next one.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sadie Rose is a new to me author. I would be a return reader even if this book didn't end in a cliffhanger. There's your warning. Cliffhangers don't bother me. I love the drama and suspense.
Olivia gets bumped into and when she looks up the hottest man she's ever met is there. Little does she know she's going to see a lot more of him. The hotness in this book is WOWZA. And the protectiveness Roman has toward this woman he's just met is stellar.
I can't wait to read the follow up and see how this duet ends because that epilogue is genius!!
Push is the first book in the Devereaux Duet and the fist book from this author that I have read. I loved reading and and following the beginning of Roman and Olivia's story. This book is told mainly from Olivia's point of view and feel everything she is feeling. With part one ending with a cliffhanger I look forward to reading the ending of this duet
This book needs a warning with that ending.. I wasn't expecting that... also I would like to know "how old" the hero is because it says that there's an age gap, but I never found out! I hope book 2 gives me more answers...
Olivia's run in with a gorgeous guy at a coffeeshop has a lasting effect on her life when he turns out to be the big boss at her new job. But she's got a secret and when it comes out, she can only hope Roman will be able to trust in the feelings they've developed for each other, and to not jump to conclusions.
In some ways, this was a very typical billionaire story, but it was entertaining. Olivia is a strong, independent heroine, and the chemistry she and Roman had was really hot. About the only thing I didn't like, aside from the cliffhanger, was that Olivia's secret wasn't something that should have been a secret, and she should have told him early on, then all the conflict could have been avoided.

The first book by this author, and already I’m eagerly waiting for book two.
Moving to a new town is scary enough, but to leabe all you know for a man is something Olivia now regrets! And when she sees the man she’s suppose to be living her dream with another woman, Olivia is mortified! But a handsome stranger comes to her rescue. Convinced she’s never going to see him again, Olivia puts him out of her mind, so imagine her surprise when she finds out he’s the owner of the company she now works for! And he makes it plain for everyone to see that he’s interested in pursuing Olivia! But not for a chance at romance, no all he wants is a good time! No thanks, Olivia had learnt her lesson. From now on its career first and love can wait!!
But Roman doesn’t take no for an answer, and slowly wears Olivia down. But in doing so he’s captured by her, he’s fascinated with her wit and personality. She’s not interested in his money, has he really found someone that likes him as he is, and not his status?
Supporting characters were great I loved her friend Madison, and Raymond her work colleague is just so funny. And Jeff the guy she was suppose to be dating, well he’s still around, have we seen the last of him?
Told in Olivia’s point of view (although we do get to see the ending told in Roman’s point of view. We get caught up in her life and troubles, we commiserate in her losses, we cheer when she get ahead. And then throw our hands up even it all comes crashing down around her!
The ending is a cliffhanger, the next book isn’t due out till next year!! And now I’m left wondering what will happen next!!
You could wait for book two, but don’t, grab Olivia and Roman’s book, fall in love with the characters. It’s going to be a good excuse to read their story again before the next book is out.
Push is an insta-love, billionaire contemporary romance. Other tropes include office romance, age gap, and forbidden.
Push is novella length and ends in a cliffhanger. You'll want to run to read the second book, Pull.
I really enjoyed reading Push, but unfortunately I wasn't in-love with it. I had a hard time connecting with Olivia and I think that put me at 3 1/2 stars instead of 4.
While I understood where she was coming from with not wanting/needing his money, and wanting him to TRULY KNOW that she wasn't in it for the money, she drove me nuts. I found her to be a bit immature.
Her background made me feel like she'd be better at communication and dealing with conflicts in ways that reflected someone who had been through the things she had. Instead, she kept secrets and had a wall of sorts From the beginning by not giving him a chance, not talking about her mother, and lastly allowing miscommunication to keep them apart.
Roman is a bit OTT and falls in love with her at first sight. Due to this he comes out swinging and is chasing her right away. These are things I like in MMC so I had no issue with that.
I absolutely adored Raymond and hope he stays around in book 2. I love the pieces we see of Madison. She is a fierce woman and a devoted friend. It would have been nice to see a bit more of her, but it's a shorter read and I'm totally fine with a focus on the main characters.
I'm hoping we get a little more background on Jeff and why he kept trying to talk to Olivia in book 2.
There was one thing that bothered me. Not knowing how old Ramon is. What was their age gap?!
I received an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review.
Ollie finds that she has the worst taste in men after trying to surprise her boyfriend and meet him at the coffee shop he stops at, only he isn’t alone! Determined to get out of there without making a scene Ollie pushes through the door without even looking and runs right into a hard chest and spilling her drink all over her shirt and of course no time to run home and change or she will be late for her new job.
Roman finds himself loss for words after running into the stunning woman at the coffee shop but he didn’t even get her name before she ran off. In the department meeting where he meets all the new hires, he sees her and he doesn’t plan to let her go this time.
Olivia didn’t know the man she bumped into was the owner of her company until the meeting and she knows she has to stay away from him. She has come this far and she can’t get involved with someone and lose her job.
All the women Roman knows is only after him for his money but he can feel that Olivia is different and finds himself falling in love with her, until he finds out about the money. Angry and not taking the time to listen to any excuses, Roman opens his mouth and doesn’t control what comes out. The damage is done. He didn’t listen to the reasons Olivia had until she blurted them out and now she won’t let him explain.
Stay tuned and let's see what happens in “Pull, Book 2 of the Devereaux Duet”! Will Roman and Olivia get a second chance?
Push is the first book in a series featuring an age gap billionaire office romance. Olivia finds herself in an embarrassing position running into her ex at a coffee shop where she runs into handsome stranger Roman...literally. he helps her out of the predicament only for their paths to cross later that week at a meeting as CEO of the company she works for. Roman ruthlessly chases her until she finally gives into the attraction and agrees to the date. However, both come to find they each have insecurities or secrets that may sink their relationship. Told almost solely from Ollie's point of view, Roman comes across as very intense but genuine, which I don't see as a bad thing. Ollie is struggling with her big secret and debt. I see her huge heart and found her to be pretty level headed although she could have made some better decisions at times. She's also still very young and learning in life. I do think that Roman may have some hidden secrets that we didn't get hints of in this book , so I'm incredibly intrigued to see how the next book will play out. His intense feelings do tend to cloud his judgment but if you love a jealous possessive alpha....Roman fits the bill. This book still had steam and plot along with a strong narrator as the heroine. I'd absolutely read the next book in the series
I really liked the story between Olivia and Roman. He definitely is the guy who falls first. It happened really really fast and that is what threw me off at first but then I realized the book is fast pace so it made total sense. I had no idea that the book would end like that. It took me by surprise that is for sure. Olivia's and Roman's story is not over just yet. Olivia has just gotten out of a relationship. So when she got a text from her ex she had the last bit of hope and went to go bump into him at his favorite cafe. What she didn’t expect was him showing up with a new girl. Therefore she could only do the right thing. Sneak out and leave as if she was never there. The plan might have working in her head but when she went for the door, someone slammed it open and she spilled her drink all over her blouse. That someone was amazingly handsome and it was hard for her to focus. If that bump-in wasn’t embarrassing enough, on the second day of her new job she also found out the hot coffee guy was her boss’s boss. Roman was the head of Devereaux Industries. She worked so hard to be here and now her very hot and handsome dream man is staring into her eyes and undressing her with his eyes. What could possibly go wrong?
This is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last because Push is everything I want in a great read. This is Olivia and Roman’s story and I do have to warn you that it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger but it’s a duet so that should be expected. Olivia and Roman bump into each other in a coffee ship and I mean literally where she ends up with coffee down her blouse and all this happens before she is about to start her dream job well imagine the shock when she heads to her welcome meeting to find Roman is the owner of the company. What follows is a man determined to win over the woman he wants and he is used to getting what he wants but Olivia is no push over and even though she is attracted to him she won’t give up without a fight after all he is technically her boss, so what will happen if ir when lines are crossed……. This book ticked all my boxes, I swooned, I sighed, I smiled and at times I wanted to scream, I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line. I’m now left wanting more and I’m excited for the conclusion to Olivia and Roman’s romance .
Okay y’all. Here we are again! I had the lovely opportunity to read Push (Pull coming next) from Sadie Rose 🥀 I finished it in just a couple of days. I could not put it down!
Here’s the scoop:
Olivia just graduated from college. She has student loan debt (girl same) and dealing with her mother’s illness and medical bills. She lives with her best friend. She gets a nice job at a new company. Low and behold she bumps into the CEO of the company Roman Devereaux, on the first day of work at a coffee shop trying to spy on her now ex boyfriend. Roman rescues her by pretending to be dating her.
She has no idea that she bumped into the CEO until the next day at a team meeting. Roman can’t stay away from her. He wants to be around her. Their chemistry is 🔥🔥
Roman is a little controlling and overbearing. Very Christian Grey with having security, CEO, his bedroom game is 😏🤤🔥But no red room. Sorry ladies 😅
The ending leaves me in fumes with how Roman behaves due to some news. But I am hungry for more!
Roman & Olivia meet when she's literally bumped into, and the sparks are flying, He's the hottest thing she's ever seen, but she does have a guarded heart. Roman is a man who gets what he wants, and he wants Olivia so let the games begin. Olivia spends her time taking care of those she loves, and while she's not sure about Roman, the heart wants what the heart wants so she won't be able to deny him for long. These two were seriously combustible together as their chemistry shot out of my kindle to surround me & I may or may not have been sweating LOL! In between all of the sparks, there are a couple of twists & turns to keep me guessing, and it all leads to a cliffhanger ending so I'm very intrigued to see how it will all play out at the end of the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Olivia is that cute girl next door who just wants to live life and enjoy her new job. When she runs literally into a smoking hot man she doesn't realize everything that she has planned is about to change. Roman is sexy and will make you melt. When Roman and Olivia met there are sparks that fly, but also something else. When she finds out he's her bosses boss's boss well things will be a little awkward. What I loved though is that Roman knows exactly what he wants and he may be hot and rich, but he's a bit awkward too and I love it. These two will have their issues, but their love does shine through. When someone threatens that Roman will do what he can to protect her. Secrets and lies will be pushed to the surface and they will have to decide if love can really conquer all.
Solid 3 1/2 stars, rounded to 4. Great story, I loved the main characters and that cliffhanger 👀👀, I am so damn proud of Olivia. She is smart and refuses to be taken advantage of. She always chooses her battles wisely. Roman, was the typical over bearing alpha-hole, he was a man set on a mission to get what he wants. I cannot wait for book 2, the second part of this duet has so much potential I cannot wait to see how Sadie wraps this up.
The only dislikes are totally personal preference, I dislike the overuse of the nickname "babe" and at one point her friend calls her "bae". Like I said just personal preferences.
Push is the first book that I’ve read by Sadie Rose and wow! For a semi-new author this was an incredible office romance!
The story of Olivia Monroe and Roman Devereaux kept me turning the pages well into the night! I ended up reading the first book in one sitting because it was so good!
Olivia and Roman meet by chance on Olivia’s first day at her new job in San Francisco. It doesn’t exactly start off the way she was hoping as she quite literally bumps into a handsome stranger after getting her morning caffeine fix. What Olivia wasn’t expecting was to see the handsome stranger that she can’t seem to stop thinking about is her new boss! And not just her boss but her boss’ boss’ boss!
This doesn’t deter Roman though from persuing Olivia. Push is an aptly named title for this book as there is quite a bit of pushing and pulling happening from both of these characters.
I truly enjoyed seeing the softer side of Roman as he explores his relationship with Olivia. This book will definitely pull at your heart strings and more!
Can’t wait to devour the second book to see what happens!
3.5 Stars! This is an interesting story, but if this were real life, I’d be scared as hell for Olivia.
Roman is just too good to be true. He has a massive case of insta-love and you just don’t understand his hard core pursuit of Olivia. He’s controlling to the highest order, wants unprotected sex their first time, is both her boss and her landlord. So many red flags!
This ends on a cliffhanger because Olivia has been keeping secrets from Roman and he finds out and freaks out. All the blame falls on Roman, but I can’t really blame him for freaking out when his girl is hiding stuff from him.
Push by Sadie Rose Pull by Sadie Rose releases tomorrow! This is a duet so Push must be read first ⭐️4.5/5 🔥5/5 Story is of Ollie and Roman and their chance meeting that turns into a whirlwind of drama and desire. I love Roman and really don’t think their age difference is that big of a deal. I will say I was super annoyed at Ollie and some of the choices she made throughout the book. I was yelling at the book lol
Blurb:
Fresh out of college, Olivia Monroe has a new apartment and a new job living in San Francisco with her best friend. Hoping for a fresh start drama free, Olivia has a chance encounter with an attractive stranger who turns out to be more than she bargained for.
This is the first book in a duet and is Olivia and Roman’s journey. Newly out of college Olivia is looking for a drama free fresh start, and she crosses paths with Roman in a coffee shop. Roman is a billionaire who is controlling and knows what he wants out of life, and that is Olivia. Olivia guards her heart closely and spends her life taking care of those she loves. There are many unanswered questions in this story, which ends in a cliffhanger. This is a good story which has secrets, insecurities, undeniable chemistry, and love. I look forward to reading the conclusion of this duet, and I recommend this authors work.
This is the first book in a duet. Olivia meets Roman by accident, the hottest alpha male EVER that she can't stop thinking of who ends up being the owner for the new company she works for. He can't stop thinking of her either, it's pretty much insta-love. They start a relationship which comes with ups & downs.....This book ends in a down....and Roman is trying to fix things....Olivia is omitting things.....things happen......ends on a cliffhanger.....and if you hate cliffhangers, these are such easy, fun reads...you won't mind. Now go read Book 2!
This is book 1 in the Devereaux Duet and obviously ends on a cliffhanger, but it's worth it. Olivia and Roman bump into each other in a coffee shop, literally. It's Olivia first day on the new day which she laters finds out is with Roman. They had instantly chemistry but certain things stood in their way. Again, book ends on a cliff hanger, and having already for book 2, this duet is worth it.
I absolutely enjoyed this story so much. Roman is a little bit older than Olivia but knows exactly what he wants and he wants her. Olivia knows what she wants and she guards her heart like no other.. The chemistry between them is so present you can feel it from the first time they meet. I can’t wait to see what comes next
Loved it. Can't believe that i have to wait. Definitely this book surprise me the characters made you fall in love with their story, the way they are written and with the path that each of them takes. Sadie did an amazing job keeping me reading non stop and how she created this world. Definitely a must read.
Push is the first book in the Devereaux Duet and the fist book from this author that I have read. I loved reading and and following the beginning of Roman and Olivia's story.
